Dr. Arthur Aron is a Research Professor of Psychology at the State University of New York at Stony Brook and currently a Visiting Professor at UC Berkeley.  He received his B.A. and M.A., UC Berkeley and his Ph.D. Social Psychology from the University of Toronto. His research centers on the self-expansion model of motivation cognition in personal relationships, including the neural underpinnings and real-world applications of the model to marriage, family, and intergroup relations.
