Hi guys, it's Daisy. I know it's been a while, but can you believe it's already May? This year seems like it's below it. I'm actually going to do a shameless plug here. One of my other shows, Eeler's Choice, is crowdfunding for season two. Eeler's Choice is a dark fantasy maritime podcast following the inhabitants of the town of Eskimo, a small coastal town whose economy has lived and died on the hunting of the great eels for generations.
As demand for product has increased, so have the catches. But even the generosity of the sea has its limits. And all debts must come. We've got tons of great rewards, and we'll be doing some promotional streams over on Twitch all through the month.
So if you're listening to this between May 1st and May 31st, and you like the kind of stuff we make here at SCP, I'd appreciate if you were willing to give the show a shot, and maybe even make a donation. Pacific is scared of eels, so none of you are allowed to tell him. I'm trusting you.
Over on the home front, we are still hard at work on season eight. We've got some great episodes on the way for you, including some pretty lengthy ones in the next few weeks. So stay tuned and bring your pop. If you want to discuss the show with other fans or talk.

It's almost time for Regarding Dracula to start this year's journey, and I, for one, cannot wait to theorize about what my friend Jonathan Harker is up to on his vacation. That's all for now. Enjoy this week's episode. Yes, yes, yes Thank you. Thank you. Secure. Retail. Retail. A 2km exclusion zone bordered by an electronic fence is to be maintained around SCP-1919.
Roads or paths leading into the zone are to be diverted or obstructed. In addition, cameras, motion detectors, and listening devices are to be placed around the perimeter, ensuring no unauthorized ingress or egress from the area. The perimeter is to be patrolled around the clock by platoons of security personnel numbering no less than 40.
Teams are to be equipped with full body armor and heavy weapons. For security reasons, expedition teams entering the exclusion zone are forbidden from carrying weapons or body armor of any kind. Furthermore, perimeter security is to use lethal force to terminate any unauthorized presence within the exclusion zone.
Under no circumstances is anyone to be allowed entry into SCP-1919 until all known manifestations of SCP-1919-1 are eliminated, or a period of one month from their previous expedition is passed. After such time, existing instances of SCP-1919-1 can be assumed to have starved to death. As of Expedition 003, all further requests for entry into the exclusion zone are to be denied.
A single physical copy of the official report concerning Expedition 003 is available to researchers currently assigned SCP-1919 and those present for the incident itself. All of the copies of the report have been destroyed. Furthermore, the video log of Expedition 003 has been expunged. SCP-1919 is an early 19th century mansion and...
which was converted into a hotel in the early 20th century and later abandoned. As of Expedition 003, the building is sunk partially into the ground on the eastern side and is still traversable, but additional safety precautions are necessary. The exterior of SCP-1919 looks much like it did when it was first built. However, the inside has deteriorated significantly since its construction.
Floorboards and ceilings are rotten or absent entirely, and much of the interior has been severely damaged from exposure to the elements and lack of maintenance. Entry into the hotel by a human being results in the appearance of several instances of SCP-1919-1. Each entity is recognizable as the subject. It includes matching clothes, equipment, and personal items.
However, instances always vary from the original in several ways. For example, the following physical variations have been observed between SCP-1919-1 and human counterparts. lack of body hair, misshapen cranial structure, patches of skin discoloration, variance in limb and or digit length, disfigurement of the mouth, sealed or missing eyelids, sealed nostrils, perforations in the skin, and elongated or deformed jaw structure.
SCP-1919-1 is at least partially responsible for the state of the building. Individuals have been recorded upending furniture, tearing out floorboards, damaging pipes, and otherwise causing small-scale destruction. Instances of SCP-1919-1 are extremely hostile to human beings that cannot be reasoned with and attack on sight without hesitation. This aggression is never directed towards each other. Rather, instances of SCP-1919-1 form coordinated groups upon encountering more of their kind.
As a whole, SCP-1919-1 exhibits a swarm intelligence akin to that invent colony. The largest observed group thus far contained 38 members and was responsible for incapacitating Task Force Tau-11, Youth Hostiles. How instances communicate is unknown, but autopsies performed on recovered corpses suggest duplicates possess an organ system that allows them to send and receive signals via pheromones.
Killing or wounding one, even noiselessly and out of sight, invariably attracts all instances within a range of approximately 40 meters. Addendum 1. Video transcript. Expedition 001. Log begins. I'm here with Captain Finn Cruz, overseeing expedition number one into SCP-1919. A single D-class agent, D-7224, has been a... male, age 39. He is equipped with a flashlight and a video recorder, which is broadcasting to me here in the lab at...
Please turn the camera on and head through the front door. OK. Alright, the camera signal is coming through just fine. Go ahead and open the door. D7224, what are you doing? The front door not opening. It's either locked or stuck. Couldn't move an inch. Let me try a window. inside. Try the side entrance or the back
D-7224 spends the next three minutes walking around to the side of the structure, scanning his surroundings with his flashlight. When he arrives at the western entrance, he pulls the handle and the door opens. D-7224 enters SCP-1919 and closes the door behind him. Are you hearing that? What's that noise? What noise? All I can hear is my own footsteps.
The beam of the flashlight lands on an assortment of dismantled and dilapidated furniture before alighting on a tattered portrait of a young red-haired woman. Much of the canvas has been shredded, including the majority of the woman's face. Shallow grooves cover the surface of the wall, crossing each other in rows of three or four. ceiling. They almost look like shit. What's wrong? What's happening? Why'd you turn your flashlight off? Did you see somebody? Something.
Slowly, D-7224 leans around the corner. At the end of the long hallway is a beam of light, bobbing erratically and switching on and off at odd intervals. What should I do? Who could that poss- It is not recommended that you approach the... it. Your current priority is now to evacuate the... Disregard that. If what you saw is a part of the... D-7224 stands up and looks down the hallway again. The flashlight has disappeared. We can't see anything. Please turn on your flashlight.
The light lands on a patch of bright orange fabric. The camera's contrast settings obscure the video. Why are you running? What are you running from? Answer me! What do you mean? D-7224 trips over something in the dark. He falls forward and drops a video camera so that it points down the hall towards his unseen follower. Footsteps approach him from behind. He turns himself over, scrambling away on his back while facing whatever is pursuing him. No! No, no, get away from me!
A beam of light illuminates D-7224 from the end of the hallway. The second one follows it. And then a third. All three shake and flicker as more footfalls approach the camera. As the light passes over him, we land upon an orange jumpsuit and a malformed hand before a face comes into view. It vaguely resembles D-7224. except for missing eyelids and fused lips set together at a bizarre angle. Leave the camera running.
After 2 hours and 26 minutes, the camera is picked up and moved to another room, where it is thrown onto the floor with force sufficient to break it. Log ends. Hi guys, it's Daisy here with your ad break. All right, back to the show. Addendum 2. Video transcript. Expedition 002. For this expedition, body cameras have been affixed to the clothing worn by all 3D class to leave their hands free. Log begins.
Protocol requires me to remind you that if you do anything out of line with our requests, you will be terminated immediately. Yeah, yeah. again. I hear you. A manifestation of SCP-1919-1 bursts through the doorway. It appears as a misshapen version of D-7224. Its right arm is approximately one and a half times its normal size and double jointed. The instance lunges into the sunlight towards D-4007. What the fuck?
D-9012 stops to stare at the corpse. SCP-1919-1's jaw hangs several inches lower than that of an average human. been a little more specific or something. Jesus. Yeah, let's split up. Great idea. Did any of you hear a high-pitched sound? All three camera feeds display parts of the hallway D-7224 investigated. The portrait from two days previous is now almost entirely missing. Pieces of the painting and the wall are scattered across the floor.
D-9012 turns to face the corridor where D-7224 fell. The body is absent. Red streets lead around a corner from where he collapsed into a darkened room. The expedition reaches the end of the hallway. To the right is a door with the word ballroom embossed on a bronze plaque. They look at each other before pulling it open. sunlight casts a lonely finger through a crack in the ceiling, illuminating a tiny triangle in the doorway.
The room has been recently gutted. Most of the floor space is unoccupied, and the ghostly shadows of several large picture frames remain on the three intact walls. The southern wall is full of massive holes, leading to a space beyond the range of the expedition's flashlight. D-9012 points at 17 video cameras, spread haphazardly across the torn up hardwood in the southeastern corner of the chamber. D-4007 remains facing the south wall as movement within it becomes apparent.
They came from the place where... Expedition. You need to get... Jesus Christ! Keep quiet! D-4007 turns and runs out of the ballroom. D-9012's camera and flashlight point at the southern wall. Instances of SCP-1919-1 begin to emerge headfirst from two of the gaps in a... The first manifestation on the left looks to be one that caught D-7224, but the leading one on the right, aside from the sizable dent in the forehead, bears a close resemblance to D-9012.
They land on their feet and begin to run with considerable speed towards the expedition members. D-9012 stands frozen. His D-3813 raises her firearm. D-3813 grabs D-9012 by the upper arm and pulls him toward the door. As he turns, D-9012's camera captures movement from more doppelgangers in the holes in the wall. D-4007 retraces his path to the western entrance. Blocking the door to the outside is a crowd of duplicates of himself and the other D-Class.
One of them, in the shape of D-9012, raises his arm, displaying a pistol identical to the ones provided by the foundation. D-4007 faces the other direction and starts to run back down the corridor.
D-4007 spins and collapses as bullets strike him in the back. His camera remains focused on the western doorway until the battery drains. There have got to be some stairs in here. The building has at least three... D-3813 and D-9012 sprint up a crumbled flight of steps to the second floor and are met with a large contingent of SCP-1919-1. B-9012 finally draws his weapon and follows D-3813 up the remaining stairs to the third story. Turn the volume down, I can't hear myself think.
I don't have a goddamn clue what you're talking about, Doc. It sounds like feedback almost, or a dentist's drill. It's deafening on this end. Not right now. Don't bother. out of here. Probably. Both subjects move deeper into the darkness of the hallway. question. You're being given a direct- D-3813 and D-9012
The camera pick up a faint white glow from beneath one of the closed doors in the corridor. 9012, respond. 3813. The door opens, and the light on the other side becomes brighter. The two cameras pick up several... frames of a female human silhouette moving quickly in their direction before cutting to static for the remainder of the camera's battery life. Concurrently, the camera attached to D-4007 picks up an unusual sound in addition to the pitch noted by Dr. Lemkowitz.
Bye. Still frames from cameras D-9012 and D-3813 pending declassification. Addendum 3. Expedition 003. While Task Force Tau-11 was wiped out during Expedition 003, they had only one short-term fatality. Analysis of the video footage suggests that this change in SCP-1919-1's behavior was deliberate. Their mutilation of Task Force Tau-11 was not self-defense, but served some other purpose.
Despite sustaining severe damage to his lower jaw, medical staff reported that Captain Finn Cruz repeated the phrase, intermittently before falling unconscious and dying en route to Foundation treatment facilities. The rest of the task force succumbed to their injuries within a week. After analyzing footage from Expedition 003, The Foundation has come to the conclusion that an unknown entity located inside SCP-1919 is responsible for the creation of all observed instances of SCP-1919-1.
The new primary objective of all efforts concerning SCP-1919 is the identification, retrieval, and containment of said being. Video transcript Expedition Log 003 Data expunged.
