Cost of Admission

Today, for our first show, we will be discussing the recent issue with the Harvard admissions department and the subsequent lawsuit initiated, in 2014, by many Asian and Asian/American students. These students allege that they are systematically discriminated against. For those who do not know, Harvard is an Ivy-league school in Cambridge, MA, USA, that currently boasts a 5% acceptance rate . Harvard is also the oldest college in America and boasts alumni such as late-night host Conan O’ Brien, Former presidents: Barack Obama, George W. Bush and FDR and former vice president Al Gore to name a few. We will look at the reasons and developments on both sides, discuss our views on the matter, and attempt to develop a working framework.
