Why Sex Work is Real Work with Mona from 'Answers'
Jan 17, 2023•47 min
Episode description
In this episode, we're talking about why and how sex work is real work – even though many people think it isn't.
Joining me for this conversation is Mona from an organization called 'Answers'.
Mona worked on the streets in the late 1970s/early 80s until the new laws came out in 1985. A short time after, most of the larger centers in Alberta, including Edmonton, created licensing for the adult entertainment field and she became a licensed escort. Much of Mona's own advocacy is spelled out in Sex Work Activism in Canada - you can find the chapter here https://www.answersociety.org/buy-the-book
