A clip has surfaced from a recent Chappell Roan concert where the singer had a little moment on stage, tearfully explaining to concertgoers that she was feeling overwhelmed by life recently – and asking their forgiveness if the show wasn't up to scratch. So we're asking, have we got to a point where public displays of emotion like this are expected, welcomed and lauded? Is there a performative aspect to crying in public? And is it finally okay, in 2024, to cry at work?
