Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, males and females only, ruminators near and far. Welcome Tuesday, September tenth on The Morning Show with Preston Scott. He is Jose I am Preston. At show fifty two thirty one. We will get to the date that we occupy in mere moments. September the tenth, the day before, right, and I still I still remember, right, Do you remember where you were when you heard what was going on in New York and Washington and then

eventually over at the skies of Pennsylvania. It was just a horrific day. It was a day of terrorism. It inflicted terror on this country. Anyway, we welcome you to the broadcast. We'll certainly talk a little bit more about that tomorrow. Today, my goodness, I'm just I'm looking at the rundown. We've got Justin Haskins. I've asked Justin, Justin, Justkin, Justin to break down the three most important things that

will be impacted by whoever you elect president. And for those of you that might say, well I just I cast my vote, Well, first of all, I hope you are voting, but you have a vested interest in attempting to convince anyone thinking of voting for Kamala or sitting out to vote for Trump. You have a vested interest in that, and so we'll certainly be talking about such things today. We've got a manly minute, we got some money talk. We've got lots to get done. So let's

get busy and start with our verse of scripture. It is our six seventeen sixty three segment, is what we call it. And can look up that date. You'll figure it out yesterday. This is a perpetual or progressive, not in the woke sense devotional. We're going to build one verse on top of another. We started yesterday with Romans five to one. Therefore, since we have been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.

Now today verse two. Through him, we have also obtained access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and we rejoice in hope of the glory of God. That verse, to me certainly applies to the times we're living in. Through him, we also have obtained access by faith into this grace in which we stand. Think about it. You're in grace, and we rejoice in hope of the glory of God, and so you stand in that grace. You're not just covered by it, you're standing in it.

When you stand in grace, I don't I don't know if this helps. But if you were a kid and you messed up and you're coming clean to your mom and dad, your mom or your dad whatever, or maybe an authority figure at school, you're just and they look at you and go, thank you for telling me, thank you for being honest. I forgive you. We're good. It's as if a piano got lifted off you. You're standing

in grace and it changes everything. So once you move by faith into that relationship with Christ, then you're standing in grace and everything changes. You're now justified by His righteousness, by His grace and forgiveness. You now stay and in it. Ten past the hour, got a sad passing to talk about noteworthy in my life. Take a peek inside the American Patriots Almanac and move on. Stick around with us all morning long. It's the Morning Show at Preston Scott.

Before we look at this date in history. I've added something to the American Patriots Almanac. I do that. I write down things and add things to certain days and I added a sad note yesterday to yesterday's entry September of the ninth, because yesterday James Earl Jones passed away at the age of ninety three. James Earl Jones to me, though he never won an Academy Award, he got an honorary award by the Academy. To me, he was a

brilliant actor. And he had one of the singular greatest voices in our history in the twentieth and twenty first century. It'll go down as one of the singular greatest voices ever. God just touched his throat. He was the voice of Darth Vader. He was the voice of Mufasa, the Lion King. He starred in the movies Coming to America with Eddie Murphy, of Dreams with Kevin Costner his speech, and Field of Dreams. People will come, Ray, Oh They'll come. Oh my goodness.

As Terence Man. He was brilliant in that movie Hunt for Red October. In fact, he was in all of the I think they were Tom Clancy movies that featured Jack Ryan, at least a bunch of them. He was in Patriot Games, Clear and Present, Danger, the Sandlot, but best known whether you knew his name or not, as the voice of Darth Vader Luke, you must learn the ways of the force. I mean, actually, I've got my sound effects. Jar here, Luke, I am your father. I mean,

come on, dude, was just he was the best. You heard that voice and you were Malfoss lion king. Come on, anyway, that won hurt a little bit. It's I mean, it's he's ninety three. God bless him right now. It's for today. September tenth, sixteen oh eight. In Virginia, John Smith elected President of the Jamestown Council. Seventeen ninety four, US's first non denominational college, Blunt College in Knoxville, is chartered that

would become the University of Tennessee seventeen ninety four. Eighteen, following the Battle of Lake Erie, Oliver Hazard Perry sends the message, we have met the enemy. They are ours. Eighteen forty six. Elias Howe of Spencer mass Patten's The hand Cranked Sewing Machine. Nineteen thirteen. The Lincoln Highway, the first coast to coast paved US highway, stretching from New York to San Francisco, opens. It was replaced by I eighty.

By the way, you do know that the odd numbered interstates go north and south and the even numbered go east and west. Just thoughted drop that on you. And in nineteen fifty nine, sorry fifty five, the TV show Gun Smoke, Gun Smoke premieres on CBS. Twenty years on TV. I never really got into gun Smoke. I probably would if it were released when I was a little older, but at the time, man, it was all Batman TV series and cartoons. Come on, get some of that sixteen

past the Hour back with more. If you were to enter the Mega Millions, what is it? It's Powerball and it's Mega Millions. It's like they alternate these massive multi state games, I guess I would probably just prefer to play the Florida Lottery game if I were to do it. But you know, do you ever play this stuff, Jose? I mean, do you ever drop a couple bucks on a lottery ticket? Ever? I used to, but not really yeah as much anymore? Okay, what would do? What would

determine whether you would do it? We would have to just feel right, you know, like a random time I'm at a gas station and the stars lined up, Let's do this. I got a couple bucks here, little cash in the hand, Let's throw a couple bucks out, burning a hole in my pocket. Let me just grab a couple of tickets here with it. Are you a quick pick or do you have numbers that you use? Usually a quick pick just let the computer do it. Yep, Yeah, that's my inclination because I don't want to think. I

don't want to think as hard as it's required. Because if you start picking dates, if you have more than six significant dates in your head, you're screwed. I mean, who do you leave out?

Speaker 2

Like?

Speaker 1

Whose birthdate do you leave out? And then you just start feeling like trash. So you know, I don't go there, So I tend to be a quick pick guy. But just so you know, the odds of winning the grand prize are one in three hundred and two plus million, to quote Lloyd Christmas, So you're saying there's a chance.

Winners usually pick the cash prize versus the annuity, although the annuity makes you more money if you think you're going to live twenty nine more years, because you get the you get a one immediate payment followed by twenty nine annual payments, but you get more money that way and you have guaranteed income. There's some wisdom in that, but a lot of people are like, yeah, no, no, no, no, I'm not going to run the risk of that money running away. I'd rather blow it on my own, thank

you very much. And that's usually what happens. A lot of the big winners end up right back where they started, if not worse, because they've committed to a lifestyle that they can't support indefinitely, because they didn't invest their money. They didn't you know, they didn't spend it wisely, if you will. But we're looking at a mega million's jackpot of eight hundred million plus tonight. The last set of numbers were six twenty three, forty one, fifty nine sixty three.

The mega ball was twenty five. Yeah, I would, I would settle for any of the smaller prizes. I'd be good. That worked for me. In fact, I don't think I would probably rather win a smaller prize in the shadow of the big winner, you know, because let them have all the attention. I'll, you know, because here's the thing. You win one of these, your life is changing in ways you can't comprehend. You're now talking gated community security personnel or living out somewhere with a mote and alligators,

because you know you're you're a target now. You are in absolutely your children, your grandchildren, their targets. Once word gets out, everybody in the world that wants to start a business is coming to you, that's in your friendship circle and you just you. Boy. The last time the jackpot was one was June fourth, and we're talking Mega millions, the largest ever. Lek mean, I got all these facts on this one point six billion one in Florida in

twenty twenty three. One point six billion. See where you win it? Man? You want to win in Florida or someplace that doesn't have an income tax, right, because you're going to drop roughly forty percent to the Feds, Yeah, thirty seven or thirty eight percent whatever. Since it's ridiculous, it really is. So you know you're gonna have to

suffer along. If you had won that one point six billion, you'd be suffering along with about nine hundred million, maybe eight hundred million, little eight hundred and fifty million, something like that. Anyway, Mega Million's played in forty five states, as well as Washington, d C. And the US Virgin Islands. So your deadline for purchasing a ticket is nine to forty five tonight. That's your deadline. So I'm just saying,

I'm not telling you to go play. And by all means, man, if you're if you're struggling to pay your bills, you shouldn't be. You shouldn't be throwing the money away on stuff like that. But that's that's your call. I'm just letting you know it's out there and say, if I have a couple of bucks later and I personally love the discussion if you got if you hit something like this, what would you do with the money. I couldn't wait

to stroke the tithe check. That would be so cool to give that money to church and see what God does with that. There are various ministries my wife and I support. I would love to see that doled out. That would be so cool, so cool. You know, there's a scripture that says the wealth of the wicked is stored up for the righteous. I'm just saying, twenty seven minutes past the hour, come back with the big stories, big stories for the press box. Thirty five minutes past

the hour, let's get to it. If you're just joining us, on Prestony's Jose first debate is tonight. I don't know if I should take a bunch of time with this tomorrow or not. We have to cover it, don't we. But I mean, are there gonna be highlights or are they all gonna be low lights? What are we gonna have to deal with? I mean, I'm certainly not staying up. It's nine o'clock, it's starting. I gotta be up at

four am. That's just not that's just not happening. So I'll come in the morning and I'll give it a listen and pull a couple of things here and there, I suppose, But are you interested? No notes? Hour and a half to two commercial breaks. We mentioned yesterday Liz Cheney doubling down despite what she really thinks of Kamala Harris. That's how much she hates Trump. Dick Cheney as well.

Tulci Gabbard was with Tucker Carlson last week, had this to say about Dick Cheney, in particular supporting Kamala Haras.

Speaker 3

I have a very simple message for my Democrat friends, my independent friends, those who may not be sure about who they're voting for in this election. Dick Cheney has just made the choice very clear. A vote for Kamala Harris is a vote for Dick Cheney, the architect of everything that has gone wrong in the Middle East for the last few decades.

Speaker 1

And so it's.

Speaker 3

Interesting because if you listen to the New York Times or some of the other mainstream media, they're saying, oh, you know, don't expect much from Kamala Harris in the way of policies and details and plans, and we're not going to know much about what kind of president she's going to because she doesn't have much time. They're conveniently ignoring the fact that she's been there working in the White House last three and a half years alongside Joe Biden.

She's been the last one in the room, according to her, as these big decisions are being made. But we look at who she says. Her response to the Dick Cheney announcement today was that she was honored to have his endorsement. And we got military veterans in the.

Speaker 1

House, got a lot of you.

Speaker 3

Who probably served in the Middle East like I did. And so it sickened me, Tucker to read those words today, both from Dick Cheney, Liz Cheney and Kamala Harris because we have people who we care very much about who were killed in those wars because of Dick Cheney. Kamala Harris has told us all we need to know about what kind of commander in chief she would be. And I don't know about you, but I would not trust her for a moment with the lives of mine brothers and sisters in uniform.

Speaker 1

There you go, Tulsea Gabbard responding, And so the evidence is mounting here who we really are dealing with? You know, there is a uniparty. They're the extremists on the left. They're the rhinos on the right that really aren't on the right, but they form this uniparty and they're going to sell this country out. They already have on a lot of different fronts. So you know, I don't know what would compel anybody to watch the debate. I mean, really,

is anybody going to have their mind changed? I suppose there's a chance that there are people that will listen to Kamala and go, sweet God.

Speaker 2

No.

Speaker 1

I hope Trump minds his manners as he did in the first debate with Biden. It served him well. I hope Trump doesn't get personal, it serves no purpose, so we'll see. Still nothing on the interstate shooter. He has a military background, though, texted his ex wife that he was going to kill a lot of people then kill himself. So my prediction that he was going to be off in the woods somewhere and with a gunshot to his head perhaps is the likely ending here and why he

has him been found. But we'll wait and see. Forty one minutes after the hour back with more, of course, forty two minutes excuse me, sorry, past the hour, by the way, just saw this little bullet. John Kirby, Pentagon spokesman Hamas keeps changing the terms of the exchanges of the hostages, and you speak, you people are supposed to be the intelligent ones. Why do you think that is? Okay, I'm gonna play the part of AMAS for a second here, all.

Speaker 4

Right, um, yeah, we'll exchange prisoners. Yeah, they're prisoners. You might call them hostages. We don't call their prisoners. So we'll exchange I'm sure, yeah, uh one of yours for like fifteen of ours? Okay, ten? All right, do you okay, wait a minute, we need to think about this for a second. Hey, do we have any left. How many four? Okay, hang on, all right, here's here's the exchange rate. Well, uh, we'll well, we'll give you one of yours in exchange

for like four hundred of ours. No, that's how hard. That's the deal. Sorry, Okay, you don't want a deal, that's fine, Right, I'm telling you there are not many hostages left alive. Now they there may be intelligence, it says otherwise. I'm just saying.

Speaker 1

If you're if you're there running the bluff for Hamas, you're stalling, you're doing everything possible to stall, because you know what's going to happen. The second they find out their peeps are dead, you know it's over. So you're stalling. You're dragging this out to try to get it as much as many of your people, your leaders, your terrorists, wannabes, your official bad guys out telling you I'm John and Kirby.

They're just changing the term. Oh you don't say, well, how about that Professor Harley Davidson, All you Harley lovers out there, what do you think of what's happened to your brand? Your company? It's gone woke on you. The German born CEO and board chair joking zeits yoachin zeits whatever. I don't know how you pronounced his first name. We're trying to take on traditional capitalism and trying to redefine it.

What the heck does that mean. Meanwhile, there are others out there, like a lady who used to work for Levi Strauss. She got pushed out because she she condemned the schools being closed during COVID. She came out of the corporate woke tunnel founded her own company, XXXY Athletics. Good on you, Jennifer Say. She said, it's business one on one. You don't disrespect your core customers. You'd think after bud Light businesses would be and I mean we're

talking iconic American business. First of all, you should have your head examined for bringing in a German to run your all American company. No disrespect to the Germans out there.

I got some German ancestry in my world too. I'm just saying if you have an all American brand like Harley, that is I mean we're talking Sam Elliott kind of spokesman type voice, Harley Davidson, right, I mean Harley God, people name their sons Harley because it's so American you don't hire a German to run an American company like that. Surely there's an American somewhere that's got the chops to

run that company and keep its brand solid. But just make mental note, Harley could be one of those companies that. Just what I wonder is if it got so bad, what American would step forward to try to bail that thing out and get it back. See here's the thing. If it happened, it would immediately explode. The brand would blossom because it's lacking today. The buy American, be American,

support American branding disappeared when Trump left office. Remember there was a four year window there where money was coming back into the country. Businesses were coming back into the country, money was being repatriated, and it was proud to be made in America. It's all just kind of because we're not we're scared. Forty eight minutes after the hour, two Trials. We'll update you next fifty three minutes after the hour

The Morning Show with Thruston Scott Interesting. Darryl Parks running for state Senate in much of our listening area against incumbment Corey Simon Parks, a Democrat. Simon a Republican Parks is being called out for lying on his that's running right now stating that Corey Simon voted for the six week abortion ban. He did not. That's factually just wrong.

He did not. Corey believed that he was representing his district and voted to keep by voting no. He voted no against the six week ban, believing the twelve or fifteen week band that was previously in place was appropriate because he said it represented the vast majority of the people in the district that he represented. You can take fault with that if you want. It doesn't matter to me because the issue at hand is Darryl Parks just

outright lying because he is now. I fired off a question to his campaign to ask him to come on the show and explain himself. He's not going to accept, but I want to know why he would be supporting full, unrestricted abortion and eliminating parental approval of a surgical procedure as significant as an abortion on a minor child. I don't know if you realize that if you vote for Amendment four, you are voting for unrestricted. No law shall prohibit, no law shall restrict, is what it says. And then

the rest is filled with ambiguity except for this. Parental notification remains unchanged. Yeah, but what's left out is that what's stripped away is parental approval. All notification means is you'll get a text saying your kid's getting an abortion. You won't know where, you won't know when, You'll have no say. And keep in mind, if you've got a minor child, you got to you gotta get permission to give him an aspirin, a tail in all at school.

And I'm not allowed to do it without you giving permission, permission, not notification permission. Anyway. Two trials coming up. Judge has the trial of Idaho quadruple murder suspect Brian Coburger. It will not be in Moscow. Moscow, Idaho, where the crime was committed, will not host the trial. Don't have an announced location. Next week the trial begins for Donna Adelson, accused of being part of the plot to murder her

former son in law FSU law professor Dan Markel. There have been four convictions so far, one by plea, three by trial. Her son life in prison. He's now in South Dakota. Jury's selection begins on Tuesday, but Thursday this week is her final chance to agree to any kind of Polea deal, So there's going to be one. It has to be set by Thursday this week. That's the final pre trial hearing. So away we go. All right, we're going to be back with our number two and

uh boy, wait to hear what's happening in Ohio. There are two ways a community becomes ground zero for illegal immigration. One you elect to liberals that put in place policies that open the door and turn a community into a sanctuary community, as has happened in places across the country. Or you live in a state that is run by Republicans and you're targeted by the Biden administration and they intentionally dump them into your cities and states. It's a

form of warfare. Welcome to the second hour of the Morning Show with Preston Scott and Prestony's Hose and I wanted to take some time to talk about it. It's been a subject in some of our family discussions in the last few days. What's happening in Springfield, Ohio. Springfield is to the west of Columbus. It's a little north

and a little east of Dayton. It's kind of in between a little closer to Dayton than Columbus perhaps, But in recent years, since the pandemic, estimates are twenty thousand, Haitians have settled into a community of fifty eight thousand.

Think about that. Just think about ratios right there, roughly sixty thousand and now a third of that has been added to and so you've got a population of now roughly eighty thousand, and a quarter of the population is Haitian and they are Haitians living under temporary protected status. They've been flown into the country and bust all over thousands all across the country, in this case in Springfield. At a recent City Commission meeting, one resident named Noel had something to share.

Speaker 5

Noel, thank you.

Speaker 2

I live at four twenty six Northwestern Avenue. Miss Skinner, who I'm not trying to put on the spot is my neighbor.

Speaker 6

Just talk to me, ma'am.

Speaker 1

Thank you so much.

Speaker 2

And I'm done with what I'm seeing. It is so unsafe in my neighborhood anymore. I have the homeless that we're trying to camp out, and I have made concessions with them, and I try to help them the best I can to keep them from trying to squat on my property. But it is so unsafe. I have men that cannot speak English in my front yard, screaming at me, throwing mattresses in my front yard, throwing trash in my front yard, and I can't. I look at me. I

weighed ninety five pounds. I couldn't defend myself if I had to. My husband is elderly, and last night, after living in this home for forty five years, he said, no, well guess what it's time to pack up and move. He said, we can't do this anymore. He said, it's killing both of us mentally. I don't understand what you expect of us as citizens. I mean, I understand they're

here under temporary protected status and you're protecting them. And I understand that our city services are overwhelmed and understaffed. But who's protecting us? If we're protecting them, who's protecting me? I want out of this town. I am sorry. Please give me a reason to stay. Thank you.

Speaker 1

At a meeting this week. It was this week, young man Anthony Harris, twenty eight. I see what's going on in this sh streets, and I see you guys sitting up there comfy and chairs and suits. I really challenge you guys to get out there and do something. These Haitians are running into trash cans, they're running into buildings,

They're flipping cars in the middle of the street. I don't know how like y'all can be comfortable with this comment after comment after comment comment communities all over the country. I told you what happened in a commentary in I think it's called Silicaga, Alabama, where the head of the city council gabbled the meeting closed after basically calling residents who complained about the Haitian illegal immigrants taking over the community,

called the residents bigots and racists. There's more to this story. I'm gonna share it next ten minutes past the hour. What's happening in Springfield? Brace yourselves, you mayor of Realville. It's the Morning Show with Preston Scott. I want to bring you back to the Springfield, Ohio issue because it's been going on longer. They watched a trickle turn into a stream, turn into a torrent, and this is what happens.

Starts out with just a few and when a city or community don't deal with the problem on the front end, they don't have solutions in place. They don't have bus tickets, airplane tickets. Whatever they got to do. Out word gets out. Listen to this encounter in Springfield. Police cameras, body cams.

Speaker 7

What did you do? Why did you kill the cat? Smile for me? Did you eat that cat? Did you eat it?

Speaker 8

Now?

Speaker 7

Why'd you kill it?

Speaker 4

Did you?

Speaker 1

Guys?

Speaker 4

See all this?

Speaker 1

No, we caught up and.

Speaker 7

She was just laying here with you.

Speaker 1

Yeah she was.

Speaker 7

If you call your meane society, see if they'll come pick those cat up.

Speaker 4

It's defeased.

Speaker 1

The Haitians are if you do not know inside Haitian culture, there is a very strong inclination to voodoo and ritual worship inside of that, and certainly not all Haitians. And there's some wonderful people, and I'm quite certain there are listeners of this program right now that are of Haitian ancestry or from Haiti. And there are some just wonderful people. It has been a ravaged country for decades, but part of that culture, as evangelized as that nation has been,

is deeply entrenched voodoo. Well in Springfield, dogs, cats, ducks, geese are all going missing. They're all being taken. They're all being trapped, they're all being caught, they're all being beaten and consumed. One guy was pulled over allegedly in his trunk, a trunk full of cats, living or dead, I can't tell you. Probably creating a black market, probably selling those cats to some of the twenty thousand Haitians inside.

Let me tell you what happened Venezuela. In Venezuela for a host of reasons, but most notably because the socialist government, the people on the top of the ladder, the government officials, military leaders, and so forth, are always the ones that get whatever they want. They just acquire it, They just they take it, and then they divide what might be left over among everybody equally, because that's what socialism is equally,

as long as you're not in their realm. See, they get what they want, and they leave what's left over to supply just enough workers to keep producing what they want. That's how socialism works well. In Venezuela, the economy was so bad, the starvation so intense, the lack of food and basic rations so limited, that the people of Venezuela ended up emptying out the zoos because they killed all

the animals in them. That's Venezuela today today. It's not back in the twenties or thirties or forties or eighteen hundreds. That's today. And so I pointed out in my commentary yesterday, this is what you're facing across the country if you give Kamala four years. I can't even believe I'm having to say things like this to speak out loud the importance of what's coming in November in your election. This shouldn't be close. This should be a landslide, more than

double digit win for Donald Trump. Is he perfect? Heck no, is he flawed? Absolutely, but he's infinitely better than Kamala Harris, and our country will be infinitely stronger, to me, infinitely more robust. We will put an end to this stuff and we will begin sending people back home, because that is what is required. Simply put, that is what is required. Seventeen minutes past the hour. By the way, the last time Trump got elected, he actually did what he said

he would do. All right, thank you to a listener of the program updating me on the Harley Davidson story. That's good news. Releasing a statement. Let's see when was this this was just a couple of weeks ago, renouncing DEI and other controversial company initiatives statement, it's critical to our business that we hire and retain the best talent that all employees feel welcome. That said, we have not

operated a DEI function since April twenty twenty four. We do not have a DEI function today, We do not have hiring quotas, and we no longer have supplier diversity spend goals. So they were all in wow. Harley reassessing employee training initiative sponsorships while refocusing on its most loyal customers.

As a consumer brand, we will focus exclusively. I'm growing the sport of motorcycling and retaining our loyal writing community in addition to support we already provide to first responders, active military members and veterans, said Jesse Clay, a former Navy seal longtime Harley writer from Colorado. It's great, but they never should have changed in the first place. Let's see what actually happens. So yeah, well now we'll see

good if you've done it, good on you responsive. But let me point out and for those of you just tuning in last hour, end of the hour, I talked about how Harley was on the radar. Businesses that had gone woke and was losing they were losing market share because of it, and maybe not even so much market share, is just losing people from the whole world because there are people that it's hardly or nothing, and for some it would be nothing. They're just not going to go.

Speaker 9

Now.

Speaker 1

I think there are a lot of great bikes out there. Harley clearly is in a world by itself at least. You know, I'm not a motorcycle officionado, but I followed trends and so forth, and so I can see where there would be people it's like, well, if Harley's gone this, I guess I'll just I'll do something else. I'll go into a new hobby, or I'll spend my time or money in doing something different. They won't buy a different kind of bike because they're loyal to Harley. So we'll

have to wait and see what happens. This dis though, But here's the other side of this. Not only do we now step back and hope for the best good, but this also shows the power of the consumer. You can shape outcomes, you can push back against DEI We talked to Sal NEWSOH last week about consumer's defense and the efforts to push back on DEI. We've got Justin Haskins next hour. I don't know if it's going to be one of the big issues. It likely will be diversity,

equity inclusion. These policies are killing America because they go right back to not judging by character and qualities and standards, but judging based on the color of one's skin or the way one looks. It's absurd. You can stop DEI dead in its tracks, whether it's the Biden administration and the federal government, whether it's local, whether it's in the state, whether it's in the private sector, public sec. It doesn't matter.

You can stop it if you care. Twenty seven minutes past the hour, Big Stories in the press box next WFLA what we're already halfway through. It's not possible. It's not possible. Morning Friends, Ruminators, Near and Far. It's The Morning Show with Preston Scott and Preston he Is Jose last hour played Tulsea Gabbard reacting to the news that Dick Cheney's endorsed Kamala Harris. That tells you all you need to know about both Kamala and Dick Cheney and

Liz Cheney. Liz has turned into one of the most despicable people. God loves her. I love her. I justus don't like her. What I mean four years ago, she's telling you what I rotten us. Senator Kamala Harris is her evil plans for this country and we're not gonna let her get away with it. And now she's a singer. I asked yesterday, okay, as Kamala Harris suddenly become a conservative or has Liz Cheney's soulder soul to beelzebup. It is absolute Trump derangement syndrome at its worst finest. I

don't know. Tonight is the debate. I'm in a bit of a quandary with the debate because I think it would be interesting to watch just from the standpoint of Trump has been practicing with Tulsa Gabbard. Now that means he is over prepared, because Tulsi Gabbard would have to be drunk, drugged, and lobottomized to represent Kamala Harris appropriately. Kamala acts like someone who has a drinking issue. She may not, I'm just saying that's how she acts. Frequently.

That's why there's all the memes and the jokes about it, because she comes off drunk. I don't know if she is or not. I don't know if she's got a drinking issue. Maybe she does, maybe she doesn't. I don't know. But one thing is for certain. She is not very bright.

Speaker 10

People have said, oh, don't underestimate her in the debate form. She's not allowed notes. She's gotta do this from her brain. And that's why the staff is out there saying, you know, you can't put much into these kinds of debate performances. She hasn't even said a word, and they're out there putting out fires. Now, if Trump takes Tulsa Gabbard's advice and folks becaus is strictly on policy, he will come

away with a huge win. He's got four years of executive experience where he can point to the statistics, the numbers, the literal rising tide that lifted all ships. She has nearly four years as the next to commander in chief as the vice president, and everything that's happened and gone south is on her watch. She's been there, and she has bragged about being an important part of all of the big decisions.

Speaker 1

It would be interesting to watch from the standpoint of does Trump follow the advice and maintain discipline. Let's be honest. Yeah, it's a little bit for some of you. It's a little bit like watching a demolition derby or NASCAR back in the days of bumping and grinding, because you're hoping a little bit of a wreck, right, You're just kind of like, we watch to see a crash. We don't want anyone injured, but we watch to see a crash. And so I I, you know, I don't know if

you'll watch. I don't. I don't know. There's a part of me that's like, I know what Kamin's gonna do. She's gonna screech and say nothing word salads. I just want Trump to be disciplined. If he is, he will kill it. Other big story we gotta touch on real quickly. Here suspected shoot her in Kentucky, still on the hunt, on the run. He does have a military background. Apparently texted his ex wife, gonna kill a lot of people and then I'll kill myself afterwards. That's what he texted.

I'm I'm suspecting you will. They will find this guy dead somewhere. The bears will find him, the birds will find him. They'll they'll, they'll figure it out. Forty minutes after the autum, back with more here in the Morning Show with Preston Sky. Because I want to I want to do a public service. Best. There's the best I can here, Jose tell somebody, tell people something interesting about yourself, about myself. Well, well, yeah, about yourself. Would you please

put the microphone in front of you. Yes, I I have no hair. I have a lot of facial hair because don't have hair on my head. And uh yeah, I like long walks on the beach. Look to cook now on my own business. There you go, there you go. All right. Now, we had someone call in and without the inflection, what did she say? Oh, she wanted you

to alert the audience of what bar exam you passed? Okay, okay. Now, I don't drink, and if she's not been a listener of the show, I don't go to bars, and so I don't know what kind of bar exam you're talking about, lady. But if you're talking about the legal bar exam, no I haven't passed one. And personally, I suspect Kamala hasn't either. I know that they say she has, But honestly, think about, for example, just some of the greatest hits.

Speaker 5

Do you know, okay, a bit of a history lesson.

Speaker 8

Do you know that women were not the women's teams were not allowed to have brackets until twenty twenty two.

Speaker 1

She's talking about the NCAA Women's basketball tournament, and she's a flaming idiot because bracket. Did you know that? Women? Did you know that? Did you know that? Lady? They've had brackets for a long time, maybe a decade and a half, two decades. It's not some great new advancement. It was when they decided to expand women's basketball into the format of the men's tournament and had full brackets. But let's not stop there. Let's talk about this greatest hit.

Speaker 8

So here's the thing.

Speaker 6

Who doesn't love a yellow school bus?

Speaker 1

Right?

Speaker 8

Can you raise your hand if you love a yellow school bus?

Speaker 1

Right? Right?

Speaker 8

Just there's something about and most of us, many of us went to school on the yellow school bus.

Speaker 1

Right, all right, let's just now most of us went to school on a yellow school bus, right, And then says.

Speaker 6

This, today, ninety five percent of our school bus buses are fueled with diesel fuel, which contributes to very serious conditions that are about health and about the ability to learn.

Speaker 1

Didn't she just say she was on all those yellow school buses. I think she was on a short yellow school bus. Now we could just chalk that up as well. There you go, that explains it. Let's listen to her classic breakdown of the Russia Ukraine incident on the Morning Hustle.

Speaker 5

So, Ukraine is a country in Europe. It exists next to another country called Russia. Russia is a bigger country, Russia is a powerful country. Russia decided to invade a smaller country called Ukraine. So basically that's wrong.

Speaker 1

And then this classic with les your Hoholt of NBC News, Okay, do you have any plans to visit the border at some point?

Speaker 8

You know we are going to the border. We've been to the border. So this whole, this whole, this whole thing about the border. We've been to the border. We've been to the border. You haven't been to the border, and I haven't been to Europe, and I don't I don't understand the point that you're making.

Speaker 1

On I rest my case. Forty six minutes after the hour, It's the Morning Show with Preston Scott. Welcome to The Morning Show with Preston Scott. Manly minute, just a little bit Justin Haskins next hour from the Heartland Institute. We also have Money Talk next hour with Howard Eisman. So we've got a lot to get through. Keeping an eye on the tropical storm France scene, likely to turn into

a hurricane sometime today or tonight. As of now, the track is going to dump a lot of rain along the eastern coast of Texas, and then it's going to bear down on Louisiana and into Mississippi and then up beyond there. It's going to be a lot of rain in Tennessee, Kentucky, Illinois, Indiana, parts of Arkansas as well. But we're looking at a landfall estimated into Louisiana around

seven o'clock on Wednesday, but that could change. Obviously, we're still just a little bit out and it could speed up, slow down. So that's just something to keep an eye on, as well as the other storm out there in the Gulf. They're looking at storm surge that is going to be in the five to ten foot range along Louisiana's coast, so that's significant. Hopefully it won't slow down, you know,

it's one of those things. The slower the storm moves, more gains energy and you've got to build up of storm surge at that point, and that's not necessarily good. So we are not necessarily going to be hit by the storm itself, where we're going to have rain coming along late today, tomorrow, we'll we'll certainly see rain tomorrow and Thursday would seem associated with a storm. And then we'll just start to pay attention to what's going on to our south and into the east, into the tropical basin.

We'll keep an our eye on them. We're watching for you, So just try to get ahead of things. If you need supplies, get them. No matter where you live in Florida, you're not far from a coast. Doesn't matter where you are in Florida, you're you can be impacted by any hurricane that comes to this state. So get your batteries, your water, get a transistor radio so that you can listen as needed. Should you need some emergency information and need some details. It's time for a manly minute. Remember

my friends mail by birth man by choice. No I did not say mail by choice, man by choice, because, as we all know, just because you're born male doesn't make you a man. You know what I'm saying. You know what I'm saying. Eh, exactly, you know exactly what I'm saying. So these are tips, ideals, thoughts, virtues to pass on to your son. Ready, let's bring back the art of carrying a handkerchief, having a handkerchief. Get a packet of three, right, you can be bold, I have

a color. Now, don't get a bandanna, it's too big. Handkerchief fits nicely in your pocket and you can use it for all kinds of things. Don't hand a used handkerchief to a lady to use. Massive mistake. You teach your son that if there's a need for a handkerchief, you hand it to a lady with the words, this is a freshly laundered hand handkerchief. Would you like this? That tells them that it's not been used and it's

available for them to use. Have them keep it. Handkerchiefs are cheap, but it was once a gentlemanly thing to have and to offer and to use. I'll point out, how about a handkerchief? How about a hankerf chef, thank you very much. Instead of how about a handkerchief instead of your sleeve? You know same, So let's bring back the art of a handkerchief, and there your sons will benefit greatly and we'll bring back perhaps a bit of chivalry. Wouldn't that be nice? I don't care what ladies say.

They love it. I don't care they love it back with our three of the Morning Show with Preston Scott. Morning Ruminators, Ladies and gentlemen, men and women, males and females, only, boys and girls. We appreciate you joining us for the third hour of the Morning Show with Preston Scott. Did I ever think I would be living in an era where I would need to make such qualifications? No idea, it not. And it's great to be with you this morning.

Hose can you see over there in Studio one A. I'm here in Studio one B and I am joined by our friend from the Heartland Institute. He is justin Haskins. Good morning, dear sir, how are you.

Speaker 11

Good morning. It's been a while. I've missed our morning chats, our five am morning chats for me, I've missed them.

Speaker 1

Yeah, how in the world do you function without starting a day with with with me. I don't know.

Speaker 11

I don't I function one day a month at best.

Speaker 1

Thank you, Thank you, sir. I appreciate that. All right, I gave you the mission, and it's it's a daunting one because I think there are likely so many consequential things that will be impacted by the November fifth election between Donald Trump and now Kamala Harris. First of all, are you going to watch the debate?

Speaker 11

I will watch it. I probably won't watch it live, but I will watch it.

Speaker 1

Yes. Can I ask you what you would be looking for by watching, because I've been obviously I'm going to be in bed, sleep and getting ready for Theamar Show, but I'll watch it as well at some point too. But what would you be looking for?

Speaker 11

Well, to be totally honest, and this probably sounds pessimistic, but I have a theory about presidential elections, and they don't necessarily apply to all kinds of elections, but presidential elections. My theory is that the more likable candidate wins the election almost every single time. And if you go back through the history of presidential candidates and you really think about each of the candidates' personalities, and how they come

across the people compared to their opponent. The rule almost always plays out that way, the more likable candidate went, And so I think what I'm looking for tonight is who comes across us as being more likable, which really is not what these debates are supposed to be about. But unfortunately, I think that's how a lot of people in the middle and there's very small group of people in this country who still don't know who they're voting for.

I think that's how a lot of those people ultimately make their decisions, not even consciously, but I think they make it based on who they like personally, and that's going to be a big factor, I think in this debate and for the rest of the election. But this is really the only time maybe where we see both of them on the same stage at the same time, giving people the ability to really compare the two. And so that's the thing that I'm looking for. Who is more likable?

Speaker 1

I offered last hour justin that Telsea Gabbert has been working with Trump. We have no idea who if anyone's working with Kamala Harris, but I suggested that if he listens to her advice, does not get personal, focuses strictly on the issues and the policies of Biden Harris, and does not personally attack Kamla. He will win this debate hands down with the independence.

Speaker 11

I think that's one hundred percent right. I think the rules that they have for the debate were no. Essentially, their mics are turned off, they're not allowed to interrupt each other in real time. I think he's absolutely huge for Trump because I don't think he can help himself sometimes in these situations that helped him huge, which is so ironic because I think the left is the one that really wanted that initially with Joe Biden, and it played to Trump's advantage last time big in a huge way.

And this time it'll be the same thing. If he's not rude, if he's respectful, but he is firm and clear about what he wants to do, and he stays focused on how he's going to fix the mistakes, the broken economy, all of the problems, the embarrassing things that have happened overseas are the dangerous things that have happened overseas, and with Russia and Ukraine and Afghanistan, et cetera, and that all of that stuff is the result of the

Harris Biden administration that they're both to blame for it. I don't know how he could lose, truly, but if he gets sucked into these personal attacks and things like that, I think he'll come across as being a lot less likable and I think people are looking for a reason in the middle to vote against him. I think he needs to avoid that trap, and Kamala Harris is going to do everything in her power to try to pat him into that.

Speaker 1

Justin Haskins with me from the Heartland Institute. More to come here on the Morning Show with Preston Scott. See him all over, He's on Fox, He's on a lot of the networks out there. He is widely read and oh, by the way, writes a bunch of stuff with Glenn Beck. Justin Haskins with the Heartland Institute. Our guest, Justin, I tasked you with coming up with three things that were you think most consequential that will be determined by this election,

whether it's Kamala Harris or Donald Trump. And we understand Congress plays a significant role here, but just looking at the White House, what are the top three issues you think that are going to be impacted dramatically by this election.

Speaker 11

Yeah, So the first one's easy Supreme Court justices.

Speaker 1

This is huge.

Speaker 11

This was the most important thing that Trump did in his presidency. The Supreme Court right now controlled by conservative leaning justices. Not all of them are true conservatives, I think you could say, but six ' three, but there are the two oldest justices on the bench right now are Alito and Thomas, who are the two best justices that we have. Yep, Thomas is seventy six, Alito seventy four.

So if those two turn to the other side, if they leave and they're replaced by two far left wing, liberal activist judges, now all of a sudden, that six ' three majority for our side flips to a five four majority for the other side. That's a huge problem. Not only that, but there's been a lot of talk about the left trying to pack the Supreme Court, and I think that if they get enough votes in Congress to do that, and they have the White House, they

will pack the Supreme Court. And now I don't even know if you have a country in the wake of that. So I would say that is is number one justin.

Speaker 1

Let me, let me let me follow up on that. Does Trump need to do a better job of the vetting process? Should he fill vacancies? Now? I personally think if he doesn't win, Alito and Thomas are going to hold out if they can, for another four years. But that's just that's a guess if they can. But he's got to do better at picking true originalists than he did the first time around.

Speaker 11

Yeah. Absolutely, It's all about who you getting your advice from. And I think unfortunately, some of the justices that he picked last time around, you know, are not true originalists. And I really don't understand why why Republicans have had such a hard time picking good Supreme Court justices in my lifetime, but they really have struggled with that.

Speaker 1

YEP.

Speaker 11

And really, what you want is someone who's just like Alito and just like Clarence Thomas. That's what you want, and so you need to find advisors who share that vision and who will pick people just like that. But because because I don't think his picks the last time around were spectacular.

Speaker 1

Now if we get to a Trump presidency, will visit again about who might be good candidates. But for now, let's go to number two. YEP.

Speaker 11

Inflation the economy, the value of the dollar, all of that stuff, I mean, the Harris bid. The administration has been catastrophic for people, Wallets. I think anyone with common sense knows that, whether you're a Republican or a Democrat, historic levels of inflation stuff we haven't seen in forty or fifty years. CPI, which is not a good measure for inflation because it underestimates inflation, is up twenty percent,

thirty percent over just a few years. And so we're talking about everybody being poorer than they were when we started because wages have not kept up with that inflation. Kamala Harris has no plans that will help deal with that issue. All she wants to do is spend increasingly more money. She's even worse than Joe Biden historically when

it comes to spending. This as a reminder to people, she co sponsored co sponsored the AOC Socialist screen New Deal, not the Joe Biden version, the AOC version, the one that cost ninety trillion dollars, that had every crazy policy in the universe in it, including wiping out all the cows by the way, that was part of that that policy,

I mean crazy stuff. She is a socialist candidate. By all measures, she's a social candidate, and so I think if she becomes president of the United States, expect more spending, expect more debt, and as a result of that, more money printing and less value for your dollar.

Speaker 1

Justin Haskins with us. We've got one more segment to go. We'll get to the third most important issue. This upcoming presidential election is likely going to settle in one way, shape or form. Next on the Morning Show with Preston Scott, look at me being disciplined, Come on time. That never happens. Justin Haskins with me from the Heartland Institute. Justin the third item, all right.

Speaker 11

Number three is a little more complicated, but favorite issue of mine. Es G laws.

Speaker 2

Law.

Speaker 11

I got to fit in every time.

Speaker 1

Absolutely yeah.

Speaker 11

Social credit scoring system. That's what ESG is, Environmental social governance metrics. It's a social credit scoring system, a left wing one that they've been pushing all over the world, trying to transform society by transforming corporations and businesses and how they act and behave through the social credit scoring metrics. One of the biggest ways that the left is doing

this is through banking. So banks use these social Most people don't know this, but a lot of banks already use some version of social credit scores to screen out certain kinds of businesses to eliminate certain what they call reputational risks, which are really just conservatives involved in activist groups and things like that that they don't like. They started their banking conservatives and everything. So this is all part of this ESG movement. Well, Donald Trump has been

a champion of that issue for a long time. He's promised to stop that through federal regulation, stop banks from using these ESG scores. He's a big champion of it, and I think that Ron de Santis, of course, with Florida, probably the nation's biggest champion of that if Florida has one of the best anti ESG laws, actually the best anti ESG law in the country. But Trump is promising to take that to the federal level. When he was president, at the very end of his administration, he did put

regulations into place to stop this. And then when Biden came into power, one of the first things he did the very first weeks he was in office was eliminate that regulation that Trump had started to put into place. And so that's a huge, huge, huge thing, because you can transform all of society without passing the law, just by having these big corporations and banks all moving in the same left wing direction. Because if you can't have a bank account, if you can't get insurance, because insurance

is affected by this as well. If you can't do business with the biggest corporations because you don't have a good ESG score, then you have to adopt you can't survive, so you have to adopt those policies. And that's been going on now for over a decade, and it is one of the reasons why all these big corporations have gone woke in recent years.

Speaker 1

Yeah, it's interesting. We talked about DEI, and of course DEI is under the umbrella of ESG. And how ironic it is that we are we have gone back around to a time when we are supposed to judge people by the color of their skin, by their outward appearance, not by the quality of their work, not by the content of their character, but by these outward representations of whatever. And it's it's horrifying that we are now in a place where it's impacting banking and every major part of our economy.

Speaker 11

YEP, that's exactly right. DEI is a massive part of ESG. It's one of the big things that's been going on in that for a long time. And the reality is, for the left generally, the ends always justify the means. There is no such thing as a sort of universal moral principle that they're operating under. It's the ends justify the means. So DEI helps them right now, they're going to support it. If DEI stops helping them in the future, they won't support it. That's the way they do virtually everything,

and ESG is just a big toolbox. They can change the metrics anytime they want. It's a toolbox for transforming the country, and it's already happening. So it's not about stopping something often to the future. It's about stopping the transformation that's happening to our society right now.

Speaker 1

Wouldn't it be fair to point to the immigration invasion of this nation as an example, an absolute example of what we're talking about. I've been saying that the murders, the deaths of Americans at the hands of these illegals coming into our country, that it's accepted as collateral damage. It's acceptable because as you say, the means are justified by the end. So yeah, it's a shame that people are losing their life, but we're getting people into this country that deserve to be here.

Speaker 11

Look, if I think every conservative in the universe knows this is true. If the if everyone coming across the southern border was a die in the wool Republican voter the moment they got here, there is no way this would be happening. There is no way, and I think we all know that. There's if we were bringing in, if we were bringing in a bunch of like, you know, libertarians. Yeah, yeah, there's no way that this would be what the Democrats

are doing. They are doing it purely because the ends justify the means.

Speaker 1

Justin as always, we never have enough time. If you ever visit Tallahassee, you just got to do the studio thing, man, And.

Speaker 11

I've never I've never been, but if I do, I absolutely will take you up on that audit.

Speaker 1

We'll do two hours, great, unprecedented, I've never done that. That would be so much fun. Yeah, to just sit and chop up this stuff for a while. In the meantime, we'll settle for this and we're greatly appreciative of your time. As always, my best to your family.

Speaker 4

Thank you, same to you.

Speaker 11

Take care.

Speaker 1

Justin Haskins with us this morning Heartland Institute. He mentioned socialism he ought to know. He heads up the Stopping Socialism project at the Heartland Institute. Do you know the website stoppingsocialism dot com. Oh, check it out, stoppingsocialism dot com. That's our man, Justin. That's his work right there with his team, fighting a good fight and also co authoring books with Glenn Beck in his spare time. The Morning Share with Preston's Guy Money Talk in just a few minutes.

But first, I feel like I'm channeling my inner Karnak. If you Karnak the Magnificent, if you remember the Johnny Carson Show, The Tonight Show with Johnny Carson, he would put on the turbine and the black cape and he would he would hold up envelopes. Ed McMahon would be there and the envelopes would be hermetically sealed on the

doorstep of Funk and Wagnalls. And so he would break out the envelopes and would divine the answer and then read what was what was the question And the answer would be thirty nine to six, thirty nine, and Ed McMahon would go thirty nine to six, and Karnak would look over at Ed and go, that's what I said, thirty nine to six, thirty nine to six. Here's the question, how many times have Trump and Vance done press conferences and interviews compared to Harris and Walls thirty nine to six.

They're not sitting down and talking, and when they are, they're controlling it. Why. You know the answer. You know the answer. There is no doubting why. So we've got the debate tonight the Donald Kamala Harris. I'm going to predict this. I'm going to predict a good night for Trump because I'm just I'm hoping he's listening to Tulsa Gabbard,

who's a very sharp young lady. I don't agree with every one of her policy positions, but she's a heck of a heck of a lot closer to being a Republican and a real one than some of the rhinos that are claiming to be the Mitt Romney's of the world, the Mitch McConnell's of the world. And so she's advising Trump stay on policy. It's like the old Star Wars. Stay on target, Stay on target, Stay on target. Don't get baited into, as Justin talked about, don't get baited

in to personal attacks on Kamalin. Tim Walls, your vice presidential buddy jd Vance is going to handle tim Walls like a used piece of furniture. Kamala is going to self destruct because she will not have notes. Now, hopefully she's not gonna have somebody whispering things in her ears. But I'll be honest with you, there's a part of me that kind of hope someone is because she's not the type of person that can handle that. She's too busy trying to figure out what she's going to say,

let alone, channel somebody else and regurgitate it. So the debate is tonight, nine o'clock Eastern. We will discuss it how much tomorrow I would imagine it'll be a big story in the press box thing, little rapid react kind of deal reaction from the you know, all the different little watching parties that are out there, the focus groups.

So we'll have to wait and see. All right, forty minutes past the hour, Money Talk, Howard Eisman on Deck on the Morning Show with Preston Scott time for money Talk. Investment advisor Howard Eisman joins me with enhanced financial services, securities and advisory services offered through NBC Securities Inc. And let me finish. Member of Findra and SIPC. NBC Securities Inc.

Is a holly O subsidiary of RBC Bank USA. Benji's expressed or not those of NBC Securities Inc. Or iHeartMedia on appropriate matter, seek professional tax and or legal advice. And so Howard, good morning, Welcome, How are you?

Speaker 9

I am fine? How about yourself?

Speaker 1

Good good? Let's let's get right to it here. You know, one of the worst things anybody can have is regret. It doesn't matter what the topic is, but when it comes to money, I get the feeling that regrets can cause a lot of kind of downstream problems a.

Speaker 9

Lot of banks. That's right. So there was a recent survey done of US adults presston by Bank Rate and seventy seven percent of US adults that they have financial regret, and when they dove a little deeper in the survey, three quarters of those said the biggest regret is inflation and high prices, which is getting in the way of

what they want to accomplish. So that's been mentioned most often, and that is beginning to play itself out as the inflation figures are coming down, but nevertheless it's still problem number one.

Speaker 1

Well, let's talk about inflation for just a second. You know, there are a lot of people commenting about, well, the inflation number is down, but it's a down number against a massive amount of inflation that's already taken place.

Speaker 9

Yeah, And as a result of that, and I'm going to make a distinction for your listeners, okay, between the consumer Price Index that's the inflation rate, and that's running at about two and a half percent right now in the latest figures. But the Consumer Conference Board is looking at expectations. So the twelve month inflation expectations for the Consumer Conference Board has also fallen this past month to its lowest level since March of twenty twenty. But that

number is four point nine percent. And just to put that number into perspective, preston, since nineteen eighty seven, the average reading of the inflation expectations is five percent. It is an all time high actually, and this date will be familiar to your listeners, of just under eight percent in March. In June of twenty twenty two. So nevertheless, expectations areunning a good bit hotter than what the real current numbers are.

Speaker 1

How are iras doing right now.

Speaker 9

In general, Well, they've had a good year. In fact, it's been a good couple of bounces back years. If you look Preston at the S and P five hundred, that index posted a gain of almost twenty five percent as of the end of the second quarter, and it's probably running just below that right now. And the average IRA account balance or four ah one k balance as a result, has grown by fourteen percent and it's around one hundred and twenty nine thousand, And I'll take that

a step further. Preston Fidelity, big big firm did their quarterly retirement survey of IRA account balances and they pointed out.

Speaker 2

That of.

Speaker 9

There were there was an increase of six percent in millionaires and those millionaires and average account balances excuse me, running just under four hundred thousand. So it's been a good year for investors. In fact, it's been a good couple of years now for investors just in general.

Speaker 1

Of course, real quickly, we're just under a minute left. Are the mortgages that are that are locked in at the lower rates before we had this jump in mortgage rates. Are those benefiting the economy in any way, shape or form.

Speaker 9

Absolutely, absolutely so. If you look at the mortgages that were locked in at lower rates, Preston, that's provided a six hundred billion dollars boost to US consumer spending. And that's just since twenty twenty two. And that boost of six hundred billion ounce for almost two percent of all personal consumption spending. So as the Fed lowers rates, and we expect them to do that this very month to

get that started. Should those rates fall, say from seven six and a half seven percent down to five percent, I'm sure the Fed is hoping that that'll keep the consumer going a bit longer. The bottom line, I would say there's some clear signs now of consumers spending lesson having eating up their savings.

Speaker 1

Hard got to go. Thanks for the time today. Absolutely all Righty Howard Eisman with us this morning on the Morning Show with Preston Scott.

Speaker 8

Hi.

Speaker 1

Tomorrow we will discuss the debate.

Speaker 4
