Episode description

William Whitehead shares his painful story of growing up with an absentee father. Although he knew his father, he didn't see him regularly nor did they have a relationship due to the fact that the father had another family in the same city. He shares how painful and lonely life was for him even though he lived with his mother and was supported by his grandmother and aunts. As an adult, and the fact that his father has been deceased for many years, William is still suffering his father's absence in his life. He shares how much better his childhood and adulthood could be had his father played a role in his life. He encourages all fathers to play an active role in their children's lives because of the negative impact it has otherwise.
