Episode description

Welcome back to Day 3 of the Where Do I Begin? mini-series.  Have you ever felt caught in the whirlwind of daily stress, seeking a magical pause button? Well, you're about to discover the charm of the 'feel-good list' and the transformational power of positive 'what-if' questions. On today's episode of Pure Possibilities, we're embarking on the next step of our 'When Do I Begin?' series, diving into personal strategies that can interrupt the negative patterns we all find ourselves trapped in from time to time. I'll guide you through the soul-soothing practices that have anchored me amidst life’s storms, and we'll explore how simple joys and mindful moments can radically uplift your day.

Reflecting on the loving memory of my cat, whose comforting presence was a natural stress reliever, I illustrate how the smallest beings and actions can make a vast difference. And when it comes to rewriting the script of your thoughts, I recount my inspirational encounter with energy intuitive Marie Manuchehri http://www.energyintuitive.com, who introduced me to the concept of positive 'what-if' questions. Learn how setting these as daily alarms can not only serve as gentle pattern interrupts but also infuse your day with unexpected happiness and awareness. Join us for a heartfelt and practical session that promises to sprinkle your routine with surprise and delight, all while honoring the legacy of a special feline friend.

Speaker 1

Welcome back to the Pure Possibilities podcast . I'm so excited that you're joining me and I hope you're enjoying the mini series called when Do I Begin ?

Because I think it's just so important that we do what we can to take care of ourselves and make ourselves a focus , because , as I always say , if we're not taking care of ourselves , we just aren't able to show up for ourselves or for the people that matter in our lives . All right , let's get on to day three .

So I hope you had a good time at making your feel-good list and I hope you didn't overthink it . Keep it simple and keep it fun . We want it to be fun . These are things that you're going to do throughout your day . When something comes up and you just need to like we often call it a pattern interrupt , like you're just going to interrupt your day .

Interrupt the moment , not necessarily the whole day , but like the moment . Like if you're in the heat of something and you just need to like stop , maybe your kids are fighting and you just need to stop and take a moment and breathe .

Or you're on a phone conversation with somebody at work and they're not being nice and remember usually what's going on with other people has nothing to do with you .

So maybe you just need to take a minute and breathe , or put on some music and dance in your chair or whatever it might be , but these are just things to stop you from going down a spiral and just interrupt whatever's going on .

Before I had to have my cap put down a few weeks ago , throughout this whole year , I was on a pretty massive growth journey this last year and when I was doing my energy healing course , it was so funny we'd be on a Zoom call and he would come in and he would just start like crying and he was really really loud .

And I was on a call with one of my friends and she's like he senses your energy and he's wanting you to know that you're safe and that it's okay .

And I would pick him up and I would pet him and he would calm down and it was like he was there for me to let me know that I was safe and it was okay and even though I was working through some pretty deep , deep things that it was okay and I was okay .

And so I've been thinking about him a lot because I just had him put down a couple weeks ago actually , because he was really , really sick . But animals can be pattern interrupts and the other thing that can be a pattern interrupt is what I'm going to talk about today . So a few years ago I was taking a class .

I believe I was either taking the class or I was listening to a radio show with an energy intuitive , marie Manu Cherry . She's amazing . She often talks about positive what-if questions . I loved it because sometimes we'll talk about what-if questions as in the negative , but I started utilizing these .

She would recommend that you ask the what-if question and you put it out there and you can repeat the same one over and over again , but then you just don't think about it , you just say it and put it out there . For example , what if I allow the universe to surprise and delight me ? That's one I use every single day .

It's kind of fun because it allows you the opportunity to like ooh , I was surprised and delighted by this or that or whatever , those just small moments through your day . I then took it a little bit farther and I programmed them into my phone . I have them going off throughout my day . My very first alarm of the day .

It's not a positive but-if question and just says good morning beautiful , have an amazing day . It just makes me feel good . It makes me feel good it has little hearts . I put the little heart emojis on it .

I personally have them go off every hour throughout my day and it allows me to either interrupt If there's something going on that I just need , like that pattern , interrupt . It helps with that , but then it also just creates a pause .

We're going to talk about creating a pause in your day to just either center yourself Some people use it to breathe and center , some people check in with their energy and see how they're doing . There's different things you can do . I just take a moment and I read it and I just take in whatever the message is .

I'm going to list a couple of the positive what-if questions and actually just the various alarms that I have programmed on my phone . Like I said , I use emojis because those bring me joy . It makes me happy when I'm doing it . It's kind of fun because when you do something like this , the people around you start to tune in .

When I first started doing it , people around me at work would be like oh , what does it say for this time or what does it say for that time ? It can be fun . Here's a couple of them that I have programmed in my phone . I am strong , beautiful and resilient . What if fear is an illusion ? I am letting go of that which no longer serves me ?

What if I'm passionately drawn to all that is in my highest good ? What if letting go is fun ? What if I have abundance in all areas of my life ? What if I'm in a romantic , passionate , fulfilling relationship that sets my soul on fire ? It's one of my favorites . I love flames and hard emojis . What if my immune system is truly powerful ?

I am present in this moment . How sexy and fierce do I want to be ? Actually , it says how sexy and fierce do you want to be ? And then I end it with what is one thing that I want to remember about today .

It used to say what is one amazing thing that happened today , and then I changed it to what is one thing I want to remember about today , and that's my final alarm of the day , and so I have different ones programmed and sometimes I have them on and sometimes I turn them off , but I just kind of go through and they're really amazing and they really just get

me to stop and thank for just a moment and just be present , really be present in the moment , so when you're . If you choose to do that , you can program your phone . I have an iPhone and you can put names . I just put those in the name section and then I just have them repeat every day .

It worked really well too when I started my health journey , because I eat every two and a half to three hours and so I had those programmed as my alarms to remind me to eat , and so it can work for so many different things in your life . So that is today's ask Should you want to take that on ? Give it a try . It's kind of fun .

I've had a lot of really positive feedback from people that have tried it , and it's amazing when you actually do it and then you see it , and especially if you put the fun emojis on it , when you wake up and you see , good morning , beautiful , have an amazing day , or hey , handsome , have an amazing day . It just kind of makes you feel good .

So , anyway , I hope you found that helpful and I'm so excited to be back tomorrow for day four . So I hope you have a beautiful , beautiful day , much love .
