Uit de klassieke oudheid hebben we eigenlijk maar verrassend weinig primaire bronnen over. Bijna alles is een kopie van een kopie door censurerende monniken. Een van de langste echt oorspronkelijke teksten uit de klassieke wereld is een grafrede voor een vrouw. Een heldhaftige vrouw. Waarvan we dus best veel weten, maar niet haar naam...
