This, combined with a suppressive family environment, led to emotional disconnect and vulnerability to substance abuse. As an entrepreneur, the pressures of running a business amplified his struggles with addiction until a fateful interaction with a business mentor jolted him into confronting his reality. Called a "crackhead" by this mentor, Luke was spurred to acknowledge his addiction, propelling him on a journey towards recovery. Luke's transformative journey is a testament to resilience and the power of self-awareness. Utilising a variety of methods, including AA meetings, therapy, and personal development seminars, he was able to face his buried emotions and rebuild his life. Today, as a recovered addict, Luke is a Lead Specialist Addiction Counsellor and the CEO of Lisa Inside Addiction, dedicated to assisting others in their own battles with addiction. He has channeled his personal experiences and professional knowledge into creating a unique 8-week recovery programme, combining video content, worksheets, psychoanalysis, and one-on-one counselling sessions.
