Seattle biotech firm shares revenue with Indigenous people who donate genetic info

Genetic material is deeply personal, and powerful. Now, Seattle-based Variant Bio has a plan to develop drugs for metabolic disorders, using data collected from Indigenous populations. In exchange, they’re offering financial benefits and revenue sharing.
