We've been lied to. We were taught that in order to love our people and community we must stay connected by way of our pain points. The more traumatic the better.
Trauma is deeply embedded in our DNA and no matter how much you try to move beyond it, it's always the people who claim to love you who are there to remind you that you must not forget.
I wonder what would happen if we decided to forget traumatic memories and create new visions of a powerful and fearless future.
