[00:00:00] My name is Kathy Washburn, and I grew up in the investment industry spending almost half of my life there. But shockingly, I never learned the importance of investing in myself. This podcast offers a myriad of less talked about ways that we can invest in ourselves that have been proven to reduce our risk of getting sick.

[00:00:24] Or increase our ability to recover more quickly from illness as a cancer survivor, I identified instantly with the research of Lydia Tek relating to the topic of Type C coping like me. I'm sure you've heard of type A and maybe you've been exposed to type B personality traits. Dr. Tasha's work used that research to identify behaviors such as people pleasing Suppression of feelings and emotions to appease others and the denial or even the inability to tap into true feelings, all as coping mechanisms that were in fact possible precursors to illness, even cancer. The reason is this type of coping erodes our immune function and exposes us to dis-ease. This podcast gathers experts and amazing humans in many different fields to spark hope and inspiration for you to take action and invest in clean, emotional living.

[00:01:24] The paradox is that when you transform these traits, you benefit yourself and those in your circle of influence in a beautiful, positive way. If you identify in the coping mechanisms I listed, this podcast might just be the catalyst you are looking for to become the better version of you that is just bursting to step forward.
