Helmuth and Hanna, both European immigrants met in 1961 in Kitchener-Waterloo Ontario, Canada and shortly after got married. Their marriage quickly went down hill in 1982 when Helmuth suffered a severe stroke. This is said to be the straw that broke the camel’s back. On August 26, 1994 - 31 year old Sonya Nadine Mae Cywink was seen at the corner of Lyle Street and Dundas Street, located in the city’s east end, at around 2:00am.
