#70: Growing from $100k to $500k

If you've been in business for more than a year, it's pretty obvious that there are different stages you and your product go through.   First there's the time of deciding to really jump in and start it. Next, you're about making the product and getting those first few sales. It's such a milestone! You are officially what can be called "in revenue"! Yay!    This stage is also what happens when your Kickstarter or other crowdfunding campaign works.   Next, you move past the first relatively few sales and get up around $100k in sales.  Life seems infinitely more fun.    Then as you approach $500k (half a million dollars!) you're really hitting your stride. There are still problems, yes. But they are different problems.... Good problems.   That's right. There are "good problems".   I remember what this time was like. That gap between where you are going and where you are. It felt like the things to do outweighed the time and resources to get them done.    It was in that gap years ago that I made a mistake that cost me an extra $10,000.
