Summary

In this episode, Lori Aikman discusses the causes of hypothyroidism. She explains that hypothyroidism occurs when the thyroid gland is not producing normal levels of thyroid hormones (T3 and T4). There are several factors that can contribute to this, including damage to the thyroid gland, electromagnetic field exposure, chlorine and fluoride in water, nutritional deficiencies, and autoimmune thyroid disease (Hashimoto's). Additionally, she mentions that a dysregulated stress response can also impact thyroid function.
