Solstice Stillness: A Reiki Meditation for Aligning with Cosmic Energies

Whether you're moving into summer in the northern hemisphere or the quieter, more introspective winter or fall in the southern hemisphere, it's really a time to go internal. Normally I do these podcasts with the horses from the farm, but today I really wanted to bring in the energy of the Bay, so I'm coming to you from Campo.

Speaking of Campobello, I'd just like to let everybody know that there is still space in the level one and two and master classes, Reiki classes that I'm teaching in Campobello in July. There's also space in the animal Reiki one and two and master cap class in July and moving in the end of July and moving into August and in fact, the master class. Is going to be in an Australian or Asian friendly time zone, which means it's also very friendly for us in North America.

It's over four evenings instead of three full days. And so if you'd like to join us, you can join us in person or online for any of those. I also have a level one and two in masterclass coming up in normal time zones in the Atlantic time zone, both online and in person in September and in October. So I just wanted to talk to you a little bit as we approach the solstice to let you know how profound this time of year is. It's a moment of profound significance, both for the northern and some southern hemispheres.

And today I want us to immerse ourselves in the magic of it in the northern hemisphere. This marks the peak of summer, a time of abundant daylight, and vibrant energy. And in the southern hemisphere, it heralds the arrival of winter, a time of introspection and quietude. Energetically though the solstice, no matter which hemisphere you're in, acts as a portal ushering in shifts and transformations. That can be profound in our lives.

It's a pivotal point in the Earth's journey around the sun during this time. Everything is still just for a moment, and that's when we experience the longest day or night of the year, depending. On your hemisphere, but this shift in daylight brings about a potent energetic change that influences us on many levels throughout our energy, throughout our bodies.

The extended daylight or darkness in the summer of the Southern Hemisphere creates an energetic container that supports deep introspection and a connection to our inner selves. Energetically, the solstice has always invited us to align with the natural rhythms of the earth and the cosmos. It encourages us to pause, recalibrate, realign with our intentions and our goals. And the energy of the soltice can also act as a catalyst, meaning.

That we can release what no longer serves us and embrace new beginnings. So I'd like you to think for a moment of what energies you might be willing to release in our meditation today. What energies, or conditions, or life circumstance no longer serves you? You might have a surge of vitality and inspiration as you think of this, or during this time, you might also find yourselves more receptive to intuitive insight and guidance because this is a time when we're more sensitive.

It's a time we can tap into that inner wisdom that we all have. This offers us an opportunity to. Balance ourselves energetically, and as the earth experiences a shift in its axial tilt, we also can find equilibrium in ourselves. This is a time to honor the light and the dark within us acknowledging the interplay of masculine and feminine energies. This energetic equilibrium supports our overall wellbeing and fosters a harmonious connection with the world around us.

And as we connect into the energetic frequencies of the solstice, you might notice that you have. A stronger sense of purpose, renewed purpose, even more clarity, deeper connection to your inner power. As I mentioned, it's not only a time for reflection, this is also a time for gratitude, setting intentions, and stepping into the next phase of our journey. The solstice is really rooted in ancient Celtic tradition. It holds a deep historical and cultural significance for the Kes.

They celebrated the summer solstice as a time of great power, honoring the son's strength and the bountiful blessings of the land, and it was a time. Where they would gather together in community, they would have bonfires and rituals, expressing gratitude for the abundant harvest and invoking blessings for the coming months. They revered the sun as symbol of vitality, fertility, and life-giving energy, and they celebrated the solstice with joyous.

Festivities, communal gatherings and sacred rituals that honored the son's abundance and power. One of the most notable Celtic celebrations during Solstice was the Festival of Lifa, which occurred over several days around the solstice. Litho was a time of gratitude for the bountiful harvest and a time to seek blessings for becoming months Bonfires were lit and these symbolized the transformative power of the sun, and they served as a beacon of life and protection against any malevolent forces.

In addition to celebrating together in community, the solstice held personal significance for people in the Celtic communities. It was believed at this time that the veil between the human and spirit worlds is particularly thin, allowing for enhanced communication with ancestors and spiritual beings. People sought guidance and performed divination rituals and offered prayers to honor their ancestors and connect with the divine realms.

It was a time for the Celts to harmonize with the rhythms of nature to express gratitude for the abundance that exists on the earth and celebrate that interplay between the physical and spiritual realms. It embodied their deep reverence for the natural world and their interconnectedness with all living beings. And as we honor the solstice today, we can draw inspiration from our Celtic ancestors, embracing the spirit of gratitude, celebration, and connecting with the natural world.

We can pay homage to the wisdom of the past and infuse our modern celebrations with some of the ancient traditions that remind us of our deep connection to the cycles of the earth and the sacred energies that surround us. Our June solstice also coincided this year with Father's Day in many countries, and that adds another layer of meaning to what we're doing, the celebrations as we honor the paternal figures in our lives and reflect on the roles of strength, guidance, and protection that fathers and father figures have provide. Provided since the beginning of time, it helps us align with the symbolism of the son's masculine power and that nurturing warmth that's there.

And beyond the cultural and historic aspects, our solstice also lines up with cosmic events that are heightening the celestial spectacle. This year. This year, the Solstice is accompanied by a solar eclipse, a celestial dance that amplifies the energetic shifts and spiritual potential of this powerful time that we're living in on the earth. Right now, right here, spiritually, a solar eclipse symbolizes a potent union of masculine and feminine energies.

The sun represents the masculine energy and vitality, strength and consciousness while the moon, which. Blocks. It embodies the feminine energy and that symbolizes intuition, emotions, and the subconscious. And when these two celestial bodies align during an eclipse, a solar eclipse, there's this harmonizing and balancing of the polarities within ourselves and within the collective consciousness. Energetically, a solar eclipse is a catalyst for transformation and renewal.

It holds the potential to create a powerful shift in our personal and collective energies, opening a gateway for spiritual growth and deep inner work all on its own. And when we combine it with the solstice, it's particularly powerful. The temporary darkness that envelops the sun during astrological eclipses marks the moment of accelerated change and transformation where any old patterns and structures that are holding us back can crumble. It makes way for new beginnings and possibilities.

It serves as a powerful cosmic portal for personal and collective evolution. So as we shift ourselves, we'll notice the collective shifting along with us eclipses like solstice is, are time for deep introspection, inner healing, and aligning with higher frequencies of light and wisdom. The eclipse gives us an opportunity to connect with our inner wisdom release that no longer serves us and embrace these transformative energies that are available to us.

It's believed also during this celestial alignment that the veil between the physical and spiritual realms becomes thinner, giving us an opportunity for deep insights, spiritual downloads, and connection with higher realms of consciousness. So as the two events are happening together, that brings an incredible thinning of the veil.

This time astrologically, the soltice of 2023 falls under the Zodiac sign of cancer, which is associated with nurturing the emotional depth and the sacred feminine energy. So this solstice, Encourages us to connect with our intuition, our emotions, and our ancestral roots. It's a perfect time to go within, heal and embrace our personal and collective roots and foundations.

And as the sun moves into cancer, This is a signal of the beginning of a new season, a shift toward nurturing energy, introspective energy. It invites us to tap into our emotional depths and connect with our inner selves for emotional healing and renewing. So go ahead and make yourselves comfortable. Close your eyes and take some deep breaths. Connect with your breath as you take a moment. Enter a state of deep relaxation, placing your hands comfortably on your body, inhaling deeply, and exhaling slowly. And as you connect with your breath, just feel the tension melting away from your body with each breath. As you breathe, notice the light of Reiki surrounding you, enveloping you in its loving.

Embrace and imagine that you are standing in the center of a ring of 13 ancient standing stones in a beautiful meadow under the gentle rays of the sun. Feeling the warmth of the sun's energies, infusing your being and rejuvenating your spirit. Take a moment to soak in the vibrant energy of this celestial alignment. And as you stand in this ring of standing stones, become aware of the cosmic energy surrounding you.

Feel the presence of the celestial bodies, the sun, the moon, and the stars as they align in perfect harmony. Allow their radiant energies to wash over you, enveloping you in their gentle and embrace. Now invite the healing energy of Reiki to flow through you. Imagine a soft, warm light descending upon you from above the highest heavens and from below the divine earth. Feel this divine energy flowing through the crown of your head and the bottoms of your feet.

And spread throughout your body, gently expanding into your aura. With each breath, allow this healing energy to cleanse and balance your entire being. Feel it dissolving any blocks, any barriers, any limiting patterns, any tensions. Discomfort, pain mentally, physically, spiritually, and emotionally and energetically, and feel the Reiki energy bringing you into a state of harmonious alignment with the cosmic energies of the solstice, and will remain here for a few moments.

As you continue to bask in this healing energy, I invite you to set your intentions for this solstice season. Reflect on the changes that you wish to manifest in your life, the healing you're seeking, and the alignment with your highest purpose. Imagine these intentions are seeds being planted within the fertile soil of your being ready to bloom and flourish with the season. Allow the Reiki energy to infuse your intentions with its loving and transformative power.

Now, feel the energy of the soltice amplifying your intentions, supporting their manifestation, and guiding you on your path of growth and alignment. Take these moments to bask in the stillness, allowing the cosmic energies and Reiki to work their magic within. You. Feel the deep sense of connection to the universe and the profound harmony that surrounds you. As you allow your intentions to take root today, will remain here for some time. Present moment. Notice the feeling of the ground beneath your feet and the sensations in your body and the peace in your heart.
