Time. We all wish we had more of it, don't we? And there never seems like there's enough to go around. Well, today we're going to chat about my top three suggestions for saving time when it comes to marketing your teacher business on social media. So teacher authors, go ahead and reheat that cup of coffee, because I'm your host, Cassandra Foster, and we're about to get schooled in socials. Welcome back to school and socials. Today, we are tackling the number one pain point I hear about using social media for marketing. It takes so much time. Now if you feel that way, too, you aren't wrong. Social media content creation can take up a lot of time. But with a few timesavers, you can drastically cut down on the time it takes you to create your content to market your resources. So I'm sharing the timesavers that I as a social media manager suggest everyone take advantage of if you listened to Episode 18 all about templates, you know what a game changer they can be for your social media content creation. So that is exactly why they are my number one recommendation for timesavers when it comes to creating your content. When I say templates, I'm sure the first thing that comes to your mind are graphics. But templates to save your time with social media go way beyond that. Here's a quick list of templates I recommend having as a social media manager, graphics templates, just like I mentioned. So you don't have to start your graphics from square one every month. A content organization template in a program like Asana or air table that you can easily copy from month to month to how's your content and materials you need for content creation. Hashtag templates, so you can just copy a set pasted into your caption and move on. And finally, caption outlines. So again, you're not starting from square one with every caption you have to write. In fact, I've created a whole year's worth of caption templates for teacher authors that you can find in my TPT store, if you're struggling to picture what they might look like for you. And again, if you want to learn more about using templates for your social media, make sure to go back and listen to the templates episode, which is episode 18. Okay, the second thing on my list that will help you save time are schedulers. Manually posting can take up a lot of your time, you have to download your post your device, copy or caption, open the social media app and load everything in. Plus, we're more likely to forget to make a post if we're trying to find that time each and every day to do so. schedulers, however, offer the opportunity to bulk schedule our posts, so we can avoid that in and out download copy paste dance each day. And the best part is using a scheduler approved by Mehta, which most of them are has shown no negative effects on post performance such as reach or engagement. So really, unless you truly want to, there's no need to post manually. Now there are a lot of scheduler options out there. And we're going to dive into those more in depth in an upcoming episode this month, but I'll give you a quick rundown of some of your options. Instagram has released scheduling within their app, but it is not yet available for all accounts at the time of this recording. Meta Businessweek can be used to schedule to Instagram and Facebook for free. And some paid options include later, which happens to be my favorite scheduler tailwind and HootSuite. There is so much pressure this time of the year to buy more stuff from Black Friday sales to Christmas ads. But I don't want you to buy more stuff. I want you to get the right things you need to uplevel your business in this season. So that's why I've opened up my mini social media consults schedule for the next three months, so that we can make resources that are going to get stuck in your downloads and courses that are going to go immediately to your desktop graveyard, a thing of the past. Instead, you're going to get my brain and your business for a focus 30 minutes so that you can make sure you have a solid plan moving forward. And you know what your social media will help you reach your business goals. This is not a one size fits all solution. Instead you're going to get targeted advice that is focused on you and your business and for Black Friday. And until these spots sell out. You're going to be able to get it for $47 which is the lowest price point these mini consults have ever been. We're talking transformational advice that will make your social media work harder for you For less than a night out, this isn't stuff. It's the thing you need to get clarity and move forward with your social media marketing, you can grab your discounted spot right now in the show notes. But hurry, because once these spots that I've opened up for the next few months are gone, this price point will be gone too. I can't wait to make 2020 for the year that your social media marketing helps you reach all of your big business goals. The final timesaver I have for you actually includes adding time to your calendar, which at first seems a little counterintuitive, but stick with me. Adding specific social media time to your schedule will help you save time in the long run. By including a specified time block into your schedule, where you will focus on social media such as answering comments and DMS. Posting to stories engaging with other accounts will keep you from randomly opening your app throughout the day or popping in every time you hear that notification thing. Because we all know that popping in to answer one comment can quickly become 30 minutes of a scroll fast in the blink of an eye. So truly to protect your time, add social media tasks to your calendar, and be specific about what you will do. Post a story, answer comments, engage, etc. And set a time for that task. 1015 20 minutes, whatever you think you're going to need protip actually set a timer for that amount of time when you go into the app. That way you can keep yourself on track and not end up down the rabbit hole. All those little times on social media here and there along with the occasional jump down that Affer mentioned rabbit hole can really eat up your time. So make sure social media is on your schedule if you truly want to save and make the most of your time. So there you have it, my top three timesavers when it comes to social media content, using templates to cut down on your content creation time, schedulers to cut out the time of manually posting and a specified social media schedule to avoid all of those little and not so little time sucks in your day. Now, I'm all for saving you time. But if you haven't implemented any of these time savers, I caution you into jumping into them all at once. Start with one time saver, set it up and make using it a habit taking on too much at once. Even when it comes to time savers can lead to disaster. So master one and then add another. So which time saver Are you going to start with? Pop over to Instagram and send me a DM to let me know. All right, cool coffee friends. Thanks so much for listening. If you're loving getting schooled in socials, make sure to subscribe so you don't miss an episode. Also, I would love it if you left a review so that other teacher authors like you can start getting schooled in socials too. All right, I'll see you in the next episode.
