Morning Friends, Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, males and females only, ruminators, near and far. Welcome Monday on the Morning Show with Preston Scott. I am Preston. He is Jose wearing the best ugly sweater I might have ever seen in my life. Be posting that on the Twitter page shortly sorry X sorry twigs anyway, Welcome It Show fifty two eighty eight, My Friends, thirty five days, thirty
five days, just thirty five days. The doddering old man, It's gonna just wander off, Hey, Jilly, can I gets my ice creaming? Oh? Shut up? Oh shut up? Yeah, and been walking around with your underwear outside your pants? We'd be re elected. Hey. Good to be with you, though. Hope you had a nice weekend. Let's start with some scripture Isaiah seven fourteen. Therefore, the Lord himself will give you a sign. Just let me just I want you to think about this for just a second, because inevitably
you have to come to grips with this. Centuries before the event happened, God's prophets were telling you it was going to Isaiah writes, Therefore, the Lord will give you a sign. Behold in other words, take a look, hey, use peoples, the virgin shall conceive embarrassed son and shall call his name Emmanuel. God with us. When it's all said and done, you are confronted with this simple reality that a young girl said, I have never been with a man. I have a child, understanding that in that
culture you're stoned to death. It's just one of the many things you have to get your brain around and decide what you're going to do with it. And the man she plays your life too, had to do the same thing, and both were visited by angels of God saying it's okay, all is well, Everything's going to be fine. Trust friends, that's the message for you today. Ten past the hour I'm having. I started fighting off a cold the end of last week, and I've been very successful
at doing so, thank you God. But I do my throat coat tea, which is the broadcaster singers go to if you do voice work or if you're just if you're if, I mean, if you're just, your throat hurts from you know, fighting off the crud. And my throat's not bad, it's it's fine, but to kind of protect my voice because I'm done Wednesday and I mean when I'm done. I'm saying, when I leave here Wednesday, I'm done.
I will not be back until after January. When I say that, I have a lot to do between now and then, and my voice is going to be challenged. I know that. So I have my throat coat t in advance of the emails. Traditional medicinals. Organic throat coat supports throat health, immune function, lemon echinasia. So I add some honey to it, because honey is very good for the for the throat, it's very It helps the taste because it's it tastes like But I mean, it's just awful.
It's just at least to me. I mean, you look at the ingredients in this stuff. It's it's organic echinationia of course, root licorice, root, marshmallow leaf, marshmallow root, fennel fruit, orange peel, cinnamon, bark, lemon peel, lemon, myrtle leaf. There you go. I mean, this is as organic as it gets. And it's a it's a it's a it's an industry secret that I have made sure that you are aware of. But that said, so I made myself a large glass of tea, hot tea, and in between I'll gargle a
little bit with it. I don't spit it out. And and here's the problem. We now have one of those currigs. We used to have the old school coffee maker where you had the hot water tap on on hand, and so if you just needed hot water for tea or to make some oatmeal or something, boom hit the spicket and out it came. It was ready instantaneous. Well, now I get hot water, you got to run it through that currig. And look, I get it. Currigs aren't incredible. If you drink coffee and you just want a cup
of coffee, I get it. And if you want to think of hot chocolate, my advice always go twelve ounces. Don't go eight. It's a waste. Six it's a waste. Twelve's fine. It's fine. Oh but it's watered down. No, it's not. It's fine anyway. So the water coming out though, is like you get coffee grounds. Well, why don't you use one of those reusable filters. Yeah, go ahead, try that. Let me know how it works out for you. I've done that. It still comes out with coffee grounds. So
I put a giant coffee filter in my cup. That I'm putting the coffee the water, the hot water in to get and it's strained everything out, but the water still tastes like whatever coffee was in there last. And it's gross. It stinks. I can't stand it. It's made something that tastes bad, taste worse. Anyway. I'm not a coffee person, never have been, never will be. It's not a thing. Oh just try it. No, I'm not gonna just try it. I'm six four freaking years old. I'm
not just trying it. Okay. Oh well, what if I missed though my sixty four years of life. Nothing, that's what I missed. Nothing. I don't need coffee. For those of you that love it, I'm happy for you. And I know that there's some things that some people that believe the little caffeine does good for you. That's great, awesome, happy, wonderful. It's it's to me. It's like cats and kittens. I'm not going to be mean to them, but they're not
my thing. Just not down with them. Okay, if you love them, awesome, happy for you, don't hate on me. It's like if you like shrimp. I love shrimp. You love shrimp. Some of you hate shrimp. It's okay, it's all right, it's just fine. But man, anyway, it's just I can't put enough honey in this thing to make it overcome that coffee. And I strained the grounds out, but the water I knew the water coming out was colored. And it doesn't matter how clean the coffee maker is,
because it's run so much coffee through those curerigs. You can't just get clean water. So I haven't figured out the solution because I'm impatient. I don't want to wait for the microwave. I just don't. I don't want to wait for microwave water. But that's probably what I'm gonna have to do, is I can just get a little hot water out of the spickett and then I have
to nuke it. Talk about first world problems, Yeah, no, not really, all right quickly December sixteenth Bill of Wrights ratified seventeen ninety one, eighteen sixty four Union Forces route the Confederate Army of Tennessee, Two Day Battle of Nashville, Gone with the Wind premieres, excuse me in Atlanta, there goes the money Maker in nineteen thirty nine, nineteen forty four, Oh crap, this was December fifteenth. Then I'm reading it's
the sixteenth. Well, yes, yesterday. In nineteen forty four, Glenn Miller plane carrying Glenn Miller disappeared over the English Channel. Did you know? That's how Glenn Miller, the band leader, died in World War Two. His plane went down in the drink and he was never found. So there you go. Okay, I messed this all up. So when we come back, I'll do today's Styateton History eighteen passed the arm very very sorry that I'm so late, and I'm professional, twenty
three minutes past the hour. All right, Take two the State and History only this date, the sixteenth of December. I don't know. My paper clip was covering it up, and I was stupid enough to not look over at the other page. Anyway, all right, here we go. Now let's give this a little panache since I ruined the last one. Think of the time of year. We're in Okay, and instead of being here for most of us in Florida, South Georgia, Alabama, the southeastwards a little bit more temperate,
you're in the northeast. Think of the likely weather in the middle of December in say, Boston. A cold, damp.
Night of December sixteenth, seventeen seventy three, a few dozen colonists, wearing old clothing and blackened faces, tramped through the streets of Boston toward three ships tied up at Griffin's Wharf. The Mohawks, as they called themselves, clambered aboard the Dartmouth, the Eleanor, and the Beaver, and began hoisting chests of tea from the vessel holds onto the decks. Working quietly and efficiently, they carried the chests to the rails, split
them open, and dumped the tea into Boston Harbor. The late night raid came in response to the Tea Act passed by the British Parliament. The law gave the financially troubled East India Company, a British company, a virtual monopoly on the American tea trade. The Americans were already unhappy that Britain had placed a tax on their tea. Now, they told themselves, Parliament was dictating where they must buy
their tea. That would not do, they told themselves, Parliament was dictating where they must buy tea, And in the colonist's i's tea became a symbol of British oppression. So into the heart barbor went three hundred and.
Forty two chests.
In less than three hours, the Boston tea party was over. Their work done, the Indians swept the ship's decks, bid the crew's farewell, and marched into the night, whistling Yankee doodle. Well, boys, you've had a fine, pleasant evening for your Indian caper, haven't you. A British admiral who had watched the entire episode called, but mind you, you've got to pay the fiddler. Yet indeed, Boston would be made to pay. George the Third was outraged at the act of defiance. We must
master them or totally leave them alone, he declared. Parliament responded with the Intolerable Acts, which, among other measures, closed the port of Boston and required colonists give lodging to British troops. Infuriated Patriots viewed the reprisals as outright tyranny and turned their thoughts towards independent didn'ts no, that was cool, but just think about the time of year and what it must have felt like. I've been to the to that to that location. I've been there, I've seen a
reenactment of the Tea Party. I've been on that dock. I've been on you know. I think it was affect similar the ship, but I could be mistaken on that anyway. Also seventeen sorry, eighteen eleven the first of the New Madrid Earthquakes series of violent earthquakes centered in Missouri. In Missouri Earthquakes in Missouri takes place in eighteen eleven. Eighteen thirty five five. Could you imagine if those kinds of earthquakes hit now? It's still a fault line Missouri heartland.
People wouldn't expect it. Fire roars through New York City, destroying approximately six hundre buildings eighteen thirty five. Nineteen forty four, German forces launched a surprise attack in Belgium, beginning the Battle of the Bulge, Hitler's last major offensive of the Western Front. And in nineteen seventy two, the Miami Dolphins become the first NFL team to go unbeaten and untied when they defeat the Redskins and Super Bowl seven.
I think I think I need to check. I think my dad did that game for CBS, but I need to check. Twenty eight past the Hour, Big Stories in the press box are next. I'm gonna do my best. How about if I put it this way, I am gonna do my best to avoid any really depressing stuff. It's I mean, we're almost a week away from Christmas, and I just right, I just don't. We just need a break now. The news is the news, and we've got to cover the things that are news worthy. So
I get that, and so that we will do. But I'm hoping, I'm just I'm hoping for the best when it comes to the content. Now, we do have some great stuff on the blog page and more coming all the time, Christmas related, just new content that will keep you occupied over the break and of course beginning Thursday, This Thursday, the Twelve Days of Preston begin. Can't wait, cannot wait, and do not miss Friday, January third, the twelfth day. I'm just telling you, don't miss it. Do
not miss it. You'll regret it. Raising funds for Humble House Ministries. A lot of you got some money dropped in your account yesterday. Shameful for you to mention that. No, not really. If you can pry ten bucks free, that would be awesome. Whatever you can do to help Humble House ministries would be really, really welcome. This is bonus help for them. They didn't count on this at all. This was a totally out of left field kind of thing,
a blessing for them. So if a thousand people gave ten bucks to Tallahassee and ten bucks to Panama City, could you imagine the difference that would make for some of you. You could give ten thousand dollars yourself. You could. Your business is just you're killing it. So I'm just saying, if you can, if you can help, that would be wonderful. The big stories in the press box. Go to humble Houseministries dot org and click to give in Mark Wfla
in either the dedication or the comments. Okay, the drone thing's not getting any better, it's spreading. I don't believe the government. I don't believe them. I don't believe that they don't know. They're out there saying that there's a slight overreaction in the public. Oh you think, well, why would that be? Because we don't trust you, Because you allowed a Chinese balloon filled with surveillance stuff to fly
over the entire country, over very sensitive military bases. We don't know if these things aren't necessarily What if they're being piloted by Chinese nationals Iranian nationals and they're plotting out an attack. They're just doing surveillance right now. They're not breaking any laws. How do you know? Did you did you not read the pages of history about Pearl Harbor?
How they had people posing as tourists, the Japanese and they were snapping photos of all the ships that were not out at sea but were gathered together at Pearl Arbor. And then they gathered them even more together for safety purposes make it easier to guard them. How'd that work out? This is a big story. Second big story, ABC News. George Stephanopolos agree to pay fifteen million dollars to charity. By the way, what does that say to you about Trump?
He doesn't want the money, pay a charity of my choice or someone's choice. I don't know who's picking the charity. But they have to do a fifteen million dollar donation, and they have to pay his attorney's fees for defaming him. George Stephanopolis lied and he's been called to account and they've settled. They have to issue an apology. On TV too forty one past the hour those are the big stories today on the Morning Show with President Scott got a new blog going up in just a few minutes.
Andrew Cotter know all of just Mabel gave all of the day off and it's Mabel's Birthday Mountains and it's a fifteen minute walk through the Scottish Hills covered in snow and it's incredible. It's just cool watching nothing earth shattering, laid back, just a lot of fun and so one very good dog. And if you don't know the story
of Olive and Mabel, it's legendary. It's just legendary. And I will post where it all began and you can track it from there on the blog page at WFLA FM dot com slash preston or WFLA Panama City dot com slash preston. A simple as that to find the blog page and there's some great Christmas content on there. The Man and the Birds will be populating soon and you'll be able to share that with your family. It will help you bring perspective to Christmas and gifts opening
and just remembering the reason why we sell break. I saw this story and if you're a Star Wars fan, you know BB eight you know who BB eight is. BB eight's the little drone that kind of became the thing in the final three Star Wars movies episodes seven, eight to nine with Ray and I'm not you know, personally, I like the last three. I liked them a lot. I didn't like the first three very much. The second set of three they didn't They didn't last, they didn't
measure up. Now, Rogue one was exceptional. I believe it belongs in your Star Wars collection. But I was a big fan of the new Star Wars movies. The last three I think they've ruined it. Disney's ruined the whole series with political correctness and all of that. And it's a shame. Mandalorian had the possibilities of being cool until it Star opened his mouth. And I think it's gene Gina Carino that they ran off because she was too
conservative for them. But back to BB eight, the Chinese have rolled out a massive spherical drone that looks like the Empire as well it should, right. You remember seeing in the movies all of the drones that were in black. They were like evil. They were evil drones and evil robots, and they'd always kind of snuff out and sniff out the good robots. The Chinese have come up with this black spherical robot that they roll out with their police and this thing can go up to twenty two miles
an hour. It has AI technology that allows it to identify anybody that it comes across, and so it is an autonomous robot. It can operate on water, it can operate on land. It's jet I mean, I'm gonna tell you it's cool, little creepy. It's got a high creep factor. But the point is to identify and immobilize criminals. How it immobilizes I don't know. But this thing looks like I would guess that it is about four feet in diameter, and think about it. Now can roll twenty two miles
an hour. That's outrunning most people in the world. And it will outrun all people because no one can maintain twenty three miles an hour. For about a second or two, you're saying bolt nine seconds max. That's it. This thing's running him down anyway. It looks like a death Star type thing. So if you want to check it out online, it's the RTG. That's what it's called. The rt hyphen G Autonomous Spherical Robot and Man forty seven passed the hour.
This is the Morning Show with Preston Scott. You know, nothing says holiday will heard then I heard from God. This is the story of Joseph Desto sixty one. Just look into the face, the eyes, the countenance of this man tells you, Yeah, you heard from God. Elected to the West Virginia House of Delegates in November running as a Republican, doesn't surprise right, question, of course comes real quickly? Was he really a Republican? West Virginia's fifty nine News writes,
according to the West Virginia State Police report, yep. Always a good start. According to the police report, Desto allegedly threatened to kill Delegate Bill Ridenauer, House Speaker Roger Hanshaw, Delegate Pat mcgeean, Delegate Michael Height, Delegate Chuck Horst. The complaints said that when DeSoto was asked what he meant by when he allegedly said, he allegedly said that God
called him to kill them. WOWK thirteen News also confirmed that the day before his arrest, Desto switched parties from Republican the Democrat. That could cause a legal fight over which party retains the House. Seat. So here's the offense that apparently drove mister de Soto to seek God, God, what shall I do with these men? And clearly God spoke to him and said, you shall kill them, you
shall smite them. He was upset because they voted to expel him from the Republican caucus for falseying his medical and military career information while campaigning. So the disgrace politician did what any good Christian would do, claim God told him to kill him. I mean, come on, oh, you just look at the guy and you're like, yeah, yeah,
both oars are not in that water. It's just I was he a Democrat that just decided to run as a Republican to try to get elected taking advantage of the tide, the red tide that was sweeping the nation. Was he calculated in that and then just revealed his true colors when he was called out for being a liar. Look, there are liars that are Republicans. Okay, there are elected officials that are Republicans that are liars. Hi, Mitch McConnell. There there are bad people on both sides of the aisle.
It's just this is just this is next level stuff here. There's more I'll unfold this Southern's story in just a little bit. Got the second hour, can you believe it? The second hour has already come. Lots of stuff to talk about in the news. Don't leave us. It's Monday, December sixteenth, here on the Morning Show with Christmas Tree.
That is what in the theater is known is a dramatic, pregnant pause to draw attention, to cause it and anticipation of what follows. Good day, my friends, and welcome to the second hour of the Morning Show with Preston Scott.
I'm pressed on the house.
That's Jose. Great to be with you, friends. It's Monday, December sixteenth, Show fifty two eighty eight thirty five, Just thirty five days until the regime comes to a close. All right, Here's what I've titled this segment. Caitlin. We hardly knew thee It was widely reported, but I found the write up by Zach Dean at OutKick to be really fun. Fans turn on Caitlin Clark after she predictably bent the knee to the insufferable woke mob. Here writes
sad predictable. We were ending twenty twenty four on such a strong note too, weren't we And then in her interview with Time magazine, which named her Athlete of the Year, she said, I want to say I've earned every single thing, but as a white person, there is privilege. A lot of those players in the league that have really been good have been black players. This league has kind of
been built on them. The more we can appreciate that, highlight that talk about that, then continue to have brands and companies invest in those players that have made this league incredible. I think it's very important. I have to continue to try to change that. The more we can elevate black women, that's going to be a beautiful thing. A few things, first of all, barf. Secondly, no, they didn't build the WNBA. The NBA built the WNBA. And
let's be really abundantly clear about this. I love women's basketball, I really do. It's a totally different game than men's basketball. Same thing with like soccer. Men's soccer is totally different than women's soccer. But I love women's soccer. It's different. Men's golf totally different than women's golf. Average golfers, you'll get more watching women's golf. Their game is more relatable and so copying what they do and how they do
it benefits you better. But with back to the WNBA, Caitlin Clark and all of this before I get to some of the funnier, pithier posts online on social media. Had the WNBA not been bankrolled by the NBA, it never starts because there is no audience. The audience came about in this past year because of Caitlyn Clark, and it could be argued that Caitlin, being a heterosexual female who happens to be engaged to or with a boyfriend who is an insufferable liberal, probably played a role in this,
or her PR firm gave her terrible advice. But what she's just done is she's just alienated a bunch of people that were starting to tune into the WNBA. Some of the comments, well, I guess we shouldn't be surprised. Caitlin Clark has completely lost any respect she bowed to the woke crowd. The WNBA can just go back to its usual state and absolute pathetic dumpster fire literally makes me sick to my stomach. Caitlin Clark is officially dead to me. Just like that, the WNBA is unwatchable again.
We needed Caitlin Clark to show some courage, not bend a need of the woke mob. She folded like a cheap suit. So sad disappointed in Caitlin Clark. What does her so called white privilege have to do with being a great basketball player? Why do we need to elevate black women when they already dominate the sport. Let's make logic great again. Is Caitlin Clark aware Trump won and there's no reason to destroy her ballooning popularity like this right,
her pr person needs to be fired immediately. My favorite though, comes from a dustin garage grade. Now the white people and black people are trying to cancel Caitlyn Clark ten more years of spirit airlines for WNBA. I love it. It was totally unnecessary. Just keep balling, keep making ads, bringing Little League along with you. It's okay. Let me, let me be very candid. Jackie Robinson before him, Jesse
Owens broke barriers and expanded an audience. Caitlin Clark just did that for the w NBA by being a white girl at a ball That's just a fact. But now, because she's catering to the angry one. And here's the thing, they still hate her. She's not winning anyone over. Here's can I can I show you how it's gonna unfold? Sorry I'm running late here, but that's okay. When she said I have have to continue to try to change that. The more we can elevate black women, that's gonna be
a beautiful thing. Here's here's gonna be the response by the militant, woke, blm illiberal white crowd. Oh, you think you're better that you need to elevate us. See capitulating to these types of mindsets, to the fringe one less than one percenters, you're not. They're never going to be your friend. They're gonna walk in and go Kaitlyn, Oh, come give a hug, and you're gonna walk out and they're gonna go, what a loser. White girl think she's something?
She thinks she's all that. They gonna hate you anyway, girl, and you just sacrificed your integrity. But the brands that have picked you will probably stay there because they're woke brands. So it's all good till pass the hour. Enjoy such as the new landscape of college football, which is minor league professional football. Now, I don't know if you've seen this. Marshall, which finished its season with a very sporty ten and three record, beat Louisiana in the Sunbelt title game thirty
one to three. The Thundering Herd was slated to take on Army in the Independence Bowl. That'd be a great game. Army got beat by Navy in the Army Navy game over the weekend. A little bit of a surprise how easily Navy won that game. I was surprised Army was the favorite. Navy played better. Both sides of the ball just played better. It's fun to watch. But the Independence Bowl now is trying to find another team and it's
going to go with Louisiana Tech. To find a replacement for Marshall, they had to go through teams that finished the season with a five and seven records, So they're going to play a team with a losing record gets to go to a bowl game. Why did Marshall opt out of playing in the Independence Bowl? Do they hate the Army? No, they already lost twenty five players to the transfer portal because their head coach took the job at Southern Miss. And here's your problem. As much as
Florida State's going to benefit from the transfer portal. Here's what's coming to college football. Write it down. I guarantee it. Contracts. Players are going to be signing contracts. Let me tell you what happens in the pros. In the pros, you sign a contract to play for a team, say my beloved Green Bay Packers. If they change coaches, players can't leave. They're under contract. They play for the next coach. Just
that simple. That coach has to figure out how to utilize the players that are under contract on that team. Players are going to have to sign contracts, and those contracts are going to have to tell them that they're going to play in all of the games, including bowl games, championships. Anytime your team suits up, you suit up unless there is a medical reason why you can't, as confirmed by your source, our source, and an independent doctor. Your doctor,
my doctor, independent doctor. But this is this is ridiculous. Where we are now. The NCAA needs to make it so that coaches cannot leave until their contract season is done. They can't take a job somewhere else because it's recruiting season. Sorry, you finish your season. Coach your team through the end of your season. If you have a buyout, clause. You can leave whatever. That's fine, But the landscape of college football has become untenable the way it is, and it's
going to change you mark my words. Seventeen past the hour. All right. I've been holding this story for a couple of days, maybe a little longer than that. Four days. Headline is this, did Washington State come up with a solution for transgender athletes? Here's what they've done. Washington Interscholastic Activities Association, the WIAA, proposed the following participation in girls' sports would be limited to students assigned female at birth.
Oh what a novel idea. Why didn't we think of that. It goes on to state athletic programs would be offered separately for boys, girls it wait for it, and transgender students. No, they didn't come up with a solution, but I appreciate the good try now, go back to the room and try again. First of all, I'm not making fun of the people that have this gender confusion. These are children that have likely been deceived by the mainstream media outlets,
social media outlets, the pressuring that's gone on. It's a social contagion, is what it is. If this were the case that it wasn't, the numbers would be the same as they've always been. This is a social contagent. Here's the issue. One. You can't have a transgender students category because that then pits biological males against biological females. Potentially,
that won't work. You'd have to have transgender boys and transgender girls, which is another way of saying boys that aren't good enough to make the boys team and girls that feel like they want to compete against guys but can't because they're biologically girls. It's it's untenable. Second big issue is who's going to attend? How can you form a team? Do you think you got you got enough for a football team, flight football team, volleyball team, basketball team,
Really you think so? Track and field softball, baseball, volleyball, lacrosse, field hockey. I mean need I go on soccer? It's the word is untenable. So no, this isn't a solution. Here's the solution. There's boys teams for biological boys, there's girls teams for biological girls. And to compete on any team, there are certain things that you have to be able to do and you have to be comfortable with and if you are a girl that thinks that you're a guy. Well,
this just you have eliminated yourself by your mindset. If you're a guy and you want to compete against girls, you've eliminated yourself because of your mindset, the same way that someone's eliminated because they don't want to put in that much work to be to be part of a team. They just don't. They don't want to go to the weight room, they don't want to run laps, they don't want to do sprints, they don't want to do the requisite things. This is another thing that just eliminates you.
I'm sorry, you can't play sports then, unless you play with biological peers, that's your solution. That's how you deal with this. You just biologicals play against each other. That's just with and against unless it's a co ed league, which happens with a lot of young young youth sports, which is just fine, no problem. Raising funds for Humble Houseministries dot org. It would be wonderful. It was payday yesterday for a lot of you. If you can squire away twenty five bucks, give what you can one time donation, if you want to partner with them. They help women recovering from different addictions. They also provide transitional housing for women returning from prison getting their feet under themselves. You have to have a an address to do anything, and it helps. They provide transitional housing for
women and their children. It's a need and they have a home in Tallahassee, they have one in Panama City. They have thrift shops in both. You can donate to that, but we're really trying to raise cash. And if you can give, go to Humblehousemanistries dot org. Pick Tallahassee, pick Panama City, pick both and give what you can. And again I'm just challenging you. I'm looking you business owners and you professionals that have had a good year, and look you you've not been hurt by the economy being
a little weird. You've been Okay, I'm looking you in the eye and I'm saying you need to pass on to some blessing and if you haven't done that this year, you get the benefit of a little bit of a tax right off. But I'm challenging you to give your best Humble House Ministries dot org and note in the dedication or the comments WFLA. This is an interesting time frame, this transition. It's not nearly what we faced four years ago, is it. We're going to see some things. Some truth
is coming out. And what I'm really loving is people are reading into that report we talked about last week, the Inspector General's report about January sixth and the FBI and the numbers that did engage in illegal actions and did do things illegally. I'm telling you it's like COVID. We're gonna get to the truth. I don't know if we'll be allowed to get to the truth on global warming, but we're going to get to the truth about COVID. We're not going to wait seventy five years, which is
what keep in mind, that's what Pfizer wanted. They wanted seventy five years to release their documents. Excuse me no, and January sixth. You know, I'm not a fan of Stephen A. Smith of ESPN. He's found himself fired and retained and fired and retained, and and you know, he's he can be an interesting guy, but he's just to me, he's just another version of Howard co Sell. And I'm not into that, that cadence, that drama that. But it's funny to listen to him rant about the lives of
the Democrat Party and he talked about January sixth. There's a bit of a cleansing going on right now and it needs to continue. And it happens because you become informed about things and you demand responsibility, accountability, you demand we need to do that. Of Republicans, we need to do that. Of Democrats, we need to need to do that. Of elected officials, we need to do that. Of the political parties, both sides of the how we need to
demand accountability. ABC News and George Stephanopolis have agreed to pay fifteen million dollars and change to settle a lawsuit that Donald Trump filed because Stephanopolis and by extension, ABC News, defamed him. Stephanopolis said that Trump was found liable for rape by a federal jury. That is not true. Trump sued him, so they have to make a They've agreed to settle the case. Trump said, Okay, here's what I'll accept.
A fifteen million dollar charitable contribution, a one million dollar payment to cover my attorney's fees, and I want you to issue an apology. After the payments are made, the attorneys will file a stipulation of dismissal of the lawsuit with prejudice, meaning they will not be able to refile the lawsuit at a later date. They will pay a fifteen million dollar I've I've learned this now the presidential Foundation and Museum to be established by Trump. So that's
where it's going. Presidential Foundation and Museum that's going to be established by Trump. That's where the money's going to go. And I'll be honest with you. Trump was very kind in all of this. He didn't want their money. He said, Okay, here's what I'll do. Second big story in the press box, the drones. The story is getting worse. It's not getting better. Federal government patronizing you and I by saying, oh, you're overreacting. This is going to get I'm tell you now, this
is going to get ugly. There're gonna be some high powered rifles pointed up in the sky by citizens that are done. They are just done. The government's not being honest and they're being called for it. Forty one past the hour. Boy, we're giving you fodder for the Christmas season. When the family gathers together. Just make notes, little note on your phone. You're gonna stop light. Just notes, just a little Did you know? Did we talk about this?
From town Hall? Study conducted by parental rights organization Parents Defending Education PDE found that Joe Biden's Department of Education, which needs to be disbanded Listen Listen, spent at least one billion dollars on DEI initiatives since twenty twenty one. Four hundred and ninety million spent on hiring efforts.
DEI, of course, means diversity, equity and inclusion, and that's how you have to say it. You have to say it with a upper New England Northeast kind of.
Three hundred and forty three million on DEI programming and one hundred and seventy million on DEI related mental health resources. Key takeaways from the study. Multiple Education Department grants quote feature programming that advances race based teacher recruiting, hiring, and training, including the use of race based affinity groups. Grants were issued for youth activism programming. They used far left ethnic studies, courses, links to documents. The list goes on and on. This
came from the federal government down. You know, we were we had our just a few members of our security team together on Saturday for pretty intense training. And one of the things we we went through was the proper application of the tourniquets. That we have how to apply
a tourniquet. And we have a fire paramedic who's who's also a swap medic as part of our team, and he was demonstrating the use of the tourniquet and and you know, was pointed out that there are certain places to put one and there's certain places not to put one, and you put one wherever you can apply the pressure. For example, it doesn't do any good to put one below the knee. You put it above the knee because you stop the flow of the blood down. You're cutting
it off so you don't bleed out. That's what you do. We need to cut the Federal Department of Education. We need to stop this type of thing from flowing. We need to turnique, we need to cut it off. Set simple cut the supply off. Ironically, this is not just about buying these absurd programs and things and sending our money to this stuff. But according to the Daily Wire, the Biden administration is using its final weeks in office, five of them to haul a massive amount of border
wall materials away from the southern border. They're selling them. They want to hinder Trump from putting the war with the wall back, finishing the wall and putting it up. So all that material that has been sitting there, they're hauling it away, and they're gonna they're gonna be They're gonna offer it at auction. I propose the State of Texas buy it all. State of Texas, buy it all. But this is the kind of crap that Biden, Harris, all of the Democrats are doing. It's it's incredible. Where
do you think that money is gonna go? You think it's gonna pay down some debt? Forty seven minutes past the element Christmas, Christmas, Christmas. Welcome to the Morning Show with Preston Scott. So how reprehensible can we be? As people? Pretty pretty reprehensible and as tempting as it is to want to do the eye for the eye thing on anything right. Oh, yeah, that's how you're going to be fine. I'll be that way too. It's tempting, it really is. We have to challenge each other to do better, to
be better. I'm reminded of people that became Republicans or just left the Democrat Party because they went to a MAGA event and we're treated with great kindness and joy and a pleasant dialogue. People would bring up issues that might be contentious or controversial, and instead of a fight in an argument and insults, they just got a pleasant conversation and an agree to disagree and hey, thanks for coming. Have an awesome day in the parking lot of an event,
or at the event or whatever. It changes people. I say that as a lead into this story. DC restaurant workers are refusing to serve Trump officials or will at least make their dying experience miserable. That's the headline. We've heard this before. That's the Maxine Waters screed, that's the AOC, that's the way the liberal left wants to handle things.
You can expect the masses to just ignore RFK eating it les diplomat on Sunday morning after a few mimosas and not throw a drink in his face, make them wait twenty minutes to get their entree. I mean, this is the type of stuff that's going to happen, if not now by January twentieth and beyond. This is that thing where we go, oh really, okay, that's how you're going to be. And my suggestion is that we find ways in however that surfaces to be just the opposite. See.
I want to wear a maga hat simply to show people politeness, kindness, consideration. Can I help you with that? They said, no, you maga Okay. I was just offering to help have a nice day. That's how you confront this stuff. I know you want to do the other I get it. This is what's coming. But I'm telling you there's an opportunity here in these first couple of years. And Trump said it, I got two years, he said, I got one hundred days to start delivering on what
I promised. Now he will. Will he do everything that I think ought to be done? Probably not. Will he do a lot of it? Probably, But this is where you're winning. People are awakening to the lives of the left. They are awakening to them. Don't beat people up, don't abuse people be kind, be considerate, do the right thing. Do not fight fire with fire only if you're literally defending your life. Back with our number two doubt. Our three is next, and here we are third hour Morning
Show with Preston Scot Remember Friday, we're not here. Thursday, We're not here. Next, never mind we are. Our last live show of the year is Wednesday this week, and then we start the Twelve Days of Preston and we culminate the twelve days on January third, the twelfth day. Because it's December. We don't have a lot of content because I'm not doing many shows, so I'm rolling out special interviews with Justin Haskins, Glenn Beck, Peter Schweitzer, and
Mark Levin never aired on the show. I did the interviews in the last week or so and I can't wait to share them with you. Uninterrupted sit downs for about twenty twenty five minutes with all of them, and it was awesome. So that's my lasting gift on the Twelve Days of Preston and don't forget we are in
the midst of operation Spirit of Christmas. Raising funds for Humble House Ministries go to Humblehouseministries dot org and click Tallahassee, Panama City are both and give, and we would appreciate it. I am joined by our good friend, and it dawned on you this was our last visit of the year, our last visit of twenty twenty four. Time flies when
you're having fun. You ain't kidding, my friend. Let me tell you, the last part of the year has certainly been a little bit more a brilliant than the first part of the year.
Oh gosh, this has been just a whirlwind of everything going on.
I don't know if you noticed, but I changed my countdown. I was doing the number of days under siege with Biden administration. Now it's the countdown to the end freedom till freedom thirty five days, yep, thirty five weeks.
It's incredible to think that we came through four years.
You know, you could argue we've made it by the skin of our teeth. I was gonna say unscathed.
Then I like backtracks, because no, they're scathing.
We've been scathed. We're doing just a couple three segments today. Let's start with what's going on with the Governor's office. And I mean they're you use the word dominoes here tons.
Yeah, and this all really began with President Electrum nominating or nominating Marco Rubio to be his Secretary of State. Sure, and so that set enforce one series of dominoes, and then you had the nomination and ultimately withdraw of Matt Gates for Attorney General, with set in motion a whole series of other dominoes. And all of those impact the US Senate, the United States Congress because you also have Michael Waltz down in Congressional District six, who's going to
be as National Security Advisor. And then you've got because Jimmy Patronis is running for the Matt Gates congressional seat and unless something happens, my prediction is he's likely to win. That You've got the governor needing to appoint a CFO because you've got the remaining two years of Patronis's term as Chief Financial Officer. And then you've got individuals in the state House or the state Senate who are running for things that are vacated because of those dominoes, and
there's going to be special elections here. So the dominoes make Florida kind of a lynchpin of political media activity as to how this all unfolds over the course of the next couple of months.
What does it say that the president elect has chosen so many from one state and that state being Florida.
Well, I think it speaks to the level of just kind of value that Florida in particular has as a conservative policy beacon. This is something that really began a path that was forged by Governor Jeb Bush back nineteen
ninety eight ninety nine when he took office. The legislature then went Republican fully, and so you have this twenty five year journey of conservative policymaking which basically thumbed its nose at anything that the left tried to put, you know, roadblock up or tried to throw its way, and it showed success. And so I think that that is what President elect Trump has seen. And I know that there
has been animosity. It was a bitter primary set that all aside politics is going to politic in an election cycle. But when the dust settles, and now we have a president elect. He knows success when he sees it, and that's where he sees it right here in the Sunshine State.
Plus he really likes mar A Lago. Oh, he loves mar A Lago. So it's in Florida.
But then you've also got folks like Attorney former Attorney General Pam Bondi. You've got Brooke Rawlins his Agriculture Secretary nominee, who really is from Texas. But AFPI, the America First Policy Institute kind of established itself as the kind of White House in waiting, and it was based in large part in mar A Lago.
You have a lot of other Florida peas.
I mean, it's just a ton of kind of value from Florida moving up to the administration.
Little Florida juice heading to Washington. Absolutely, my friend ten past the hour, more to come with sal Nuzzo, Consumer's defense on the Morning Show with Preston Scott, and this is the Preston Scott Show. Not wasting any time back with Salamuzzo and Okay, so anything more with the governor.
Well, I think it's going to be important to see not just the Senate appointment because you have that drama with potentially Laura Trump, his daughter in law, who wants
the seat and how that all plays out. But I would also pay attention to the CFO appointment because you've got a very Trump friendly Senator Joe Gruders, who was I believe the first member of the Florida legislature to ever endorse Trump back in twenty fifteen, even and endorsed him over DeSantis in the primary, who is going to run for the seat regardless of two years if he gets appointed by DeSantis. You also have Blazing Golia, who is a Senator from down in the central Tampa area.
He has expressed interest. I would expect him to run as well when the seat becomes open in two years. He has been very friendly with DeSantis. He ran the super pack in Florida when DeSantis ran for the primary for president. That's one that I think is also going to be worth watching.
When it comes to the legislature itself, obviously we've got that revolving wheel that we've been talking about, but we're also starting to get word of bills being filed. It's happening. Yeah.
So the session begins the second Tuesday after the first Monday in March, so the committee weeks.
And please remind people that might because we have so many new people to Florida, our legislature is a part time legislature, and explain the schedule how it alternates.
Sure, so you have a sixty day legislative term regular session that in the odd numbered years, like twenty twenty five, it's March April, first week of May. In the even number of years, like what we are now, it's January February, first week of March. So we have the extended window between sessions this time. And why a number of different reasons. One is that with the March April May one, you carry over spring break. Lawmakers when they're coming like to
have spring break. You also have it during the easter time. The other thing that I point out oftentimes is that when they are in regular session, they have a fundraising band. They cannot solicit for any money. When they're in regular session. In the election years, either presidential or gubernatorial, it makes sense to do it January February. Get them completed so that the campaign season isn't broken up.
Got you all? Right? Some bills that stand out?
Sure, A few things to pay attention to. Randy Fine, who is running for that congressional seat. But the election isn't until April, and so he has a window of time before he would have to resign to run. He filed and it's also being filed in the House a full constitutional open carry bill and in the House side Joel Rudman, who is leaving to run for the Matt Gates congressional seat. They have, so there is complementing bills.
It would take Florida from where it currently stands, which is permitless concealed carrie to full open carry like a number of other states have. Ben Albritton says the Speaker designate, Senate President, Senate President, sorry that it's dead on arrival. Yes, the Senate has traditionally been a whole lot more. I hate saying the term conservative because it's actually ironic in
this sense, but they're just it's just the opposite. They're more progressive in a sense on the gun issue that we have right now.
But you've got someone like Senator Fine that is saying no, I'm gonna push this out, and ironically he opposed this type of thing. He was in favor of red flag laws. A lot of people calling him out for being hypocritical.
Well, I think in defense of many of the conservative members who voted for that bill. In the Rick Scott administration, the last couple of years, we were coming off of two mass shootings in Florida had Parkland followed by or the Pulse nightclub followed by Parkland. There was a lot
of arm twisting going on. There was a Senate President at the time, Bell Galvano, who was basically a far less conservative, almost moderate Democrat, who push this And so I want to give a little bit of benefit of the.
Doubt to some committee itself. The commission that was put together on Parkland said no, this wasn't the way to go. And anyway, Oh, I understand that.
Yeah, I'm the word hypocrite is a strong word. I want to give a lot of members who I've known for many years benefit of the doubt on some of these votes that they had to take, which were arguably very tense and contentious and difficult when they took them.
More bills, more things to talk about next with sal News of Consumers Defense website Consumers Defense dot com. It's The Morning Show with Preston Scott. It's unusual to say this because we normally take five segments when we're visiting with Sale News. Oh, but this is the third and final segment. I know this feels like so short. I know you feel rushed.
Yeah, I'm like incredibly rushed, but I'm a Yankee transplant, so I could talk fast, do it all right. I thought it would be interesting to point out some legislators to watch in the coming session, one in particular, and I'm going to lead off with Senator Jason Pizzow because he is a Democrat, and he's actually a Democrat that gets some things done, which is very rare, exceedingly rare.
Is it because he's pragmatic or he's philosophically not aligned with the extremists?
He a little bit of both, a lot of both. Actually, he's very pragmatic. He is a public safety friendly. He's a former prosecutor down in the either for Lauderdale or Miami area. But he's also way removed from the crazy left faction that you have in the legislature. It's also likely that he's going to mount a bid for the governor race in twenty twenty six on the Democrat side
of the primary. He was a big part of the reforms related to the condo complexes, and now I know he was in my areas in Miami Dade because his district is where the condominium fell up, Yeah, collapse. So he's somebody to watch pay attention to what he files. Representative Susan Valdez, and I wouldn't have put her down except for the fact that last week she decided to flip parties.
She was a.
Democrat, she ran for the chair of the delegation the Democrat Caucus and lost it. She is a center moderate Democrat. It's a swing district.
It feels like she's got more in common with the GOP at this point.
One hundred percent. And so I would say, pay attention to what the Speaker gives her to carry. In the cases where bills are kind of assigned to members. She only has their last term, so it's just somebody to watch, and I think it's going to be intriguing. A big name in the Senate side, Senator Jennifer Bradley. She is She is in her second term as a Senator and the name may be familiar because her husband was a Senator and chaired the Appropriations Committee. She knows lawmaking and
legislating well. She's already beginning to call out the need to work more on the insurance issue in the state, and the language that she's using, along with a couple of others, to me, clearly seems aimed at the insurance companies as opposed to the tort issues that we've already dealt with, So something to pay attention to.
There.
Another one that we haven't talked about a lot over the years. Alex Rizzo. He is a former teacher school administrator. He's now a representative. He's a Republican. Three different education reform measures that he's been talking about filing. Streamlining teacher certification to eliminate some of the duplicative processes, a more robust reading requirement in the curriculum because we're seeing reading
scores not do what we need them to do. And then another one that he hasn't filed, so I don't really know what the take is going to be on it, but it's related to the Florida Education Finance Plan FEFP, which is the balance of what goes into school funding from the state versus the locals. Jason Schoff, our local guy, wanted to kind of see what he was up to,
definitely looking at what color springs, water quality issues. I have not been out there in a couple of years, but I did do some reading and apparently you've got water levels along with some water quality and cleanliness things that have kind of depleted.
We had that.
Issue earlier this year where they were thinking about putting either a gas station or a gas storage facility a little bit too close to the springs. Then Senator Jay Collins, he's a veteran, he has carried a whole lot of bills successfully in its first term, the farm Worker Housing Bill, he's planning to reintroduce this. This is a bill that made it through both chambers and the governor vetoed it. The reason he vetoed it was he was concerned that
it could be used for undocumented migrant workers. And so so I think they may tighten up some language in that and get it through again. But as we go through, you know kind of year three or four of a extended housing supply issue. Housing is going to be a big deal in the sessions to come. And then I would say, look at what the legislature in both chambers are going to be doing on disaster relief. You had a whole lot of issues with the Biden administration either
holding up funds or slow walking some things. I think they're going to tighten up some rules and REGs there or maybe make it such that we can use reserves until FEMA money comes in or something.
Along those lines.
Those are some things that in just one segment, I think is going to be popping pretty soon. Thanks as always, Absolutely a pleasure, marrying Christmas, Happy New Year, looking forward to twenty twenty five with you'll be fun.
It's going to be a lot of fun, Thank you, sir, always. Salnews Oh, Consumers Defense dot com the website and he's the executive director of Consumers Defense and more importantly our guest here on the Morning Show. Listen just to hear what he's going to say next. The Morning Show with Preston Scott on News Radio one hundred point seven w FLA. Well then, good one of them. Welcome friends to the final half hour The Bullet Shoe with Preston Scott. I'm prested.
That's y. It's great to be with you. I've got on the blog page his ugly sweater by the way, and let me see if anyone's logged on and uh and checked it out. Look, we're not we're not like a hub of activity. We've got my goodness, we've lost followers. We had over seven hundred and seventy seven followers. We're now down to six eighty three. to ten terrific Ray jose Ken. You see, he's Christmas ugly sweater and so we we welcome you to look and tell me what you think. And that's on the uh that's on the TwixT page at TMS. President Scott Big Stories in the press box today before we take a quick check of what the headlines are on the various websites. I've decided I'm gonna do this more frequently. I'm just going to take a segment in the show and just go through what's out there, and I'm going
to rotate the sites. It's like I'll do Fox one day, I'll do Newsmax another, I'll do cn in another USA today, I'll even do MSNBC. Just just a snapshot, just a snapshot of what they're what they think are the important stories that are being covered. But the drone story is a story that's not going away. It just isn't US government basically patting you on the head. They're there, little sheep it's all fine, don't be don't be alarmed. Well,
then tell us what's going on. Growing numbers of Democrats and Republicans are it's a bipartisan issue. What's happening. What's going on up there? That's what everybody wants to know. What. Okay, so you don't want us to worry? What is it? Who is it? Why are they doing it? And I can only assume you know, thegon's out there saying, well, you know, these are unlicensed RONA operators, and you can you know, we have very free and open skott. Now
stop it. Some of these things are at a size or they've got to have some kind of transponder and it's showing up on something, you know, So just stop it. John Kirby's up there, and I just want to go give me it. I think you should notice it. That's that's where I'm at with this. These aren't UFOs, okay, these are we We they know what's going on, and
they're just not telling us. And that's a problem. And then ABC News and George Stephanopolos agree to pay fifteen million to a Trump named charity presidential foundation that he's putting together. They got to pay it to make a charitable contribute a fifteen mil, pay one million to cover Trump's attorney's fees, and they have to an issue an on air apology. Boy, there are a lot of apologies coming out of that network, aren't there, Huh for defaming
Trump corrections? Okay, I have to say, this isn't the view an ABC product? I think it is anyway, Yeah, this is uh, this is the latest oops of the mainstream media and and it's honestly it's Trump taking the high ground. Okay, I'll settle, pay fifteen to a charity, pay my attorney's fees, and say you're sorry, and say it with a smile on your face. Now, no, that wasn't done right. I want a better tone. Take two. No, no, no, no, no, no no, don't don't look surly like that. George, be happy,
be happy. Okay, that's better. That's how it needs to go. Forty past the hour Morning Show with Preston Scott. All right, So on CNN's site, they have the five Things. What did I tell you? Even CNN number two is Trump's cabinet, he is, he's dealing with Pete Hegsith and what CNN's writing as headwins on his pick for Pete Hegsith. Why, I think it's a brilliant choice. And Tulsea Gabbard as intelligence chief. So that's and of course Robert F. Kennedy and look, I'm not there are better choices perhaps, but given that Robert F. Kennedy really can't legislate anything from this perspective of abortion because there is no federal abortion
That's what Roe V. Wade got rid of. I'm not worried about that, you know, I'm not. I get it that he's in favor of abortion, and that's wrong, but I over arching that's not an issue. We can really do much with United Healthcare CEO. That's the third big story here. They're pointing out that the potential sentence is fifteen years to life. Are you kidding me? See that's where the second degree murder charge is just absurd, absurd.
The family has retained a high powered attorney. I'm not sure why the evidence is mounting on this guy, and he's well anyway, a cyclone A category four other part of the world, East Coast of Africa. Gaza is the
fifth story. Boy, when when they confirm what I think we've been saying since shortly after the whole October seventh thing and talks of negotiations and hostage swaps and all that, it's like, yeah, don't hold your breath on hostages remaining alive and just the fact just think about this for a second now, sumanics sometimes can give something away the words that are used, and they're talking about hostages, that in and of itself speaks to the fact that this
was not a military mission that Hamas engaged in on October seventh last year. It was a terrorist attack. That's what leads to hostages, because in a war, it's prisoners
of war. But that's not what we had. We had an attack on civilians and women and children and villages and homes and you know Kabootz's and it's it's it's gonna be a tough day when they realize that most all of them are dead, because I think they are forty six minutes past the hour, come back, wrap up the program, tell you about tomorrow's show as we continue here on the Morning Show with Preston Scott. Bugs no, no, no, no, no pizza unless you you're making a dessert pizza with a cinnamon crust and maybe just a little touch of cayenne just to give it a little But if you make a if you're making a dessert pizza, chocolate to work with that too. Today is also Barnie and Barbie Backlash Day. I didn't make it up. I'm just telling you what

Little executive producer Privilege was he he's the producer. I'm the executive producer, So gonna flex my muscle a little
bit on that one. I'm going to break out a couple songs. Next two days and then of course on Wednesday, ending the show with the Man and the Birds, so we're gonna probably just kind of do things a little different on that day to just kind of yeah. So we'll figure all that out. But big stories today ABC News George Stephanopolos agree to pay fifteen million dollars and some change to settle a defamation lawsuit against Donald Trump. The drones. There is some news developing that we just got.
Had a listener send this to me. One of our research assistants as well. I'll tip, I'll give you this. One of the stories circulate is that those are US Intelligence's drones and they are searching for a dirty bomb, a duty, a dirty nuclear bomb that is planted somewhere in the Northeast and allegedly times running out, which is why they're deploying more of them. I'm just telling you
what's being alleged. I don't know. Some DC restaurant workers are refusing to serve Trump officials, or at least will make their diving experience very unpleasant. G Is that surprise that's on my face? Biden's Education Department has spent one billion dollars in three years on DEI Biden's selling off border wall parts before Trump can use them. He's selling them, literally, putting them up for auction. Washington State trying to come up with a solution for transgender athletes, and that is
making schools have a transgender athlete category. Yeah, that'll work. Marshall opting out of the Independence Bowl because they lost so many kids to the transfer portal because they're head coach. Left players are going to go under contracts. You write it down, it's gonna happen. It's gonna happen. And Caitlin Clark, what happened? You are now no longer part of my world. Hey, we'll do it again tomorrow. Friends, have an awesome day. Thanks for listening.
