Episode description

PEG Talks 2 Swedish Alternative Rock Band “Mandylon”

The alternative rock band Mandylon was formed by Sven-Holger Rosenvinge in Sweden in 2006. The band played on both big and small live stages in Scandinavia. The band became known for their magical rock sound and for their energetic way to perform on stage as well as Sven-Holger's androgynous and unique singing voice. The debut album "A Good Excuse and a Yellow sun" was released in 2008 and was well received by people all over the world. The band could be seen on TV-channels and radio stations and many thought that Mandylon would be Sweden's next music export success. In 2009 the band got tired of playing together and they started other music projects and chose to go separate ways. Sven-Holger released four solo albums, wrote music for films, churches and theaters. When the Covid-pandemic began, the band decided to reunite and start playing all together again. The classic "A good excuse and a yellow sun" was made available on all streaming sites and a new album will be released during the year of 2021.
