From our daily newsletter, the latest from podnews.net with Split Screen from CBC. Spotify launched 2024 Wrapped, its annual look back at your last year on the platform. It includes 2024 Wrapped for Creators, which takes a look at your podcast and how it's performed. For the Podnews weekly review, we link to ours today. Spotify also released a set of top 10 podcasts. We've got the global list and those for the US, UK and Ireland. And of note, the number

10 global show has a Spotify exclusive show in Spain. We didn't think they did those anymore. There's also a fair amount of AI too. Spotify launched a Wrapped AI podcast working with Google Notebook LM. You'll find that in the app in some countries. It's those two folks from Notebook LM looking through your music list. You can share that with others. You can also enjoy your very own AI DJ playing some of your biggest tunes. Spotify's press release also enclosed new numbers

of video podcasts on the platform. It's now over 300,000. In June, the number was 250,000. By way of comparison, there are 125,000 video podcasts using open RSS, looking through the podcast index data; and 14 billion videos on YouTube. Elsewhere, APM has partnered with Magellan AI to provide real time attribution and audience

analytics to advertisers. AMA has unveiled enhanced data management tools for brands, allowing brands to easily upload and manage both static and live data through a Google Sheets integration. The Colin and Samir show interviewed the founder and CEO of Spotify, Daniel Ek. In the interview, we learn that Spotify's aim is to grow loyal audiences who pay. Ek suggests that the advertising model puts the consumer and the creator at odds with each other.

And 2025 may be Australia's first podcast election, suggests Audacia Audio's Kim Treasure, giving plenty of advice for the country's pollies on how to use podcasting to help them reach audiences. And thank you to the $100 MBA for joining us as our latest gold supporter. The podcast helps you start your own business with guidance and the habits you need to follow through. And the $100 MBA joins all our supporters funding news outside the paywall about our

industry. You can join them at podnews.net/patreon. And in podcast news, Produce Your Podcast has launched the Crazy Wealthy podcast hosted by financial and investor behaviour specialist, Jonathan Blau. The podcast simplifies the complexities of wealth management and seeks to offer practical, actionable advice listeners can implement immediately. Little Devils is new today from Berlin-based TRZ Media and is the company's first show in English.

We're told it's for fans of Snap Judgment, Mind Your Own and Heavyweight, but with European sensibilities in sound design and storytelling, the show explores the complexity of human imperfections. No Place Like Home is the story of one of the largest public art campaigns in American history, Art for Everybody, which saw 18 communities across the US staging simultaneous performances, hoping to answer one big question. Can art help

heal that divided nation? First up, the documentary podcast looks at Phillips County in Arkansas. And Comic Sans returns for a new season today, a show about comics for those who are sans knowledge. This season, the hosts are not just covering new comics, but are diving into unexplored genres, spotlighting diverse creators and welcoming bigger guest hosts who bring fresh perspectives and energy to the show.
