The latest from podnews.net with CoHost's Tracking Links. RØDE has launched its smallest wireless microphone yet, the Wireless Micro. Built for smartphones, the receiver plugs into the bottom of your phone, featuring two clip-on microphones in either white or black. PocketCasts is getting ready to change the word "subscribe" to "follow" in its popular podcast app according to Change Notes for the upcoming next version. The word "follow" is used by both Apple and Spotify.

The Podcast Haven has added a podcast search to help you check if anyone else has the same podcast name. "It's a pain to check across platforms like Apple, Spotify and YouTube separately," said its founder Eric Montgomery, "so I created a one-stop search tool to handle it all." Mr Ballen is officially a New York Times best-selling author.

He announced today his graphic novel "Strange, Dark and Mysterious", based on the hit podcast, was the highest debut novel on the New York Times' graphic novel and manga list this month. PodMatch published its November 2024 podcasting industry report for independent podcasters. The report pulls together a number of data sources to help new podcasters succeed. Audio marketers RadioActive Media has launched a billboard campaign across Southern California.

The company uses personalities like Brian Kilmeade and Chris Cuomo to voice audio spots. And one year old this month, a German-language newsletter about what it's really like to have your own podcast. It's written by Denise Fernholtz and she shares her numbers and her experiences growing her own show. In the new edition today, last week she read Tom Webster's book and liked it.

And as a by-the-by, search engine Kagi has launched its own free translation tool, just saying, translate.kagi.com. In People News, Chris Wallace, a CNN host, is to leave the network. The Daily Beast says he will instead find a new home on an independent platform such as streaming or podcasting, which he described as "where the action seems to be". And in podcast news, "Head Number Seven" is new everywhere from Wondery and Audio Always today.

The series delves into the macabre case of Cedric Lodge, the former head of the mortuary at Harvard Medical School, who was accused of, well, exactly the sort of crime that you would expect him to be accused. It's presented by Professor Turi King. Launched at the start of last month, "Silent Medical Records" risk opens our eyes to the hidden risks in medical records that patients often overlook.

Through real-time stories and host insights, this show explores how record errors can impact patient care and offers tips for spotting and correcting inaccuracies. "Legacy Talk" is new today from Lemonada Media, hosted by Emmy award-winning writer, producer and actor Lena Waithe, and 50 years ago this month, Karen Silkwood, a 28-year-old plutonium plant worker, died in a fatal crash as she was driving to hand over documents to a journalist.

"Radioactive, the Karen Silkwood mystery" from ABC audio, unearths newly discovered and never heard before audio tapes from investigators, recorded decades apart, that might provide fresh insight.
