1917 is Sam Mendes' latest, a WW1 drama like no other, the story of two infantry men charged with a very dangerous mission: delivering a command to cancel an attack across enemy lines before thousands of men fall into a German trap. Oh, and it's all shot as if it's "one take". Yep. Explaining all is Taika Waititi, the writer-director-star of the show, as well as its two younger leads, Thomasin McKenzie and Roman Griffin Davis.
