Watching a little Olympic women's team handball.

Speaker 2

Great to be with you this morning. The Olympics are under way.

Speaker 1

The American men already lost in soccer to France. Not a surprise, but anyway, welcome friends. Thursday on The Morning Show with Preston Scott. I'm Preston, He's ose and it's a delay to be with you. Show fifty two to three. But who's counting today's program? It's going to be interesting. I'll explain in mere moments. Let's start with our verse today. Yesterday we went to Matthew five and talked about verse thirty the salt You are the salt of the earth.

In fourteen and fifteen and sixteen it says this.

Speaker 2

Jesus.

Speaker 1

Let's set the stage here. Jesus is the greatest of all teachers. First of all, he speaks to you and I in a way that we can understand. You don't have to. The Bible's not for theologians, though it is. The Bible's not for masters of divinity, though it is. The Bible's not just for great teachers of God's word,

though it is. The Bible is for you and me, and throughout scripture, Jesus approaches people and speaks to them in a language that they would understand, including those that are deaf, and so he's constantly teaching on different levels all at the same time. There's just there's nothing like the Bible. There just is no other book like it in the entire world. That's why it's called a living book. And he talks about you and I being salt, and then he transitions and says this, you are the light

of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden. Nor do people light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a stand, and it gives light to all in the house. Would you just for a second think about the actual application of that. When you turn on a lamp, you don't put a garbage bag over it. That defeats the whole purpose. You don't put it under a basket that defeats the whole purpose. In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give

glory to your Father who is in heaven. Couple things I want to point out. One notice, Jesus isn't saying you are the megahorn, the bullhorn of the world. You're the megaphone of the world. M said, you're the light. Why because first, light travels infinitely faster than sound. Secondly, sound can only travel so far. And what people say, whatever,

it's what people do that speaks to more people. That's why we're challenging each other here to live like a Christian if you're going to claim to be one, because that's what people they see you the other six days, not a lot of people, relatively speaking, see you. On Sunday ten minutes after the hour, We're gonna kind of tie this into our show.

Speaker 2

Next here in the Morning Show with Preston.

Speaker 3

Scott Unused Radio one hundred and point seven. Tell them UFLA.

Speaker 2

Doesn't I just want to make you stretch? Oh music, It just it says, good morning.

Speaker 1

We'll get back to that scripture and connect it to the third hour of the program here in a second, quickly. July twenty fifth, not a ton, not a ton. So if you want to be historic, today's a good day because there's not a lot in the American Patriots Almanac on July twenty fifth. It's funny how it just kind of ebbs and flows, and there are just some days that just say, hey, make history. Today in a good way. All right, We're not talking about being dumb, all right.

Eighteen sixty six, following the Civil War, President Andrew Johnson elevates Lieutenant General Ulysses S. Grant to the rank of General of the US Army, making him the first American officer to hold that rank.

Speaker 2

Come on.

Speaker 1

Telling you watch that mini series on Grant. It's incredible. Eighteen ninety eight, during the Spanish American War, US troops begin to land on Batto Rico. Do bristle when you hear someone talk about Puerto Rico.

Speaker 4

Huh A little bit, A little bit, yeah, Do not make the mistake of calling Jose Puerto Rican.

Speaker 1

Don't do it. I'm just saying, thank Hulk. Okay, thank Hulk, Thank doctor Banner and Hulk. Nineteen fifty two, Puerto Rico becomes a self governing commonwealth. And that interesting. In eighteen ninety eight, US troops begin to land on Puerto Rico during the Spanish American War on this date. And then they picked the same date nineteen fifty two for Puerto Rico to be declared a self governing commonwealth of the United States. And no, they should not have votes in

the US election I'm sorry. They just know we don't have votes in their election. Nineteen fifty six, the Italian ocean liner Andrea Doria sinks off Nantucket after colliding with a Swedish liner Stockholm. Fifty die, sixteen hundred and sixty are rescued.

Speaker 2

So there you go.

Speaker 1

Probably only because of the Titanic did they have so many rescued. Because lessons were learned after the Titanic. All right, third hour. Let me tell you what brought this up. I saw a video clip and and came across a story about Stuart Stevens. Stewart is part of the Lincoln Project. The Lincoln Project is made up of Rhinos who act a lot like elitist progressives and hate Donald Trump. They in fact, there's a guy who's from Tallahassee that's one of the principal leaders of it.

Speaker 2

He'll never come on the show. I've invited him. They won't.

Speaker 1

They don't want to talk to people that will push back on their narrative. They want no part of that. I invited mister Stevens after I heard his comments. I messaged him on his social media and I said, I'd love for you to come on my show to discuss because he claims that you cannot possibly actually be a Christian and support Donald Trump. And it is that type

of logic that sadly some people buy into. It is theologically unsound, it is patently stupid, and it ignores fundamentally the historical nature of Jesus and what he was really all about. So I decided I'm gonna let you listen to what he had to say. It's a short clip. I'm going to talk about it, and if you want to call in, I'm going to move everything out of the hour for you to call in. You're welcome to comment on what he said and what I'm saying and

going to say. But I'm not having any of this, and so I'm gonna do what I can to make sure that those of you who are Christians can reconcile your decision making process. Sixteen minutes after the hour, Steve Stewart joins us today, doctor David Harts, and so much more. Should come as no surprise that I am a I'm a bit of a junkie when it comes to golf, and I love watching videos on YouTube, just you name it. I like watching people that teach the game, that know how to teach the game, teach it.

Speaker 2

I enjoy watching some of the.

Speaker 1

YouTube creators, golf creators I've mentioned before, Rick Shields out of the UK. I'm still trying to get him on the show. He's just an engaging personality. He's really just a fun guy. He's got two and a half million followers for Pete's sake, subscribers. But i'm I'm I've been watching bryceon Deshamba, the US Open champion, and playing around of golf with the President Donald Trump. And Trump's golf swing is horrid, but he can hit the golf ball.

It's nothing to look at, but he gets it. There's there's a there's about a two foot three foot little thing on the you know, from the backswing to the to the follow through that if you get that right, everything else doesn't matter a whole lot.

Speaker 2

If you can get that part right in a golf swing. Trump gets it.

Speaker 1

Right and can hit it, and so it's just it's a fun video if you've not seen it. They're trying to break fifty from the far up tease, which means they can drive almost every green and so it's about making eagles and birdies and they're raising money for charity for the Wounded Warrior Project. I think it is, which thankfully has has cleaned its act up a little bit, it would seem. But if you're looking for something fun, it's a fun video to watch.

Speaker 2

But just because Trump is fun, he's funny. Anyway.

Speaker 1

Here's the headline. Scientists finally work out how greenland sharks live to five hundred years old.

Speaker 2

Did you know that? I didn't know that. Now, of course.

Speaker 1

You have to trust the science because none of us are around, right, there's no one that can possibly know.

Speaker 5

Well, I remember that shark when he was just a little pup. We were both we were both youngsters, and now we're both four hundred years old.

Speaker 2

No, I mean, yeah, how do you know? I don't know. How do you know? I don't know.

Speaker 1

Anyway, inside the story, they kind of figured out it has to have something to do with where they live. They live in depths up to down to I should say eighty six hundred feet into the ocean. You realize that that's more than a mile, that's a mile and a half more than a mile and a half deep. That's insane. And they figured out their metabolism. They're trying

to figure out how to help people live longer. I can't say that I would want to live that long unless I could maintain I mean, would you would you want to live long like that? I certainly wouldn't want to outlive my children, No chance in that. No, no, no, no, no, no, no no. But the idea of living that long. And I guess what they're figuring out is unlike any other animal living thing on the planet, these particular sharks, their metabolism does not change most most living things. As as

they age, their metabolism changes. They're not able to recreate, reproduce, I should say, sells fast enough and so eventually the aging process just kind of takes over and overwhelms the body.

Speaker 2

Not the case.

Speaker 1

They've studied tissue samples and they have found in sharks between the ages of sixty and two hundred.

Speaker 2

Again, how they're figuring they're two hundred. I mean, it's not like you can cart them.

Speaker 1

They've seen no cellular change at the cellular level in how they metabolize nutrients and anything else going on in their body. So a sixty year old shark metabolizes its metabolism works at the exact same speed and pace and efficiency as it's working at two hundred, which is mind blowing. It did a study of twenty three greenland sharks samples and saw no difference.

Speaker 2

They were stuck.

Speaker 1

So there you go, you know, And that led me to think about a long standing belief that sharks don't get cancer. And so there there was a thing. And some of you remember this shark cartilage. Studying shark cartilage because the key to beating cancer must be found there. Because sharks don't get cancer. Sharks get cancer. I have learned that sharks get cancer, even great whites. Great whites get cancer, they get tumors. So it appear that cancer

is the scourge of all living things. Another result of the fall, I suppose twenty eight minutes after the hour first Blush at the big Stories in the press box next.

Speaker 3

News Radio one hundred point seven double UFLA.

Speaker 1

His questions still remain and likely will for quite a while. Quickly, the latest on the attempted assassination of Trump. First of all, the shooter apparently was searching out information on the assassin of John F. Kennedy the day he registered for the Butler rally, so he clearly had this on his mind. He was interested in how far away the shooter was in Dallas, which is just an interesting little tidbit that

was new. That was Christopher Ray, director of the FBI, who I have zero trust in, was more forthcoming with information than the Secret Service, because the Secret Services is the agency that whiffed on this. Trump has been asked by the Secret Service to not hold any more outdoor rallies. Don Junior said that they're considering large indoor arenas, but the preferences to remain outdoors.

Speaker 2

We'll see if they take the advice.

Speaker 1

The remodeling of Kamala Harris is officially underway. One of the more ridiculous things that is happening is the effort to suggest that the whole borders are thing, because the border is such an exposure for the Democrats that conservatives and Republicans made up the term. She was never the borders are check this out what they're saying now, but then we're going to go back.

Speaker 6

This is the kind of thing that is playing out all over conservative media. I just want to do a little bit of record correcting.

Speaker 2

This is CNN.

Speaker 6

There's no there's not record crime right now. Number one, Harris was put in charge, as you said, earlier of combating the roots of immigration. She was not and is not the Borders Are, and.

Speaker 7

The Biden administration to task a Vice President Kamala Harris, with the issue of migrant crossings, naming her the so called borders Are.

Speaker 8

I've asked her the VP today because she's the most qualified person to do it, to lead our efforts with Mexico and the Northern Triangle and the countries that help. We're gonna need help and stemming the movement of so many folks, stemming the migration to our southern border.

Speaker 6

We've been to the border. We've been to the border.

Speaker 7

You haven't been to the border, and I haven't been to Europe. And I don't understand the point that you're making.

Speaker 1

Yeah, Axios is out there right now leading the charge. The Trump campaign and Republicans have tagged Harris repeatedly with the bordersar title, which she never actually had. Here's the problem for Axios. Their own reporters called her the borders are. It's it's recorded, it's it's it's the uncomfortable truth. Twenty twenty one, Axios Biden puts Harris in charge of the border crisis. The follow up article Biden's Southern Borders are ROBERTA.

Jacobson to step down. Harris replaced Jacobson, and inside the article it says why it matters because the number of unaccompanied miners crossing the border's reach crisis level. Harris, appointed by Biden as borders are, said she would be looking at the root cause of the drive migration. We're here to point out to you so that you do not buy in to the remaking of Kamala Harris. She is an extremist radical and oh, by the way, has still not been to the border. Forty minutes after the hour,

It's The Morning Show with Preston Scott. The Preston Show with Morning Scott. What forty two past the hour? I'm listening to some commentators say it's a mistake for Republicans to point out that Kamala Harris was a DEI vice presidential pick diversity equity inclusion, that she was picked because she's black and female.

Speaker 2

Fair enough.

Speaker 1

Let's go back in time and let's look up what Joe Biden said when he was running for president. Before the debate with Donald Trump, he gave a speech in Philadelphia alongside Kamala Harris, quoting to me, the values of diversity, equality inclusion are literally, and this is not kidding the core strengths of America. This, by the way, is a White House transcript. That's why I'm proud to have the most diverse administration in history that taps into the full

talents of our country. And it starts at the top with the Vice President. I'm sorry, didn't he just admit that DEI is exactly why Kamala was picked, just saying these are uncomfortable truths. What Republicans have to do is remind Americans because Kamala Harris has done nothing for four years and I mean quite literally except make absurd comments, created word salads that not even the most potent dressing

can cover and and and eliminate. I mean, you can throw the most ridiculous ranch dressing by the gallon on her word salad and it's still word salad. You can't do anything to hide it. So what you have to do, and this is the thing, you have to go back to her time as a US senator. You have to go back to her time as the Attorney General of California. And what's interesting is there are things she has to dodge on both sides of this. There are lefties that

don't like her. There are a lot of allegedly Barack Obama doesn't think she can win, and that's why he's not going out there. But this from the Federal Reserve's Beige Book. Did you know one existed? I didn't know one existed. It's called a Beige Book. The beije book talks about where we are with our economy. And according to the Beige Book by the Fed Reserve, the US economy is showing signs of weakening, weakening labor market, declining

price pressures, pullbacks, and consumers spending slowing loan demand. Well, the Beige Book showed household spending remained little changed. Nearly every district of the Federal Reserve mentioned that retailers were discounting items, or the price sensitive consumers were limiting their purchases to bear essentials, buying fewer items, hunting for bargains, trading down in quality, buying generic versus name brands. Those kinds of things are what's recorded in the Beige Book.

Speaker 2

The evidence is overwhelming.

Speaker 1

Biden and the Democrats have killed this economy because, as I keep reminding you, they don't understand how a capitalist, market based, free market economy works. They don't understand it, they don't want one, and so economies suffer when they're run by democrats. It's just a rule.

Speaker 2

It just is.

Speaker 1

Show me a democrat city where where there's prospering, and I'll show you the aberration, because that's the exception, not the rule. Forty six minutes after the hour, gonna help you out if you have a fear of flying.

Speaker 2

Next Sporting Show with Preston Scott. You're mocking me, aren't you.

Speaker 9

Oh no, no, no, no, no no no.

Speaker 3

I used Radio one hundred point seven w UFLA.

Speaker 2

Steve Stewart.

Speaker 1

Next hour doctor David Harts as well, and in the third hour we're going to tackle a tough one. It's really not, but I'm they're trying to make it an issue again. How can evangelical Christians? How can Christians vote for Trump?

Speaker 2

Why? Why?

Speaker 10

Why?

Speaker 9

Why?

Speaker 2

Why? It's like listening to a Peanuts cartoon and the teacher, wha whatever.

Speaker 1

I'm gonna let you listen to what the Lincoln projects. Stuart what's his name, Stuart Sanders, Yeah, something like that. Stevens Stewart, Stuart Stevens, what he says, and we're gonna We're gonna tackle it. Take your calls if you want to call in, you're welcome to.

Speaker 2

Now.

Speaker 1

There are people, look I have there are things that make me uncomfortable. I don't like small spaces, some might say a little claustrophobic.

Speaker 2

Cave diving.

Speaker 1

Oh no, no no no no no no no no no no no no no. Going into caverns. I can go in as long as they're big, open spaces. I have no problem being underground or anything like that.

Speaker 2

But like I could be in a.

Speaker 1

Sub no problem. I have to have some space though, just just some space. There are people that have all different kinds of fears. There are people that have incredible fear of flying. But to illustrate how, and I forget who it was that said it, first, find a problem and there lies great opportunity. A guy named Brian Morris of Park City, Utah, had a profound fear of flying, and he was forced to face the fear when he was asked to officiate his best friend's wedding and so

he had to fly to our state to Florida. He looked for resources to help him handle his fear of flying. Found an online course, gave him some tips. He wrote stuff down on cards, quoting I started using three by five cards on the airplane. It was helping me, and then I started to get requests from other people that wanted to use them. Apparently aerophobia is what it's called. It affects twenty five million Americans. And so he partnered with a captain Emma Henderson, who was a pilot for

thirty years. She approached him after she saw him using cards on a flight, and so they put flash cards together. They made an actual set of reproducible printed flash cards. She wanted them to be technically correct, so, for example, they detail the flying process, everything from takeoff and extending to the landing. For example, you'll hear noises, and you and I don't think anything of them, but to someone with fear, every little noise, the flickering of the lights.

They explain all of this stuff in the cards. The flicker of the lights happens when the generator that's running the plane switches over to the power of the plane when they're starting the engines, and so that little switchover causes a flicker. They explain all that. They explain all the little noises, all the things, all of the processes, and they sell these things for eighteen ninety five for a deck of cards that'll help you process the whole

flight experience. It explains everything that's going on.

Speaker 2

Brilliant.

Speaker 1

See, that's what entrepreneurism is all about. Finding a need, finding a problem, meeting the need, solving the problem. I love it, absolutely love it. So first of all, if you have aerophobia, the resource is there for you. The Flight Deck Fear of Flying Flashcards is what it's called. Five minutes after the hour of the Morning Show with preston' skack, Good morning, It's Thursday, and that means it's time to visit with the executive editor of Tallassei Reports, the One, the Only, Steve Stewart.

Speaker 2

Hello, sir, how are you? Good morning? Preston good. Yeah, here, if only you could see the look on his face.

Speaker 1

Let's start with Equality Florida. Let's reset for everybody what the organization is.

Speaker 11

Yeah.

Speaker 12

So this organization that's been around for over twenty years started to in nineteen ninety seven. It's focused on equality with the LGBTQIA rights.

Speaker 1

I mean, the name basically says what it's about, right, And you know, obviously when you go to the website.

Speaker 12

It's about assuring rights for all people, you know, having different walks of life.

Speaker 2

The problem is is it's a left wing group.

Speaker 12

That is basically you know, when we did original research a couple of years ago on the issues here in leon King Schools, and I'm telling you this, I'm not exaggerating this. You know, people were shocked to find out that leon Kany Schools had an LGBTQ guide. Yeah, they didn't even know it existed. And this is because this is from the work of a Quality Florida that they integrate themselves into the school system, co ops, some administrative officials, and they.

Speaker 2

Wrote this guide that actually had provision.

Speaker 12

It said listen, you don't need to tell the parents about any kind of gender issues with kids.

Speaker 2

We need to keep that private. And that's whly do a lawsuit.

Speaker 12

Well, it led to the lawsuit, and but more importantly, it led to a change in policy when everybody sort of figured out what's going on.

Speaker 2

Sure, it was a deer Lake Elementary or.

Speaker 12

Deer Lake Middle school child who they had a gender transition plan on file without even telling the parents, and so that's sort of highlighted what was going on now I say that to give an indication of what a quality Florida is about. And so you know, during this campaign season there's these endorsements, and endorsements mean something, you know, because what happens. And I was always when I ran for office, was very careful of endorsements that I took.

And when when you do take them, you want to understand that you have to explain why you're taking them.

Speaker 1

Steve, Do candidates ever say I when someone endorses them that they're not aligned with that, I'm not aligned with that?

Speaker 2

Or I mean, do they say no to those endorsements? They listen.

Speaker 12

They don't publicly say that. What they do is go behind the scenes and say, listen, you rather not have your endorsement. And so, but the key is endorsements send out a lot of signals. Sure, and so this is a pretty big deal a quality of Florida who is very controversial. When they come out and endorse candidates, it is it tells voters a lot of what they need to know. Okay, So I mean, look, if that is

your issue, then these are your candidates fair enough? Yeah, And so I think in the race here against Lori Cox, and when I say against Loriy Cox, Commissioner Matt Low, the progressive wing.

Speaker 2

This is no secret.

Speaker 12

He is supporting Jack Porter, dot Hman Johnson, and Jeremy Rodgers. Jeremy Rodgers is running against Loriy Cox on the school board and she's the only Republican that's an elected office.

Speaker 2

So the Democratic Party is after her. And I think you know a lot. There's not There's really not.

Speaker 12

He hasn't come out with any issues or any problems with Lori Cox other than that she's a Republican, okay, and that she supports parental rights.

Speaker 2

Teacher unionists endorsed him.

Speaker 12

So that those are the things if you were going to the ballot box right now and you knew those things that Ron de Santis endorsed Lori Cox. She's a school you know, she support she supports public schools, but also wants parents to have choice, uh, to have us say right, yeah, And she supports parnal rights. And then you look on the other side with Jeremy Rodgers, who is being supported by Commissioner Matlow, endorsed by the Teachers Union and Equality of Florida. That's really all you need

to know to make your decision. And I think it's important to get that information out to voters.

Speaker 1

In case the teachers Union does not stand with the governor's decisions on parental rights.

Speaker 12

They do not, and they also do not you know, the issue with having chart you know, access their charter schools or their choices choice and so forth.

Speaker 2

Right, And so I said again, and you know, I've been talking about it for weeks.

Speaker 12

It has gotten so the media coverage of this, these campaigns have gotten so bad that I'm just wanting the facts to get out there. You may want to vote for Jeremy Rogers, So here's the people that are supporting him and endorsing him, and then here here's the other side with Lorie Cox. I'm just trying to get that information out. And that's what we're doing.

Speaker 2

All right.

Speaker 1

There's more, just a little more on equality Florida and their endorsements locally. We'll get to that next Here in the Morning Show with Preston Scott.

Speaker 3

On News Radio one D point seven double UFLA.

Speaker 2

All right, it's eleven past the hour. Steve Stewart with me.

Speaker 1

You can subscribe and get the only source first. There's just so many stories and things you would know nothing about unless you listen to our segments and subscribe to Tallassea Reports and that's tallasa Reports dot com. Steve Stewart with me, the executive editor Equality Florida endorsing Jeremy Rogers for the school board, also weighing in on another race that will be you know, impacted by the primary right, Jack Porter.

Speaker 12

They've also endorsed Jackport of the City Commission, which is again not a surprise if you look at Commission reporter and her travels, these conferences, these issues align exactly with the progressive movement. Sure, unlike mister Rogers who just sort of showed up and has filed to run commission. Report has been in you know, obviously it has been on the City Commission, So we there's not not really a guess the game of where she is if if you

read stories and you understand now the campaign's different. They're trying to put a different spin on it. Also, Carolyn Cummings, from what I understand, was endorsed by a Quality Florida, but that that race will not be until November, which is done the county and.

Speaker 1

It doesn't seem to be something that she's necessarily breaking about, not yet, and we'll see again the race is until November, so a lot of those November races are just trying to stay low until after the August twentieth primary, and that being that's to the county races Brian.

Speaker 2

Welch and his opponent, and then you've got Carolyn Cummings. Those races will be in November.

Speaker 1

One of the things that happens every election season is there are all kinds of little forums and gatherings where candidates, you know, share their thoughts. It would seem that some candidates say different things to different forums that might not necessarily be consistent with what they say in other forums.

Speaker 2

But let's talk about a recent one.

Speaker 12

Yeah, so one of the things we try to do is go and look at what happens in these forms of questions that are asked. And we've talked about this previously. Not a lot of follow up. I will tell you that the NIBA, the Network of Entrepreneurs and Business Advocates who had Donovan Johnson and Curtis richardson there very detail questions and follow up to sort of pen where you are.

But yeah, you've got to be that's sort of These forums are where you find out public statements and you can write stories around to public state.

Speaker 1

And you can compare those public statements from that forum to public statements at that form exactly.

Speaker 12

Now it's interesting to see which ones gets covered and which ones don't. There over the weekend and we're still trying to gather some more information on this. There's a group here in town called the Talented Community Action Committee, is called TAKAC violent I would say verbally violent, left wing extreme group.

Speaker 2

They're socialists. They admit to be in socialists. Uh.

Speaker 12

They show up to the City commission meetings in their red shirts. We played a montage of what they say.

Speaker 2

There's a lot of venom and vitriol.

Speaker 11

Are there.

Speaker 12

Chief revels are murdering cop TPD or killer cops slander. Uh, you know their pro Palstinian position to get up and talk about that. And so they want community control of the police the way they have in Chicago, where community as citizens of the Review Board can actually put police officers under oath.

Speaker 2

But that's against state law now it is now it.

Speaker 12

Is, But that is their position and obviously you know that that I think that law is being challenged in courts. The thing here is that nobody's ever spoken out against these uh, these groups, and they held they held a forum Saturday. Curtis Richardson and Rudy Ferguson did not go. I would expect that Curtis Richardson, who sits at the City Commission, has listened to their their venom, you know,

every every every other week. The cheap that did show up were Commissioner Jack Porter and DoD Hman Johnson and so Lewis Gilbert didn't show up Forlis. Gilbert did show up also, and I talked to him about the s day. I'm supposed to talk to him again about it today. You know, I almost give Lewis a pass, but I will talk to him because Didaman Johnson and Commissioner Reporter know who these people are yea, and they go to these meetings and to basically give credibility to a group

that calls Tallas who Police Department officers killer cops. And this isn't something that I mean, this is just recent I think really tells you a lot about the candidates. And again you would not know about this without Tallis reports because that's not going to get reported. And again, this is a group that I think is indication of what would happen if the Progressive has got the majority on the City Commission. They supported the defund the police

appointments to the Citizens Police Review Board. It's just a far left wing group that is, you know, pretty normal in some of these bigger cities.

Speaker 1

I think it's important, folks, for you to understand that the issue of police, they're totally out of touch with every area of this community, because everywhere in this community is asking for more policing, not less. And that's something you really need to remember when it comes time to vote. Sixteen minutes past the hour.

Speaker 3

On your phone with the iHeart radio app and on hundreds of devices like Alexa, Google Home, Xbox, and Sonos and Iheart's radio station.

Speaker 1

One final segment, information you will only find in the pages of Tallahassee Reports.

Speaker 2

Dot dot com. It's just a truth. Is Steve Stewart, the executive editor with us, and you're can give it a great example right now.

Speaker 1

Yeah, it was one of our lead stories in the news and it is the amount of money that additional money is going to be taken out of the local economy from increases in property taxes.

Speaker 12

Yeah, I mean I think and I was a little bit I knew about this but when you start looking at it in a chart. So there's seven local government entities that take your tax money property taxes.

Speaker 2

This is property taxes. This isn't fees and property taxes.

Speaker 12

And we've got a chart that was put together by the Propertyppraiser's office which was very informative of the seven entities and how much money they are collecting over last year based on the increase in property values.

Speaker 2

And it's forty million dollars in new property taxes. So that's a tax increase.

Speaker 12

Now, the question is did anybody try to roll back the rates so that they would have stayed neutral or only took up And that's none of the entities did.

Speaker 2

That's a big bagel right there. Yeah.

Speaker 12

And so the biggest two that are the beneficiary of the increase in property values is Leon County government, which is about nineteen million dollars in extra money this year, and then the school board which is twelve million. Now, I think it's fair to acknowledge that that the you know, these entities are going through the same things that you go through in terms of inflation, healthcare expenses that are going up. The issue is is you can analyze that

and say, look, you know, this extra money. You know, we could roll back the rate too, and they haven't done that. I think the school board is an interesting situation because there's very little talk about financing with school board twelve million dollars extra money, and again they've got to deal with inflation, just as everybody else does.

Speaker 1

But there's not a lot of growth in the student population. Well is there any growth in the student actually maybe backwards?

Speaker 12

Right, No, and so and this is the discussion that we're not really hearing a lot of because we don't have very competitive elections with them. With the you don't have outsiders who are saying, look, we need to close some schools. These are schools that are at you know, sixty percent. This is not efficient. Alvia Smith brought it up and then it's just sort of disappeared. We see

around the state, I mean everywhere, schools are being closed. Yes, Staval County is closing thirty five forty schools and so because of the migration out of the inner city to outlying counties. Right Saint John's County is building schools, which is south of Jacksonville. And so this is something that needs to be addressed. But you know, Leon county. It's a one party rule and a lot of these issues

really don't get get discussed. And I think that these tax revenues, understanding the money that's coming out, you know again, I think there could have been more of a discussion about possible rollback rates or cuts or at least verify or at least justifying where this money is going.

Speaker 1

I just think it's what stood out to me. And these numbers came from the Property Appraiser's office. Yeah, this is not this is not opinion piece. Yeah no, no, not at all. That's forty million additional dollar that will not be spent by consumers in the local economy, but will be spent by government. And it's based on and this is your your gribe about property tax. It's based on something that doesn't put more It's not like these

households are making more money, right. This is based on a increase in a property value, which is a non liquid ASSETEP And so you know, there's a couple of different issues there.

Speaker 6

Now.

Speaker 12

I we'll tell you, we've written stories about the city's budget, in the county's budget, They especially the county, they tell you exactly the revenues and they tell you where they're spending, at.

Speaker 2

The detail in what they do, and so anyway, it's again it's up to the voters.

Speaker 12

The numbers are there, so and this is this is, like you said, is a very interesting, very concise look of how the increase in values is taking more money out of the pockets of our taxpayers.

Speaker 1

A story that you can find to tell Astreports dot com. Some other stories dealing with the local economy.

Speaker 12

Yeah, it's starting to see a little bit of you see this national debate over the economy. Unemployment has spiked to three point nine percent here locally as the latest report, which would be June. Now that's a combination of we did add some jobs with the workforce is expanding still two three thousand more people working this month than a year ago, which is good news, but still, uh, you know,

three point nine is pretty high for Leon County. Jet Blue is pulling out of Tallasse internsl part, which is a shocker to me given the increase in passengers that we've documented. Now it's a turnstile. We have airlines come in. We have airlines. It's pretty amazing. And if you look at the if you look at the press leaves from Jet Blue. It's just happening all over the country. They they they operate on very thin margins. They close, they

move out of they come in and move out. You try to get to the most profitable locations, and so it's not just tall aassee.

Speaker 2

But again, well this just happened yesterday. We'll look into it.

Speaker 12

Is a little bit of a shocker given the numbers we've seen at the Atalas Airport.

Speaker 1

Good stuff as always, Thank you, sir, Thank you, Preston Tallassie Reports Executive Editor Steve Stewart my guest, twenty seven past the hour.

Speaker 3

The fastest three hours in media. And don't be surprised if you have a chuckle here and there. Just like that, It's the Morning Show with Preston Scott.

Speaker 2

Thirty five minutes past the hour. It is Thursday Show fifty two oh three.

Speaker 1

Jose can you see Hase can you see over there in Studio one A. I'm here in Study one B. Next hour. Christians voting for Trump. It troubles a handful of people. We're gonna talk about that.

Speaker 2

Big stories in the press box.

Speaker 1

Joe Biden himself referred to Kamala Harris as a DEI vice president two months ago, less than two months ago. So this idea that the narrative is off limits and bad for Republicans, all the GOP needs to do is go around and quote Joe Biden. Here, let me show you how this is just ahead of the presidential debate. In fact, it was a speech in Philadelphia, and this is the White House official transcript to me. The values of diversity, equality.

Speaker 2

Inclusion di yeah, de ei.

Speaker 1

Are literally and this is not kidding the core strengths of America. That's why I'm proud. That's why what what why?

Speaker 5

That?

Speaker 2

What's that? DEI?

Speaker 1

That's why I'm proud to have the most diverse administration in history that taps into the full talents of our country. And it starts at the top with the Vice President. I wonder if he meant Sam Brinton as well, you know, the cross dressing dude, the bald guy with the red lipstick and wears the dresses who is arrested for stealing had to plead for stealing women's clothing out of airports. I wonder if that's what he means by diversity and inclusion. Anyway, Now,

this is important stuff. Kamala Harris is is as extreme if not the most extreme member of the US Senate when she was a senator. Remember, she rated by nonpartisan groups left of Bernie and left of Elizabeth Warren, Axios, the Trump campaign, and Republicans of tag Harris repeatedly the borders are title, which she never actually had. Their own reporting called her borders are. BI didn't refer to her as being in charge of the border. She was the she replaced the borders are. What has she done on

the border? My god, she hasn't even visited The would be Trump assassin googled the Kennedy assassination details before the attempt. I am not convinced in any way, shape or formed that there were not others involved in this. I absolutely believe. I saw a video that was making the allegation that an assistant FBI director was behind Trump. Again, I don't know who it was, but it wasn't that person that they claim it was. Might be somebody else, but it

wasn't that person. But in that video, the guy says, that's that's the sun doing a weird thing on the top of the water tower.

Speaker 2

No it's not.

Speaker 1

No, it's not that's a person on top of the water tower. Now, why they're there, were they just I don't know, but there was somebody on the very top of the water tower. You can you can clearly see that this was a moving shadow that moved behind and then move back, which is why the sun explanation just it's it's ridiculous. There are just way too many questions, and the Secret Services is asking Trump to no longer hold rallies outside all right, so we'll see what he does.

Don Junior said, Dad likes him outside. He likes the big rallies outside. Would not like seeing them end. But they are looking at large indoor venues, basketball arenas in the like to hold events in the future. Secret Services to ask them please don't. And maybe they're just trying to cover for themselves because they know that there are, you know, plots out there and maybe I don't know.

Speaker 2

I don't know anyway.

Speaker 1

Forty minutes past the hour, Doctor David Hart standing by a little Optimum Health naturally.

Speaker 3

Next find more on his vlog wufla FM dot com. Keyword preston all right, time for a little optimum health naturally.

Speaker 1

Now the point of this segment, if you are new to the radio program, it's real straightforward and simple drill down to the cause of the things that are making you feel poorly, not put band aids on them, and treat the symptoms, which is kind of sort of what we do in traditional medicine these days.

Speaker 2

Joining is is doctor David Hart's good morning.

Speaker 11

Sir, how are you good morning, Preston doing well?

Speaker 2

You and I have a long history, and.

Speaker 1

You introduced me to the concept of this design clinical nutrition and nutrients, and it's made it just a huge impact in my life. I'm just curious though, in the world of supplements, what kind of variation exists.

Speaker 11

Oh, there's tremendous amount of variation, and in fact is still leading to this day, not regulated very well, even though we want to get into regulation. Then sometimes that kind of strangles the whole process. So it's kind of

a good thing and bad thing. But in that whole environment, it's just so important to kind of know what you're taking and also who is recommended you to take it, because so much of this stuff is profit driven, and we get so many ads on the radio on TV everywhere about supplements with claims, and then if they put

that real fast disclaimer, there's not evaluated. The FD A real fast at the end, then all of a sudden, you know, we take it and so and so the public has a hard time knowing really what works and what doesn't work, and that's a problem. And in fact, years and years ago they evaluated settlements that were just being selld like in Walmart and stuff like that, and it was amazing how much there wasn't in the supplement

what they said was on the label. And there was also a lot of things in there that wasn't on the label that was in there, and things some things that were heavy metals and toxic stuff, and so it gets kind of confusing, and the government for years is wanting to try to regulate it, and it's like, and we've kind of avoided that because we don't want somebody to control it. But at the same time, the consumer is going to have some kind of idea what to

take and what not to take. So well, one of the things I think are really important is first of all, trying not to take isolated nutrients because they can't mess up the body. And also they have a tency sometimes not to be quite as specific in treatment. They can be a little bit easier to control because you've got one substance, but the body doesn't work well when you just take isolated chemicals. It works well with natural type supplements. So one of the things you can do to avoid

problems is take natural environments. But if you do take something from a natural source, you got to know the source. I always I always say it's much better to have an integrative or functional mesment practitioner to help you with this because they work with it all day long. I mean, I did forty years and had literally hundreds of nutrients that we used, and so we knew them, We knew the we knew the product developers and manufacturers, so we

could tell what was good and what wasn't. And there really isn't any super way to do that, but there's a couple of ways to know by looking at certain certifications and if it has a USP label on it, that is something that can help you. And also if it's been evaluated by consumer labs and they'll have like a little decal on the bottom which helps. So those are some things you can look at to actually get an idea. But one of the best ways to avoid

problems is to do something that's natural. In fact, the best way to do is eat good food, but you know we've.

Speaker 1

Talked about the fact that foods increasingly have fewer and fewer nutrients in them.

Speaker 11

That's true, that's exactly correct, and that's one of the reasons we do need supplements because this food is processed, and because it's processed, it takes out nutrients. It's heated and flash heated, and that diaminates certain enzymes and proteins in the food and that's why we're having problems. There's no doubt about that, and so we do need it.

But natural sources are good, and if you can use some of the consumer guides that helps like crazy, and then also try to state the natural sources whenever you can, because they have more of the nutrients, enzymes, and vitamins that you need and you don't have to try to replace them with supplements.

Speaker 1

Good stuff. As always, doctor Harts, thanks so much for the time today. We'll talk again in a few weeks.

Speaker 11

Okay, thank you pressing, having a great.

Speaker 2

Day, Thank you, sir. Doctor David Hart's with us again.

Speaker 1

The whole point behind this nutrition segment, and it always revolves around that in one way, shape or form, is that you can do targeted nutrition to boost parts of your body that aren't functioning optimally because you're not getting the nutrients for it to function the way it's supposed to. And it then is a domino effect in your body and in your immune system and in all kinds of things going on.

Speaker 2

So take it to hearts hearts, get it tech. Sorry right there, I just forty six minutes after the hour.

Speaker 3

To subscribe to the Conversations with Preston Scott podcast on the iHeartRadio app. Welcome to the Morning Show with Preston Scott.

Speaker 2

Online.

Speaker 1

You're gonna have to transition to a log in dot gov account before before too long, you're gonna have to have either a log in dot gov or an ID dot me account to access your intel. All right, So I've just I've made you aware, just trying to touch you a little boon there and help you out. It's fifty three minutes past the hour road trip idea. This comes courtesy of a listener of The Morning Show with Prestin Scott.

Speaker 2

So I'm going to share it because I checked it out. It's good, good.

Speaker 1

In fact, I'm I'm heading there at some point the Two Tails Ranch in Williston, which is just a little south and a little west of Gainesville. So it's not a bad drive. If you're listening anywhere in Florida, it's not a bad drive. Don't matter where you are, it's not a bad drive. They have elephants, lots of them, and they do private tours. You have to book your tour. The cost is very reasonable. Twenty bucks for adults. I think it's it's.

Speaker 2

Ten bucks for for kids three to nine kids to an underno charge.

Speaker 1

One hundred percent of the proceeds go to Caring for the elephants, and I am all about it.

Speaker 2

They also have.

Speaker 1

Zebras and ostriches and tortoises and other animals, but it's the elephants, man, Sign me up. I am all about that stuff.

Speaker 13

That is, you know.

Speaker 1

I think one of my favorite parts of the whole of Disney, even though I don't go to Disney anymore, but the Kingdom, the Animal Kingdom, is really cool. And if I went to Disney and stayed at a Disney place again, I would want to stay at that place where you can go out your balcony and see the animals wandering around. I just think that would be awesomely cool. And so anything that has animals like that, sign me up.

I still think. Call me crazy. I still think Tallahasse could be home to an incredible zoo if it was designed to take into account the heat and humidity of the summer. I just I know that you would have to be very selective about the species, and I get that we have the Tallahassee Museum, but I think we could do a really really cool zoo around the capital city. I just think I just think capital cities ought to have zoos.

Speaker 2

I'm a big zoo guy.

Speaker 1

Love going to zoos, and so the fact that this is something two tails ranch and it's by appointment only Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday by appointment only. They're closed on Thursdays. They offer one guided tour per day and you can only make reservations no more than ten days prior.

Speaker 2

All right, we're back. Third hour next of the Morning Show with Preston Scott.

Speaker 1

Welcome to the third hour of the nonsense known as Common Sense Amplified. It is the Morning Show with Preston Scott. Quick reminder, it is the final show of the week. I am taking the day off tomorrow and so there will be something else playing that will likely drive you crazy.

Speaker 2

That's okay.

Speaker 1

We will be back on Monday and Michael Alford, the vice president of Florida State University Director of Athletics, will be joining.

Speaker 2

Us in studio for a state of the Knowles discussion.

Speaker 1

We try to do that every year in July, just kind of take an overview of the year that was, look ahead to the year that is, and talk about a lot of the things that's around FSU athletics. Of course, we are the flagship stations here at iHeart.

Speaker 2

All right, let's get to this here. Now, this is.

Speaker 1

This is something that I do routinely. I talk about things that make other people uncomfortable. And I don't mean that in a bad way, like you know, I talk about something to intentionally make someone feel off and uncomfortable.

Speaker 2

No, no, no, no.

Speaker 1

I mean that we talk about topics that a lot of other people in our industry don't want to talk about because they're told not to talk about it, or they don't really want to wade into that because it's too controversial, or whatever it might be.

Speaker 2

And of course, how do you do talk radio and not talk about things? Right?

Speaker 1

And it seems to me that this is a really important topic. So let me lay the groundwork here. Though I have something planned for every segment of this hour, I am more than comfortable with wiping it all away and taking calls till the end of the show.

Speaker 2

And here's the subject. The subject is quote.

Speaker 1

Christians, how can Christians vote for Donald Trump? And look, this is a little remnant from the last election. There were some Protestant Evangelical Christians that were saying, you can vote.

Speaker 2

For Donald Trump. She'd say, hey, this is a terrible human being, And somehow just defying voting for Joe Biden.

Speaker 1

But I think to really crystallize this and remind you that I would love your comments. Eight five zero two zero five WFLA eight five zero two zero five ninety three fifty two. Jose standing by to take your calls. I want you to listen to Mika Brzinski, Joe Scarborough's galpal on Morning Joe with Stuart Stevens of the Lincoln Project. Listen to this exchange.

Speaker 7

The challenges they face supporting President Trump in the months ahead. It has seemed to be a difficult balance to be a conservative, a Christian, evangelical, member of the evangelical community, and to also bow to this man.

Speaker 10

Yeah, this has been a phenomenon since Trump first emerged. I wrote about this and it was all alive. There's something strangely reminiscent in Donald Trump of one of these evangelical fraudster preachers. They're kind of Jimmy Sweikert type. It's sort of larger than life Pearson and has this odd look to him, you know, the strange hair, the way his skin is never a natural color, and the belief that he should live by a different set of rules than the rest of us. You know, I don't think

this is really very complicated. I think sadly it's exposed at the heart of a lot of these voters, the fact that they don't really believe what they say that they believe. It is impossible to say that you believe in Christian values and support a man like Donald Trump. I think that you just can't reconcile that. And that's why you have people like Russell war who has spoken

out against this Southern bad this leader. David French has been just extraordinarily prescient on this, Peter Wayne or these are all evangelicals who are saying what has happened to our community?

Speaker 1

All right, I've invited Stewart to come on the program, but as is always the case with the Lincoln Project, they don't want to talk to anybody that takes a different view. That's why they show up on programs where they will get the red carpet treatment, where they will be considered to be the real voice for consideration on this issue. I'm going to take this all and everything that they just shared and said, and we're going to talk about that. But I would you're welcome to call

in if you'd like. You're welcome to just sit back and just kind of hear where I'm coming from on this and then call in. You're welcome to say he's right on the money. How can a Christian vote for Donald Trump? I welcome your phone calls, welcome them, but only if you really own it.

Speaker 2

You got to own it.

Speaker 1

Eight five zero two zero five w FLA ten minutes, eleven minutes, now after the hour, running late, It's the Morning Show with Preston Scott. Yeah, we're gonna get Scott standby great name. By the way, we will. Uh well, I just want to I want to address some of this. I made a few notes in what Stuart had to say, and I will set aside that the Lincoln Project is made up of some of the classic rhinos and Trump haters. We'll set that aside. Let's let's get to the substance

of what they're saying. First of all, Mika Brzhinski, these these people just bowed to him. How can they bow? No one's bowing to him, no one, no one is bowing to him. In fact, I don't know of many people that don't readily acknowledge the flaws in Donald Trump. Why because Donald Trump has written about his own flaws.

Speaker 2

He has flaws.

Speaker 1

He's a flawed person. Guess what, And this is the part that really really burns me. Are you suggesting that Joe Biden was without flaw? Are you suggesting that Joe Kamala and anyone else who runs for office, I don't care what party they're from, is somehow above the fray that they can somehow navigate life without sin and falling short. Haven't we learned in the last three and a half years how lacking Joe Biden is as a person, as a father, as a president, because we all fall short,

every single person. You're not voting for a pastor, You're voting for a president, and quite candidly, someone who has not been in elected office since let's compare to Joe Biden nineteen seventy three and who has never held a real job.

Speaker 2

Donald Trump has built businesses and employed thousands. The idea that.

Speaker 1

Stuart Stevens started. You'll notice with the personal attacks.

Speaker 2

Who looks like that? Who has skin like that? Really?

Speaker 1

Oh, there's a substantive argument. Joe Biden walks around like a ruma yeah, And and then the idea that someone who lives by different rules, different rules if you mean being attacked by a different legal system, I'll agree with you there. If you mean making up and resurrecting laws in New York and to find him guilty when there was no victim, no financial damages, no debts left unpaid, no loans not repaid, there was no victim, yet he's found guilty of thirty some odd felonies. Excuse me, those

are the different rules we want to talk about. Fine, let's talk about those different rules. Here's the reality that everyone who thinks like this, who believes that quote, it is impossible that you say you believe in Christian values and support a man like Donald Trump. I think you just can't reconcile that. I will say Stuart Sanders is a scriptural ignoramus. He doesn't know what the Bible teaches. He doesn't know what Christianity is. He doesn't understand the

word forgiveness. He doesn't know that every single one of us is born into sin. He doesn't get it. He doesn't understand it. So his commentary and judgment on Christians and where they vote holds no water for me. None of these people, because they don't know what it means to be a Christian they don't know what God's word says about forgiveness. They don't know what God's word says about sin, and that.

Speaker 2

All have fallen short. They don't know that.

Speaker 1

They don't understand that. And let me lastly say this, and then we'll get the phone calls for however long you want to call in and talk about it. If Jesus meant to enter the political system, he would have assumed the throne. The Jews of the time were expecting a political leader, a king like David. Jesus said, no, I'm a little more than that. I'm the son of God and God has given me my marching orders. I'm not assuming your throne. I assume a different throne. Politics

is not Christianity. The founders of our country established that the Bible was supposed to impact politics, but politics not the Bible. You're gonna have to sort this out, folks. But don't buy this nonsense because there's nothing holding up the argument of the Lincoln project and the attacks on Christians for supporting Trump. If you really think Kamala Harris has the moral high ground, we can talk about that

one too. Eighteen past the hour, I'm way late. Your call's next in the Morning Show with Preston Scott twenty three minutes after the hour, And of course the thing to do for a Christian would be to vote for a candidate from the party that believes in aboarding babies, believes in gay marriage, believes in gender transition of children, and so forth. Of course, Yeah, Scott, thanks for being patient.

Speaker 2

What do you think, Well, you.

Speaker 9

Know, it really is simplicity, Preston. Any human that sees the chance to protect an unborn child that can't defend itself has my vote every time. They can have the worst business background on the planet or in the world, but because they have a heart or a child that cannot defend and protect itself, that's my individual. I don't care you know what the color is, where they're from. If they see the importance of that princis sent by My Almighty, that's my person.

Speaker 1

So for you, the fundamental issue of life Trump's and no pun intended there everything else.

Speaker 9

Correct.

Speaker 1

I couldn't agree more. Thank you, Scott, appreciate you being patient with me. There, let's go to Royn. Hi, Ryn, you're up.

Speaker 14

Yeah, I wanted to call you and just tell you I've been listening to you for fifteen years since I finished to a friend and never called before, but I thank you for the show. But get to the point, just like the man just said, as a true born again, believe in spiritfield Christian, you cannot work for the left because of their place. We ain't got to going on them, we know, but you gotta even if you don't want to go far right, you got to lean to the

right because of the work. That's what they're against. It's basically the Republicans against the Democrats. And that's the true fight. And there's all the way about it. You read the Bible.

Speaker 15

You study the Bible.

Speaker 14

I studied, I gave my life, rededicated my life about four years ago, and I've been full sensed esteem on the Lord. And you cannot vote for the left because of their beliefs.

Speaker 1

First of all, the accusation that Christians just cannot possibly align their faith with voting for Trump.

Speaker 14

Your thoughts on that, well, first of all, as a Christian, you got to believe them forgiveness. And the man said he's changed, And I know for a fact through elders and our church, and they've showed us pictures and the news of the media shows you where he's praying the right, praising the left, you know, fasting. But I guarantee you after he was shot, a lot of people he said he was shot at now he was shot. It was in the ear.

Speaker 13

That's part of your body.

Speaker 14

You was shot.

Speaker 9

I think that's changed the.

Speaker 14

Man even more.

Speaker 10

So.

Speaker 14

All we can do is hope and pray that he gives us a life to the Lord. And then if he's voted in and Tom is not cheated in, then won't be okay. I hope God gives us four more years of grace. Not I'm ready for whatever comes. But I've gave my life some Lord.

Speaker 13

And I know when the time takes place, if I pass, or if.

Speaker 14

If the writs or takes ways, I'll be with the Lord. And that's how me and my family live now.

Speaker 2

Thank you, Royan, appreciate it. Let's get to Karen here. Hi, Karen, thanks for calling in.

Speaker 15

Good morning. I'm calling you this morning because I had been worried about an issue. My husband sent an email to the publisher of Baptist News Global, and he must have hit a nerve because the guy wrote a whole thing back to him an answer, and he called him Florida Man well, I was going to send it to you and find out if my husband was really a Florida man. But then when you had this program this morning, I decided it must be a sign that.

Speaker 13

I needed to tell you about it. But he sent the article, he.

Speaker 15

Sent the email to the to the man and said that you know, you are just always, you know, busting on Trump and he is an im perfect man. And he said, you know, he's a child of God. And he said, you called him the anti Christ. Well, the next issue that came out was refuting everything my husband and said he and he said, he's not the Antichrist. He is and Antichrist, and the Bible talks about several and if you would like, I would like your opinion

on these two exchanges. And then my husband's final response, which we haven't heard from, but it just bothers me that that's what we're doing in religion nowadays. And God said, gives these are what's Caesar's and give God what's God's.

Speaker 1

Yeah, I think you make a good distinction in using the word intentionally or not religion, because there's a vast difference. Karen, I would yeah, I would welcome reading and sharing my thoughts on what you share. I won't read it verbatim on the program, but I'd be happy to kind of give the genesis of this whole thing.

Speaker 2

I'll share my thoughts on the air.

Speaker 1

I'll I'll be happy to and so send it to me Preston at iHeartRadio dot com.

Speaker 2

We're going to take some more calls. Let me you know, just just quickly.

Speaker 1

It's it's important to note religion is man's attempt to reach God. Christianity is about God's attempt to reach man, and that separates it from every other religion in the world. And sadly, there are some Christian expressions that are religious. There are some that claim Christian status, and whether they are or not, that's between that person that you know, those people and God. That's not my place to judge. That I am and we are called to hold people

accountable to what they claim. So more of your calls. I told you I was going to clear it out. Eight five zero two zero five to b FLA, Christians, can you vote for Trump?

Speaker 2

Yes or No? Eight five zero two zero five to w FLA.

Speaker 3

It's traffic, Weather, Sports, entertainment, Add the Truth. The Morning Show with Preston Scott On News Radio one hundred point seven WUSLA.

Speaker 1

Scriptural advice coming from Morning Joe Mikabrzhinski and Lincoln Project Stuart Stevens telling those who are Christians that to vote for Trump is a contradiction to their values. I guess ignoring that the Democrat platform actually embraces condons and supports sin. But let's just let's back up for a second. Let's go to jan who's been very patient.

Speaker 2

Hello, welcome him, Preston.

Speaker 16

I just I get so tired of people and what they say. Here's what I think, you know, when it comes to voting for the presidency of the United States, I'm not voting for someone to be a Christian husband and someone to be the father of my children and be an example for them. I don't have to agree, and I don't agree with what they do in their

bedroom or anyone else's bedroom. I'm voting for the president, for someone who can raise her country up and be a leader in the world, and who will work for every person in the country and try to make life affordable and bring the country together. You know, if we looked at bedroom issues primarily as not Christian, therefore don't vote for him. We would not have elected, you know, some of the greatest presidents that we have had in this country. So I just you have to separate it.

I consider myself a Christian. I stumble a lot, but when it comes to voting for a president, you don't as many of our we don't agree with some of the things our friends do, that doesn't mean we get rid of them. So I just think that we've got to take that out of the whole scenario. We're voting for a president for the United States.

Speaker 2

Thank you very much, Jane, I appreciate that. Let's go to Diane. Diane your thoughts.

Speaker 13

Well, I agree pretty much with jan But my particular reason for calling today was those who tout all of these Christian problems with Trump. I've been trying to do some research online about Kamala and her faith background, and mostly of interest to me is where has she been worshiping? What has she been doing in the last four years, And I don't seem to find anything about that. But it's I have no problem voting for Trump. I completely

agree with his policies and the rest of it is okay. Also, he has routinely taken out of context to his detriment apparently to other people. If you go back and listen to the context of what it is that he says. I love the sarcasm. I'm a very sarcastic person, so I have no problem with it. I'm a Christian, he's a Christian. If you profess to be a Christian, did you act like a Christian? I'm good with that.

Speaker 2

Thanks very much, appreciate the phone call.

Speaker 1

You know, personally, I would say that there are areas that he falls short, but there are areas I fall short. And the question becomes Okay, it's sort of like, yeah, and what Joe Kamala? You know, honestly, if she's worshiping at a church and still believes in full funding and unrestricted abortion, what does that say about where she's worshiping and what she believes?

Speaker 6

You know?

Speaker 1

Forty minutes after the hour, we're going to go to Cowboy Bob and then Richard and then maybe you more calls next in the Morning Show with Preston scott.

Speaker 3

This is the Morning Show with Preston Scotty.

Speaker 1

We're going to take two, maybe three more calls here. Cowboy Bob has been waiting for more than a moment. How are you, sir. Welcome to the Morning Show with Preston Scott.

Speaker 17

Good Morning, Preston, Good Morning. They want to throw stone at Trump for his lifestyle and ignore Kamala harris lifestyle. I can give you some input. I lived in California when she and Willie Brown were.

Speaker 1

Yeah, they had a very open relationship while Willie was still legally married.

Speaker 18

He was married.

Speaker 17

There's a place called Crawdads in Sacramento. It's on the river and you can go there by boat or you can go there by car. On this day night, we went there by boat. There was about six of us. Willie Brown and his date Kamala were leaving. They were walking to the parking lot. They didn't make it to the car, and all you could see was Willie Brown's standing up in the trees in the top of Kamala Harris's head. I don't need to say any more than that got you.

Speaker 1

Yeah, you know, Bob, thanks very much for the phone call. The relationship was very open. They weren't hiding it. You know that it He had been a separated from his wife for ten years. That's weird. But I think what's what's really strange to me is she's twenty nine, he's sixty. What that's weird?

Speaker 14

It just is.

Speaker 1

But again, every one of us falls short doesn't mean you you don't strive or hold it to a standard. It just means that everyone's gonna gonna miss that standard. So I go back to what are you signing up for? And with Democrats, you believe in abortion, you believe in condoning sins that the Bible speaks against. I don't know how you go there. One last caller, It's Nelly. Nelly, thanks for calling in.

Speaker 18

Hi, Preston, Good morning morning. My comment to you, Preston, as a Latina, I have I always share with all of my friends the position the platform in which the Democrat Party stands on. And I guess that's a Christian. I just don't understand how they can anybody support the Democrat Party or the platform when they are all about abortion. Yeah, And so every single time I talk to my friends, I have a friend that works chaperoning kids around scient kids.

That's her whole job is to chaperone kids that are coming legally into the United States and brings them from one city to another New York. One day. She can be in California, Illinois, you know, she just that's her job, sherepering two kids, up to three kids. And I asked her, I said, who who's giving you these kids? And you're taking to these cities the decisions. Who do you drop them off with? And she is a Biden supporter. She says, I really don't care. As long as I get paid.

I really don't care, That's her answer. And so every single time we get into politics, you know, all my Latino friends are like, how can you support Trump? How can you be a Trump sportah blah blah blah. And I'm thinking, you, guys, as Christians, how can you support this Democrat party when they support abortions, when they're, in my opinion, I think they are engaged in human trafficking.

Speaker 2

Yep, all right, Nelly, I gotta run. We're out of time here.

Speaker 1

But well said, and I completely agree with you, and I'll push it one step further. I have said four years and it really upsets folks. You can't reconcile being a Christian with being a member of the Democrat organization. That does not mean you got to be a Republican.

Speaker 2

Uh uh.

Speaker 1

You can't reconcile being a Christian and being part of an organization that believes in aborting babies, that believes in sanctioning same sex marriage, that believes in disfiguring children for gender transition while they're children. Can't you can't be part of that anymore than you could say that you could be a member of the Klan and be a Christian.

Speaker 2

Can't do it. Can't be part of that anyway.

Speaker 1

The Lincoln Project will have no part of coming on a show like this, And so it doesn't surprise me that my invitation to Stuart Stevens went unanswered. But forty seven minutes. Thanks for all of your calls to those of you that could not get through. Apologize, but we appreciate it. Speaker 1

Look back at the radio program in one hundred and eighty seconds or less. We started in Matthew five and then covered verses fourteen, fifteen, and sixteen.

Speaker 2

That's where we started the program.

Speaker 1

Big stories in the press box, secret Service asking Trump to no longer hold outdoor rallies. They're looking at options while not saying they will stop them altogether. The would be Trump assassin googled the assassination of JFK just before the attack and then registered for the Biden or the Trump rally axioslaming that Borders Are That's just a Republican made up name, that was a title she was never given, ignoring the fact that they have articles that they published

showing that she was named the Borders Are. This is the mainstream media's effort to remake and refashion the truth about Kamala Harris. We'll deal with more of that, including the fact that she's a DEI Vice president. Just asked Joe Biden, who said that just a couple of months ago morning, Joe guest Stuart Stevens of the Lincoln Project said that you can't be a.

Speaker 2

Christian in vote for Trump.

Speaker 1

We totally eviscerated that claim. Utah Man turns his fear of flying into a business. It's called flight deck Fear of Flying flash cards and you.
