In this episode we talk to Jack, an assistant head teacher in a Buckinghamshire secondary school. Jack has been teaching for over a decade, and now as someone responsible for the attendance in the secondary school he works at, he’s seen how Emotionally Based School Avoidance has impacted students, as well as staff.

Emotionally Based School Avoidance or EBSA is a term used in reference students who have difficulty in attending school due to emotional factors, sometimes resulting in prolonged absences from school.​
