Back on November 26th 2001 in Cantonment, Florida a 911 call came in around 1:30 in the morning about a family home on fire. He believed the owner was inside, a man named Terry Lee King. He could see Terry’s car in the driveway. Firefighters found that the home was completely locked from the inside. They kicked down the doors and rushed inside to stop the fire. They went room to room searching for anyone inside. One of the detectives would accidentally touch a foot before realizing there was a body. They would locate a man sitting in a chair with his legs up on a sofa. He was fully dressed with shoes and a camouflage jacket on. A coffee cup was sitting beside him on the chair. He was found to be deceased. He was pronounced dead at 2:02am. After 30 minutes, the fire was extinguished.
The homicide team was quickly called as firefighters found that this was a typical death by fire. This man had injuries to his head and blood spatter was found on the walls. While he was taken for an autopsy and identified to be 40 year old Terry King, arson investigators were canvassing the home. However, it was known that Terry had two young sons. A 12 year old and a 13 year old. They were both missing.
