Episode description
It's our first hundred-year-old franchise! And the Crew is ready to do justice to the legend. Zorro is one of the most adapted properties in the history of Hollywood, played by the likes of Douglas Fairbanks, Tyrone Power, and Guy Williams. He's the grandfather of the modern superhero and the inspiration for some of the greatest stories ever told! Too much? Too bad. Let's double down. The character's most recent cinematic kickoff, the Mask of Zorro starring Antonio Banderas, Anthony Hopkins, and Catherine Zeta-Jones, is arguably the best reboot Hollywood has ever made. And despite its first film being released in 1920, the franchise has never been more relevant than it is right now. A proletarian Latinx superhero for a dysfunctional gilded age, Zorro is woke, multi-cultural, and cool as hell. And, believe it or not, there's so much story left to tell. We're about the reboot the crap out of the Curse of Capistrano. BILLY BUSINESS: https://www.twitter.com/billyapatterson
