Transcript

I'm out a dude. Welcome friends, ladies, gentlemen, boys and girls. That's right, just two boys and girls, males and females, men and women, ruminators near and far. Welcome to the Morning Show with Preston Scott. It's July. Yeah, baby, it is July. That means that nonsense is over. We can proceed with Christmas season and proceed with Christmas shopping. I'm wearing one of my birthday gifts. Make June great again. And so we turn the page on the calendar, and now we're in the

seventh month. Unbelievably, so we are here. It is show fifty one eighty seven. That's Jared. And next to Jared, we're just gonna leave that that quiet for right now. But next to Jared is the new producer of the Morning Show with Preston Scott. Will leave it a mystery for a little while long. What a tease? What a tea? Yes? Yes, And so we have him in house and getting ready. Cannot wait.

It's gonna be a lot of fun. Word is that Grant Allan will be back in the saddle tomorrow and Wednesday, Yes, performing some training duties. The plan is for Grant if he remembers to set his alarm because he has had to do that in a while. So are you going to remind him or just open trust? I will definitely remind him because I'm not going to be here. Yeah, does show up, You're gonna have to do this

by yourself. That's not gonna happen. Tewod Corinthians seven fourteen. This will be a very important scripture for the day, for reasons that I will explain in the second hour of the program. It is a very familiar passage. It says, if my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves and pray and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways. Let's just pause there for a second. If it's optional, it's up

to you. Humble, humbling oneself Usually not always, but usually humbling oneself means, yeah, I've messed up and coming to the realization that there is an admission needed praying seeking God. And this is important. The word repentance, it's not a three sixty, it's a one point eighty. Repentance means going in a different direction. It says, if my people humble themselves and

pray and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways. Listen, then think of the components humbling, prayer, seeking God, turning repentance. Then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land. That's our verse today. As I said, this is going to be very important in the second hour of the show. It's going to be important in our Sons of Thunder segment. It's going to be important to a story that we're going to talk about about twenty one minutes past the hour.

So I hope you are dialed in here today because today is very consequential. We're gonna talk about new laws that go into effect today in the Sunshine State. In the third hour, Zach Smith with a Heritage Foundation will join us and we will talk about Supreme Court rulings. And I couldn't believe it when I heard it. There are more coming today. I thought they all had

to be in by June thirtieth, but there are more coming today. So we'll talk with Zach Smith, legal expert with a Heritage Foundation about all of that. So stay with us this morning. It's going to be busy. It's Monday here on the Morning Show with Preston Scott. Guy, do what you're talking about what you will be talking and most importantly, what you should be talking about. It's the Morning Show with Preston Scott sound effects. Now, yeah, first day of the week, I said, let's go ahead

and roll out a little. Actually, over the weekend, my wife and I spent some time at a animal rescue farm in kro in the middle of ye in the middle of and I want to say, the farm is called Hippie Chick Farm. And so they were doing a fundraiser and they had roosters and they were crowing at chickens. They had pigs, they had goats, some mules, and yeah, it was a lot of fun driving out there, all right. July one inside the American Patriots Almanac. Good story here.

In nineteen ninety nine, the US Mint launched a series of quarters honoring the fifty States. Some of you have that collection. The back of the Delaware Quarter, the first in the series, features a man in a tri corner at on a galloping horse. The writer is Caesar Rodney, one of Delaware's three signers of the Declaration of Independence. Rodney was a well to do planter who had served in Delaware's legislature, led protests against the Stamp Act,

organized Patriot militia before being elected to the Continental Congress. Despite all the activity and vigor, he was a man in poor health. He suffered from asthma as well as skin cancer that had left his face so disfigured he often hid one side of it behind green silk, a scarf that he put over his face. Yet, as John Adams noted, there was quote fire, spirit,

wit, and humor in his countenance. Rodney was in Delaware on the evening of July first, seventeen seventy six when he received an urgent message from Philadelphia. Congress was ready to vote on the issue of independence. Of the two other Delaware delicate it's one favored, one opposed to break with England. So Rodney's vote would decide which way the colony would go, if only he could get there in time. He rode through the night in thunder rain covered

eighty miles to Philadelphia. The next day, just as Congress prepared to vote, the delegates heard hoof beats on the cobblestones, and a mud spattered Rodney strode into the hall, still wearing his spurs, exhausted but ready to break the tie in his State's delegation by voting for independence on July second, the Continental Congress made the momentous decision, which is interesting because if you recall from the mini series John Adams and the book the novel by David McCullough that won

a Pulitzer Prize, John Adams always thought July second would be the date remembered in history, but in fact it turned to be July fourth. So it was on this date in seventeen seventy six, s's Or Rodney made his overnight ride from Dover, Delaware to Philadelphia to cat the vote. Eighteen sixty three to three day Battle of Gettysburg begins. Still one of the most solemn sites

I've ever visited in my life. Gettysburg just man incredible. Eighteen seventy four Zoological Society of Philadelphia opens the first US Zoo, not to be confused with Congress. Eighteen ninety eight Spanish American War, Teddy Roosevelt and his Rough Riders help win a victory for the United States when they charge up San Juan Hill and Cuba. Hold on to that note. On this date in eighteen ninety eight, Teddy Roosevelt and the Rough Riders helped win the war at least a

victory in the war. Nineteen forty one, bull of A Watch Company sponsors the first TV commercial sanctioned by the FCC, and in nineteen seventy one, the twenty sixth Amendment lowering the voting age to eighteen is ratified. Mistake anyway, sixteen minutes after the hour, remember that Teddy Roosevelt thing. Circle back to that next la on your phone with the iHeart radio app and on hundreds of devices like Alexa, Google Home, Xbox and so noos. This is

Chrisler and Iheart's radio station. Sorry, twenty one past the hour. The big stories this morning are gonna be huge. Just yeah, big stuff, big show today, condensed week. We have a short week Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, off, Thursday, Friday back the following Monday. But lots to talk about. Now, let's go back to the history segment, all

right. On this date, eighteen ninety eight, Teddy Roosevelt rough Riders help win a victory for the United States when they charge up san Ja Hill in Cuba and the Spanish American War. Now, you know my obsession with auctions, I'm not like obsessed in that I buy stuff all the time. If the right thing shows up at the right price and it fits what I like to collect, I'm certainly gonna be interested. I might be following this though,

is really an incredible story. During that war, Teddy Roosevelt carried a watch, a pocket watch that was given to him by his sister Corine Roosevelt Robinson and his brother in law, Douglas Robinson. They gifted him a watch just before he left for the Spanish American War. So he carried this watch, and inside the watch was an scription. Pocket watches would usually have a cover that would flip open. You'd push a little button and it would flip

open. You'd see the time, and you'd put it back in your pocket after closing the cover. And the inscription said Theodore Roosevelt from Dr and CRR. Douglas Robinson and Corinn Roosevelt Robinson. And it was a silver watch. It traveled with him during the war. It traveled with him while hunting in Africa, exploring the Amazon in South America. It was a memento that he kept and it was eventually given to the United States Park Service and put on

display at the Sagamore Hill National Historic Site. On Long Island. In nineteen seventy one, the watch was loaned out on a six year term that was later extended to the Theodore Roosevelt Inaugural National Historic Site in Buffalo. But on July twenty first, nineteen eighty seven, the watch was stolen. It was last seen on display at the site's Annsley Wilcox House in Buffalo. Last year was the first time since nineteen eighty seven, and the day that watch was

stolen that it appeared. Get this, It appeared at an auction in Florida. The auctioneer realized this was the watch, and he immediately called the Park Service and Historical Sites. Eventually the FBI got involved. They verified that the watch was Teddy Roosevelt's watch, the one that had been stolen in nineteen eighty seven, because an auctioneer flipped open the cover, looked at it, saw the inscription, and then realized it was the watch that had been stolen forty

plus years earlier. He calls in the government and now they've not cracked the case on who stole it. But the watch was returned to the National Park Service and it will be placed at Roosevelt's home in Sagamore Hill and be on display in the public for three months the next three months. But I'm just I mean, what a crazy saga. Here's a watch gifted to the former

president while he was battling in the Spanish American War. It survived the war, It went on some of his most noted journeys because he was a traveler, he was an outdoorsman, he was a hunter. He was really a unique guy. He was a bit of a socialist as a Republican, and that's not to be overlooked from just a historical perspective, a sixty thousand foot

view. But here's this watch from the eighteen hundreds, survives the war, ends up getting stolen while on display in nineteen eighty seven, and then here it is back on display, and here we are talking about it on the anniversary of Roosevelt winning the win and the San Lan Hill in Cuba. That's incredible, all right? Twenty six minutes past, come back the big Stories in the press box. Following a check of news, weather and traffic.

Here on the Morning Show with Preston Scott, two Mayor of Realville, dispensing information at the speed of sound, and if you're lucky. He'll be wearing his Clark Kent glasses. Today The Morning Show with Preston Scott thirty five minutes after the hour excuse me Monday on The Morning Show, Zach Smith. In the third hour, Doctor Joe Camps joins us. Next hour, We've got a Florida Man story next hour. It's not nearly as disgusting as last week's

because I mean, last week's was just brutal, absolutely brutal. But let's get to the big stories in the press box. The debate numbers. I was curious whether anybody watched. Now, a lot of people watched. There were fifty one million TV viewers across the various networks. There were thirty million more online, So you know, was that was there any overlap? Yeah, there's probably some. But here's what's interesting. That's the lowest debate number

since twenty twelve, when Romney debated Obama. I found that entry. So the good news is for Joe Biden the numbers weren't huge. The bad news for Joe Biden is there's still a bunch of people that saw that, and the media has been doing everything possible to protect him. Biden's people, they've openly talked about how when he walks now to and from the helicopter on the lawn of the White House, they have him surrounded by people, so he's

not as easy to pick out. He's in a crowd and you can't really see him sort of stumbling, and at the very least he's following the crowd in the direction he needs to go. I mean, it's a funny, kind of sad kind of thing. The second story here, the New York Times editorial board is calling for Biden to step down. Now, the fact that the Pladelphia Inquirer is telling Trump that he needs to resign, that's totally a step down from his campaign. That's whatever. Yeah, blah blah blah

blah blah. The fact that one of the mainstream legacy outlets of the liberals is calling for Biden to step down while the rest of the party is circling the wagons. I'm fascinated by that. There's probably a reason. Maybe it's what I'm getting to next. One of the research assistants sent me a piece from the American Thinker by a novelist and kind of a military historian, JR. Dunn, and he said, look, I hate to tell you, but there is no other way for the Democrats to do anything. The only

way Joe Biden's replaceable is if he dies. It's too late to replace him. Wisconsin and Nevada have election laws that prevent any switch out unless of an extreme circumstance president's death. South Carolina for bids withdrawal for political reasons. Texas and Georgia have deadlines coming up. The bottom line that Dons writing is that it's too late. Now. Could those states change their laws in theory, yes, but it would be so obvious that it could then become a bigger

problem for them. So, you know, one of the big questions that everyone, I mean, I'm getting email by probably the dozens with different theories on the whole debate, some suggesting it was political suicide or sorry, a political assassination set up by the party because they pushed Biden to do a debate before either he or Trump were officially the nominee, not formally, and so as a result they felt like, look, the Democrats know what they have

in Joe Biden. They're not stupid, they know the problem, and so this was to sort of force his hand to get him out. I don't think they counted on Joe Biden being power hungry and Jill is. Keep in mind, though this is the Obiden administration, Barack Obama's running all of this. You notice how low key, low profile he is. No, seriously, it's almost as if he's sitting in a command center somewhere. It's hilarious. US Supreme Court sides in favor of laws that crack down on the homeless

campers in public spaces. So Florida's laws were validated. We'll talk more about that. And nearly half of US EV drivers are considering switching back to get asked vehicles, according to a McKinsey study. So there you go. Forty minutes after the hour, local political that's very important. Next in world, consider him your truth detector. The Morning Show with Preston Scott on News Radio one hundred point seven. Doubufla, All right, The Conversations podcast at six

am Eastern. All of the political interviews of local Leon County City of Tallassee school board candidates, all of them dropped at six am this morning on the Conversations podcast. They will hit my blog page at ten am this morning. So the interviews are there there as short as forty forty five minutes, as long as an hour and forty five minutes. There they're it's a it's a wide variety of lengths of times. It was just however long it took.

I think only once did I have a candidate say, man, we needed more time. Okay, well I kind of thought we were done. So I just based it on well, I think we're you know, we're kind of exhausted. Lots of things, and we'll move on now. Some just took longer for those of you in the city of Tallahassee, and and I really want to address those of you that are aligned with my way of thinking. For most things, you have got to be more more considered in your

determination of who to vote for. It's it's not you can't just say, well, they voted to raise taxes, they voted not to. You can't you. He's got to go into reasons, motivations, and bigger picture because there there is absolutely a lot at stake. The city elections will determine whether this city becomes Portland of the Southeast or not. It's that simple now.

To that end, one of the candidates challenging Jack Porter, Jaqueline Porter, is pastor Rudy Ferguson, now sitting Commissioner Curtis Richardson, has at some of the public forums made the comment that the local Leon County Democrat Executive Committee has chosen sides against him and is supporting Doddenman Johnson. Well, Rudy Ferguson has taking it a step further because he has filed a complaint with the Florida Democrat

Party and he has good reason. He has filed a thirteen page complaint alleging that the party has asked him to leave the party because he supports law enforcement. Now the Democrat Party, the Leon County Democrats reposted a tweet that said the US is a fascist police state that will arrest you to justify paying themselves

more of your tax dollars. You can't make this up, and Ferguson sent out a note to supporters saying, in the past week, I received several calls and messages inquiring about my stance on the message posted by the Leon County Democrat Party on social media. Transparency and accountability are vital for cultivating a positive relationship between our community and police department. However, as a Democrat candidate for running for office. I do not agree, nor do I align myself with

this message. My position is clear. To address the growing crime issue, we must adopt a proactive strategy by investing in our youth and educational programs while increasing collaboration with law enforcement agencies. These divisive rhetorics are unproductive. Now. In response to that, the chairman of the local party, Ryan Ray, said, I would like to ask you to leave the Democrat party if you're

going to criticize us. Now. There are a couple of things you need to think about here, folks, if you're a Democrat, first of all, understand this is these are nonpartisan races. So I have a problem first and foremost with the aid of a sitting commissioner, Jeremy Mattlowe, and that aid Ryan Ray, his commissioner is not supposed to be Republican or Democrat. It's nonpartisan. But Ryan Ray runs most extremist Democrat wing of the state party

anywhere in Florida. They're extremists, they're loose cannons, they're childish, they're a bunch of children that can't act their age. And so if you don't think about that, do you remember the days when the Democrat party was called the Big Tent Party. We're the party of the big Tent. We're inclusive of everybody. Well, I pointed out for the last two plus decades, what a fallacy that is that the most intolerant people are the ones claiming to

be tolerant. Here's an example, Rudy Ferguson, lifelong Democrat. He just thinks there ought to be law enforcement and and he supports them. You're out. You're gonna criticize us for being hateful of the police. You're out. There's your tolerance for you. This is what is being supported by the local party. It's up to you to decide what you make of all of this.

I'm begging you to be nuanced. I'm begging you to dig deeper, because I promise you they are choices that you're gonna make in August and potentially November that will determine whether Tallahassee becomes Portland of the Southeast. Forty seven minutes after the hourards the Morning Show with Preston Scott, I've a bike with one of those bells and a radio just like the seventies. Yeah, I traveled with a radio taped to my bike. This is The Morning Show with Preston

Scott. What the children in the sandbox don't understand is this is why there are several reasons why Democrats are reeling nationally, because their numbers are dwindling, because we've highlighted the walk away campaign, which start years ago. Brandon Straka in the wake of Trump's election just, I mean, he was forlorn that

Hillary Clinton didn't win. Brandon's been on the program a few times over the years, and in the wake of the defeat, he was just he was beside himself, depressed and in watching the news literally kind of shut into his own world for a while. He started to realize, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, how they were portraying Trump was not accurate to the truth. Look, Trump's got plenty of issues, lots of them. But the media is is the public relations extension wing of the Democrat Party.

We demonstrate that time and again. And so Brandon realized, wait a minute, this isn't true. And then he started digging, well that's not true, and then well that's not and so he just he left the party. He said I'm not part of this, and he was systematically booted out of every friendship circle. He had, because that's what illiberalisms all about. See, conservatives, we embrace everybody. We don't have to agree with you. We'll just talk you through it, but we'll love you through it. We

don't hate you if you disagree. But you see the liberals do they have a litmus test. You can be LGBTQ plus to the cows. Come home. You stand on the wrong side of an issue, you're out. Ask Martina Navratilova. She thinks this gender nonsense is absurd. She's now persona non grata inside the party. They hate her, She's not welcome. Rudy Ferguson local candidate, he thinks that, well, the fact of the matter is most of the minority parts of this community are begging for more law enforcement.

They want help in the four zip code. They want to see the presence of law enforcement. But because he said I don't agree with this message that you're posting on the local Democrat party page, he's out. They want him out. That's the reality among Democrats. There's now a divide. It's abundantly clear, it has been for years. There's the extremists that are now increasingly running things that are a minority vocal loud, dangerous, and then there's the

rest that, honestly are a pretty wide group of people. They represent more fiscally conservatives, some a little more socially conservative, certainly not Republicans or conservatives, but more so. And there's room for them in the old Democrat Party but not the new one. So you got a choice to make. I don't know if you saw the news the star Liner was the Boeing star Liner

was sitting as a lifeboat if the International Space Station got hit. A Russian satellite kind of blew up up there and shrapnel and pieces were flying all over the place. So they loaded up in the star Liner ready to go. What's interesting is Boeing's had a bad quarter, don't you think, bad half year because there are problems with the Boeing star Liner. They claim they could have gotten them back home safely, but they're in space indefinitely because there are

problems with that particular spacecraft. Man Boeing is having a tough tough time. July First, Yeah, Buddy, second hour of the Morning Show with Preston Scott. It's Monday Show fifty one eighty seven. Jar Jared over there running the radio program and the new producer of the morning show is in the house. Can I get what what? Yeah, we'll We'll get to all of that in due time. Grant Allen back in the studio, expected tomorrow to work with the new producer to be named later. But it is July first.

That means we got new laws, and I wanted to highlight a few of them, House Bills six one, quoting Governor Rondos Santas ending this squatter scam once and for all, you said at a press conference signing the bill in March. While other states are siding with the squatters, we are protecting property owners and punishing criminals looking to gain the system. This was a major priority of this program. You know, to what extent our discussions on the

subject helped shape the debate or raise the immediacy of the issue. I don't know. I know that we certainly talked about it. We gave example after example after example, and it to me is among the easiest fixes out there to stop squatting in its tracks. And so just no squatters. Though I don't think we have a high demographic of squatters in this radio audience, we likely have a pretty high demographic of property owners. Know that In Florida,

the jig is up. No more squatting, no more. You've got to wait and prove. It's like New York absurdity of absurd. In New York, they actually consider people that break into someone's home and take residents to be tenants covered by laws dealing with landlord tenant relations. They don't have a contract, they don't have an agreement, they don't have any right to be there. But in New York, all they do they've been there more than thirty

days, they do. So you better not make a have a trip longer than four weeks literally to the day, and then you better know what you're doing because you'll have two days to fix it. But in Florida, that ends not happening. In Florida. That's one law. Senate Bill ten eighty four goes into effect today prohibits creates penalties for manufacturing, sale, or distribution of fake meat cultivized meat. Yeh, gross, stuff's just nasty. If

you want to buy it in the frozen food department, that's fine. House Bill seventy sixty three penalizes the owner of an adult entertainment establishment from employing anyone under the age of twenty one again more low hanging fruit. House Bill thirteen forty nine requires age and developmentally appropriate instruction on the history of communism, beginning with the twenty six twenty seven school year. Senate Bill five point forty four

creates swimming lesson voucher programs. House Bill four point fifteen establishes online pregnancy resource hubs for and new parents. Senate Bill seventeen sixty four defines the term coordinated street takeover. Can't do it, wouldn't be prudent. House Bill six zho one band civilian oversite agencies created by counties and municipalities to review law enforcement officers

and correctional officer ethics complaints, limiting what civilian groups can do. And this is significant in Tallahassee because there's a group that wants the Citizen's Advisory Board to the police Department to have the authority to subpoena and to do inquiries and to i mean, go beyond the pale. House Built nine thirty one allows schools to create a volunteer chaplain program. House Built three eighty five provides safe exchange

locations for parents to transfer children in custody agreements. It's another very important bill So those are just some of the laws that are now in effect in the Sunshine State. When we come back, it may be Monday, but it's never the wrong time for Florida. Man, go with Preston Scott. They're gonna get a I'm just reach which knock knock, who's nash on w f l A. Remember you want to reach out to the program. It's it's real simple. Just send me Noe Preston at iHeartRadio dot com. It's just

that's about as basic as it gets. iHeartRadio dot com, not dot net, not dot org dot com. And you can send me story ideas, you can send a thought, comment, whatever. I try to respond to as many as possible, but I do get a few. And uh and if you, you know, for example, you send me a storylink, I might give you a little thumbs up thanks for that. A lot of times the stories that I get sent are stories that we already have or sometimes we even discussed a week or two or a month ago. You know,

I recognize that. You know, you come across things and sometimes it's it's new to you, but but may not be new to us. And there are times that we get stories and I'm like wait what, I didn't see that, So don't ever hesitate to send it our way. Just pressedon at iHeartRadio dot com. Ah. Yes, Monday drive to work for some of you always a good time to sing. If you read something insane, I probably did it. Come on, do you know the words I'm fond of?

Who the blockers? Go ahead and google my name, my name Now there is no way into the sins I have committed, and we all do when we have some. Come on, everybody, yes to man. You just can't go wrong when you do the new math Florida man plus Walmart plus gun equals story. Surely you've heard of this story by now, but just in case you haven't, Lake County, Florida, Central Florida. I did not know. Did you know that Walmart was using delivery drones? Yeah?

In certain markets. I don't think I knew Amazon was, but I had no idea Walmart was going with delivery drones. Yeah, it hasn't been going on for that long, so so Walmart. I'm trying to understand this because some dudes flying it. It's not automatically programmed. Some dudes flying it. Well. Seventy two year old Dennis Winn was having none of it. And when the drone came over his property last week in Clermont, he pulled out

his nine millimeter fired one shot and that was that it was. The interview was awesome. Police show up, because I mean he fired around right through the payload of the of the drone what it was carrying, and obviously damaged the drone. What's amazing is the police show up and on camera he goes,

it was invading my property. It was self defense. I was in fear and words to that effect, and he said pretty good shot though, right, And I'll be honest with you, Yeah, it was because he fired a nine millimeter and the I fly in the drone said that he estimated that it was at about seventy five feet, So you're you know that you're roughly you're at twenty five yards a flying target. Now it might have been

stationary and hovering. So I watched an interview with the guy's attorney, and the guy's attorney said, yeah, he was not sure why this thing was over his property. He was defending himself. He didn't know what it was. I'll let the court system deal with that. All I can tell you is the man is a legend. At this point, pulls out his nine and fires one round and that was it, and then brags about it to

police. Yeah it's pretty good. Shout uh. Sixteen minutes after the hour, come back with a challenge for all of us LA at w FLA FM dot com, on your phone with the iHeartRadio app, and on hundreds of devices like Alexa, Google Home, Xbox and Sonos and Iheart's radio station. Let's make June great again by moving into July. Yeah, here we are July first. Here on the Morning Show with Preston Scott. My commentary is

dealing with the next story. And I mentioned it briefly last week, but I decided, after thinking and candidly praying about it, I shared this story with my pastor, the pastor of my church. He mentioned it to the attenders of church yesterday. I want you to get your your your head around the fact that this resition passed the Tennessee State Senate twenty seven to one,

It passed the House eighty two to six. All added up, it passed one hundred and nine to seven, and it was signed by Tennessee Governor Bill

Lee. Its Joint Resolution eight oh three. It talks about violence by citizens non citizens, violent crime in schools, evil human trafficking, fentanyl problems on the southern border, drug addiction that overwhelms families, the nine thousand children in the State of Tennessee that need foster care, evidence of corruption in the federal government which impacts all of us, not just those in Tennessee, but all of us. But passing by that margin is a resolution calling for the citizens

of the State of Tennessee to fast and pray the month of July. Inside the resolution, humbly asking for forgiveness and ask the Lord Jesus to heal our

land and remove the violence, human trafficking, addiction, and corruption. Inside the resolution, they call upon the people to call upon the Holy Spirit to fill the halls of government, classrooms, businesses, churches, and homes with peace, love and joy, seeking God's blessing and humbling ourselves to receive His grace and mercy, transforming ourselves, our communities, our state, and our nation. And we started the program with the verse from Second Chronicles seven fourteen.

If my people, who are called by my name will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from Heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land. This is a remarkable thing. First, I can't remember the last time a state formally passed by such massive margins in the House and the Senate, signed by the governor, called its citizens to pray and to fast. Now, there's a purpose to this, because biblically speaking, there are certain things

that just aren't accomplished through prayer. There's more, there's fasting. What is fasting. I'm going to talk about that a half hour from now in the Sons of Thun segment. I'm gonna explain this, and here's why, because I'm challenging all of you to do the same thing for the month of July. We're in trouble. Our nation is in trouble. The Bible makes clear a position that I've taken for twenty three years on this show. We are

who we elect. If you're disgusted by the type of people we have running for office, not all of them, but generally broadly running for Congress, running for president, running for local fill in the blank, look at the mirror of this country, look at us. We are who we elect. It's that simple and straightforward and so if we want to see things change, it starts with you and me. And if you doubt what could happen with the people of this audience joining with the people of Tennessee, joining with the

people of that church or that state, then you don't know God. God is moved by the prayers of one righteous person, and we find righteousness in Christ, not ourselves. The prayer, the fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much. Much is accomplished because God acknowledges it. All I'm saying is I'm challenging you to take part. If you want to email me, fine, I'm not interested in that. It's up to you. I will teach you about aspects of fasting that you probably don't know. A half hour from

now, and I'm gonna mention this. I'm in, I'm doing this. I'm not going to talk about it beyond that other than mentioning, Hey, if you want to join in, there's a fast going on, that's going to be the extent of it. After today, It's up to you. It's up to you. Just remember humble, seeking God's face, praying, turning, repenting from areas of sin. Then in response to that, then

God responds, going to take the challenge. Twenty seven minutes after the hour, Big Stories in the press Box next to the Morning Show with Preston's good subjects will just make you furious. Don't worry. We're here to make it all better. There you go, Yes, it's okay. Yes, this is the Morning Show with Preston Scott. Thirty six past the hour. Time for the Big Stories in the press Box. Yeah. The Supreme Court has sided with Florida and other states on homeless campers that are in public spaces,

and they're making requirements of local communities on dealing with the problem. If they insist on providing space and so forth for them to camp, there are requirements. We'll talk more about that next Monday with Salnuzo from Consumer's Defense. Nearly half of United States EV drivers are considering going back to gas. No shock there, but what I want to spend the bulk of what time we have

left before doctor Joe camps. Joins Us is a piece written by J. R. Dunn in American Thinker, where he's an editor, and it's called replacing Biden More facts. He said, No sooner did my short piece debunking the possibility of replacing slow Joe appear that than the question attain new urgency with his complete collapse in the first debate. I hear they're calling it. It seems that everybody, Democrats more than anyone, are now clamoring for the replacement

of the inhabitant of the white nursing home. That keep in mind, I've referred to him as Resident Biden for the entirety of his term, only slipping up on occasion, he writes. But the problem is it's already too late. Along with the factors previously discussed major party registration deadlines, primaries, delegates,

even more major obstacles have arisen. Heritage Oversite has discovered that two critical swing states, Wisconsin and Nevada, have election laws to prevent any presidential candidate from being replaced on the ballot after a certain date, with the exception of death in Wisconsin and death or insanity in Nevada. In Wisconsin, this is any time after the primary, while in Nevada it was last Friday, only

three hours after the debate ended. In addition, South Carolina forbids a withdrawal for political reasons, while withdrawal deadlines for Texas seventy four days before the election in Georgia, sixty days before the election are coming up. Both Wisconsin and Nevada are necessary for potential damn victory. So this pretty much kills any daydream that Biden can simply be switched out and a new candidate slipped in before anybody

notices. It goes on to right, could Wisconsin and Nevada repeal those acts and open the door for a standard donk chicannery. Sure, look at the huge favor the ostensible Republican Mike dwined it in Ohio with no quid pro quo or reciprocity whatsoever. But this time it'll occur under constant scrutiny, likely the leading leading to a public uproar resulting in further tarnishing of the Democrat Party's rep

if that's even possible. More to the point, it will tag Gavin Gretchen or whoever they drag in as a cheat, a pawn right out of the gate. He concludes with, So no Kamala, no Gavin, no Michel. The disive roll the hand is aces and eights, and he said that it's over. You know, I'm just sharing his analysis of what the Heritage Foundation Heritage oversight has and I'm guessing that comes from the Heritage Foundation what they have uncovered in all of this. Here's the thing, with all due respect

to Jr. And it's an interesting set of thoughts. None of it matters to Democrats. Evidence Joe Biden and student loans doesn't matter what the Supreme Court said. He's done it anyway, he continues to do it. Federal judge says no, okay. Then he does something else. Federal judge says no to that, okay, So he does something else. Trust me, they have a playbook full of next steps. Reason because it takes too long to go through the court system. And then there's this thing that I've talked about

time and again called standing legal standing. We'll talk more about all these issues with Zack Smith from the Heritage Foundation. He's a constitutional he's a legal scholar, follows the elections, follows all this stuff. He follows the Supreme Court. We'll talk to him about this in much more next hour. Here in the Morning Show with Preston Scott. Forty minutes past doctor Joe Camp standing by this guy, do what you're talking about. It's the Morning Show with Preston

Scott. All Right, forty after the hour's uh, let's change gears. Push away the political talk about getting healthy. We need to have some healthy expectations. Joining me, doctor Joe Camp's good morning, sir, I'm worry doctor, You're good. I am doing great. President. I appreciate listening to your segments. And I could talk for days and years about some of

the things that are going on in our country right now. But I just got to tell you I was I had an opportunity to go up into the South Georgia area this past weekend, and I stopped at a couple of the fruit stands, and I was like, just just overwhelmed with all of the melons, you know, canal honey, dude, watermelons, all sorts of

peaches. And I came home and I started consuming some of those things and they were so good, and I thought, boy, you know we live in our region, Yeah, we have an abundance by color corn all. I could go on and on, and so I was doing a little research to talk about today's subject, and I was thinking about, you know, multiple vitamins. I'd never been one that's been a pill popper, so to speak, but some people just absolutely believe that they can't function if they don't

you know, pop some type of a pill or taking this additive. And if you eat real food really and I just call it food real food, you get basically what you need. And basically, there was a new research study that just came out recently and this is a study and the reason I like this is this study lasted for two decades, which means that it was over twenty years. They had four hundred thousand participants, and they found out that you know, if you do the pill popper, multiple vitamins and those

kinds of things, it really is not beneficial to you. I thought, boy, you know what a contrast taking a pill versus being able to have access to the types of foods and the other thing it talked about. It says that it basically doesn't really aid in anything. And so I thought, well, boy, why is this And again it falls back to marketing and

those kinds of things by big farmer. But the research of as I said, was over four hundred thousand participants, it lasted for two decades, and the conclusion basically was that multiple itamins and those kinds of things really don't promote well being and improve your health status. And specifically some people thought, and I wanted to spell this myth on the show today is that it has longevity life, and it has been shown that it does not, and so that's

been one of the reasons why people have moved to using these products. But certainly it sort of triggered my mind to think, Boy, how lucky we really are to be in this region. And I've loaded up all week and pressing on everything from greens and zucchini to acopies, and it's just on and on and on, and we're so privileged to be in this area. And I just thought that if we just eat real food, and that's kind of the terminology I'd like to leave our listeners think about, is just eat real

food, You're gonna be just fine. So that's my message in this morning. Another thing I wanted to shout out to boy, Florida State seems to be landing some pretty good prospects over the last ten days or so, and I'm really proud of them. We're gonna have a vacation weekend coming up. Remember, it's hot. During my daily walk this morning, it was already seventy six degrees at five point thirty a m. So we're a heat wave,

but certainly take precautions as we enjoy and celebrate your Independence Day. Well that's my message in today, Preston. I hope you have a great week and a great holiday. You do the same, Doctor Camps, Thank you, sir, my friend. All right, doctor Joe Camps with us. Remember first captain of a Bobby Bowden coached football team at Florida State University right there, right there, that's yeah, our guest here in the Morning Show

with Preston Scott. Men and women who serve our communities as first responders. Thank you. It's the Morning Show with Preston Scott. All right. Mondays. We are dedicating this time and have for the last month or so to something I'm calling the Sons of Thunder segment. This is about challenging men that if you call yourself a Christian, act like it be one. Otherwise, spare us the indignity of having to explain you to people and we all fall

short. Look, it's not about being perfect. It's about making the effort and being serious about it. Now, we're going to tie this into and expand this a little bit, because this isn't just for guys. Half hour ago, I challenged you to follow the lead of the State of Tennessee.

State of Tennessee has declared July to be a month of prayer and fasting in the true literal, biblical sense of it all, and the idea behind it is to pray to God, the God of the Bible, to ask Jesus for forgiveness, to seek guidance from God's word, to ask the Holy Spirit to fill our homes, our businesses, our places of government with its presence. But the question then becomes, how do you fast? I felt like and look, I'm going to write a blog about this because I've had people

email me already this morning. One lady wrote in and very kindly said, I accept your challenge, but I don't know how to pray. I'm not very good at it. Cool, I'll help you with that. I will help you with that. I'm going to write about that in the blog. And I'm going to give you a few things to think about. Number one, don't turn fasting into something God's word doesn't say. Because God doesn't necessarily say this is how you fast. Let me give you an overriding principle.

Fasting can involve food. It may be a meal, some of you may not be able to skip a meal, so maybe you adjust something that you normally would really enjoy inside of a meal, like bread, or maybe desserts daily. Maybe it's a soft drink. Maybe for some of you it's coffee. It could be that, well, you're kind of like you're a caffeine addict, so you can't do that or you'll get sick. Cool find something. Maybe it's your phone. Instead of taking your phone up at lunchtime,

put it down. But here's the most important part of fasting. You can't fast something that you hate and don't do anyway. I read an example once someone said, you know, if you hate broccoli, what's the point of fasting broccoli because you never eat it. You have to remove from your life something that is meaningful to you. But here's what's important. Replace it with prayer and reading God's word. Don't occupy your time doing something else. I'll

give you an example from my own life. Fasting is not going to be worthwhile and productive if I just decide, well, instead of having lunch or whatever, I'm going to go to the golf course and at golf balls. I'm just going to occupy that time. No, no, you have to spend that time and replace it with spending time with God and praying and seeking His face his wisdom. If you just fill the gap with whatever, I'm just going to catch up on a book podcast. No, that's not the

way it works. If it doesn't mean something to you, it will mean nothing to God. If it means nothing to you, it means nothing to God. But if we want to see a fast and a time of prayer for thirty days, that makes a difference. There are certain keys. But don't get stuck in legalism. Don't well, I just can't eat. And oh, by the way, drink water, lots of water. If you're denying yourself, don't deny water. Keep hydrated, don't be silly, don't

make yourself sick. Be smart. But if you do something, maybe it's movies, maybe it's video games, maybe it's your phone, it'll make a difference. That I know. Hour three of the Morning Show with Preston Scott is next. All right, five minutes after the hour, and so we begin the third hour of the Morning Show with Thrustin Scott. Great to be with you this morning. We have had Zach Smith on the show several times over the years. He's a friend of the program with the Heritage Foundation.

He follows the Supreme Court, he understands the mechanism of it, and joins us this morning, how are you, Zach. I'm doing well. Thanks for having me on the show. Always good to hear your voice and get your insights on some things. Let's start with this. If I were to ask you, what are the most consequential rulings that the Supreme Court made from the spring session, understanding that the ruling started rolling out, you know, several weeks ago, not just in June. What's on your list of the

things that are the most important and impactful. Yeah, well, I think one that's flown a little bit under the radar given all of the other high profile cases is involving kind of an arcane legal doctrine known as Chevron deference. Now, the Court recently overruled this difference in two cases called the Loper Bright and Relentless cases that involved what sound like a boring issue involving fisheries whether they had to pay for monitors on their boats to monitor their catches. Right.

But this Loper Bright case is so important because essentially what the Court did is they said that instead of unelected, unaccountable bureaucrats deciding what the law says, what their own power should be, that the courts now are going to decide that without giving deference to what those bureaucrats think, and given the vast scope of the administrative state the way it impacts all of our lives on the day

to day basis in ways we don't even realize. This is a major win for the rule of law, and we'll have a significant impact on our lives going forward. I've seen some people offer a little analysis that this court has limited the scope of government. And while I can see that in some rule I look at the rulings on social media and I scratch my head and I wonder if they really have. Well, it'll be interesting to see, you

know. Today we expect two more big First Amendment social media cases. The net Choice cases went out of Texas went out of Florida as well, where essentially the court will answer the question whether states can treat these big tech companies like common carriers, require them to carry content, or at least provide reasons for why they choose to deplatform certain individuals. And so we'll see a further

development on that front later today at ten am Eastern. Were you surprised the court did not find the federal government was crossing the line when it comes to

impacting what social media was in fact censoring. Yeah. So that is the Murphy versus Missouri case, As your listeners may recall, that's the case where the Biden administration essentially coerced big tech companies social media companies to censor speech that the Biden meministration disagreed with, and the court unfortunately didn't reach the merits of

that case. They didn't decide the actual legal question whether the Biden administration had crossed the line and inappropriately forced these social media companies to censor speech they disagreed

with. The court in seat essentially said that the people, the states, and the individuals challenging these policies weren't the right parties to do so legally, They didn't have something known as standing, and so we'll have to wait and see whether someone else will bring a similar challenge, whether the court will find

someone else has standing. But what's interesting about that is that some think, some like Justice Clarence Thomas, He's written about this before in the past, some are worried that the Court will use this standing doctrine to kick cases they simply don't want to reach on the merits and can avoid reaching some very difficult, yet very important questions that they do need to reach and that they do need to resolve. Zach standby because I absolutely want to drill down and get

your insight on that question of standing. Zack Smith with me. He's with a Heritage Foundation. My guest here on the Morning Show with Preston Scott Rning Joe at Preston Scott, go ahead, make my day on news Radio one hundred and point seven WUFLA seven minutes past the hour of Zach Smith with us from the Heritage Foundation. We're talking about the constitutional rulings, the veracity of

them as it relates to the Supreme Court. We'd love to think that the Supreme Court is always going to go back to an originalist view of it, and I've kind of broken it down. I don't like the mainstream media's view of act of maybe conservative and liberal justices. Zach. I've always preferred the view originalist and activist. But I want to circle back to this idea of standing. I've been struggling with this because and this sounds really, and that's

why you're on here to help say you're an idiot and correct me. But I liken this whole standing notion to let's say I pull a firearm and pointed at somebody. It's almost as saying I have to pull the trigger and hurt somebody before they have standing. I really am struggling with this notion that we're seeing used more and more that we don't have standing because we don't have a victim yet, and the victim's not in front of the court. Why is

that? Why can't we just determine whether the law is constitutional or not. Well, Look, standing is rooted in the separation of powers. It's a constitutional requirement because Article three of the Constitution says that federal courts can only hear cases and controversies, and so as that's been interpreted, it means that there has to be an injured party. The problem I think you're alluding to, Preston, is the fact that starting really in the nineteen sixties and the nineteen

seventies, the court diluted what it meant to have an injury. And the concern, again by Justice Thomas and others, is that it seems like the Court has been more willing to bend that standing doctrine reach cases on the merits when they involve cases favored by the left leading components of our society, typically environmental type cases. And yet they stringently apply those standing requirements when the cases seem to be favored by those on the right or conservative causes are being brought

before the Court. And so I think what needs to happen is that the Court needs to reevaluate, readdress its standing doctrine and make sure that it's applying it equally across the board instead of essentially trying to gain the system to get rid of cases that they just don't want to hear on the merriage. So how does that happen? I mean, do they they can't just sit down and talk about it over dinner, right? Do they have to have a

course a case that challenges the very issue of standing. Yeah, they may have to do that, and I think Justice Thomas again has explicitly called for the Court to do that. And again there's some very brad case flak in the sixties and seventies on the standing front. The Court would likely need to

reevaluate and probably overturn as a result of that. But I think the fact that we're having this conversation at all right now, Preston, is a good sign that people are recognizing this is a problem and that it may be time for the Court to reevaluate it. I'm also curious your take on let's use Joe Biden's decision to thumb his nose at the ruling by the Supreme Court on student loans and that he did not have the authority to do that. I mean, Nancy Pelosi said it on the front end, But yet he goes

around and continues to try to find ways. Is that ruling so narrow that it doesn't just say, look, Joe, you cannot do this, so stop it. Well, you know, he recently tried to do the same thing again, just using a slightly different statutory provision. Lower federal courts did enjoin. That's how you have to stop that. It's unconstitutional. Unfortunately, it looks like that case may be making its way back to the Supreme Court

again as the Biden administration continues to defend its policy. But look, if one of these student loan following cases makes its way back to the Supreme Court, it seems like it'd be very difficult for the Biden administration to prevail.

But I think again you hit the nail on the head and are highlighting a more fundamental problem in that the Biden administration in the student loan area, in other areas as well, essentially has said we're gonna take these actions we know are illegal, We're gonna do it for political purposes, and then cast up our hands in frustration when the court strike it down, even though we know

they have an obligation to do so. And so I think that's important for everyone to keep in mind that the Biden administration is taking actions they know they don't have the power to do. In less than a minute, what was the rule that surprised you the most this term, Well, there was a

very interesting rulely involving the funding of the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau. And what was interesting about that decision is you had two very conservative, two very originalist, constitutionally solid justices, Justice Thomas and Justice Samuel Alito on opposite sides of

that decision. And so I just think it goes to show and push back against the narrative from many on the left that all of the conservative justices think alike, they're always going to reach the same result because of that case and the others this term show that's just not the case joining us is Zack Smith with the Heritage Foundation, will continue our discussion, broaden it just a little bit next year on The Morning Show with Preston Scott Tell right on your phone

with the iHeart radio app and on hundreds of devices like Alexa, Google Home, Xbox and Sonos and Ihearts radio station. Back with Zach Smith from the Heritage Foundation. And when it comes to the Supreme Court in the law and the Constitution, he's smarter than us. Let's just go there, settle it with that statement, Zach. We've talked about a lot of consequential rulings. There was another ruling, Fisher, that you wanted to touch on before we

get to some other things. Yeah, that's right, Fisher versus the United States. This was a case involving January sixth defendant who's challenging one of the statutes that has been used to prosecute many of the January sixth defendants. It also is involved in some of the charges against President Donald Trump as well. And essentially, what mister Fisher said is that the Justice Department interpreted this statute too broadly. It was originally passed in the wake of the Inrun scandal.

It was essentially designed to prohibit someone from intimidating or coercing others, or helping others to hide evidence or shred documents and that type of thing. And yet this is the statute that the Justice Department of charged many of the January sixth defendants with violating. And so what mister Fisher said, he said that was a wrong interpretation of that statute, and the Supreme Court ultimately agreed with him. And so, as a result, the convictions of many January sixth defendants

under this statute will likely be revisited. And again it's likely that several of the charges against President Donald Trump will also have to be dismissed as a result. Speaking of President Trump, they are expecting more rulings to come out today. Highlight what we think will happen today. Yeah, we're going to give the ruling today on the Trump Community case. You may remember President Donald Trump

is facing four criminal prosecutions. The state prosecution in New York City by Alvin Bragg, the prosecution in Fulton County, Atlanta, Georgia by Fanny Willis, and then the two federal prosecutions being brought by Special counsel Jack Smith won in Florida related to the classified documents that make documents Marcus classified at mar A Lago and then the case out of Washington DC involving what happened in the wake of

the twenty twenty election. And so this ammusing case that the Supreme Court is hearing is out of the Washington DC case, and essentially what President Trump is saying, he's asking the court to extend presidential immunity, to say that presidents are immune for being prosecuted for actions they took in their official capacity while in

office. And look, regardless of what the Court decides in this case, this is going to be a very consequential pace for presidents of both parties going forward and will likely be one of the key cases that's talked about in law schools in terms of presidential power of presidential immunity for many many years to come. Does that potentially extend the vice presidential immunity i e. Joe Biden when

he was vice president to Barack Obama. It could. It's a tougher sell to make because many have adopted what's known as the unitary theory of executive power in the United States, essentially meaning that all executive power flows from the president. And so, for instance, one of the things when we talk about classified documents, Donald Trump as president, he had the power to declassified documents

in his possession while he was president. Joe Biden, who took home classified documents from his time as a senator, from his time as vice president, didn't have that power. And so they are two factually and legally distinct claims

when we talk about each of those classified documents cases and issues. Does it matter that we've learned that, for example, all of the documents in possession of presidents are also kept on a server that they have a constant record of everything anyway, So it wasn't like he was he had the only copy of documents either of them. Yeah, that's right. And look also, like I said, he had the ability to declassify those documents while he was a

president. You know, I think it's also important to emphasize president when we talk about presidents being immune from criminal prosecution. I think it's important to emphasize that doesn't mean that presidents can't be held accountable for their actions while in all office. They can still be impeached. We saw it with Donald Trump, we saw it with you know, other presidents in the past as well.

They can still the Congress still controls the power of the purse. They can try to influence the executive branch in that manner, and there are other mechanisms to hold presidents accountable as well. But you know, many of the left wants you to think that if Donald Trump are other presidents get immunity, it essentially means they can do whatever they want, whenever they want, however they want, and that is just not the case at all. Last question,

weigh in with whatever you like on this. Can Joe Biden be replaced before the election? It'd be very, very difficult. You know, it's interesting, we've seen some talk about this. The mechanism for making that happen would be different depending on whether it happens before the convention or after the convention. It could also matter whether Joe Biden simply chooses to step aside or whether he would unfortunately pass away or something like that, which of course no one wants.

But it would be a very different scenario. But look, the bottom line is that at this point in the cycle, it would be very difficult to replace Joe Biden and would take some significant legal maneuvering on the part of the DNC and other Democratic entities to make that happen. Zach, as always, I appreciate you carving out time for us when we have some questions we can't possibly get our brain around, and appreciate it very much. Of course,

thanks for having me on. Zach Smith with US Heritage Foundation legal scholar expert on the Supreme Court. That's what he does. He studies. I mean, I asked him off air about the Florida State Supreme Court and he's a Floridian, so he lives in the state. He had some interesting comments on that, but he said the bulk of his focus is on the United States Supreme Court, and so we'll see if standing, he said standing is

becoming a bigger and bigger issue as well. It should be anyway. Twenty seven past the Hour, We've got the big stories in the press box and more next on the Morning Show with Preston Scott Show with Preston Scott, Why You're not the Time on News Radio one seven UFLA. I don't know if you got that in the national news something the White House are blaming the prep team for their for Biden's performance, that they didn't prepare him correctly. Sweet

God, that's like preparing a crashed airliner for flight. I mean no, they messed up. They gave him the slow release adderall instead of the regular adderall. That's where they messed up. Well, Trump said he's gonna have a shot and his you know, I just it's so funny they're blaming the team who prepared him for the debate. You cannot take a broken down, old beat up Volkswagen and turn it into a Mercedes, friends, I just you can't do it anyway. Big stories in the press box this morning.

Nearly half of us EV drivers are looking at switching back to gas. Show of hands. Anyone surprised by this, It's well, I'm not going to be a parrot and just repeat myself over and over on this. This is a Mackenzie and Company Mobility Consumer Global survey. Global in America. It's roughly fifty percent. Globally, they're over it too. It's just and I and there are some pockets of people that are boy, can't wait to buy electric. I don't know what you're thinking, honest and truly, I don't buy

a golf cart now. Really, if you want to go electric, buy a street legal golf cart. You will get more use out of it, and it would be less expensive to deal with. US Supreme Court sides in favor of laws that crack down on homeless camps. Here's what's interesting about this as it relates to Florida. In Florida, this is going to force communities to more completely deal with it. But the state has to step up too. See, I think the state has been negligent in providing mental health facilities.

If you ask around and talk to people that deal with this issue, you're going to find three general categories. You're gonna find veterans, and within that core, you're going to find those that are like just they're just they've had bad breaks and they have not had a break and anything go their way, and they have mental illness. They might have drug dependencies. So you've got people that are drug addicted and have mental illness. That's one group of

people, oftentimes veterans, and those people need help. Sometimes it's a mental health hospital, and we don't have many in our state anymore, and we need to rethink that second category of people are people that have just had a bad break. They need it, they need some help, and if offered help, they'll take it. They'll they'll get on their feet because this is not how they want to live their life. And then there's a third group,

and that's how they want to live their life. Now you can decide what that pie chart looks like in terms of percentages, but generally speaking, those are your three groups. You triage the groups and you address them. Counties and cities now have requirements in the state of Florida, and the United States Supreme Court has said, yeah, that's okay, it's okay to have those requirements, and so we'll see what happens and the debate. Numerically speaking,

very few people watched it. It doesn't surprise me because I think most people knew what they were going to get. But what is interesting is for many they saw Joe Biden unfiltered, unprotected for the first time. And that's one of the reasons why the mainstreamers are having a meltdown, because they've been protecting Joe and saying, oh, he's great, his mental act. Oh never Sharper, I mean morning, Joe, Joe Scartborough's he's bedwetting right now

over Joe's performance. He's in such turmoil because I've been saying, ever been more vigorous, mental acumen is top, top of the charts, whatever, Joe. So that's the other side of that equation. in in June, so I'm looking forward to this visit. I still got a manly minute and more that's coming up tomorrow on the Morning Show with Preston Scott got admit that was pretty cool, wasn't it? Then? That whole second first show with the new producer of the morning show, with Preston Scott in the house, Jared showing him the ropes tomorrow, a little more, a little more in depth training. Grant Allan will be back with us. I'm sure he'll have much to say, always does. It'll be joining us

for a couple of days. He's been missed. There have been some listeners who have called or or emailed you, or sent us a message on our socials. Copy paste, copy paste, copy paste, copy paste. I've just written the same response. Yeah, Grant, being a new dad, just needed to simplify life, and so he he had a full time job. This is a part time gig, much to my chagrin. I it's

just what happened. COVID contracted this position even further. But back when David Allen was with me as producer, he was also the program director for the station. But they've they've consolidated things like that. So anyway, it is what it is. But we do have the new producer with us, and sometime soon we'll hear from him. It'll be interesting. I think you'll be very excited. You might not be a minor league baseball fan, minor league

baseball is where promotions are just next level. The things they do at minor league baseball parks and for teams is just incredible. And I came across one that I just I shook my head. Wait what. East Lake, Ohio is the home of the Lake County Captains. They are the high a affiliate of the Cleveland Guardians formerly the Cleveland Indians. Of course that's not politically correct

anymore. I'm just going to read the press release, Okay. In a bid to combine comfort with a splash of fun, the Lake County Captains, in partnership with Rota Router, are excited to unveil the first ever Roto Router toilet roll at Classic Auto Group Park. This unique seating experience, a groundbreaking first in minor league baseball, will offer fans the opportunity to enjoy the game from the comfort of deluxe, high end toilets positioned right behind home plate.

They have a row of toilets bolted into the ground, not inside the park, but in the seating area behind the net the fence, and they're padded. They're not working toilets, They're just toilets with padded seats. Little armrest and those exclusive seats are available, and with the seat comes Horatio, our dedicated bathroom attendant who will ensure that your needs are met with mouthwashed combs and

gum, keeping you fresh throughout the game. I got nothing. I mean, I wish I'd have been in the room when when whoever had the idea we need a sponsor for this rode over toilet seat row. I've heard worse pitches, honestly, have you? Yes, we'll need to discuss that next week when we're back. There's something I can probably only tell you about off air. Oh lovely, of course, brought to you by Barono Heating and Air. It's the Morning Show on WFLA look back at the radio program in

one hundred and eighty seconds or less. Had a great visit with Zach Smith of the Heritage Foundation. Talked about consequential rulings by the United States Supreme Court for the spring session of cases. More rulings do out today, a little bit of a surprise to me. We also talked with doctor Joe Camps. He uh reveling in fresh fruit and vegetables that he enjoyed from his travels in South Georgia, picking up at the fresh markets that are scattered around US Supreme

Court. Speaking of the High Court favors with Florida and other states that have cracked down on homeless campers, half of USV drivers considering switching back to gas CNN. The viewer numbers are in across all networks, the lowest debate ratings since twenty twelve. Obama and Romney New York Times editorial board calling for Biden to leave the race. Of course, the Philadelphia Inquirers said Trump needs to

leave the race too. Zach also weighed in. Zack Smith weighed in on a piece jar R Dunn authored He's with American Thinker said Biden can't leave now, it's too late. I don't know the biggest of the big stories though, to me, is that Tennessee has called for thirty one days of prayer and fasting, and I'm asked you to join it, and don't forget the local interviews are up at ten o'clock
