Google's notebook LM has made it easier to mass produce low quality fake content. That's according to Wenbin Fang, the founder of Listen Notes, posting on the company's blog.
And they're not mincing words, are they? They called it a threat. A threat? They even built a tool to sniff these AI podcasts out and they say they've already flagged over 280. Wow, over 280. Over 280.

the trends report. Personalized ad creatives, the company says, drives up to twice the conversion rates. Podcast host RSS.com is adding a way for its podcasters to get their show sponsored. Any podcast with more than a thousand downloads a month can apply. You can find sponsorship opportunities under the monetization tab in your RSS.com dashboard. The company has also added more links to apps on podcast pages. Another month, another new low for Apple podcasts, according to
September numbers from Libsyn. The app is now delivering 45.9% of all downloads. This time last year it was 66%. Buzzsprout now lets you create custom mid-roll placements for dynamic content or Buzzsprout ads. Deepcast has been officially launched, though you'll have seen the company in our supporters list for a while. The website helps listeners search and discover the most relevant podcast content, guests, topics with key insights and meaningful excerpts.
Audioscrape is a new service that transcribes podcast episodes so you can search through everything that was said. It launched this week. YouTube UK's Head of Podcasts, Sandy Wilheim, has spoken to Broadcast Sport about best practice on the platform. She'll be on the PodNews Weekly Review this Friday. Belgium's biggest podcast festival, DS Podcast Festival in Ostend, returns for its third year in early November. For the first time this year there's a website in English.
And this year's guests include Avery Truffelman, Josh Baker, Kim Barker and Michael Safi. And highlighting both candidates' recent appearances, podcast audiences could decide the election, says Morning Brew.
