Episode description
**ENCORE EPISODE**
Cast:
Dr. Tara Egan, host
Anna, teen co-host
If you are a parent of a school-aged child, it is likely that your child has been exposed to youth-targeted vaping ads. Your child is also likely to know someone, even a friend, who vapes.
It is important to talk to your child early about vaping and learn the facts about the harmful impact can have on them when they vape.
Parents you will definitely want to tune into this episode (and include your teen) if you want to get a Vaping 101 lesson and learn:
-what vaping is
-what chemicals are your kids inhaling in these aerosols
-the harmful affects of nicotine (most all products contain nicotine)
-how vaping/e-cigarettes can impact their mental health, as well as physical health
-the many associated risks
-prevention
-what parents can do help them stop
If you use tobacco, it’s never too late to quit. For free help, visit smokefree.gov or call 1-800-QUIT-NOW. Talk to your child or teen about why e-cigarettes are harmful for them. It’s never too late.
