The latest from our daily newsletter at podnews.net with CoHost. The podcast hosted by Lily Allen and Mikita Oliver, Miss Me?, performed its first live show yesterday at London's Hackney Empire. And like tonight's show, it was a sellout. On stage, they announced that their Q&A shows will soon be available on YouTube as well as in podcast form. The show is produced by Persephonica for the BBC. Podtrac has published its rankers for February.

The Daily is number one participating podcast in the US, overtaking NPR News Now. There are plenty of podcasting sessions and events at South by Southwest next week. We'll link to a Google sheet of them all today, including the iHeart Podcast Awards, which will be held next Monday. The company's announced a slew of award presenters. It's also streaming live. Evolutions in Chicago at the end of this month has announced Dan Granger from Oxford Road.

as a keynote session, as well as a reprise of Jay Nachlis and Steve Goldstein's session about the state of video podcasting. You can use the code PODNEWS to save on selected passes. CBS News has announced that 48 Hours Post Mortem, a part of the 48 Hours podcast, will be launched in video form. Podcast hosting company RSS.com has added Apple Podcast Reviews to its dashboard from around the world. Normally, you only get to see reviews from your own country in the Apple Podcasts app.

I'm an advisor. YouTube's Tim Katz was interviewed by Nick Quah for Vulture. The interview includes a different definition of podcast from Katz, and then the same response we got from YouTube as a follow-up. Katz points to the all-audio consumption that happens in the YouTube music app. The Power of Branded Podcasts is a webinar from Sounds Profitable next week. It's on Wednesday, March the 12th at 2pm Eastern.

The subject of Serial, Adnan Syed, will not have to face additional jail time, a judge has ruled. Blue Wire has re-signed Cam Newton's Iconic Saga for ad representation and monetization. And InboxHiive is a service that sends personalized chapter breakdowns and highlights of your favorite podcasts right to your email. There's also a free beta for podcasters, which creates transcripts and social media content for your show.

It seems to be a reboot of an earlier product, which turns your favorite podcasts into insightful newsletters. And in podcast news... "We really made this whole thing about first-party data, understanding what people are doing.

You can really see what's working."" The Podnews Weekly Review this week talks with the co-inventor of podcasting, Adam Curry, and his business partner and developer, Dave Jones, on a new podcast platform called Godcaster, where faith-based radio and podcasting collide. If every sentence tells a story, every word leaves a trace.

Writing Wrongs from the Aston Institute for Forensic Linguistics explores why language analysis plays a crucial role in solving crimes and improving the delivery of justice. It's hosted by Professor Tim Grant and Dr. Nicci McLeod. The first episode looks at Timothy Evans, who was wrongly convicted and executed for murder almost 75 years ago, with forensic linguistics showing that his confession was likely written by the police.

The first episode of this is Gavin Newsom, dropped earlier this week. SFGate reports that his first guest was a right-leaning interviewer, Charlie Kirk, and that Newsom came across as unprepared and malleable, commenting that the show was humiliating and that it was a surprise how embarrassingly Newsom performed. Other opinions are probably available. We link, for example, to one from the Sacramento Bee. Let me read a little bit of that for you.

California needs Newsom to be a leader, not another mediocre white man with a podcast. Obviously, that wasn't quite what we meant when we said that other opinions are available. And Two Good Sports is back for a new season. It's a sports show that isn't just two blokes, or even better, one unfunny bloke. Two of Australia's top female journalists, Georgie Tunney and Abby Gelmey, will be joined by a set of sporting guests covering the AFL, AFLW, Formula One, NRL, Netball, and more.

It's from ARN's iHeart Australia. And this podcast is sponsored by Co-host. If you're looking for better podcast analytics, Co-host gives you insight into download sources, audience demographics, episode consumption, and more. You can sign up for a free trial with Co-host today. There's a link in the show notes. And that's the latest from our newsletter.
