Yes, it is December. Good morning, friends, and welcome live edition of The Morning Show with Preston Scott. I'm Preston, he is Jose. It's eight past the hour. How are you friends. I hope you had a nice Thanksgiving enjoyed at least a bit of a respite. But we are gathered here once again to talk about all the things going on in the news, all the things that aren't going on in the news, and everything in between. We appreciate you joining us, and as always, we like to

begin with some scripture. Verse Corinthians fifteen fifty seven says this, but thanks be to God. Let me just before I get to the rest of the verse. Please, if you decide to make gratefulness, thankfulness, thanksgiving an attitude of your heart every day for the rest of the month, you will spend next year being grateful and it changes everything. A grateful attitude changes everything. No matter what we might be enduring at a given moment, pausing having perspective, being

thankful and grateful changes things. And what's interesting is that secular science and psychology is catching up to that. They're learning people who walk around with an attitude of gratefulness live longer, live healthier and are infinitely happier, not because they're immune to bad things happening, but because that perspective enables them to find joy in the midst of trials and circumstances. The rest of the verse, it says, but give thanks, but thanks be to God, who gives us

the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. That's the other thing. You don't have to go earn a victory. Ready, ready for this. You don't have to earn a victory. All you have to do is accept it.

Speaker 2

Oo ooh ooh.

Speaker 1

Now that'll preach. Ten past the hour. Inside the American Patriots Almanac, we go inside the month of December. That's next. Good Morning Friends, It's The Morning Show with Preston Scott.

Speaker 2

Oh yeah, uh huh.

Speaker 1

It's how we roll Christmas time. There'll be a little, you know, normal music for certain segments. But for example, we don't have Joe Camps today. No healthy expectations. Joe's taking a little time.

Speaker 2

It's okay.

Speaker 1

He's been doing the show with me for twenty two years.

Speaker 2

That's all right.

Speaker 1

We'll be taking some time later on. We've got a family wedding. We got a stuff to do, so It'll be a shorter week for me. I'll be here through Thursday and then Grant will be in on Monday next week, but we will be off. We see now, we'll be off Friday, and then next Tuesday Wednesday, and then the final flurry of a few shows. Getting the best of December is going to be kind of interesting, right. You're probably thinking, what in the world are you going to

air for the month of December. You're hardly doing a show. You just wait and see, my friends, Sorry, you just wait and listen.

Speaker 2

Eh see what I did there?

Speaker 1

Anyway? Inside the American Patriots Almanac, December the second, seventeen sixty three, the Jewish community of Newport, Rhode Island dedicates the Toro Synagogue, the oldest synagogue in America. Eight seventeen sixty three. Sweet goodness, that's before that's older than the country, then the nation. Eighteen twenty three, President James Monroe outlines his doctrine opposing European interference in the Western Hemisphere, known as the Monroe Doctrine. It's one of my bobbles up here.

I've got the James Monroe bobble in my collection. Eighteen fifty nine. John Brown hanged for his raid on the Federal Armory in Harper's Ferry. Nineteen forty two, University of Chicago in Rique for me and others give the first demonstration of a controlled nuclear chain reaction. Man, you know what, I have this vision of when I think of things like that, the first time they ever demonstrated a nuclear

chain reaction. I think of doc och in in one of the original Spider Man movies with Toby Maguire, where he's thinks he can control this power thing and he can't, and it goes nuts and he becomes the evil.

Speaker 2

Doc och.

Speaker 1

Those those steely kind of tentacles that were attached to his back fused into his back.

Speaker 2

Let's see here.

Speaker 1

Nineteen eighty Congress creates the six million acre Denali National Park and Preserve. We used to call it Mount McKinley, Now it's Mount Denali. Who was named after a president. Now it's named after a GMC. And in nineteen eighty two, doctors at the University of Tap Medical Center implant the first permanent artificial heart in a human. The patient, Barney Clark, lived one hundred and twelve days.

Speaker 2

Yeah, no, I wouldn't have.

Speaker 1

No fifteen minutes past the Hour back with more twenty one minutes past the hour. Time to get focused on our make a Difference project, our Spirit of Christmas project is Humble House Ministries. And what they do is they provide a faith based recovery home for women in Panama City and Tallahassee. They also provide transitional housing for women and their children. And they again they have a facility

in Panama City, they have a facility in Tallahassee. And so we're raising money just not for any specific need other than to help them meet the needs of these women and as needed, their children. And so you go to Humblehouseministries dot org and you just click either one to donate Panama City or Tallahassee or both. My wife

and I did both. And what you can do to make sure that we're kind of tracking is in Panama City's donation box, there's a way to dedicate and you dedicate it to WFLA, and that's just a way for them to note internally that it's coming from a listener of this program. And there's a way to make a comment in the giving for Tallahassee and you just put WFLA. That's it simple as that and so would love to

have your support of the program. They're not only helping people that are just going through a tough time that are trying to get their personal life straightened out. They're helping people women that are coming out of prison and jail. I can tell you, having served for the last couple of years on a board that works with the Florida Department of Corrections. Transitional housing is one of those little things that makes a massive difference in the success ratio

of returning citizens. You know, not everybody in prison and in jail is a rotten person. There are a lot of people that are good people that made bad choices. They're paying their debt to society, and when they've paid it, we can either help them be successful or become a victim, potentially ourselves all over again, and then watch another set of crimes. That person goes back to prison and there's another set of victims. Little things housing makes such a difference,

And this is just our way of help. We can't solve the whole problem, but what we can do is help solve it. With these twommunities in these two locations, we can be part of that solution. Now here's another option. The point set is in Pearls Christmas Banquet. You can look that up on that website and you can take part in that as well. They've got one in both locations coming up. So again just go to Humblehousemistries dot org. And again, you know, some of you, I keep using

these words, some of you have been blessed. Your business is doing great, and it wouldn't hurt to have a little tax right off. If you can stroke a check for one thousand, twenty five hundred five grand, ten grand, one to each location, pick one whatever, that would be incredible. And you talk about maximizing your dollars. I have personally this ministry's results here locally in the capital city. I've seen it personally. I know they do great work and

that's why I've chosen them. Now get this on your radar as well. First Baptist Church at Quincy doing their interactive journey to Bethlehem for the third year. Now, so we can now say annual. You can say first, second, and then third annual. You can't say first annual, second annual. I mean you can say it, you're just not correct in doing so. The informal rule is when you get to the third one. Now now we're talking annual. We can look forward to it every year because you've done

it three times. So the Journey to Bethlehem is coming up bigger, better than ever Saturday Sunday, December fourteenth and fifteenth, and there are tours last about an hour and a half. Literally, it's a massive thing at five and seven on December fourteenth and fifteenth. All right, So I'm just uh, I mean, they got they got the animals and everything. Look you go see this then you then you don't have to worry about renting the camels and lamas for your church.

You can you can spare yourselves the donkey. It's goes. Check this out. It's it's kind of a theatrical musical finale as well included in all of this. So if it's interesting to you, first Baptist Quincy is is the locale coming up in uh in just under two weeks, all right, twenty seven past the hour back with more as we get to the big stories in the press box, and they are they're not big, they're they're huge. Welcome to the Morning Show with Preston Scott. Oh it sounds good,

doesn't it. Uhuh, it's gotta make you smile a little. We've got cold weather in the area. Was watching the UH football games Thursday and Saturday, even Friday, and it was like, it felt right to be watching cold weather football and it was cold outside. It was awesome, well relatively speaking cold for our world. Look, I grew up in Minnesota. I can talk to Minnesota twang, you know that midwestern thing, Annesota pop. But yeah, I'm enjoying the

cool weather very much. I will never understand Jose's wardrobe of choice, but anyway, that is what it is. All right, big stories in the press box, we'll look you here. Joe Biden signed a pardon for his son. Now, don't overreact to this. Here's why. First of all, this just in. Joe Biden's a liar. Wow, boy, I am so shocked by that development. Never in my lifetime did I think that Joe would renig on his word to not interfere. But I first of all, let's just get the obvious

out of the way. He pled guilty. He wasn't being railroaded. He pled guilty. It's your justice department, remember, But let's set that aside for just a second, shall we. Anybody that follows the story of Joe Biden. Knows that Joe Hunter took millions of dollars from foreign nations and receive preferential treatment from the United States government in return. Everybody understands this. Anybody with an ounce of common sense knows this.

So I say that because, Okay, he wants to pardon him from three felony tax offenses which he pled guilty to and the gun charges, that's fine, Okay, cool. The worst of the charges have not been filed yet, and perhaps we'll get an honest examination of Joe Biden while he was Vice president of the United States and the money that he and his son and his family built from these nations, China and Ukraine in particular. So if he wants to partner him from these charges, whatever, it

just proves he's a liar again. Donald Trump nominating Cash Patel for FBI director. That's an interesting choice. Cash Ptel's got some game. He is a very bright guy. He is a no nonsense guy. Former principal deputy to the Acting Director of National Intelligence, former senior counsel to the House Intelligence Committee, played a key role in outing the Russian hoax. He's a loyal guy. A bit of a bulldog. Not every nominee. I think it's Dea Is the sheriff

of Hillsborough County. Maybe Chad Cronister. Bad choice, that's a bad choice. FBI warning of scams going on in the holiday season, just be advised. And FSU football, we'll talk more about those scams next hour. Apparently going to hire Gus Malzon, that's the report. He will be the OC. He has a connection to Mike Norvel. When Gus was head coach at Tulsa, Mike Norvel was I guess kind of an intern on the program getting his coaching start. I've the more I've thought about this choice, the more

I've I've liked it. And we'll talk more about that with Irishchefelle hopefully in the third hour. But Gus Malzon in nineteen seasons as an offensive coordinator and a head coach, his teams have averaged almost four hundred and fifty yards a game a game averaged and even at UCF he was in the top five and rushing offense three the last three year. He knows how to scheme an offense. It's going to be interesting because could he be and

look bad. Example, because Chip Kelly called one of the worst games I've ever seen for Ohio State over the weekend, and they're lost to Michigan. Trust me, it wasn't Michigan. It was Ohio State that lost that game. Michigan didn't win it. But that said, this seems a lot like that scenario. Chip Kelly doesn't want to be a head coach anymore. He's sick of nil. He didn't want to deal with it. He'll let younger guys deal with it. He'll just he does. He just wants to be in

oc somewhere. I think Gus Malson's at that same spot. He didn't want to deal with it anymore. He doesn't want to be a head coach. He wants to do what he loves, run an offense. And if Mike Norvell's handing the keys over, that may not be a bad thing. Forty one past the hour, back with more of the Morning Show with Preston Scott. And this is the Preston Scott Show. Oh feel free to sing. Forty two past the hour, it's the Morning Show. You know, we are

in surreal times. It's almost as if the last election, and forgive the crudeness of this, has pushed an enema up the rear end of illiberals. Now some are fighting, some are fighting that enema. But consider what's happened at MSNBC when they learned that Al Sharpton was paid five hundred thousand dollars by the Kamala Harris campaign to do a softball interview. Now, I'm going to take a second with this. I have more to talk about it here, but I want to take a second with this because

this is what you listen for. I want you to think through this for a moment. First, is anyone surprised that Al shakedown Sharpton took money to give an interview that was a softball interview? No, because he learned from the best, Jesse Jackson. I'm immediately hearing Rush Limbaugh, the Reverend Jesse Jackson. Anyway, I can't give it, I can't do it justice. But Al Sharpton's a shakedown king. He does nothing for free. Nothing. There's money somewhere. But think

about the stupidity of this. First of all, we now know that David Pluff, remember the Obama campaign guy worked with Obama that was brought on to shore up Kamala's campaign. He has come out and admitted in an interview with Huffington Post. At no point in the in the election did Kamala Harris poll ahead of Donald Trump. And you remember me telling you don't believe these polls. There is not a chance in hell They're right, not a chance. Now, let's back up for a second. Let's think about this.

Kamala spent one billion dollars on a campaign that was based on a lie. They knew the polling didn't show her having a chance. But wait, they spent half a million dollars lining the pockets of Al Sharpton's organization. Listen to the audience of MSNBC. Sweet mother of God, they're all voting for her anyway, Who are you convincing? That would be like Trump going to Newsmax or Trump going to Fox. He's not winning many voters there. No one's

watching MSNBC for now. There might be some undecided independence on Fox or Newsmax. Maybe you could argue that was but where Kamala. If Kamala's gonna drop money, it should have been where she's not getting votes with people that she's got to try to convince. Let me use an old expression, five hundred grand to do a Softball interview with Al Sharpton is preaching to the choir. There's nobody she's gonna convince because they're all in her side, all

of them. Here's the funny part of the story, though. The staff at MSNBC, which by the way, you do know Microsoft NBC. It's part of a deal. They this, this whole thing was birthed as a as a combo with Bill Gates. But I digress. The the fact that this is now intolerable to the staff at MSNBC. Quoting a bridge too far can't be acceptable pay to play. That that the staff of NBC is this. MSNBC is disgusted by this is hilarious. That's what I'm saying. They've

had an enema. They've cleared out the bowels at least for some forty seven past the other back with more of the Morning Show with Preston Scott to pass the hour. Good ay, mates, and welcome to the Morning Show with Preston Scott. The studio smells of.

Speaker 3

Rich chocolate and frosty peppermint with a hint of hold on, wait, sugar cane.

Speaker 1

Yeah, we were shopping at the store and I opened this bad boy up. I've got one of those little candle melt things in here. It's shaped like an old school radio and I opened this up. Oh my gosh, chocolate peppermint. Unbelievable. The sugar cane. Yeah whatever, chocolate peppermint. In fact, it reminds me and I know it's still available. I just have never located it locally again. I once found some. It's a hybrid plant. It's chocolate mint. It's

a plant and it's like mint. It's it's a leaf that you can put in your desserts and only it smells. It smells just like this chocolate peppermint. It's incredible. It's I think you can only order it now. But yeah, I'm into all this stuff.

Speaker 4

Man.

Speaker 1

Our house is looking so cool. I have not gotten to the outdoor lights yet. We were I'll tell the story at some point of our Christmas tree. Yeah, and tell that story at some point of our Christmas tree. But we got it done. My wife is an absolute hero, and so we got it done. Had fun decorating it over the weekend the house and had one of our grandkids over on Saturday, and wanted it as magical as possible because it's her first she's she's you know, she's a year and a half now, so she's now aware

of things. And I'm I'm papa, It's Grandmama, is mama, Mama, Mamma, Mama, Mama, I'm whispered. My name is spoken with such reverence. It's it's whispered Papa, Papa. It's hilarious. We don't know where that came from. But she sees a picture.

Speaker 2

And it's pop.

Speaker 1

Makes my heart so happy. Anyway, So yeah, so it's the first time she could kind of see all of the wonder because our house is kind of it's a small little house and we just make it so cozy and it's really cool. But anyway, what is FSU thinking? I'm not talking football story from a local TV outlet. FSU opens dedicated space for black Greek life weeks after racial discrimination incident. The NPHC Park Plaza dedicated to the

historically black Divine Nine organizations. Do you ever see a time when it would be appropriate to do a white plaza, a plaza dedicated to white students. I'm just saying, I know that racism is a matter of the heart. You can't fix it. It's inside the hearts of people and we're falling people, we have sin. But an, do you really think you're helping bridge the racial divide with this kind of nonsense?

Speaker 2

Silliness?

Speaker 1

Silliness, silliness, silliness. All right, let's get to the second Hour. Can you believe it's second hour already? Here on the morning show at President.

Speaker 5

Scott and I feel we should be dancing and singing.

Speaker 1

And having chocolate peppermint candy canes and yelling Merry Christmas.

Speaker 6

J all aha, let the music play?

Speaker 1

Can you feel it? Huh?

Speaker 7

Mountaintops, skipping, embracing, hugging, everybody, Come here, you big lug, Give me a hug.

Speaker 1

Welcome to the Second Hour. You just joining us. We're back live shows through Thursday this week, and then we'll be back with a live show Monday next week. Grant Allen, we'll be in for me, and then I'll be back on that following Thursday, and then Thursday Friday through a few days of the next week, and then it's the twelve Days of Preston. I got to make way for me,

all right. The project is underway. Humble Houseministries dot org raising funds, Give to Panama City, Give to Tallahassee both perhaps and note in the dedication in Panama City or the memo in the comments in tallahassee WFLA. And it's simply for them to track the people that are giving because of this, and so we're asking you to do what you can.

Speaker 2

Wh no war, what is that? Still doing it?

Speaker 1

All right? Never mind? Okay, First, Joe Biden pardons his son. We'll get to that at the bottom of the hour of the Big Stories. But it's just funny. He's he's he's flown off. He's taking a you know, some kind of diplomatic junket somewhere and they're not doing any press briefings at all. It'll be off camera with uh Koreem Jane Pear on Air Force One. They don't want to hear it. They don't want to. They don't want to be questioned about the pardon about him lying. They don't

want to. It's just funny to me. Also interesting over the weekend, did you watch all of the flag planting exploits? Obviously I was watching watching Michigan Ohio State. Ohio State lost, Michigan didn't win. There's a difference, and it's just it's sadly emblematic of some programs. You know, Michigan tries to plant a flag in the middle of Ohio Stadium. That

ain't gonna happen, and a major fight broke out. Police had to come out with mace and pepper spray, and it was ugly, ugly, and an apology would be warranted by the Michigan coach, except he just says, we gotta we gotta handle it better. No, you apologize. It was classless. See, Billy Napier at least had the decency. And I personally I like Billy. He just every time I've seen an interview with the guy, he's just a good dude, calm, you know, just he's just Billy right. And and it's

not a shock that Florida beat Florida State. It's just, really, you're plan a flag over that. Now. I gotta love Mike Norvell. He wasn't having any of it. Mike Norvel pulled the flag out of the player's hands, so that's just not happening, and he refused to shake Napier's hand. Napier understood and later apologized. He publicly apologized. He said, there, that's not who we are, it's not what we do. We're not going to have it and there will be consequences.

Now we'll wait and see. I don't expect him to announce the consequences, but we'll see. But you don't do that, You just don't do that. You beat the team you won, good on you. Like I said, to have lost that game would have been the shock. But when you get sacked eight times and you have eight fumbles and you lose five of them, I mean, it was just an ugly display for Flora's State. Just was defense played pretty well? Really did defense did a wonderful job. Forget the thirty

one points that wasn't on the defense. Almost all of that was on the offense. But that said, those weren't the two flag planning incidents that it was not isolated. That was going on all over the country. It's this is again, this is about young people not being taught respect for an opponent, an opponent. It's just it's a lack of decorum and it's it's it's not it's not something to be proud of. The loss of sportsmanship, whether you win or whether you lose. You know, if you lose,

you shake the other team's hand, you congratulate them. You guys beat us today, and it's absolutely okay to think in your head it wouldn't happen tomorrow, but at that time you you beat us. But man, what what I'm seeing unfolding? Sports in general? Just disappointing. Ten past the hour? All right, staying in the theme of sports, but totally different.

Speaker 6

Uh.

Speaker 1

San Jose State volleyball season is over. Yes, the dude playing against women and with women, Blair Fleming his season, his career is over. Colorado steep Colorado State beat them. Here's the thing. Number one. The coach at San Jose State, Todd Cress. I know Todd. I saw a video of the coach being interviewed. I was like, I know him. He was at FSU. He was the head coach at Florida State Volleyball back in the early two thousands. I

know because I interviewed him dozen times. Likable guy, decent coach. He inherited this problem at San Jose State. What's he supposed to do? The conference is not banning it. So you're gonna get sued no matter what you do. If you keep the guy from playing, you're gonna get sued. If you allow the guy, you get sued. And so he's in trouble. Now there are other allegations being leveled at Todd. We'll have to wait and see. But he was calling out the He said, he's blaming teams that forfeited.

You're wrong, They're Todd, dude, you are wrong. No one owes your team a response, an opportunity to injure their players by having a male compete, and you, of all people, being a really gifted volleyball player back in your day, ought to know that. Now the appalling hateful messages that San Jose State was receiving, I'm with you on that. There's no need for that. There just isn't. They're wrong, But the hate and the threats and all that, no that you just you just don't play against them. I'm

absolutely wonderfully fine with that. But here's another little angle to this story involving San Jose State University. I don't know if you know this, but one of the players on San Jose State that's filed and there are a few players involved in this lawsuit against the university, against the conference, against the coach. She's alleging that Fleming and a player at Colorado State University conspired to injure her,

that player is Malaya Jones. She and two have her two mats, Kennedy Stanford and Naima Weathers decided to kneel during the national anthem in their matches at the tournament over the weekend, and the coach turning a blind eye. Says since their freshman year when the Black Lives Matter movement was going on. We raise critical thinkers to make decisions on what's important. No, no, no, you're a teammate.

You're part of a team, and you don't kneel. Now, if you want to keep them in the locker room and tell them not to come out, that's up to you. But see, this is the kind of garbage that I'm talking about, a lack of coaching bigger than the sport. See anyone that's listening to this program that ever played team sports. I don't care if it was middle school, high school, college, or professionally. Coaches that are really good

coach more than their sport. They coach life. They draw parallels, they teach lessons, And what you teach young people is no, you do not take a knee. Because you get to play sports, you get to you get a scholarship, you get part of your education. Paid for or not, if not all of it. No, you do not take a knee now. If you don't, if you don't want to sing, that's up to you. But you will stand. And if you do not want to stand, you'll sit in the locker room. And then I'll decide if you want to

be part of this team. If I'm gonna play you, well, that's not fair. Oh guess what. It's my team. I'm the coach. There are rules. This is one of my rules. You don't have to play at the Colorado State or wherever podunk to you. You don't have to play there. If you do, you'll be better for it. You'll learn things that will make you a better person. You'll be successful in life if you'll learn the lessons. That's what

great coaches do. See, this is symptomatic. These two stories, the last segment in the one before, these are all emptomatic of coaches not coaching. It's more than about sports. Seventeen past the Christmas treet It's really hard to say thing too harsh with this music. It's kind of like when I was thinking a bad thing that I can't say it now because that music is so dog gone, cute and sweet, so I'll banish it from my thoughts, but only so long, only so far on the sort

of we're following a chain here. We've got on the field, right on the court and beyond. You remember we talked about the Jaguar ads, Jaguar Jaguar. You know the old line about Jags is you got to have two, one to drive while the others in the shop. Now Jaguar is land Rover now, and that's kind of interesting because land Rover has really had a renaissance in the last ten years, really cool looking SUVs. But now you have to deal with the fact that it's married to Jaguar. Sorry,

Jaguar and the new slogan copy nothing. The ad that we talked about featured the anddrogenist models brightly colored over the top outfits, including one man wearing a dress slogan's popped up on the screen. It was the thirty seven can add with no vehicles in it that ought to sell a lot of cars and SUVs, adrogynist models with slogans like create, Exuberant, Live, vivid, delete ordinary, break molds

as in molds no again, no cars. In the thirty second ad, the managing director Rawden Glover and I don't know if Rawdon is as British as I think he might be. But man, he said, it's not about being woke. He said, the message has been lost in a blaze of intolerance. If we play the same way that everyone else does, we'll just get drowned out.

Speaker 8

So we shouldn't turn up like an auto brand. We need to re establish our brand and at a completely different price point, so we need to act differently. We wanted to move away from traditional automotive stereotypes. Dude, does your board of directors know that you're moving away from.

Speaker 1

You know, traditional automotive buyers. Here's here's the real catch. Did you know that jag is going all electric? They're staying that course, Mercedes went that way and then went yeah, no, we're not Jaguars going all in transition to an all electric vehicle lineup. Bye bye bye bite Jaquar, it's been nice. What a disastrous decision. One of the comments I told you I read the comments this by Jose nine zero five six.

Speaker 2

Is that your handle.

Speaker 1

I've never heard of marketing to one percent or less of the population while offending the other ninety nine percent is being an effective plan? Maybe the failing Jaguar Blurrand will exceed our wildest expectations. Meanwhile, those who can afford a Jaguar will probably buy a more modern and reliable luxury vehicle. Yeah, here here probably so twenty seven past the hour, more TOICM. It's the Morning Show with Preston Scott. Well, yeah, remember everything I said last hour about Joe Biden and

the pardon and maybe there's another site. Yeah, I was wrong to all of that. Joe pardoned his son. Listen now for anything and everything that may have happened from twenty fourteen to twenty twenty four anything he's been charged with, convicted of, and anything he hasn't. It's called a preemptive pardon. Huh. You don't say what was going on in twenty fourteen. Oh yeah, Joe was vice president of the United States.

Speaker 2

Huh huh.

Speaker 1

I'm gonna have a little more on that next hour. But yeah, isn't that interesting. He has pardoned his son from federal gun and tax crimes. He said famously that he would not. He said it on ABC News, he would not pardon his son. A few days later, he reiterated that in a press conference with his good BFF Vladimir Zelenski of Ukraine. He was asked, Nope, not gunna. What are you eating shredded jerky? It looks like chew. Yeah it does. I was like, you're not doing chew.

That is not happening you. Oh anyway, Donald Trump nominates Cash Betel for FBI director. In said, I wanted to spend a little bit time of time on this. Speaking of the FBI. Last year, we had almost three hundred and ten million dollars worth of money lost in fraud involving non delivery or non payment. For example, if you're selling stuff, a lot of people got defrauded because the money didn't clear. The check bounced only in a digital sense from a post on social media. Don't let holiday

excitement cloud your judgment. Always verify the legitimacy of online retailers, and be cautious with unsolicited offers and shopping online during the holiday season or anytime of year. Always be aware of deals that seem too good to be true. Don't become the scammer's next victim. There's a lot of people going door to door doing stuff I've noticed, and I'm

not necessarily suggesting it's all fraudulent. Had a delightful young man show up at my house who clearly has found out that I'm turning sixty five next year and wanted to know if I was aware of all the options available to me. And I was like, a brother, I'm not buying anything, and he said, oh, I'm not selling anything. I'm here to help. And I was like, God, good, I'm good. I'm good. Though I appreciate your smile and your good demeanor. He's very isn't polite, He did not linger.

Do I look like some of the needs help, young man?

Speaker 4

Do?

Speaker 1

I big smile on my face and Gus malsan, We're hoping to talk to Irish Afell next hour. I say hoping because I have not gotten my confirmation yet. He's the UCF Central Florida head coach, has been there for a few years, got off to a great start, it's gradually gotten worse. His offenses have still been decent, his running offense top five nationally for the last three years running.

But he's an energetic guy. He and Mike Norvel's paths crossed in two thousand and seven and eight at Tulsa, where Norvell was like a grad assistant or an intern, and Malson was the head coach. I believe there. Malson would go on to be the offensive coordinator I believe at Auburn before becoming the head coach. I think he was the OC when they won the national title or sort of kind of twenty ten, and then he brought him to They took on FSU, the Jamis Winston team,

and FSU won that game. But yeah, I have thoughts on this. I'll be interested to hear what Ira has to say about the likelihood of this deal. But those are your big stories. This Morning forty past the hour, This Morning Show with Preston Scott say, we've got jingly happy music to get out of segments. Now, normally we would be talking with doctor Joe, but he is off for the rest of the year, taking a bit of a break. You retired from practice this past year, and

so yeah, you go get a break, Joe. You enjoy your time, even though I know it's difficult to be away from us.

Speaker 2

I know it is.

Speaker 1

You're probably listening or not anyway. Five. These are five businesses that have seemingly backed away from the DEI stuff. There are more and more businesses that are saying, yeah, let's just stick to doing business and not get into all of that. And one of them is Walmart, top employer in America one point six million. Boy, how would you like to be responsible for cutting those checks every week?

Or two one point six million employees. It announced this past Monday that it is stepping a week ago that it's stepping away from DEI efforts. We've been on a journey. No we're not perfect, but every decision comes from a place of wanting to foster a sense of belonging, to open doors to opportunities for all our associates, customer suppliers. Would be a Walmart for everyone. Cool. You see, this is the part of DEIDI claims to be inclusionary, but

it is exclusionary. DEI claims that it's all about diversity, but it's not. It's about you must think the way that we want you to think, or else you don't fit. That's not diverse. That is the This is the root of all of this is straight from hell. It's Satan. Satan is the master of taking things that are expensive and making them cheap, and taking things that are cheap and trying to make them seem expensive. The switching of the price tags. This is a classic example inclusion. There's

nothing inclusionary inside the DEI movement. There's nothing equitable because if you don't play by their rules, you're out. That's not equitable. But see that's that's that is the mental gymnastics you have to play to be part of this. Molsen Cores, Cores, Cores, Beer Fox acquired a letter from Cores. They are broadening the view of its DEI policies to ensure all employees know they're welcome. We're ensuring our executive incentives are tied to business performance and do not include

aspirational representation goals beginning next year. That's two. Ford Motor Company is the third. CEO. Jim Farley email to employees. We will continue to put our effort and resources into taking care of our customers, our team, and our communities, versus publicly commenting on the many polarizing issues.

Speaker 4

Of the day.

Speaker 1

Thank you, Harley Davidson, Oh you think you learned your lesson?

Speaker 8

Do you?

Speaker 1

And then the fifth companies lows John Deere additional companies, but the big five there are noteworthy. We are slowly winning. They're not gonna go away, but It's all about maintaining pressure and making sure we define these things for what they are. DEI is nothing to do with diversity. It has nothing to do with equity, It has nothing to do with inclusion. It is simply about control. They're using what they call marginalized populations as as cudgels to try

to hammer you into guilt and submission. Resist it all, right, when we come back, it's the Christmas Catalog Spotlight.

Speaker 2

Oh yeah.

Speaker 1

Next on the Morning Show with President Scott. It's The Morning Show with Preston Scott. You would think this is the perfect music for the Christmas Catalog Spotlight, but I'm gonna pick it up a little bit, get a little bounce in it. Huh Okay. Now what we're doing here is I'm doing my part to help you out and play Kay Kringle by guiding you where you can find stuff. Understanding, we shop local whenever possible. For example, my wife and I we went nuts at Kevin's the other day. I'm

just saying, Kevin's has locations in Tallahassee and Thomasville. It is a great place to do some holiday shopping, and so we absolutely did and look forward to it all the time. But if you've got someone that's kind of a gadgety kind of person.

Speaker 4

Or.

Speaker 1

You know, I don't know how else to put it, Brookstone is good. Sharper Image is another site that I would recommend. Sharper Image now has just got a lot of really unusual things as well as real practical kind of stuff, but it's usually higher end. But a flip through their catalog, I mean, for example, this is really cool. They have a Bluetooth CD DVD boombox radio where it not only plays and streams music, it's a Bluetooth machine that also plays DVDs. I mean, come on, that's that's

kind of cool, little portable one. All put it in the workshop, watch some movies while you're working and doing getting stuff done. And then there's this. This is one of those that you might not have ever heard of. It's it handles garden, home and a lot of other miscellaneous stuff. Most everything is really at a good price point. And it's called whatever works dot com.

Speaker 4

Now.

Speaker 1

If you ever see the TV ads and it's they have some of those as seen on TV stuff. But just you could find stocking stuffers in here. You could find gifts that are at a little bit better price point than what you might find at other places. And so the website on this one is whatever works dot com.

Whatever works dot Com. It's it's a great little catalog of just stuff, and I mean everything from not just home and garden, but but even if you you know, like pj's and gloves, and you know, little things that you go put over your seat belt so that the seat belt doesn't feel so harsh. A lot of women don't like the feel of a seat belt, and so they've got those little things that you can wrap around it that just with the faux fur that just make it feel a little softer, a little a little more

friendly and don't pinch quite as much. For some. They've got some solar powered ultrasonic pest devices they keep pests out, garden shears, electric garden shears. If you've never used electric pruners, they're incredible, little portable's handsaws. I mean, just a lot of weird stuff that again, whatever works dot Com. And sharper Image is another one that I would heartily recommend, and I think it's just sharper image dot com. But you can easily find that. So there you go. Those

your catalogs for today. I'll have Ali some more tomorrow, so just trying to throw you a few bones there, all right, when we come back Irish Chefell. The football season is over, but is there a new offensive coordinator about to be announced? We'll talk about it next holiday. Greetings, The Morning Show with Preston Scott. It is show number

five thousand, two hundred and eighty two. That is Jose in the Santa Claus hat over there in Studio one A. I am here dressed normally in Studio one B. It's great to be with you this morning, and I'm pleased to have with me the managing editor of war chand dot Com, Leah's and Gentlemen, Ira Chaffelle joins us this morning. Ira, how are you?

Speaker 4

I'm great, Preston, how are you well?

Speaker 1

I'm doing okay. I guess I'm just curious. Is there a sense of relief for you having covered this very difficult season of FSU football that the actual football games are over.

Speaker 4

Oh thousand percent? You know, really honestly for the about probably the last five or six weeks. Yeah. Really. Once they lost at Duke, I think that was when I just started thinking, Okay, I don't even know if any of this matters the rest of the season other than you know, you want to compete, you want to win.

But in terms of the future, I mean, it seemed pretty clear to me they were gonna have to make a lot of changes to the staff, to the roster and then kind of start over, and that's what they're doing right now. So I you know, I'm just one of those people that like, let's rip off the band aid, let's get to that. And so I'm sure it's stunk watching those losses, but I've been ready for a while to just see what comes next because obviously twenty twenty

four was never going to be anything people wanted to. Remember.

Speaker 1

What's harder doing a press conference with the coaching staff when this kind of season is unfolding, or having to write stories about the games.

Speaker 4

Well, honestly, we've kind of moved on from writing stories about the games because you know, there's just so much you can do. You know, like one of the things I write during the season, and you know people probably won't care, but you ask, but you know, I write a long piece called three two one after the game, where it gives three observations two questions in a prediction after the games. Well, I stopped doing those about a month ago because what's the point. I mean, it was

the Sims groundhog Day. You know, the offense can't do anything. The defense sometimes would play pretty well but then just kind of fall apart as the game went on because they knew the offense couldn't score, you know, so the circumstances might change, like this was a new twist this time against Florida, fumbling at eight times. They hadn't done that before. But the overall big picture is, you know, the offense has been terrible all season, and so it's

just not so much to write. The press conferences are difficult because you know, you want to what the fans want is the fans wanted to coach to take some accountability. And I think it's difficult for Mike Dorvel because he takes accountability, but he really doesn't like to put blame on anybody else. And I think the fans wanted to hear more of that, Like they wanted to hear more of Mike Norvel pointing out, hey, our offensive line can't block our offensive line coaches failing in his job. That's

just not his style. He's more to just say it's all my fault, and now for a while people get tired of hearing that.

Speaker 1

I think for me, Ira as just an observer and I don't hang around with the team, they don't do interviews with me in any way, shape or form the coaching staff. I think what surprised me is I think we all know Mike Norvel's good. He's a good coach, and he's probably a better person. That said, I, for the life of me, cannot understand why he continued to put young quarterbacks out there and not even offer them a chance of protection by bringing leaving tight ends, two

tight ends, just helping there. Just was never an admission our offensive line is bad and we got to do more to protect our quarterbacks.

Speaker 4

There's a million strange things about how he's handled the offense. You know, I think you would say, maybe rolling the quarterbacks out more, kind of splitting the field in half. I think you could point to you know, I thought that game against Florida, Florida was playing two deep safeties basically five or six in the box, and Florida State didn't just run it. I would have run it every

play until they stopped doing that. And you know they it's just there's a lot of questions, but I think what happened to him, my guess is, you know, just once things started going south, it seemed like it just spiraled and then it affected his decision making. And I think part of the reason I'm excited to know that he is going to give up the offense and give it to somebody else, is he now he can focus

on what he needs to focus on. Like when Jimi Fisher was the play caller, I never wanted him to give up play calling because I thought he couldn't call plays, just like sorry, just like I don't believe Mike Norvel can call plays. But what happens is if things are going well, that's fine. But when things are going poorly and you need to fix all of these other problems and then you also have to be the game planner

and play caller, I think that's too much. So that's why I'm glad to see he's giving that up, because I just think he couldn't focus on that as well as he should have because he had so many other things going wrong.

Speaker 1

Mike Norvell, What's he gonna do next? That's what we're going to talk about next with Irishafello war chant dot Com here on the Morning Show with Preston Scott. All Right, Levin passed the hour Morning Show with Preston Scott. Good to have back with us. Irischaffell of war chant dot Com. Ira Mike Norvell has seemingly picked someone to be the offensive coordinator. Were you surprised to hear the word of Gus miles on as the man?

Speaker 4

You know? I wasn't totally shocked because Geene Williams, who I worked with, had been saying of the last he'd been reporting on our side the last week that it

was picking up steam. And I think the reason it was picking up steam was because I think it was going to become in preastingly hard to hire one of these young, up and coming offensive coordinators that we have been talking about, like friend and Marian EUMLV and there's a few others that are that are big names is successful young offense coordinators, because there's so many jobs that were open. And that was one of the friends I'm find in the industry, you know, pointed out to me

during the process. He's like, how are how is Forest taking a hire an offensive coordinator like that when all of these American Athletic Conference jobs are coming open, all these other mid level jobs coming open, and so I think that's why they went in this direction. It was going to take a long time to get some of those coaches because they would have to go through the process of interviewing for head coaching jobs, and then you have to wait and find out whether or not you

can outbid them or or whether the person chooses. So Gus Mal's on with his situation going sideways at UCF and their previous relationship, I think it made sense for those reasons.

Speaker 1

If I were to suggest that this parallels Chip Kelly going to Ohio State University deciding I'm over being a head coach. The requirements of being one in the NIL era is not for me. I want to do what I like doing and what I love doing. Is that a fair comparison with Gus Melson.

Speaker 4

Perhaps, I think it's probably in the same family, but I don't know if it's exactly the same situation. My impression is that maybe gust Malzan realized it was not going to turn around at UCF and so, and he wants to coach back at a higher level. And if I'm him and I've been saying this all a lot.

I've been saying this for six weeks that I thought Flora State's offensive coordinators I would be very attractive because you went from a team that couldn't score at all, couldn't move the ball, couldn't put together any kind of offense at all, and in this era where you can bring in new players, if he goes from a team that was averaging thirteen or fourteen point into game and next year they're averaging just twenty five points a game, which would be like very middle of the road, it

would look like you're a genius. And so I think in my I think Gus Mazama sees this is an opportunity to kind of have a big year, to rebuild his reputation and then maybe go make another run at a big time job. I think with Chip Kelly, I think he did want to get out of that role. I wonder if Gus Manzan wants to get back into it but sees this is a really good opportunity.

Speaker 1

I'm curious. I did some digging on him, and you know, you talk about kind of getting his mojo back, Gus Malzan offensively, you know, the one thing you can say is over nineteen years, as teams have averaged over four hundred and forty yards a game in offense, and even at UCF even as they've spiraled back in the last few years, they've they've been top five in the nation in rushing. So he clearly knows offensive linemen and how to run the football.

Speaker 4

No question about it. And his off the line coach there, coach hand has been with them for a long time and has coached at Penn State and at very high levels. Is you know somebody really for State fans are hoping will come with Gus malzan And you know, I think there's possibility. I don't know for sure that that's going to happen, but yeah, I mean, and listen, Mike Norvell wants to run the football. I mean like when he you know, his whole career, he's always wanted to run

the football too. So it and Mike Rvel for people that don't know, he got his start in coaching really under Gus mal Zahm back at Tulsa, you know, almost twenty years ago, so there is a lot of similarities there. And to your point, yeah, and his first couple of years of U see if they won nine games. I mean, it looked like he was going to really do well there. In the last two years they have not played as well, but even during that they have run the ball really well.

I think they're number seven in the country rushing offense this year. I think last year they were number four or five. So that is something that he's done, and he's done everywhere he's been. And listen, man, after what we've been watching, if you if we had a rushing offense in the top thirty, I think we would be fired up.

Speaker 1

Yeah, no kidding, all right, One more segment with Iris chaffel for this football season. That's next here on the Morning Show with Preston Scott. Final segment of the football season with Irishchaffelowarchant dot com Man deserves a year of happy meals for what he's had to endure this season. Ira. One last thing. Does Gus Malzon help stem the tide of recruiting of keeping players or do you think do you get the sense the staff is at a point where you know, they don't have really a bunch of

guys that they want to worry about keeping. I mean, do they want to keep the quarterbacks?

Speaker 4

I think they definitely want to keep the quarterbacks, at least one of the quarterbacks. I think their plan is to bring in a quarterback, but you know, yeah, you'd like to keep one or both of the other ones. And then as far as the other players, I do think listen, Gus Malsan. You know, kids can read statistics. And I actually talked to a family member of a player who's considering Florida State yesterday and they were saying, you know, they they didn't know a ton about his offices,

but once they looked it up, they were definitely intrigued. So, yeah, he's not going to connect with recruits at a level like a twenty eight year old, thirty year old, hot young coach might, but his track record I think will speak.

Speaker 1

The other thing though, that I thought about over the weekend, I was that that twenty eight to thirty year old hot young coach is not going to be long for this world at FS. You and while you may be right, Gus Malzan may be retooling for another run at a big job, he also might find life in Tallahassee to be worth working the rest of his career for for a while.

Speaker 4

At least that's very possible I mean, listen a lot of times, people who you know, listen. Randy Shannon is a guy who I think has done a pretty good job these last couple of weeks as interim defensive coordinator. I think he seems to me he likes not being the head coach or being a defensive coordinator anymore. And he can make you know, six hundred thousand dollars a year and not have all that stress. And and and you're right, Gus Malsamme may decide he likes as well.

Speaker 1

Well, and if you're the head d C, you're gonna make better than six hundred bills. Now, let that leads me. Who are the Who are the names being kicked around as a defensive coordinator?

Speaker 4

Uh, there's still a few, I don't. I think they already know who it's gonna be. That's the impression I have. I think that may be announced. I think it may be announced as soon as today. So I don't, you know, But the names we're hearing, well, you know there the there's there's Simons, it's SMU, there's a guy, the guy in Nebraska White, and then there's uh, you know, I think the guy at UH. People talk about the guy Kentucky as well. So there's three or four main names

we're still hearing a lot about. But I but I think they know it's going to be I think it's it's probably isn't done yet, like the Gusts still hasn't been totally officially signed yet. Sure, but I think it'll probably come out as soon as today, if not today, maybe tomorrow.

Speaker 1

All right, football season, there's a period on the sentence. At least this season. Now you are effectively covering next season. But let's just take a couple of minutes and rejoice in the fact that FSU men's basketball looks promising.

Speaker 4

It does. I'm I've been really excited, pleasantly surprised. I did not expect a team where you bring in ten new players. It was great that they brought back Jimir Watkins, but you know they have, you know, this new group of players they brought in. I like almost everybody they brought in. The freshman point guard de Kwon Davis, I know you like him a lot, The big kid Malik Irvin, his milik Ewan, He's got a lot of potential, very intriguing.

And then they have a bunch of guys who just play hard and are long and athletic and look like the Leonard Hamilton team. And I'm excited because you know, we know he doesn't have many years left. This possibly could be his last year, and this looks like a team that I think will at least be competitive in the ACNC.

Speaker 1

You know, Ira, When I watch them and watch how they react for each other, it reminds me of the twenty twenty team in that they celebrated each other's successes. And though Covid ruined that team's chances in what I think a lot of us thought was going to be a deep run in the NCAA tournament, the bottom line is this edition of FSU basketball is reminiscent of that deep But they seem to really play hard for each other.

Speaker 4

I agree, And they also, you know, coach Hamilton said, you know, the communication isn't where it needs to be. I think it's pretty good considering all things considered. I mean, you see them really working together. If somebody gets beat off the dribble, it looks like guys are rushing over to try to help. You know, you don't you don't see pointing fingers. You don't see guys kind of hanging their head. It seemed to be all focused on doing

whatever it takes to have success. And it's fun to watch. And again I'm excited because the Civic Center of the Tucker Center is a we used to laugh at it as a basketball venue. It actually got good in those years you're talking about. I thought it became a great venue and I'm looking forward. I think the fans are gonna as they watch this team and that will see this league a huge week. They got to play at LSU and ad NC State and we'll see how for

real they are. But if they play pretty well in those games, I think it'll be nice to get the crowd buzzing again at the Civic Center.

Speaker 1

Yeah, when the students come back, they'll have something to be excited about, which is always good atmosphere in the Tuck Ira, Happy holidays, my friend. I appreciate all of your expertise and insight and your willingness to share time with us this season, and I thank you very much. Have a great new year.

Speaker 4

Thanks Preston. We made it. We made it through.

Speaker 1

Misery. Misery loves companies, so we've been passed. Thank you. Ira Chafelle with us from warchad dot com.

Speaker 9

The Morning Show at pres and Scott on news Radio one hundred point seven WFLA.

Speaker 1

Thirty five minutes past. It's Monday, December second. I'll be honest, it just feels so good to say December. And you know what I forgot to mention instead of day number held hostage, it's forty nine days to freedom. I've transitioned for forty nine days away from freedom. Now that leads perfectly to the big story in the press box. Now, look, okay, Joe is pardon Hunter. He's a liar. Joe Joe's a liar. He said he wouldn't he did? We knew he would.

We knew he would. All right, that's like, oh, what a shocking development. Not all right? But Hunter, I'm going to dedicate the life I've already rebuilt to helping others. I hope you're right, except that you have yet to admit to helping yourself to millions and millions of dollars by scamming, not scamming, by pay to play Ukraine China on boards you had no business being part of. See what I did not know when I made my proclamation is that the pardon covered the years twenty fourteen to

twenty twenty four. What was going on in twenty four Oh, that's right. Hunter was sitting on boards he had no business being on, and he was getting money funneled to his family in return for political favors. But when he says I'm going to dedicate the rest of my I hope he's telling the truth. I doubt it because, you know what, it strikes me as being so similar to Jose doesn't remember this because he might not even I mean, he certainly wasn't barely aware of this story when it happened.

You remember when Oj Simpson murdered his ex wife and her friend, not boyfriend, not lover friend, Ron Goldman happened to come by dropping off a pair of glasses that Nichole's Simpson Brown Brown Simpson left at the restaurant. They knew each other, he dropped him off. It was nothing. He just was in the wrong place at the wrong

time and he got murdered. You remember when Oj said I'm going to dedicate the rest of my life to finding Nichole's killers, And we remarked, well, it's interesting because he must believe that the killer is a golfer, because he spent the rest of his life on a golf course. That's what this reminds me of. I I'm not disgusted. I'm not. It's just it's typical. This is Washington, this is Joe Biden, this is his world. He has pardoned his son for crimes that he's not been charged of,

but which I guarantee you Joe knows of. Joe knows Hunter violated the law, and Joe knows he violated the law. Now what'll be interesting is what happens to Joe Hunters received a pardon. There's so much testimony, there's so much evidence incriminating Joe Biden. Why haven't charges been brought? Preston who's sitting in the White House. Joe admitted the committing crimes on television in a live televised interview. I've played it for you repeatedly. That's crazy.

Speaker 2

It just is.

Speaker 1

Trump nominates Cash Ptel for fd FBI director. If you don't know about him, read up on him. He's a very very interesting choice. Sheriff that he's nominated for the head of de A Chad Gronister, I think it's his name. Bad choice. The dudes, the dudes a fiscal conservative and a social liberal. He's a I mean basically his words,

but he's in favor of red flag laws. Now as as the head of de e A, he doesn't really have a lot of say on that, but the positions he took while being sheriff were exceptionally controversial that it is a bad choice. We'll talk about that as well as other things with Florida congress Woman kat Camick tomorrow and the FBI warning you of holiday shopping scams. Just be certain, don't don't apply to anything you get emailed.

If it looks like it's from a reputable place, just look at the email and then go online and look up the dealer separately from the email. Don't click a link, and you'll find the deal. If it's legitimate, you'll find it on their website if you hit that. If you click that link and it's sketchy, and I could sit here and take ten minutes to describe how to find a how to notice a sketchy email, but then it's too late. If you click that link, they're in. They're

in your computer, and you're gonna be very unhappy. So just don't do that. If it's too good to be true. Probably is too good to be true, and if it is a really good deal, you'll find it on their website. So just use that as a lead and then click and go to the not click, go to the website, type in the name of the merchant, and then you'll you can look for it. Forty one minutes after the album just trying to help. That's all we're here for. Forty two minutes past the hour of the morning show.

You're gonna love this article by Leslie Eastman from Legal Insurrection, which, by the way, I wrote to Leslie and Legal Insurrection. I said I would like permission to publish this entire article, including links on my blog page. Please my reply absolutely period. Thanks for asking period. They were blown away by the fact that I would take the time to ask them for permission, because that's what you do. They were just shocked by it. Wow, right, just really, that's where we

are today. The article headlined scientists officially declare end of climate emergency during Prague Climate Conference. Wait what and why isn't this headlines why? Leslie writes, you may recall my post on the United Nations Climate Conference in Azerbijan this week. It's President boldly declared that oil and gas were a gift from God, Thank you very much. The eco activists

attending the event were enraged. The climate cultists will likely be working themselves up into more hysteria because another climate conference that occurred mid November in the Czech republic of Prague. The Czech division of the International Climate Intelligence Group organized a two day climate conference in Prague where scientists declared that the climate emergency is over. You might be interested

in some of this, folks. The conference concluded with a communicate drafted by participating science and researchers that targeted the climate hysteria promoted by the United Nations body the IPCC, the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, and they wrote that the IPCC, which excludes participants and published papers disagreeing with its narrative, fails to comply with its own error reporting protocol and draws conclusions, some of which are dishonest and

should forthwith be dismantled. Listen to this, everybody listening. The scientists at the conference declared that even if all nations moved straight to net zero emissions by the twenty fifty target date, the world would be only point one degree celsius cooler with no emissions reduction point one degree. So far, the attempts to mitigate climate change by internet national agreements

such as the Paris Agreement, it made no difference. Since nations such as Russia, China, India and Pakistan continue greatly to expand their combustion of coal, oil, and gas. The cost of achieving that zero point one celsius reduction in global warming would be two quadrillion dollars, the equivalent of twenty years of worldwide gross domestic product for nothing. So then you say to yourself, these scientists can't be this stupid if they know that the gains are so negligible

as to not be noticeable in the climate. Why are they doing this? Why are they doing the heavy lifting of government? It's one word. It's spelled very simply, c N T r oh. Hell. Climate change has never ever been about the climate. It's always been about governments controlling how you live. Forty seven minutes past Christmas, Christmas, Christmas. Well, this is uh. It is the story that's rolling around.

It's legit. It is a turkey still bearing the faded label from the store washed up on Silver Sands beach. Wait what Yeah, a store bought Thanksgiving turkey washed ashore on Silver Sands Beach. Now where might that be. It's in Utah. It's on the shore of the Great Salt Lake State Park in Marina. So what was a turkey doing in the Great Salt Lake. Someone actually thought it was a good idea to brine their turkey in the

Salt Lake. Post from from officials in Utah, just your annual reminder not to use Great Salt Lake to Brian your turkey. Not only is the salinity too high for a proper brine, the waves can be very strong and there's a good chance you could lose the entire turkey, as this person did. I bet that whoever that was as a transplant someone that actually left Florida for Utah. At its core, we've got the makings of a Florida man's story if I've ever seen one. Brought to you

by Barno Heating and Air. It's the morning show one on WFLA. Rather than reset the entire program, which was very good, it was a very good show. For the first effort in the month of December, I might add, I'd rather remind you that we are raising funds for Humble House Ministries, and I'm asking you to dig deep

and do what you can when you can. Through December the eighteenth, that's our final show for the season until we get to the twelve shows the twelve Days oppresston go to Humble Houseministries dot org and you can give to Tallahassee or you can give to Panama City. They have homes in both locations, and these homes help with long term faith based recovery for women, and they also provide transitional housing for women and their children. And so

it's a great cause. I've seen the ministry work myself. I've seen the outcomes. I've seen what they do. I see the difference in these women's lives. It gives them a chance, and I'm asking you to do what you can. For some of you, a sacrifice is ten dollars, that would be amazing and God will honor that. For others, it's one hundred. For some of you, it's a thousand. For some of you with a business that's it has gone crazy, it's ten grand, five grand, twenty five hundred.

Do what you can, knowing it'll make a difference. Just marking your donation, whether it's a dedication in Panama City or a comment in Tallahassee. Just note WFLA so they know where the giving came from. And if you're not sure, look it up Humblehousemanistries dot org. Pray about it, think about it, and do what you can, and I would greatly appreciate it. Will remind you each day here on the program, so it doesn't slip your mind. Tomorrow, US

Congresswoman Kat Camicks scheduled to join us. We'll have a manly minute, of course, all kinds of other stories that I'm already stacking up. So my friends, thanks for joining us, have an awesome day. Stay warm out there,
