It is time for Shattered Soul Stone, featuring the latest news from sanctuary and beyond. Each episode, a heroic party of Nephilim Band together to help keep you informed on everything in the Diablo universe. And now your Diablo Community podcast. Coming to you from somewhere in sanctuary. This is episode 4, 2 8 of Shattered Soul Stone, your Diablo Community podcast. This episode is called Return of the King. It is September 29th, 2023. And this is Jen.

I've got a whole bunch of stuff to talk about in here as usual, and I'm just gonna get started. So the first thing is from i gn.com, written by Wesley Yin Pool. It is titled F T C Revives Challenge against Microsoft's $69 billion Activision Blizzard Buyout. Um, and uh, this is from September 27, the Federal Trade Commission F t c plans to move forward with its administrative case against Microsoft's $69 billion buyout of Call of Duty maker Activision Blizzard.

The F T C announced its plan to move forward with its in-house trial after a pause put in place during the summer. However, without a preliminary injunction, the F T C cannot prevent Microsoft from closing the deal. Before the October 18 deadline in July, F T C Boss, Lena Khan was accused of wasting taxpayer money with an appeal of the Xbox trial verdict. And Khan is facing similar criticism now following the revival of its

administrative case. Activision Blizzard Executive Lulu Chang, Missouri tweeted to say the company is focused on working with Microsoft toward closing end quote, before adding quote, how the F T C uses limited taxpayer resources is their decision.

Uh, then there's a little more here. I've probably read this before, um, in previous shows, but if you missed it in April, the UK's competition and Markets Authority C M A, uh, competition Markets Authority announced its final report on the acquisitions

citing competition concerns around cloud gaming in the uk. Since then, Microsoft has defeated the F T C in court, obtained approval from key regulator of the European Commission, and secured an agreement with console rival Sony for the provision of Activision Games on PlayStation for a decade. In August, Microsoft submitted a new Activision Blizzard deal for review. After the C M A confirmed the original deal was blocked.

This revised deal involves selling off Activision's Cloud gaming rights to Ubisoft, which would be free to Port Cloud versions of Activision Blizzard games to any platform. And finally, on September 22, the C M A announced that it, this New deal addresses its previous concerns and quote opens the door to the deal buying being cleared. Microsoft has an October 18 deadline to deliver the buyout, which now looks inevitable.

The FTCs internal judge will hear its arguments on why Microsoft should not be allowed to buy Activision Blizzard 21 days after an appeals court rolls on whether the deal may go forward. So that's the thing. This is just gonna hang over everybody's heads in the business here, you know, um, blizzard, Microsoft King, you know, all this stuff,

all this stuff. Um, Activision, we'll see where it goes. I think that, uh, Microsoft, Activision, et cetera merger is going to probably go through at this point. And I don't think there's much to worry about, but there's always somebody who doesn't like what's going on in a court case and wants like another bite at the apple, so to speak. So here we are and, uh,

some of you might be going to BlizzCon. I am not gonna be there, as I've said in previous shows, I'm immune compromised and I'm not sure my body's going to handle being in a room full of that many people again, so I'm just not going this time around. And we'll see about whenever they do this again. Uh, so we have from Wow head written by, let's see, Rios, and this is titled Connect and Conquer Women's Networking Event at BlizzCon 2023, we have a logo.

There is like a shield with a banner over it that has the word connect. There is some kind of pink lotus looking flower in the middle of the shield with an ampersand on it and a sword over that that says Conquer. For some reason, there is dashed lines between every letter on the sword, but not on the word connect. This is gonna happen on November 2nd, 2023 at 7:00 PM p s t in the Grand Ballroom Marriott Hotel.

BlizzCon is a time for players all over the world to get together and celebrate our experiences together within the grading greater gaming community. So we are pleased to highlight, connect, and Conquer a special pre BlizzCon event on Thursday, November 2nd for women, gender, minorities and allies to meet network and interact with a panel of women active in all facets of the gaming industry. You have to R S V P for the Connect and Conquer event on November 2nd.

Connect and Conquer is a registered nonprofit organization with the goal of creating an event where women, gender, minorities and allies in the Blizzard ecosystem can meet and network ahead of BlizzCon 2023. This inaugural event will take place on Thursday, November 2nd, 2023 at the JW Marriott Hotel at the Convention Center. Quote, making connections inside gaming eSports and content creation can be very

difficult. When I started working in the industry, I dreamed of an event like this that would help me build strong connections for networking and mentorship purposes. As we look forward to the first BlizzCon since 2019, the planning committee and I are striving to make the event we wish we al we wish had always existed, says founder Jesse Lasseter, formerly a g m of Method and current head of operations for Game Builds. So it's gonna be Thursday, November 2nd Grand Ballroom,

Marriott Hotel Convention Center. Everyone is welcome. We only ask that respect is given to the purpose of the event. And the other attendees, you know, you're gonna have people in there that are gonna come in and just try to be disruptive because this is what happens with a lot of things. So it's a thing. I don't know who's going, I dunno how long this will be. I know where it's at now. You know where it's at. If you're going,

you can check that out. Let's see, we had, uh, there is an article here from Wow Head called Additional Tickets for BlizzCon 2023 Go Sale, go On Sale September 29. It's like almost the end of September 29. As I am, uh, posting this. It's got a really neat banner looking thing that's probably for the latest BlizzCon. You can see there's a, a Warcraft gnome, there's Winston from Overwatch,

there's a Lilith standing there looking pensive. There's a, looks like an elf with purple skin holding some Hearthstone cards and there's an orc and I'm not sure which one right now. So that's what that is. Okay, if you were to do this, uh, it's probably too late now, but yeah, you could get BlizzCon tickets through this A X Ss account. You are supposed to make one in advance. This seems kind of tedious to me. I I'm not going anyway, so it doesn't matter to me.

But that might be kind of confusing for other people 'cause I don't think they used this a X thing before, but they have it now. So there's that. There's also this like map here with all of the various characters at the top that I've just mentioned. So there's gonna be a community night to watch the community take to the stage. There's a spend time together area, meet friends and share stories. The March of the Melos will be happening. Join in the tradition.

There is going to be a Hell's Ink thing and get the Dark Lord's mark. There's the opening ceremony. Of course, this year's biggest news and key reveals Overwatch World Cup is gonna happen. One team will take home the cup. There is a sharable moments thing. I'm not sure what that is, but it's got a picture of Lilith, a very bright picture of an aria. And, um, something else off to the side. I don't know what that is exactly. There's a gray screen with a little shield over it and an Overwatch logo

that says Meet the New Hero. No idea what that's going to be. Play upcoming content for Dragon Flight and Classic World of Warcraft. There's a dual a dev challenge us, uh, are, are you gonna come out with Nerf swords or are we talking about how much Lord do you Now, I guess you'll find out when you get there, there's a Rumble Mania exhibition matches going on, or there will be, there's a guild clash who will come out on top.

You could also buff your inventory, leave with a free BlizzCon backpack. There's an inclusion nexus. Celebrate what connects us. I think there was an inclusion nexus area one of the last times I went to BlizzCon and it was like up the stairs and all that stuff and you could just kind of chill in there and they were doing like little mini panels and stuff and um, there was a little bit of food, like I think there was like lemon bars or something that one year and

uh, stuff like that. It's something that in my experience, unless it's changed, you could come up there if you were, um, I guess I'm gonna use the phrase Blizzard did a gender, gender minority. And you could like come up there and chill and not have to worry about being harassed. Um, and there was like a huge, um, I don't know, I can't remember if it was a whiteboard. It wasn't a chalkboard, but you could use like markers to write something happy on there. And uh,

so I think we did that. Yeah, there's that. There's also the Dark Moon Fair again, which is all like in black light kind of stuff and has some like strange little last time I was there, uh, carnival, like things you could, uh, mess around with. And then there's the Hi Rodrick library, which sounds fascinating, but I think what it is is probably art from Diablo four or Diablo three, that kind of stuff. And then there's an and more to be revealed.

So whatever that is, um, I guess we'll find out eventually. Right? Hamir Blanco, who does a whole lot of art for Diablo four, has a picture of Lilith. And in a previous show I talked about Lilith and Denarius being added as characters in Call of Duty. And so here's Jamir Blanco on X, who wrote to this character I worked on will soon be a playable character in MW

two. You already know who I'm going to be blasting Mofos as, and there's like an emoji of like a bang, you know, and a, a green little gun and a, a Diablo looking face in there, sort of like a demon. Lilith is standing in the middle of this. The image it's from has kanji in it, so I can't really read to you what that is, but she's holding this huge shotgun with an image of her face on the side,

which is just kind of hysterical to me. You know, , um, somebody asked, do you feel a little icky about her being in c o d? Really hate what they've done to that game personally. And Jamir Blanco says, personally as one of the main artists who made her, I think it's awesome, can't wait to go around dropping bodies as the character I literally worked on, not even in the game I made for her, l o l, you know, .

So that's kind of fun. And then we have how I titled the show, return of the King World of Warcraft on September 26th. Posted a little tweet on a little tweet. Are we still calling them tweets? I guess I am. Um, on X it says Citizens of Aro. We are excited to share that Chris Metson has taken on a full-time role as executive creative director of the Warcraft universe right now. His main focus is supporting our world of Warcraft leadership in crafting the next generation of adventures.

Chris was instrumental in developing the foundations of the Warcraft universe and we are thrilled for him to rejoin our teams in shaping what's to come at BlizzCon. He and the team will be sharing what we've been working on. We hope to see you there. Matson responds to this and says, it's been amazing working on Warcraft again, like coming home, the stories we're developing right now, how the world unfolds over the next few years. Well, I can't wait for y'all to see where we're headed.

And then writes soon with a little asky smiley face in there, which seems about right. PC Gamer wrote an article titled Chris Metson returns to Blizzard full-Time to create the next Generation of Adventurers in World of Warcraft. Written by Andy Chalk Metson retired from Blizzard in 2016, but took an advisor role in 2022 and now he's back for real.

And here is a picture of him, it's an image credit. Uh, Metson is sitting on a couch with all of these different figures from various franchises around him, and he's got a shirt that looks like it's got a cartoon image of some kind with like the little bubbles with speech in them. And someone slightly off camera is holding a microphone towards Chris Metson and the microphone says PC Gamer. So I guess they got an interview.

So this is what was written by Andy Cho. Chris Metson, the former senior Vice president of Story and Franchise Development at Blizzard has returned to Warcraft and this time it's for real. Blizzard announced today that Metson has taken on a full-time role as the creative ex executive creative director at the Warcraft of the Warcraft universe.

Metson had a long and storied career at Blizzard and was one of the company's most visible figures known for his work on major game series, including Warcraft, StarCraft, and Diablo. He was the creative director on the world of Warcraft, m m o and some of its most popular expansions, including the Burning Crusade, wrath of the Lich King and cataclysm, and held the same role for the multiplayer f p s Overwatch.

He announced his retirement from game development in 2016, the same year Overwatch came out saying he wanted to take some time to focus on his family. He eventually decided to try his hand at board game development with a 2021 project called A Robbers. Coils of the Serpent. And in 2022, he dipped his toes back into Warcraft Waters by taking on the role of Creative Advisor on the Warcraft series. His new job sounds like it will be much more hands on. Uh,

there's a little bit in here. I'm not gonna read you everything that was said. There is a video in here if you want to check that out. Uh, we are excited to share that Chris Metson has taken on a full-time role as creative creative executive director of the Warcraft Universe. Blizzard announced on Twitter and we've kind of, uh, got that already. That's embedded in this article as well. If you don't wanna go on ecstasy, it, it's right there, you can do it that way.

And the tweet from Metson is there too. So to continue this article, Metson teased that reveal in his own tweet announcing his comeback. And we've got the quote from that there I've already read to you. It's a pretentious moment. Many players expect Blizzard will unveil a new World of Warcraft expansion at BlizzCon, beginning with Wrath of the Lich King in 2008. Wow. Expansions have dropped at a rate of one every two years with the most recent Dragon flight arriving in 2022.

That makes 2024 the presumed target for the next expansion, which fits with a BlizzCon 2023 reveal in November. Medicine's Return to Warcraft comes at a time when Blizzard is in Fluxx last minute, downgrades to Overwatch. Two left fans unsatisfied and angry while Diablo four stumbled badly at launch. Oh yes, yes it did. And it's still struggling to find its footing. Blizzard also never seemed to fully recover from the allegations of widespread discrimination and sexual harassment at the company.

Something Metson apologized for in 2021. He was never publicly implicated in any wrongdoing, but said that he and other people in leadership positions at Blizzard quote failed too many people when they needed us because we had the privilege of not noticing, not engaging, not creating necessary space for the colleagues who needed us as leaders. So that is from PC Gamer Tweak Town also has an, uh, article titled WOW alum.

Chris Metson returns to Blizzard to Lead Warcraft franchise having pioneered the M M O R P G space in with his work on World of Warcraft. Chris Metson returns to Blizzard to lead the billion Dollar Warcraft franchise written by Derek Strickland. Okay, today Blizzard announced some big news. Chris Metson is back in a leadership role and will now oversee the entire Warcraft franchise. Matson's current duty is to help shape the future of World of Warcraft as the

game moves closer to its 10th anniversary. Wow. 10th anniversary. That's a big one. Quote. Uh, that's a quote from the from x I think. Yeah, Metson also had his own statement. We've read that already. It's also on X. You can get it from either of these Muse articles if you like one over the other. If it's, if it's anyone who understands Warcraft, it's Metson. He helped define shape and ship the franchise through multiple releases and iterations at Blizzard.

Metson served as creative director of the original 2004 launch World of Warcraft, as well as expansions like the Burning Crusade wrath of the Lich King and Cataclysm Matson's return is quite timely, but it's not exactly new. In 2022, Bloomberg reported that Metson came back to Blizzard to help turn around flagging morale and inspire more excitement around the Warcraft. Franchise Warcraft remains one of blizzard's most lucrative properties.

It's one of the publisher's illustrious eight x billion dollar franchises. And the franchises pivot towards a service model that fits nicely with Microsoft's ambitions. Once the Microsoft Activision merger closes World of Warcraft will be a shiny new gem in Xbox's Crown. Other advancements to look out for, for include warcraft's possible inclusion on consoles and mobile devices in a meaningful capacity. In 2021, we reported that Blizzard's most exciting new project was an,

was a unified cross-platform games engine. Since then, blizzard has manifested this engine with multiple releases like Diablo Immortal, which supports cross play on both PC and mobile and Diablo four, which does the same for PC and console. It will be interesting to see how if at all this new engine is applied to Warcraft, could we see World of Warcraft on consoles at some point?

And that's the end of that one. So on September 19, Diablo Mortal, uh, posted a news thing, uh, witnessed the Dark Rebirth in Tristrum Cathedral and it's still going on to my understanding. Um, I've kind of skimmed through a lot of the imagery in here and there's a lot of stuff that can still be done. I'm gonna tell you the ones that still appear to be live. There's a lot going on in Diablo of Mortal right now. Uh, let's see.

Okay, there's an alley of blood thing happening, which can be played in two styles in eight versus eight fashion in shadow war, and a four by four fashion in the alley of blood limited time event. It is starting, that might be over, I'm not sure. It's a starting 9:00 PM server time. A list of the weeks matches is announced. Uh, I don't know if that's still going on. I really don't. It doesn't say a specific thing. Oh, here we go.

We've got the Alley of blood event from September 21, 3:00 AM to October five, 3:00 AM server time, a four by four version of Alley of Blood will be available to players. That means this is live. Now this event is especially good for those new to Diablo Immortal because of the rules of engagement listed below, uh, your characters will be set to level 60. The rank of all legendary gear and set gear will be set to one. The rank for all legendary gems on your character will be set to 10.

There's some, uh, things they've disabled as well for that. That's kind of for new players. It's gonna be three new legendary gems. I have the unyielding rank 10 Viper's bite rank 10 and void Spark rank 10. I have not played this game in quite a while.

I keep thinking I'm gonna do it, but no. From September 21, 3:00 AM to October 12, 2 50 9:00 AM Server time players will have the option to enable a modified drop table for their legendary crests when running Elder Rifts once enabled, whenever you receive a five star legendary gem as a drop, there's a 50% chance it will be void Spark. There's a Champion's Revolt Limited Time event. Let's see if that's still live. Looks like it is September 21 through October 5th, 3:00 AM server time.

You can embark on the Champion's Revolt tasks, which can be completed infinitely to receive champions commendations. When you have a total of 1,200 champions commendations each week, uh, you have that once you've gathered a sizable chunk of commendations, they can be exchanged for rewards such as gold scrap materials, enchanted dust, legendary items to loic pearls and legendary crests. There's also a season 18 battle pass called Fresh Meat.

It's kind of based on the butcher, some really nasty looking costume type things in here. And that one is probably still live, I would guess it goes through October 26th at 2:59 AM server time. So you have time to mess around with that Battle pass. There's a Deathless Destiny Phantom Market. Uh, what the heck is that? Uh, it goes through October 19 and it gives you a bunch of stuff, um, that you can possibly get because items from the phantom market are acquired randomly per draw.

We want to provide the initial draw rates for each item to aid in deciding if you would like to engage with the event past your first free draw. Note to the drop rates provided below are for the first draw only and we'll adjust to reflect the relative probabilities of the remaining items in the Phantom market item pool. So there's a whole bunch of things in here if you wanna check on that.

There is a Recruit a Friend event starting on September 21, 3:00 AM You can start this, uh, recruit a Friend event you have until November 16 to complete tasks and earn rewards. The Hungering Moon event is back and that one's gonna go until uh, today. So that one's over fractured plane. That one is started September 29 and going through October 6th, six, um, shady Stock, September 30 through October seven Trials of the Warriors.

October two through October nine conqueror and that one's through October 13th. So there's still a lot of stuff you can do in here if you wanna, I might give at least some of this a try, but I'm not gonna do all of it. I'm sure there's a perils of the f goes through October 15, some feature updates in here and other random stuff. So if you're into that, give it a try. There's an immortal cloak upgrade, which looks like shiny wings of some kind or something. Shadow assembly,

elder riffs whole deal. So that's a lot of stuff that's they, they put a lot of stuff into this one and I might try to pop in and do a couple things. Wow. Head has an article titled Diablo two Resurrected. Season five is now live. This is written by Arcane, uh, there's a lovely image in here from, um, Diablo two with like this demon thing.

So here's what's been written in here by arcane the hoards of hell once again renew their assault on the mortal world with a fiendish zeal Diablo two resurrected Season five has officially begun. Yeah, it is. So Filthy Rich Community Manager says this, this hot fix has completed rolling out to all players game update.

The hatreds chosen buff in the fields of hatred will no longer grant seeds of hatred from attacking players and pets. The additional seed generation will now only trigger off of killing monsters. And there was a bug fix fixed an issue where grim favors could sometimes not be received after killing a world boss. That's kind of a downer. , you know, uh, wow. Head's got another thing here. They do like to highlight to the art of Diablo four.

This one is titled Art Blast Spotlight Brian Bellamy Diablo four Environmental Art written by Jazz Tross. I hope I'm pronouncing that right. I honestly have no idea. So it's in Art Station. Some of the art is sitting in this wow head article, which I think is easier to access than the, than the Art Blast one. Uh, art Station magazine published an art blast focused on the environments and lighting of Diablo four.

The piece featured selections of the work of many Blizzard artists focusing on their particular specialty, whether that be modeling, sketching or more. The art department at Blizzard consistently knocks the ball out of the park with their work and to celebrate we're spotlighting what they made for Diablo four this time with Brian Bellamy, associate lighting artist. Brian Bellamy has done incredible work on Diablo four.

Take a look at some of these stunning frames and I can't really explain them all to you, but there's one here of someone standing on what looks like it could be a portal of some kind, and it says by three they calm lighting. So that's what that is there. Um, there's another one. It's, uh, some things that are on fire in a dimly lit room. There's a very glowing portal in this other room. I'm not sure where in the,

you know, it's a cryp lighting apparently. There's, uh, let's see, veneration of destruction, the lighting on that area. There's a, um, a variation, a portal that gets you there apparently, and you can check out the rest on Art Blast and on Art Station. There's links to that, uh, in the article. So Pez radar Adam Fletcher got on r slash dia four because of course, and wrote this.

There is a line in the blog that I've seen some questions on that I want to clarify, quote, the developer update live stream also details many quality of life updates arriving throughout season two. End quote. This was being interpreted as if we have quality of life changes coming throughout the season only and not at the start.

I will say we have a significant amount of changes coming at the start of the season and we will be talking about that on October 4th, but we are also committing to a bunch more in subsequent updates all throughout season two as well. And, and we will share the first one of those on October 10th with that stream and more at BlizzCon. And then there's all these questions in here and I'm not sure if he answered any

of them, but yeah, there's a lot in here. And this was, this thing was titled, uh, dev four, DIA four dev update October four and 10. So that's when that's going to happen. Uh, we've also got a blizzard one specifically about the livestream on October four. It's titled Tune Into our Next Developer Update Livestream. Uh, this was posted on September 27.

Our next developer updates livestream arrives on October four at 11:00 AM p d t. It dives into the looming season of blood and many details on the quality of life updates first announced at Gamescom Opening Night Live 2022. Join members of the development team along with associate director of community, Adam Fletcher. That's Pez radar, who will unveil the vampiric scourge that has descended on sanctuary and the sinister power they possess.

Learn what it takes to fight against this rising tide of evil and harness the power of their potential blood for your own means. Okay, . Now I've been playing Vampire the Masquerade for a while with some friends and I'm like, Hmm, that didn't go so well in something I did in that game. . So, okay. The developer Update livestream also details many quality of Life up updates arriving through season two.

The team will talk about community requested features such as additional stash space and functionality, improvements to Dungeons Mounts and much more. We'll also hold a segment at the end of the stream for players to field their questions directly to the team. Plus on October 10, we're having a campfire chat that will feature a deep dive on upcoming class balance changes and reworks to several in-game systems.

You can find this on Twitch or YouTube channels to watch live, and if it's on YouTube, you'll be able to see it even if you missed the first one eight days ago, arcane posted Diablo four developer update livestream date announced in next week. They've got the devs all, um, around a campfire with the heads of the devs on various, uh, character classes are just kind of silly, but it's, it's all right.

I think I might've mentioned this before. Uh, Diablo community developer director Adam Fletcher, has made an announcement on Twitter confirming that the developer update live stream is coming soon after what seemed like a prolonged silence from Blizzard. We were teased about the hours of season of blood information to be left with bated breath until now. So there's that, there's not a whole lot to that one. And then the last thing here, I find absolutely freaking hysterical.

This is from Wow Head written by Jez Art Truss and it's titled this Elon Musk to test X livestream scaling with Diablo four. And then it says dash postponed because of course it is . There's this very interesting picture of Elon Musk coming out of what looks like some stairs through a portal. And he is holding up his hands. He's wearing a black long sleeve, uh, jacket of some kind. It's kind of a long jacket and black pants and black shoes. He's holding up his hands as if he's appeasing a crowd.

I know not where they got this image from, but I do know for a fact that as someone who writes for various websites, um, if Elon Musk is, uh, part of the subject of whatever article I'm moving over for work, uh, you can find a varied variety of Elon Musk making strange faces or gestures. So this is just one of them and they've planted him inside an area where there seems to be a bunch of angels on one side and a bunch of demons on the other. And it's just hysterically funny.

So everything I talk about will be in the show notes and you can check it out. It's just really funny to me the way they did this. And a lot of this is just like posts from X here's an ex, uh, sort of a description to make this make sense. So want to see a tier 99 nightmare dungeon speed run with a few million of your closest friends. Now's your chance tonight. Approximately half an hour from the time of this posting, Elon Musk will be showcasing X's livestream scaling by playing Diablo four.

Obviously it has been postponed to the 28th and today's the 29th. So who knows? So here are some kind of odd tweets from Elon. I guess I'm still gonna call them tweets. We'll test X livestream scaling tonight at approximately 11:00 PM That little, you know, till day in the middle CT with some silly stuff. People have asked me to stream myself playing video games. So I will try to speed run a tier 99 nightmare dungeon on Diablo with no malignant hearts. Next one, by speed run,

I mean complete fairly quickly for an amateur. Please keep expectations low. There's sort of a laughing, crying, smiley face there. Followed up by, sorry, still doing work, probably live streaming in around 1:00 AM CT follows up to that unfortunately still working. We'll have to postpone to tomorrow. That was on seven September 27. And then there's a descriptor here. Musk has previously publicly praised Diablo for on X speaking about his love for the franchise.

While it seems Diablo three may have been a miss in his book, who can't say they share the same opinions on the classic Diablo and Diablo two. So here's another one. Diablo four is a great game, nice work by Blizzard Entertainment. That's from August. Following that, let's see, uh, replying to Elon Musk and Blizzard Entertainment. Digi, uh,

Tesla owner Silicone Valley account in August. Asked, did you play previous Diablo games before Elon responds Diablo one and two were excellent, didn't love Diablo three, but four is great Musk plans to test live stream scaling has been postponed to 9 28, which we know now is postponed indefinitely as X is still working on the new livestream feature. That being said, we're looking forward to seeing how it goes. After all,

Musk himself seems to be trying to temper expectations. Um, and there's a tweet here, will test x livestream scaling tonight at 11:00 PM c t with some silly stuff and then has the speed run thing in there. Here's my opinion on all of this. It's cool. He likes Diablo four, right? I mean, any Diablo game, if someone outside of, you know, one who you would think of as playing Diablo games, I mean sure go murder stuff in Diablo four, that's fine.

I have no problem with Elon wanting to do that. The problem I see is, uh, if this was going to be the test for the livestream thing, which apparently isn't quite done yet, how's he going to like, okay, did he not, this is just me speculating. Did he not understand that in order to livestream on X you have to have a viable working livestream feature that you can actually use that other people can see.

Did he not understand that part or is this something he decided he was going to try to do and then kind of went, uh, maybe I don't want to do this right now. You know, um, still working, you know, that kind of stuff. I have no doubt he is a workaholic. I've heard rumors of th that sort, this is a little weird. This is just a little weird to me. And, and you know, that's kind of a thing.

And, um, oh, and the other thing I wanted to announce that I forgot to talk about, um, I bought the Arius Funko pop because it's really super cool and it's, it's done really well. He's kind of like floating up off of his like, you know, wings of light that attach to two little pieces at the bottom to the side of the character that's kind of floating and it's gorgeous and the wings are translucent so you can like hold them up to like your monitor and have

it like go through and all that. It's super cool. Um, I don't collect a lot of fun co-ops, but when I do, they are Diablo ones for the most part, . So, um, kind of excited about that. I recommend you get it if you're into this kind of stuff like I am. And we're all geeks anyway, so why not. And that's gonna be the end of this episode.
