Episode description

Hello everyone! Today we are celebrating the wonderful world of plants. Across Greek mythology plants play a vital role in the stories of Gods, Monsters and Heroes. They are used as tools of love, lust, punishment and pride. Today I pose the question, could these stories be the key that will unlock a more universal love of plants? I don’t know the answer, but it gives me an excuse to chat about the plants of Legend!

Listen and learn the stories of…

  • Arachne, The Ill-Fated Weaver
  • Hermes & Crocus
  • Apollo & Hyacinth
  • Echo & Narcissus
  • The Creation of the Laurel
  • The First Olive Tree
