21: Rohan Singh | Break The Divide
Episode description
On his 5th birthday, Rohan Singh's father in tandem with his religion, Sikhism, planted a seed that transformed his life forever. On previous birthdays, Rohan was showered with gifts and love. This year, they arrived at a shelter for the poor and destitute. That day he witnessed the suffering of a young boy who was strapped to a chair, clothes soiled, body injured and hungry, without a fraction of the privilege his family was fortunate enough to experience.
Shocked by the injustice and inspired by seva, meaning selfless service, a key principle of Sikhism, Rohan stepped into the possibility of inspired action in service of others.
Today at 25, Rohan is an internationally recognized humanitarian, public health advocate, and environmental advocate who believes in the recipe of intercultural dialogue in order to promote peace in the world. He’s a TEDx Speaker, Co-Founder alongside his equally handsome brother, Abhayjeet, for Break The Divide, and now medical school student living his truest passion.
And can’t wait to witness and support you as you continue to make a dent on this world.
