This means making sure that you are addressing each and every person that you interact with in a way that they can hear the message you're trying to deliver and delivering it in a way that matches their personality essentially. What their preferences and tendencies are when it comes to receiving information, getting feedback, etc.. It is essential that we do that; otherwise, the message isn't heard.
