This is from our daily newsletter, the latest from podnews.net, with Sounds Good from CBC. The podcast Money for the Rest of Us has a membership community that charges $450 a year and the podcast is earning well into the six figures in revenue. That's according to Simon Owens. We link to that today from our show notes and our newsletter at podnews.net. The Master of Ceremonies for the Podcast Hall of Fame 2025 has been announced.

It'll be John R. Miles, the creator and host behind the Passion Struck podcast. And television manufacturer LG has launched LG Radio Plus, a radio and podcast service on LG Smart TVs running web OS 6.0 and above. It uses a company called Radioline as a provider and as help to you today, we've a page for you to check if you're there and a page for you to add your show if not. You'll find those in the show notes, and our newsletter at podnews.net.

It's a Monday so time for some tech stuff and Podcasting 2.0, what's that all about then? PodEngine produced a report with everything said about Podcasting 2.0 over the last few months in podcasts and over on podcastindex.social, Kevin Bae fed that report into Google NotebookLM to make a podcast about it, which you'll now find in the Podnews Extra podcast. It's not all entirely right but it's pretty good if you wanted to take a listen.

And in podcast news, ho ho ho and what would you like for Christmas? Niche to Meet You has a new mini-series out about professional Santas. It's a three episode series that goes beyond the Santa in the mall to uncover what it truly takes to embody the holiday spirit year round and features interviews with seasoned Santa veterans, global Santa portrayal artists, industry insiders and renowned poets.

The interview show 'Indie AF' chats with people involved in audio fiction and returns for a new season today, guests Ella Watts and Amber Devereaux from the audio drama show 'Camlann' which was released earlier this year. 'Scarred For Life' returns for a new season today from its new home at Lock It In studio. The show sees a celebrity confessing three items or events they found terrifying for their childhood.

I'm assuming 'Watership Down' has already been mentioned, and a metaphysical comedy podcast 'Stuff My Soul' says – that's not its true name, I can't tell you what its true name is but it's not the word 'Stuff' if that helps. Anyway, that returned for a new season over the weekend. The show focuses on metaphysical takes on current events, living the 'woo' lifestyle and navigating modern life with spiritual insights. The show is also on YouTube.

And this podcast is sponsored by CBC, and from the staff at CBC Podcasts, Sounds Good is a bi-weekly newsletter that offers the latest in news, events and industry buzz from podcast creators and producers.
