Pardon Me

Alex Estradapodcasters.spotify.com
Welcome to “Pardon Me", the podcast where we attempt to start a conversation about issues in modern society. These issues are complicated and there is not one catchall solution. We do not expect total improvement but what we can do is start the conversation and perhaps provide a framework for those smart and better qualified than us. In an effort to be transparent, Danny tends to be center-right in his views. Alex considers himself a moderate and has no official affiliation with any Political party.

Danny and Alex share some personal examples in their exploration of this complicated issue. NOTE: Unfortunately, Danny and Alex reside in busy cities, and finding silence is harder than it seems. While conducting this podcast, the fire alarm went off, and we picked up the sound on our microphones towards the end. We apologize for the inconvenience and thank you for y...

The Benefits of Oppenheimer

In this podcast, Danny and Alex discuss nuclear energy and reactors and weigh some pros and cons. This is episode is by no means exhaustive but covers the military applications, past incidents, and PR nightmares, an overview of the science/ideology around it, and concerns for future generations. This topic is incredibly deep ( probably the deepest we have gone yet) and after an hour, we still feel there is a lot more to say. EDIT: Danny mentions a constellation mapping system used by some missil...

Hormonal Harmony

In this episode, Danny and Alex discuss the ethical, cultural, psychological, and medical ramifications of giving teens/children hormonal therapy for transitioning to the opposite sex. This podcast was somewhat difficult because as we mention, there is a serious lack of research and studies on these topics due to its relatively new acceptance and the politicization of this issue. What do you think? Where does your path start?
