In this episode we continue on our Domestic Violence Awareness Month theme by exploring a common question that occurs in domestic violence relationship contexts. The question "should I stay or should I go?" is a challenging and common narrative often being brought up in the minds of victims and survivors in the midst of a violent relationship. We discuss barriers, societal ideals, and other examples of why a survivor may toil with this question and decision to leave. We bring up some current media examples of how these messages are being either depicted in an accurate and meaningful way, or normalizing unhealthy and abusive behaviors.
