Hey friends, so I'm just popping on really quickly to make a fun little announcement for you. So in case you missed it, I dropped an episode this past week with Maria Fela here on the podcast. She is the house plant guru and I had the best time talking with her. Honestly, I haven't been able to stop thinking about our conversation ever since. I've never been much of a houseplant girl.
I'm more of the outside garden type of person, but Maria really inspired me to try to bring more nature into my home, not just for the aesthetics, but also for the actual physical benefits of that. I found her episode actually so inspiring that as we've been working on preparing our charter school building, I'll tell you more about that in an upcoming episode. We've been trying to think of a way to make it more calming and grounding for the kids and plants are one of our big action items.
We've been bringing a ton of plants into the space. So it was that impactful for me. I know it will be impactful for you. So go check out our episode together here on old fashioned on purpose. And then. Head on over to Maria's podcast, which is called Growing Joy with Plants. Not only does she get into the technical part of keeping plants alive, especially in your house, because I am not good at that.
She talks about indirect light and direct light and feeding them in pots and all that good stuff. I think the part I love the most is when she gets into the deeper wellness related topics and all the science behind how plants actually do a whole lot more for us than make our rooms look pretty or taste good when we eat them. So there's a lot to plants that I'm just beginning to unpack and Maria is my go to to do just that.
So here is the trailer of her podcast if you want to have a listen to see what she's all about. And if that sounds as interesting to you as it does to me, you can just find her podcast by searching on your podcast player. It's called Growing Joy with Plants. Hit the subscribe button and enjoy. So thanks for listening friends. We'll talk again next week.
