Speaker 1

Good morning, everybody. Welcome. We are now well inside one week from election day. It's Wednesday, October the thirtieth, and it's The Morning Show with Preston Scott. Do you think we'll know a week from today how much controversy will there be? Yeah, it's a little mind numbing that we find ourselves where we do. But we'll get to all that. Today's a big day on the show talking about voting. Yeah, with the exception of our guest today thirty five, it's

just jose you and me, just us. Just good. I'm going to talk a little bit. Can't wait. Start with some scripture Ephesians two eight nine. For by grace you have been saved through faith. This is not your own doing. It is the gift of God, not a result of works. So that no one may boast. Let's unpack this for just a second. For by grace you have been saved through faith. You can't walk enough old people across the street.

You can't give your weekends away in sufficient numbers. You can't do enough good deeds to own undo what is our nature. It has to be erased and covered by something more. It's not works, it's not doing good things. We do good things because of grace, not for it. We try to help people because of grace, not to earn it. For grace, by grace, you have been saved by faith. You choose to receive that grace. And it's so hard because for as long as we've been alive,

we've been working to to earn favor. When we're children, and it's not it's no one's fault, but we were raised. Do this and you'll be praised for it. Do this, you'll get an award. Do this, you'll get an A plus or a satisfactory or an award, or a pat on the back or kind words. We've been raised to do that. Two live and and try to find ways to impress in order to gain favor. If you're in sports, you work hard and practice to get playing time to start to achieve your goals. You work hard at work.

And what I'm suggesting is this scripture turns it on its hat. Yes, achieve, do everything as if you're doing it unto the Lord. Everything, play, compete, try work your hardest, but not to achieve or get grace, but because in response to it. That's why it is the gift of God, not a result of work, so that no one may boast when you do what you do is unto the Lord. You're doing it for his glory, because of his goodness, because of his grace. Ten minutes past the hour, It's

the Morning Show with Preston Scott. This is the Morning Show with Preston Scott. Just about twelve minutes past the hour. He is Jose I am Preston at show fifty two, sixty five October thirtieth. Today's the birthday of John Adams, born in seventeen thirty five in Quincy, Massachusetts. This is an excerpt from his dissertation on the Cannon and the and Feudal Law from seventeen sixty five. Adams believe that the best way to guard the blessings of liberty is

through education. Listen. Liberty cannot be preserved without a general knowledge among the people, who have a right from the frame of their nature to knowledge, as their great Creator, who does nothing in vain, has given them understandings and a desire to know. Let us dare to read, think, speak, and write. Let every order and degree among the people rouse their attention and animate their resolution. Let them all become attentive to the grounds and principles of government, ecclesiastical

and civil. Let us study the law of nature, search into the spirit of the British Constitution. Read the histories of ancient ages, contemplate the great examples of God, Greece and Rome. Let the pulpit resound with the doctrines and sentiments of religious liberty. Let the bar proclaim the laws, the rights, the generous plan of power delivered down from remote antiquity, inform the world of the mighty struggles and numberless sacrifices made by our ancestors in defense of freedom,

it continues. Let the colleges join their harmony in the same delightful concert. Let every declamation turn upon the beauty of liberty and virtue, and the deformity, turpitude and malignity of slavery and vice. In every word, let every sluice of justice and knowledge be opened and set flowing. Who rites like that anymore? Second President, being at his well, first went to his birthplace, went to Peacefield, which is where he and Abigail had a farm, and where they

have the Adams Family Library. And on that particular day we were allowed in. You're not always allowed in the library. Apparently, it's just every so often they bring a group in there. I mean, you've got a Bible that was given to Abigail Adams, I believe, from the Queen of England, and it's just there, and it's just it's incredible. It's just incredible. Recommend if you get to Boston ever for a history tour,

make sure you get to Peacefield seventeen sixty eight. The first Methodist meeting house in America, the Wesley Chapel dedicated to New York City nineteen thirty eight. Many listeners believe America as being invaded by Martians when Orson Wells broadcast War of the Worlds. If I had it my way, I would program radio stations across the country to re air that because it, I mean, it literally terrified a

nation because most people didn't hear the beginning. In the beginning, Orson Wells announced that this was a presentation, and so as it unfolds with faux news reports and everything, people were being told, you've got to listen to this, and they would tune into the radio and they thought we were being invaded. No, it's it's legit. The recording of it is breathtakingly cool because you it takes you back to a time when we believed that stuff when it

was broadcast, but the important part was missed by nearly everybody. Incredible, And on this date in nineteen seventy four, Muhammad Ali knocks out George Foreman in the eighth round Rumble in the Jungle in Zaire. So there you go, seventeen past the album, come back with an offer to buy Maybe and Iheart's radio season. We're gonna talk about voting today. We're gonna go deep. We're gonna get in some kamala ads and explain how unbelievably remarkably wrong they are. Some

of you're gonna why are you giving it? This isn't I'm not worried about giving her publicity. Really, you don't think they're buying enough ad time, You don't think you've heard the message now. This is about arming you with apologetics to defeat the messaging. There's still votes to be decided. I'm gonna spend time today trying to convince some of you to vote. I'm gonna go through the amendments. I'm gonna go through ballot measures in our primary listening areas.

I can't cover the nation. I can't cover the entire state. I can cover Tallahassee and Panama City and the big issues that you're facing. I could talk about judges. I will. I'm gonna do everything possible to cover as much ground today, and anything I don't get done today, I will do tomorrow. I've intentionally kept some time tomorrow. Thursday, I know, Thursday. Thursday, Yes, Thursday normally a very busy day, not tomorrow. And also

tomorrow we'll talk Halloween candy. But today's program, that's where we're going. I will have James Uthmeyer, chief of Staff, with Governor Ron DeSantis. He'll join me for a few minutes. We'll talk about amendments three and four, but I will go over those in advance of that discussion. Do you want to pull some money together and buy some buy a business? No, really, because I think I think we could get this in a fire sale. Boeing is selling

off its aerospace division. It appears Boeing has a lot of trouble. We've chronicled the stories the the planes, the I mean the jet airliners that have been full of manufacturing defects, whistle blowers, whistleblowers who, by the way, ended up did yeah, apparently. According to the Wall Street Journal, Boeing is considering selling portions of its NASA business, including the star Liner, which, by the way, failed. It's left

a couple astronauts out in space for a while. I still we'll be back in a week, honey, eight months later? Could you imagine?

Speaker 2

No?

Speaker 1

I mean, just think of the practicalities here. I don't know the families of either of these two astronauts. What is it, Sunny Williams? Is it? I think I've got a written down, Yeah, Sudney Williams and Butch Wilmore. But but let's just say for a second, Butch now suddenly can't be home to mow the lawn or do any number of other things.

Speaker 3

Could you imagine my husband's going to be gone for a while. Yeah, he was only supposed to be gone for a week, but his trip got extended. Oh really, where he's he's in space?

Speaker 1

Yeah? Remember we talked about the satellite that just gave up the ghosts. Just last week a Boeing satellite lost. They've got one point eight billion in cost overruns on the star Liner. I don't know if they'll be sooned because the astronauts are stuck out there. They've got an ongoing strike by thirty three thousand machinists that has halted the production of the seven thirty seven Max as well

as seven sixty seven and seven seventy seven airliners. The CEO said, we're better off doing less and doing it better than doing more and not doing it. Well, you think, since you're supposed to be responsible for lives. One of the best comments in the comment section. I print the comment section of certain stories because the people commenting sometimes have insight or a pithy little line that just makes me laugh, and this one was brilliant. Best get the

car facts before making an offer. I'm just thinking, I wonder what you could buy it for. I mean, you know, obviously I'm I'm certainly not going to be a buye. I mean, I've been known to dabble, but good bye blowing the Space Division twenty seven. But if you want to, I'm just saying it could be on the market. You never know. Check eBay Morning Ruminators. Welcome back with you this morning on the program The Big Stories in the

press Box. Republican National Committee has filed an emergency stay application with the United States Supreme Court after the Pennsylvania Supreme Court voted to allow provisional ballots for those who had improperly cast mail in ballots. Here's what's significant. Pennsylvania Supreme Court ruled four to three that voters in the state who had improperly cast their mail in ballots, such as not using a secure envelope, would be permitted to

cast a provisional ballot on election day. You might be saying, on the surface, what's wrong with that. Here's what's wrong with that. The state law does not allow for it. It is against the law. This is exactly what Pennsylvania did in twenty twenty. They violated their own laws because the state Supreme Court allowed them to, and they violated a United States Supreme Court order to preserve ballots that

were in question. They destroyed them. Make note in Pennsylvania, Bucks County shut down the Doylestown in person voting line early on the final day for absentee ballot requests. Apparently too many Trump supporters were showing up. There were lines of people, and they closed it two and a half hours early, and according to various reports, they had done

that repeatedly throughout early voting. Democrat Governor Josh Shapiro had tweeted out that all of the centers will be open until five o'clock, So don't you dare worry if you're in line at five bucks. County said no, no, we're closing. In their announcement, they said that due to high demand, wait times for in person mail in ballots may be longer than expected. To ensure all applications are processed by the end of the day, the office may need to

stop accepting new applications before the posted closing time. That's a violation of the law. They are obligated to stay as long as it takes to service the person's in line at five o'clock in the afternoon, they closed at two thirty. What's the difference? And imagine if there was some district somewhere, some voting place somewhere, using this example to make a point, and suddenly a group of black voters showed up and got in line, and just a just as they started to get to the doorway through

the line, we're closing. Sorry, we don't have enough time to process all of the people we already have. What do you think the report would be? They could gets some coverage? Is it just a coincidence that it seems as though the large numbers of people showing up across the country Republicans are outperforming Democrats and early voting in most of the country. It would appear, but it's not a story when it shuts down and Trump supporters are

left out. Pennsylvania, seventy four year old dude who looks crazy as a loon from State College was arrested Friday night while buying passes for the Trump rally. In an interview with Secret Service, he was asked if he would fatally shoot Trump. He said probably, yeah. So here's another one. And this after Democrats are spending the last few days frantically begging people to believe that Trump is Hitler and

anyone who follows and supports him as a Nazi. They're doing all they can to foment violence, attempt at assassinations. Someone out there is going to think I've got to do something. This guy's too crazy to do it. One look at his picture and it's like, yeah, whatever, that boat's not got both oars in the water. Ford has lost another one point two billion dollars on EVS. That is in the third quarter alone. People are waking up to what I've been telling you about electrical vehicles for

a very very very long time. Their usefulness does it exist? But it's so limited. A lot of ev drivers wear masks. Why is that not all? Just some? It's just interesting. Forty one minutes past the hour. Just an observation. Hey, hey, just an option, just looking.

Speaker 4

It's the Morning Show with Preston Scott's and Sylvania is.

Speaker 1

A train wreck. Electorally speaking, we've got listeners in the Keystone State. Sorry, but you guys know, you know, you know. Head of New York. Prosecutors from the Manhattan District aka Alvin Bragg's office are reportedly asking the judge overseeing Daniel Penny's trial to not let witnesses use certain words. What

do you know? The case I'm talking about, Daniel Penny is the marine May twenty twenty three was videotape subduing Jordan Neely, a homeless black man, acting aggressively toward other passengers writing in the subway, including women and children, put them in a choke hold. Lasted five to six minutes. Neely had told witnesses someone's going to die today. I want to hurt people. I want to go to rikers. I want to go to prison. Indirectly, he might have

done just that because he died later that day. Petty told police during questioning, I'm not trying to kill the guy, trying to de escalate the situation, trying to keep him from hurting everyone else. That's what we learned in the Marine Corps. That's what you guys learned today as police officers. Of course, the BLM crowd thinks this is all racially motivated.

It has nothing to do with it. But the DA's office wants to keep witnesses from using terms like good Samaritan or referring to him as a hero, so they want to control what witnesses say, just the facts. The attorney representing him said, Danny doesn't have to be a hero, but he's someone who did the right thing. He's someone who stood up for his fellow man, a fellow New Yorkers.

He was put in a difficult situation. Either cower and do nothing when Jordan Neely is descending on a mother and her child and a baby stroller, which is part of the factual narrative of this case, or stand up and try to protect the office, said a witness's characterization of the defendant as a hero, for example, is the

equivalent of determination that the defendant was justified. Yeah, the impressions of a witness who is there, present in that moment and their opinion of the actions of the person accused does matter. It is relevant. It's just important to note. I wrote this in my notes here. Control always control. The Left wants to control what you say, what you do,

what you buy, by God, what you think. Kamala Harris wants to go into homes of people that are licensed to have a firearm or who just have one legally, And Kamala wants authority to go into their home and just make sure they have that firearm stored properly. Are you kidding me? And this is who some of you are voting for. Do you need someone to like put on your underwear for you and feed you and tell you which way to go to work and what kind of gas to buy and what I mean? Really, because

that's what the left is all about. They're not about freedom. And if you want to reject my rhetoric, fond look at the evidence, look at the regulation, look at the laws, Look at what they're doing when they're in office and in charge. Look at it. It's about control. I'm slapping it. Wake up, it's not too late. It's guild. Do I need to repeat myself? The greeters Guild. I was just listening to Troy Hawk. Just too funny, too too funny. Had someone send me this a few days ago. Possible

October surprise, Biden resigns and Harris becomes president. Now this was panned back in August, and we talked about that. We talked about all the different possibilities and mechinations that the Democrats might go to. Here's where it gets interesting to me because obviously the idea here was that Kamala Harris assumes the presidency and then has three months to run as the quote incumbent. What I think is interesting

is there's still a scenario out there. Obviously I think it's this isn't going to happen, But there is a scenario out there where Joe could step down, allow Common to take over for the final months if Trump wins, and then who knows what could happen. With one exception, Hunter's getting pardoned. See Joe said he wasn't going to extend any pardon to his son than me and Kamala Kant if she becomes the president, she absolutely could, and so it's it's interesting. I don't think that this would

play well for them. Contrary to you know, the writer here, Steve Krakauer, thinks that it would play very well for Democrats to do the swap, and he obviously was thinking they would do this long before now. I disagree. I

think right now they're messaging is turning people off. I think the more she talks about, for example, in her speech, I think it was her closing argument last night, she mentioned Trump twenty plus times in the economy three times, she actually thinks that she's done great on the border.

We've detailed just in the few days of this week, the massive numbers of people that are in this country illegally, and some I've seen a video of some who don't speak English being ushered in front of others at a voting precinct in Pennsylvania, literally bust in. So, all right, when we come back speaking of Kamala, get a notepad, be prepared to take some notes. Next to the Morning Show with Preston Scott, there we go, second hour. I've

cleared everything away. We have very important things to talk about. This is all about helping you, and I know that there are two potential camps. Three. Really, those of you that know that Kamala is not it's not the person to put in charge of this country in any way, shape or form, just isn't. This is to help you

explain that to others by using her own ads. The second group those of you that actually are thinking of voting for Kamala Harris and helping you better understand her ads and what they're saying or not saying, or how truthful they are. The third group undecided. And so I'm gonna play a series of ads in the next half hour and we're going to talk about them. Some of

you are why would you give her free advertisement? Really, I think the value of being able to rebut what she's saying is infinitely greater than whatever she gets out of this, Because sadly, I don't get to talk to people after those ads air in the World Series or during NFL football games or whatever shows people are watching on television. I wish I could. And when I say that, I'm not saying because I'm so great and insightful and smart. No,

it's because I'm not those things. I'm just an average person that applies common sense and has a degree of information in my brain about what's really happened. So let's listen to this first ad.

Speaker 5

What would a Trump second term look like. It's all laid out in his Project twenty twenty five agenda.

Speaker 1

Now, I can stop right there, but I'm gonna let it go. But I can stop the ad right there because right there the ad is based on a complete, one hundred percent total lie. I'll explain in a moment, but let's go ahead and roll it.

Speaker 5

He'd let insurance companies deny coveries for pre existing conditions, cut Social Security and Medicare, and give tax cuts to billionaires while the middle class pays the price with lower income and higher costs. Because for Trump, it's all about out getting unchecked power while you pay the price. Donald Trump more unhinged, unstable.

Speaker 1

And unchecked.

Speaker 6

I'm Kamala Harris, and I approved this message all right.

Speaker 1

Project twenty twenty five. We talked to some of the authors of Project twenty twenty five. I had them on my show. I asked this question, why hasn't Donald Trump approved Project twenty twenty five? Why is any embracing it? Their answer, it wasn't written for Trump. It was written for whoever would be the nominee and whoever would be the next president. These are our ideas at the Heritage

Foundation on how to improve this country. And it's see what they're leaving out cuts and Social Security cuts and Medicare. They're leaving out the rest of it, the balancing of all of that, the policies that change things for the better for the American people. But that doesn't matter. Trump has per personally one hundred percent consistently pushed away from twenty twenty five. He said, I'm not in I'm not

using that. That's not that's not my plan. So when they say at the outset Trump's plan to project twenty twenty five, that's a lie, and it follows a theme don't don't use what he said, manipulate it Charlottesville, January sixth, manipulate what he said. I'm telling you this is a lie, and I can, I can, dare you now prove me wrong. I'm not and they won't sue me because it is a lie. Ten past the hour, Next Dad Next on the Morning Show with President Scott. I grabbed a random

six ads from Kamala's own YouTube channel. These are not parodies. These are not spoofs, These are not wannabes, These are not packs, these are hers. This is a yenser. What's a yinser? Uh? Listeners in Pennsylvania? This was designed for them. It's a guy who bleeds black and gold, Pittsburgh Steeler fan, and he wants you to hear some things. A yenser I define it is somebody that bleeds black and gold, works hard, and cares about their family and their hometowns.

Speaker 7

Donald Trump, his plan.

Speaker 1

Is going to have me paying more taxes than a billionaire. It just angers me.

Speaker 3

So he's going to make.

Speaker 1

Life way harder on working families. Kamala Harris, she's gonna bring prices down and make healthcare cheaper.

Speaker 7

This is our Conda towns.

Speaker 5

She's our kind of president.

Speaker 6

I'm Kamala Harris and I approve this message.

Speaker 1

Now there's another ad that's similar where the guy said, you know, he had four years it just didn't work out. What the heck are you talking about? This ad connects real closely to this ad featuring Kamala herself.

Speaker 6

This election is a choice between two very different visions for America. I will take on price gouging to bring down grocery prices. I will lower the cost of health care insurance. Donald Trump, well, he wants to give more tax breaks to the wealthy. I will cut taxes for the middle class instead. You may not always agree with me, but I promise I will do everything I can to lift up the middle class and be a president for all Americans. I'm Kamala Harris, and I approve this message all right.

Speaker 1

Few things. Number One, she can't fix price gouging that she caused. She and Biden are the response are responsible for prices being where they are. And there's no price gouging. Is there an occasional product that comes out that's overpriced, Well, only if someone doesn't want to buy it because it's overpriced.

Price gouging happens in natural disasters. Price gouging doesn't happen in a capitalist system where you have pressures placed on the marketplace by regulatory agencies and government entities that raise the prices of things. That's what inflation is. Prices go up or prices stay the same, and the amount of a product stays goes down. Shrink flation in response to the pressures placed in the marketplace. She's been responsible price gouging is she talking about the prices at the grocery store?

Joe and she are responsible, Yes, she is responsible. Their policies have brought all of this about. This is foolishness. And did you notice how she's talking about I'm going to raise the middle class, Well, what about all the other classes? You know, a rising tide lifts all ships, as an old axiom, and that's saying applied to Trump's four years, everybody except for a few higher income earners benefited. The lowest of the low benefited by Trump's four years.

Wages increased naturally. Why because Trump gave tax cuts. These wealthy they should get tax cuts. They're paying way too much. And when the wealthy get tax cuts, whether it's their businesses or whether it's them personally, that trickles down to you and me. More jobs, expansion of their businesses, new businesses that now have capital because they want to invest in new businesses, because the rich want to get richer,

and we win from that, all of us. Do you have the opportunity to be an entrepreneur and be one of those rich if you want to, but not in a system that's run by people that believe in a socialist style of governance, because in socialism there is no entrepreneurism, there is no movement. When we come back, more ads here on the Morning show with Preston Scott playing some

kamala ads here on the radio program. And I suppose I had to wait for a second, playing some kamala ads here on the morning show, and this one is called focused.

Speaker 5

We all know costs are too high. But while corporations are gouging families.

Speaker 1

Which corporations you'll notice that they lob these grenades and don't ever name what industries, what corporations? What are you talking about? No? Call him out who? Because I promise, for example, you hear Big Oil from time to time, Big Oil taking advantage. Then Big Oil says, what you gotta know about our margins? There's no price gouging going on.

So here we go again. She can't stop this unless she gets rid of the regulatory hurdles that she and Joe placed in front of businesses across the country.

Speaker 5

Trump is focused on giving them tax cuts.

Speaker 1

But hang on, yes, tax cuts to corporations your dog one right? Why because when he did it before and he wants to do it and lower them further. Money came back into the country. Let me help you understand how it works. Businesses take their manufacturing overseas, they take their their their their opportunity to do business overseas where they get more favorable tax brackets. They come back when we give them favorable tax brackets. So what does that do.

It lowers costs, It keeps prices in check. It gives more money to workers because more workers are working. It brings back sectors. And oh, by the way, when you have manufacturing ramping up, you have all of the suppliers that supply all the things that need manufacturing. All of the different little items required to manufacture something is then shipped into that store. So your trickle down from this is massive. Yes, he wants to bring taxes down for corporations.

It's called repatriating money. Bringing money back into the US economy. It is part of the tide that lifts all ships. Wages go up. Did you know, Oh, do you remember that minority wages exploded during his four years, highest levels ever of increase for minorities in this country. Why, Because a rising tide lifts all boats. When you do things to stimulate an economy, whether it's tariffs on China or

whether it's lowering the tax rates or both. You create a better environment for businesses to succeed in this country.

Speaker 5

Kamala Harris is focused on.

Speaker 1

You building up the middle class. What about the lower class? What about the upper class.

Speaker 5

She'll make groceries more affordable by cracking down on price gouging, but you'll cut housing costs by taking on corporate speculators.

Speaker 1

Corporate speculators. It's called the free marketplace.

Speaker 5

Middle class families built America. We need a leader who has their back.

Speaker 1

I thought the the poor built America. I thought slaves built America. The middle class suddenly built America. Mixed messaging. Let's go to this one. This one's really sporty. This is Hadley and sixty four thousand.

Speaker 8

When I was five, I began getting centrally abused by my stepfather and he got me pregnant when I was twelve.

Speaker 1

It says Donald Trump killed Roe versus Wade girls and women all over the country lost their right to choose.

Speaker 8

Continues sixty four thousand pregnancies from rade have occurred in states with total abortion bands, and Trump did this. Women and girls need to have choices. With Kamala Harris, we do all right.

Speaker 1

I'm Kamala Harris. I proved this ad. First of all, I don't believe the sixty four thousand number as unqualified as it is. If she's saying sixty four one thousand in the history of America, maybe, But by and large, rapes do not result in pregnancies. They happen, It does happen, but it doesn't happen often. Why because of the trauma of the rape, the crime. But let's step back just a little bit further. Donald Trump didn't do this. The

United States Supreme Court ruled properly. The federal government has no say in the matter. States now have a say. Donald Trump didn't do any of that. One last ad and this is our boy, who I mentioned earlier.

Speaker 9

I can't go to work and mess up something and then blame my staff, like who does that?

Speaker 1

Well, who does that? Donald Trump does that.

Speaker 9

I voted for Donald Trump, and I went to his inauguration in twenty sixteen. We tried it for four years. It just didn't work. And it's time that you're saying about and the middle class is going to suffer. Take it from me. I'm a lifelong Republican. I'm still a Republican. Kamla is trying to help the American people, especially the American middle class. I think she's going to do a great job for people like me.

Speaker 1

He's lost his ever loving mind. He is a Liz Cheney Republican. He's an Adam Kinsinger Republican. He's not a Republican. He thinks he is. No, you're not. And if you think that what happened four years ago didn't work out, you've lost your ever loving touch with reality. You can't help people like that. Twenty eight minutes after the hour, Big Stories, and then back.

Speaker 4

To voting, listening to the Mad Radio Network, where you're challenged to make a difference each and every day. Good morning, and welcome to the Morning Show with Preston Scott.

Speaker 1

All right, thirty six past the hour. Ran a little late there, but needed to get all of those ads in and explained, I just want to throw a shoe through the TV when I see these guys who claim to be Republicans. There's no honest Republican on the planet that could support Kamala Harris. Now you could say I'm not supporting Trump, and you'd be foolish to do so, which I'll explain in a few minutes. But you cannot say that you're a Republican in supporting Kamala Harris. You

can't say that. I mean, they do, but you can't and be a Republican. You're not. You're certainly not a conservative. That ship sailed long ago Supreme Court being petitioned by the Republican National Committee because of we are ruling in Pennsylvania. They ruled four to three that voters in the state who had improperly cast their mail in ballots, such as not using a secure envelope. It's okay, the Supreme Court said,

you can vote provisionally. No, you can't. Friends. This is the definition of an activist court, and at the expense of most of the rest of the big stories here, which include Buck County, Bucks County, Pennsylvania shutting down voting lines early because there's too many ostensibly too many Trump supporters in line violation of state law. Another guy in Pennsylvania claiming that he's going to kill Trump got arrested by Secret Service Ford losing another one point two billion

on evs. Let's go back to Pennsylvania's court. This is perfect because if I were teaching in a classroom, I would lift this up and it doesn't matter whether you agree or disagree. This is the definition of an act. To his court, there is no law in the state of Pennsylvania that allows someone who mailed in a ballot improperly to then get a do over and to be able to cast a provisional ballot in person. It doesn't exist.

State law does not allow it. Four of the seven justices on the State Supreme Court said, that's okay, they still need to be able to vote. Well, that may be fine, and well, but what you do is you say no. State law says this. Because my job as a judge is to interpret the law as it's written. If it's messy, if it's clunky, if it's bad, that's not my place. I am to judge whether this applies to the law or the law applies to this as the law is written, not what I think it means,

not what I infer. But laws are written to state expressly what it intends to do to accomplish. An originalist judge, an actual judge, would have said no, and that would have been a seven zero vote by the State Supreme Court. You may not vote provisionally because state law. And then here's what happens. If people are upset at that ruling, they then go to the legislature and have them changed

the law. The judge's responsibility is not to do anything but apply the law as it's written, not to say, well, they didn't quite get it right in their wording. This is what we think they meant. That's activism. That's not sound judicial policy or philosophy. Thus, end at the lesson forty minutes past the hour. Come back. Some flawed arguments, some flawed logic, will highlight or will go through the ballot.

It's not exhaustive, but I'm hitting the big stuff talking about amendments, charter amendments, ballot initiatives, talking about judges, Supreme Court. I got a lot to cover. I'm just gonna go and we'll cover the constitutional amendments. Earlier this week on Monday, I started the show pretty fired up because someone that wrote me I will not use his name because it would embarrass him, probably but maybe not, I don't know. But he wrote a note and copied me and sent

it to somebody else. But I was copied and on the top and sad pass it on or pass it on, and inside this person's making the case that a Christian has no true moral compass if they vote for Donald Trump. Now, I'm gonna address this a little bit more completely as part of the next segment as well, but in it he writes, godly voters have the following options for president

at the polls. None of the above, which is a valid moral choice of staining from all appearance of evil, or the Constitution Party candidate of Randall Terry, or write in moral candidate of your choice. If not on the ballot in your state. If you're voting out of fear of the Democrats and Kamala, then you're acting out of fear of man, and brings a snare as what ever is not a faith is sin. It never ceases to amaze me how gullible and naive we sheeple are to

follow for the geo p propaganda. The gopet paganda is what he's trying to say. It's just silly and Trump over and over election after election. He goes on to say, if Donald Trump does not insult your intelligence, then you clearly have none. You can support the Bible and the Constitution, and you can support Don the Khan Trump, but you

cannot do both morally. Speaking, what has the GOP done to ensure election integrity and secured prevent a repeat of twenty twenty, which seems like a really odd statement given that the winner then was Donald Trump. It's a convoluted set of arguments being made trying to use scripture and mean spirited attacks on people. And I just want to back up a second. If every single Christian in America

voted for Randal Terry, he'd still lose. This is where to me, there's this practical, pragmatic position that a Christian needs to be in. And I'll get to some other things as it relates to this in just a minute. If you write in a candidate, if you write in your quote moral choice, if you vote for Randal Terry, you are helping ensure Kamala Harris's election, because I promise you no Democrats are gonna do that. It's only going to bleed from the other side. And so in reality,

we have this situation. We don't like it, and I'm gonna explain why. It just is what it is because as we're in a fallen world in just a moment. But the fact of the matter is, either Donald Trump or Kamala Harris is going to be president of the United States. It's not gonna be Randall Terry. It's not going to be and at least Robert F. Kennedy Junior came to realize that it's not gonna be him either.

It's gonna be one of these two. And you can either support the party that believes in everything that God hates, or you can support the candidate that, though remarkably flawed, protects religious freedom and creates an opportunity that creates a better chance of charitable giving, of business succeeding, of people achieving goals and dreams. It's that clear cut and simple, this type of note. This person will never get to write to me again because it was just so ridiculously foolish.

I banned him from my email box. I did reply, though, forty seven minutes after the hour. When we come back, we're going to get to why you need to vote. Interesting note here from Rah in response to the note the gentleman wrote about Christians voting for Trump. I wonder if that same person professing as Christianity would have voted for David in the Bible, if David were alive now running for president. He schemed, murdered, and committed adultery, but

he was a manned after God's own heart. God uses all types for his mission. Yeah, well, set, I want to speak to those of you that are saying you're not voting. I mentioned this earlier in the week. I listened to somebody talk about a friend of theirs who is terminally ill, stage four months to live, and that's it. They're facing eternity and with joy in her heart, this lady asked for an absentee ballot. Can't make it to

the polls, but I'm voting. And to paraphrase, she said, I am blessed to have been born and live in this country. And our founders, and I'm paraphrasing our founders said that we have rights given to us by virtue of being born. Our nation was founded based on Judeo Christian ethics and morals and standards, and this nation offers its citizens a right to vote. From the birth of this nation forward, people have died to preserve that right. She said. I owe it to my children to be

part of that process. I'm voting. It's one of the last things I will do before I see my savior. I'm voting. And what excuse are you going to give. It's a privilege not to be taken for granted. You reap the the benefits of living in a constitutional republic. It's your job to vote to protect it. Not voting influences the outcome because everybody who doesn't vote allows an illegal immigrants vote to count, allows someone who's voting for abortion and control of your life, your faith. You allow

that vote to count. You don't cancel it with your vote. But I want to go deeper. Came across the transcript of an interviewed Glenn Beck did with Josh McPherson of Grace City Church in Washington. He said, when it comes to our constitutional republic, we need to stop using the word democracy. Boy, where have we heard that before. We don't want a democracy. We won't want a constitutional republic if godly voices don't rise up, godless voices will. I

haven't asked the gop into my heart. I'm a Jesus guy. If a political party happens to step into that lane, I'm cheering all the way. If they step out of that lane, I'm prophetically calling them to obedience and submission to God's word. So this isn't me cheering on one particular party. But let's be honest. One political party is explicitly advocating openly demonic, horrific, perverse sin and the other is not. Bottom line, was your spouse perfect when you

married him or her? Why don't we apply the same standard to Donald Trump or anyone else for that matter. No matter who's running for office, you have to hold your nose to vote for him, because they're not Jesus. Back with our three of the Morning Show with Preston Scott. All right, five minutes after it is Wednesday in the Morning Show with Preston Scott, October thirtieth. Bottom of the hour, we will talk with the chief of staff for the Governor,

James uth Meyer. But I want to get to voting here. But first, sorry, gotta do this. Do you know the name David de Pape. He's the dude that was inside the Pelosi home and then attacked him with a hammer. And we never understood why was he in the home? Why did it seem like he and Paul Pelosi were buds? You know what I'm saying. Okay, well, let's set that aside. He was convicted of aggravated kidnapping. Okay, if you say so I mean, I'm just okay. First degree burglary, false

imprisonment of an elder. He has been sentenced to life in prison with no chance of parole. Oh there's something wrong here. Look, he's not well. I'll give you that. He's one of those dudes that the book does tell you. The cover does tell you what's in the book. But that said, those charges do not equate to life in prison with no chance of parole. Oh no, there's something else going on here. This is a silencing Ooh golly. I hate the fact that this distracts me from what

I was going to do in this segment. But I have time tomorrow. That's a big deal. That doesn't add up. This is what I talk about common sense. Now, for those of you that do not know, I am at length involved in the correction system of the State of Florida. I sit on a board that works outside of the prison system, but with the prison system the Department of Corrections to facilitate a reduction and recidivism by providing programming

and resources to help programming to help returning citizens former inmates. Seed. I'm not totally unacquainted with the judicial system in Florida. Before I ever served on this board. I was mentoring with my wife a young man who is in prison, and you know two brothers in law enforcement. I've followed this arena for a while. You talk about a punishment not fitting a crime, and the judge's comments, it is my intention that mister Depp will never get out of prison.

He can never be paroled. Okay, pal, so that's not right. All right, let's talk about voting here. In a minute, we'll go to break come back, and because you've asked, I'm going to go through recommendations. I'm going to go through my recommendations, and I'm going to go through my recommendations as impacted by an organization that does research on judicial and so these are a combination, if you will,

and I will note those distinctions as needed. Ten minutes past the hour, voting the ballot here in the Morning Show with Preston.

Speaker 4

Scott, whatever is left of journalism and always pointing out and correcting what is not The Morning Show with Preston Scott.

Speaker 1

I have linked on my blog on if I were you, Here's how I would vote, which is on the blog page. I have linked to the Florida Family Voice, which used to be the Florida Family Policy Council, and they have a Florida Family Action is their political wing, and they have voter guides and so a lot of the judicial stuff because this is their wheelhouse. They follow the judges. I don't know what to vote on. I know it's

a problem. So we'll get to all that. But let me first break down and go through some things first. If you are in Bay County, yes to the half cent surtax. It is one of the smartest things you could do to keep your property taxes down while keeping infrastructure projects up. Now it's up to you to have us say in what those projects are. But the tax in and of itself is a consumption tax that allows visitors to your county help pay the freight for infrastructure.

They use the roads, they use the sidewalks, they use, the sewage, they use water. They yes. It is absolutely a yes for those of you in the City of Tallahassee Charter amendments. Charter Question one addressing the salaries of city commissioners. No vote, No, they don't need to raise. Charter Question two expanding jurisdiction of the Independent Ethics Board. Yes, yes, you want to expand it. Question three Charter Amendment to resolve two candidate elections in the general election. Yes, this

is a step in the right direction. If there are only two candidates, it will no longer be settled in an August primary. I want the legislature to change it and require that elections cannot be settled in the primary ever, whether there's one candidate or whether there's two candidates, three candidates, or five candidates. You cannot have sixteen percent of the electorate decide an outcome. You can't do that, and that's what we've had happen here. So Question number three is

a yes. It's a step in the right direction. Question four Charter Amendment to provide a periodic review of the Charter. Yes. Question five Charter Amendment to define the role of the Inspector General. I'd say, no, we don't need more government. We do not need more government employees locally. So that's where I'm coming from now. On the state Constitutional amendments,

Amendment one changes the school board elections from nonpartisan to partisan. Honestly, you could flip a coin, but if I were to pick one, which I will, I'm going to vote no because it doesn't belong in the state constitution. But it really isn't going to matter or the other because these are partisan. What this is saying is it just calls it out and it says these are partisan. Just make them declare it. But I just don't think this belongs

in the state constitution. It's one of the few amendments that I feel that I can get away with voting that way. Amendment two providing for a state constitutional right to hunt and fish. Yes, I'm gonna vote in favor of that, because you never know who's going to be an office in thirty years. Amendment three, legalizing recreational use of marijuana. No, talk more about that later. No, no, no, no, no. Now.

On my blog, I list the reasons. It's a short list in terms of I don't go into a lot of detail, but I list the reasons Trump is wrong. Does he really understand what's in this bill? Probably not. He was probably just told say this appeal to voters. It's a bad idea for a host of reasons. Four Constitutional right to abortion. Absolutely no. The language this is so extreme. It is beyond Roe v. Wade. It's beyond no law shall restrict. And it strips parents of your

rights of consent. You no longer have that right. It strips you of it. Amendment five provide an inflation adjustment for the value of a homestead property tax exemption. Yes six, repeal constitutional provision providing for public campaign financing for candidates who agree to spending limits. Yet repeal this. There's zero need for your tax dollars in any way, shape or form to go to campaigning none. Those are the amendments,

the ballot issues. When we come back, we'll get to some of the judicial lists, some of the state offices, some of the congressional seats. Here in the Morning Show with Preston Scott confirmation Florida Governor Rond De Santis will join us Monday on the program. Good to have the governor back on the show. Let's go through the voting guide here a little bit more. Just again, I've been asked to take some time and talk about my thoughts about voting and the who and the what. To me,

the Senate is a no brainer. There is no contest. Rick Scott, Murcusell Powell, you might remember, were supposed to have her on the show back some time ago, and she stood us up. That didn't impress me, but it wouldn't matter because it was she's wrong on every issue. She's just she's wrong on every issue House, and I'm gonna merge my thoughts with Florida Family Action. It's interesting that in District one they prefer Matt Gates. In District three,

they prefer Cat Camick guest of ours. They endorse Neil Dunning in District two, which is the bulk of our area. He's He's received the endorsement, So there you go. It's a no brain or choice regardless whether it's endorsed or preferred. But it was just interesting to me that he earned the endorsement of Florida Family Action. Good for him. Turning to the state Senate, Don Gates wants to get back in the game. Running for Florida Senate in District one.

Corey Simon is the preferred choice. In District three State House, Michelle Salzman in District one, Alexandreid in District two, Joel Rudman in District three, Pat Maney in District four, Shane Abbott in District five, Griff Griffiths Griffiths in District six, Jason Schauffe in District District seven. Now Rudman Mayney Abbott, Griffiths, and chauff All are endorsed candidates by Florida Family Voice. Grace Glass in District eight is preferred. Spencer Brass in

District nine is preferred, again preferred. I got a lot of questions about the judicial Let's start with the real local. The only group that really is in our listening area is Leon and the choice is Robert Churchill for Leon County by Florida Family Policy Council. And if you want to learn more, they explain their reasoning for choosing candidates for these seats. First District Court of Appeal, massive district across almost the entire north part of Florida. This is

about retention. Stephanie Ray yes, Bradford Thomas yes. M Kemery Thomas yes. So all three seeking tension the First District Court of Appeals. It is recommended to keep them last, but not least, the Florida State Supreme Court. I want to highlight this because I've had some folks confused. Confused because they allowed the national narrative, which is a lot of women screeching about the abortion amendment and that therefore these two female justices must be responsible for that amendment

to be on the ballot. Nothing could be further from the truth. It's the four men on the State Supreme Court that allowed it on the ballot, and so yes to Renetha Francis retaining her, Yes to Meredith Sasso retaining her. They are two of the three State Supreme Court just that said the amendment doesn't belong on the ballot. Ironically, all three women said no to the ballot amendment. All four men said yes. Go figure dumb, dumb, dumb, dumb dumb fellas and don't think I'm gonna forget that. Next

time you guys are up for retention. Twenty seven minutes past the hour, come back, James uth Meyer, Chief of Staff, Florida Governor. Around is sand Us.

Speaker 4

Next uncle Preston the relative You actually enjoy having a round and not just at the holidays. This is the Morning Show with Preston Scott.

Speaker 1

All right, because you've asked, I've shared again. The blog is there for you and you can use it however you see fit. I've also got links to a couple of resources. But we're continuing our discussion, especially focusing on Amendments three and four. The consequences of the passage of these two amendments cannot be overstated. Joining me on the program James Uthmeyer. He is chief of staff for Florida Governor Rohn de Santis. And James, good to have you with me on the program. How are you today.

Speaker 2

I'm doing all right, Preston.

Speaker 1

Thanks for having me, my pleasure. Let's focus in this segment on Amendment three, next segment on Amendment four. People don't know the consequences of this, but let's start with some of the things that are maybe a little bit more hidden, and that is the monopoly that this seems to be creating in our state for the weed business.

Speaker 2

Yeah, so you can go and look. It's publicly available information. It's required by Florida law. Who's put the money behind their campaign and eighty five plus percent is coming from

one company. Truely, Eve, it's a foreign marijuana company. They've spent almost one hundred and forty million behind this campaign, certainly the most ever in history that a company has put in and it begs the question why, And voters at homes could know that if you go and look at the text of the amendment, you figure out why pretty dang fast it monopoly would be granted to a handful of marijuana companies, and this big one is one of those companies. This is the company, the CEO of

which wrote the amendment. And they also have language in there that says that they are immune from any liability civil or criminals. So if something goes wrong, if an employee gets sick, if somehow there's negligence, and you know, a candy with their product gets in the hands of kids, they can't be held accountable, they can't be sued. So

they stand to make billions if this thing passes. It's why they put so much money behind it, And unfortunately it's not good policy for the state, which I'm happy to go into.

Speaker 1

Well, I was just going to get to the fact that you know this, this handcuffs the legislature. This handcuffs any governor to take any action once this is in the constitution. Does it not?

Speaker 2

It does. Yeah, the legislature could have taken up this policy. They've decided not to. Now, we do have a medical marijuana program in the state. I think there's almost six hundred retail stores for people that really need it. But this would go and open up everything, and it would hrine this monopoly and this right to smoke marijuana anywhere in the state, even in public in our constitution where

it can't be undone. So and that's what a lot of these you know, big high net work organizations will do, is they'll come and try to buy their way into our constitution, using deceptive language and misleading tactics to do an end run around the legislature and our you know, our democratic process here in Florida.

Speaker 1

I have mentioned routinely that you know, if you're smoking weed as an adult, all right, whatever, that's you. But the fact of the matter is this damages young children, This damages minors, This hinders the development of their brain, and secondhand marijuana smoke does the exact same thing. This is a horrifying set of consequences, and we're just at the tip of the iceberg on this.

Speaker 2

You're exactly right. I mean, to be clear, the language of the amendment it only permits adults to use it. But the reality is, again, it authorizes weed to be smoked not just in your home, but in public places like restaurants, hotels, theme parks, beaches.

Speaker 5

On.

Speaker 2

What you're going to have is you're going to have an abundance of marijuana flowing throughout society where it's going to fall into the hands of kids. We're already seeing in states like Colorado and California that these companies they use, you know, candies that depict them of things like sour Patch Kids, which we all know, they use colorful packaging

and wrapping to make it more enticing to kids. And in those states, we've seen significant data showing er visits going up for young people that you know, have a gummy or two and don't really understand what it's going to do to the developing body. So the law enforcement, you know, I know, the other side, the proponents, they've got some ads with a couple of sheriffs. I'm not really sure how they got them to go up there and say that I have a feeling we're going to

see you know, some some publicly reported transaction soon. But what I can tell you is the Steerff's Association has endorsed against this, the police have endorsed against this, The Florida Cabinet and the governor have endorsed against this. And it's because we want to keep family safe and protect the way of life we worked so hard over the last six years to build here in our Great State.

Speaker 1

James us Meyer with me, chief of staff for Florida Governor Ron De Santus, here on the Morning Show with Brush and Scott. We come back. We're gonna change gears. We're gonna go to Amendment four and detail that travesty that finds its way on the ballot, which to me is one of the most egregious decisions made by the State Supreme Court. We'll get to that next year on the Morning Show with Preston Scott Double Usla. Carving time out of what you have to believe is a very

busy schedule. James uth Meyer, chief of staff Florida Governor Rohnd De Santas's office, here with us on the Morning Show. James, I don't even know where to begin with Amendment four. I would love to just reign on the four justices that put this on the ballot, knowing the litigation that's going to come, knowing the confusion that is in the wording of it. It is ambiguous, as ambiguous as anything I've ever seen on our ballot. I'll let you just take it apart.

Speaker 2

Yeah, first of all, you hit the nail on the head there. The Justice has really screwed this one up. Those four guys, I don't know what they were doing. They have a duty to protect the ballot from things that are misleading ambiguous language. And it doesn't matter what focus group you talk on this amendment. Nobody really understands what the language says, and the authors designed it to be that way. They want to trick people into thinking this does something it doesn't, while I'll tell you what

it does. It puts in language that invalidates existing state laws related to abortion. And it's not just one law. It's not just Florida's Heartbeat bill. It's any law that has to do with patient safety and protection. For example, in Florida right now, where you can lawfully get an abortion, a licensed physician must be the one that does it. This changes that language to healthcare practitioner, which could be anybody. It could be a staff assistant at a planned parenthood facility.

This change is the parental consent law in Florida that requires a parent approve their minor getting an abortion, and it changes that language to parental Notice again a flight of hand that seems innocuous when you're just looking at it, but the reality is they have deceptively contradicted our current

law to take away parental consent. So now you know, the obligation could be for them to just text a parent, hey, your kid got an abortion, So you could have non doctors performing abortions on miners in Florida if Amendment for passes. And you know, the other thing I would say is never before in the history of our constitution has something passed that takes away parental rights. We're very proud in the disantus of Administration of fighting to enshrine more parental rights.

And I'll also say, you know, there's no other procedure in the state that a minor could undergo without their parents' permission. A teacher needs parents permission to give out some pilot all at school. Yet abortion would be allowed

without a parent being involved. So it's very concerning. The final point I'll say, you know, is this would allow abortion all the way up until month nine, if determined to be in the best health interests of the mother by again a healthcare practitioner, all the way up until late term when a baby can certainly feel pain. And then to top it all off, they're going to come and try to make tax payers pay for it. The same authors of this amendment wrote the amendment in Michigan.

They're now running through the course demanding that very similar language authorized, not just authorizes, mandates public funding to go towards abortions. And when voters get to their ballot you're going to see a statement just below the summary. It's called the financial impact statement, and in that statement you'll see it talks about public subsidization of abortions and how that could be likely if this amendment passes. So wake up, everybody.

Look the language. I know it's confusing, but you know you're going to have to trust me here. This is very dangerous and would be the most extreme abortion amendment in the country.

Speaker 1

What's scary to me, James, is that even for those that are quote pro choice, this is extreme because the very beginning of the amendment says no law shall restrict and as our friend Matt Staver of Liberty Council has pointed out accurately, that means it can't be restricted. And you mentioned some of the ambiguity of some of the terms. Viability is one of them, women's health is one of them.

You mentioned healthcare provider. I mean that the list goes on and on, and yet the justices put it out there knowing it's going to just get litigated left and right, and that in and of itself should have disqualified this thing from being on the ballot.

Speaker 2

You're exactly right, Yeah, we I mean, thankfully the three female justices that the governor appointed, I mean, they dissented strongly, and it looks like the majority opinion went well out of his way, out of its way to put this thing on the ballot. So we definitely have some work to do there after November five. I'm going to think

creatively there. I mean, with all these referendu you know, it certainly seems too easy for people to spend, you know, one hundred million dollars and get something confusing on the ballot that could trick voters. So we're going to get to work right away. But first we got to get everybody to the polls. We have to defeat this thing. We have to show the left that they don't get to just come into our state and buy their way into the constitution.

Speaker 1

James, thanks for all you're doing, and I appreciate it very much. Come back anytime. Yeah, thanks, Breton, appreciate it. James Uth myer chief of Staff Florida Governor Rohanda sand it's my guest, forty seven past the hour. Crumb. That's one of the time gone's gone. Just pook, just like that.

Speaker 3

Man.

Speaker 1

I hope it was useful. I'm not so vain as to think that I have all the answers. I just have most of them. Nah that this matters so much. This is the most important election in our lifetime. We've heard that for years, and we've gotten it wrong most of the time. So we keep having to retee that up and say that because we have gotten it wrong. Democrats have occupied the White House twelve of the last sixteen years. Look at what's happened.

Speaker 7

That'll do brought to you by Barono Heating and Air. It's the Morning Show one on WFLA. Look back at the program in one hundred and eighty seconds or less. Republicans file an emergency application with Supreme Court of the United States because of a decision by the Pennsylvania Supreme Court where they acted as activist judges. They violated their own state law. It's happening all over the state of Pennsylvania.

Speaker 1

Violations of state law as it relates directly to voting, suppression, disenfranchisement. I mean, the list goes on and on, and we documented it today. Oh by the way, crazy looking dude, I mean really, this dude looks like a woman having a bad day. He just he's at seventy four State College, Pennsylvania, the home of Penn State University. My dad would be heartbroken. He worked at Penn State. He worked with Joe Paterno, Joe pod his brother George, and it would break his heart.

I've never been to Happy Valley. I've never been to State College, but it is a place and this guy wanted to kill Donald Trump. Secret Services arrested. Ford has dropped another one point two billion as in losses on evs in just the last three month quarter. W Yeah, amazing how that happens. We went through the reasons why you need to vote. We went through the ballot, We went through judicial nominees. Do you retain do you not? Who do you choose between? We went through it all.

So third hour of the podcast is what you go to if you want to hear it all again. And we talked to James Uthmeyer, chief of staff Florida Governor round of sand Scott word that the Governor will join us Monday on the radio program. I'm not sure exactly when yet, but we'll have the Governor for good ten minutes on on Monday morning. Tomorrow, Steve Stewart will join us. We'll give you a road trip idea, and we'll start to unpack a bunch of other stuff that's been stacking

up on my desk. So look forward to that. Friends, thanks so much. We appreciate your time very much. Have yourself a terrific day.
