Episode description

“I don’t think we should value the lives of people who care for the elderly at minimum wage.”

Care workers have been the topic of conversation for several years, amplified by their exemplary work through the pandemic and thereafter. But there’s a key problem in the UK. While the care workers take care of us, who takes care of them?

In this episode I’m joined by Karolina Gerlich, CEO of the Care Workers Charity. Karolina spends her time supporting these essential staff taking care of our older generations, from grants to help financially to mental health incentives.
