Self-centeredness is defined as “a single-minded focus on one’s self and one’s own needs, desires, preferences, and problems.” It’s interesting that this is posed as a bad thing, isn’t it?

 

You don’t have to center yourself if you don’t want to, but it’s worth considering how we’re discouraged from doing so. Reclaiming self-centeredness is about making sure your needs, desires, preferences, and problems are taken care of so you can care for others, and I’m exploring how to start today.
