Speaker 1

What's up, everybody. Welcome to another edition of the Fantasy cheat Sheet. I am Marcus Grant with Michael F. Florio and LaQuan Jones.

Speaker 2

LT.

Speaker 3

You were at home, Florio. That does not look like you at home.

Speaker 1

Where are you right now?

Speaker 4

I am in San Diego, overlooking the highway, not the ocean, which I would rather say I'm overlooking the ocean. But yeah, my whole family went to the San Diego Zoo and I was like, I got a cheat sheet and do some other work today.

Speaker 1

So there he is in San Diego. So yeah, hanging out there for a couple of days. I know the weather's pretty nice, because the weather's pretty much always nice in San Diego. Meanwhile, Lakwan, you and I are back two hours north in Los Angeles, where it is June gloom. Still we're here still, uh, because that's that's what we got going on. We have play to talk about though, of course, as always here on the cheat Sheet, the Florio Film Festival continues with a big one. We are

all very excited about about this. We're gonna talk God Devilla minus one a little bit later on in the show. Of course, we're always taking your questions jump on into the chat and participate there. However, you like we're gonna it to uh has been? Yes, yes, we know Florio's audio is rough. He's in a hotel room on his like ye, but it's on his He's honest, Look, it is expected. He is in parts unknown. He is not in his normal setup. So yes, it's going to sound

a little bit different. We can hear him. Find it's just a little bit.

Speaker 5

You know, Yeah, we can still hear him. It's not that bad.

Speaker 1

It's fine, It's fine, sks. Enjoyer, please enjoy the show as much as we can give you. Okay, one the one to get into though Aaron Rodgers is not at jets Mandatory mini camp.

Speaker 3

Now this has been I guess kind of a thing.

Speaker 1

Well, I guess. Let me ask you, LaQuan, how much of a thing is this really? Because Robert Sala says it's not a thing but Aaron Rodgers. So because if Daron Rodgers, it's always a thing.

Speaker 5

Right now, this is a thing. I mean, like, I'm slowly but surely moving Garrett Wilson down in my rankings a little bit because this seems like a little all season distraction where it just feels like it's weird energy, Like we wouldn't hear these reports when he was in Green Bay. Let's just keep it a beating.

Speaker 1

I mean, are you feeling the same way, Flory? I mean, are hear this? Are they just gonna eventually regret getting into bed with Aaron Rodgers?

Speaker 2

Oh?

Speaker 5

Yes, he was that way.

Speaker 4

I mean what has gone right since since he's became a member of the New York Jets. And I don't I go back to this quote every time something with Aaron Rodgers happens where it's like you need to keep all of that bs that is not winning out and then he is the one that brings more of it into Like I understand it's June and come August this won't be a story anymore, but like, come on, dude, perception is a big thing.

Speaker 3

It is, Yeah, I mean it's very much.

Speaker 1

You know, we're all trying to find the guy who did this, right, Like it's it just sort of feels that way, and you know, the Jets can put a positive spin on it and say, hey, look, we knew this was coming and even though it's not, you know, excused.

Speaker 3

That there's no issues here.

Speaker 1

Then the building, I don't know, man, you spent that much money on a forty year old quarterback who played all the four snaps for you last year and has been in the news this entire offseason for things other than football.

Speaker 5

Like again, reason like, where did he go?

Speaker 1

Nobody knows? I mean, somebody knows, but they're not saying, you know, darkness, darkness. I mean, just Robert Salick can say all the right things, but you got to know that deep down, he's just annoyed that he has to

keep answering answer to answer. You know, so who does Look, maybe Rogers comes back and everything's fine and he plays really good and the Jets go to the playoffs or whatever, But like, you know, this is just one more thing to sort of stack up in the list, especially if things don't work out for.

Speaker 4

For there's been more off field distractions than snaps played by Aaron Rodgers as a member of Jets.

Speaker 3

Yeah.

Speaker 1

Yeah, my friend, mister Scamper's is this opinion, I think is the one certainly that Jets fans are holding right now that he's not. It's not a big deal that the Jets handled it poorly. The Jets handled something poorly, shocker, that's what happened yeah, I mean maybe maybe it is, but again because it's Aaron Rodgers and because of his recent history, like it's always going to be a big deal whatever it is. How about this one?

Speaker 3

On a scale of once it's in?

Speaker 1

How bad is it that the New England area is about to get another championship? And why is the answer saw to eleven point five?

Speaker 2

Yeah?

Speaker 3

No, it is awful.

Speaker 1

It is straight up awful that the Boston Celtics are one game away, and like the one while, it's going to be like obnoxious and noxious Boston summer, it's going to be a summer of sadness in the Metroplex because the Dallas Stars got bounced in the Western Conference finals, the Mavericks are are getting run through the finals.

Speaker 5

As a former Celtics, I stood my ground to not watch any of it because I just can't root for them anymore. But like I'm really surprised, like, wow, they're actually by the one Brown.

Speaker 2

I hate, I hate it, yeah so much. Tatum is Look, I haven't watched a whole bunch. I've been like traveling and.

Speaker 4

Give as much he's box score numbers, Tatum isn't lighting it up and like he's gonna get a ring and get all the superstar treatment and everything, and it's like your team is just loaded from time. The rest of the NBA gms have to take a hard look in the mirror and be like, why did we give this Celtics team Drew Holiday for nothing?

Speaker 2

And and Derek White and KP It just goes on.

Speaker 1

Yeah, I mean it's just Look, I'll say this, if there's one thing that New Yorkers and you know, Californians can can unite on, it's that we don't want to see Boston area teams win championships.

Speaker 3

I mean, I think that's just.

Speaker 1

But yeah, to answer your question, Marcel, it's it's bad. It's it's gonna be bad.

Speaker 5

We do feel your pain.

Speaker 1

And not only is it that they are winning, but like they're set up to win for a couple of years too.

Speaker 5

Yeah, for the next dynasty going to be on a rampant.

Speaker 1

Yeah, this is not this is not a thing that's gonna just like hey, they want it this year and then like we don't ever hear from them again, like this is this is what's gonna be in that thing. Here's a question from your boy JA twenty four Jerry Judy come back.

Speaker 3

Anybody here believing in a Jerry Judy come back.

Speaker 5

I'm very hesitating on it. He's a great route runner. I mean, I love watching the camp videos and stuff, but I need to see this executed because he's kind of been a jag, you know for the last couple of seasons.

Speaker 3

You're buying this florio Nope.

Speaker 2

Uh.

Speaker 4

I bought it coming out of college, and I would be cool with it if there was a resurgence, But I'm not going to invest in it because not only do we need Jerry Judy to.

Speaker 2

Do stuff that he hasn't really done at the NFL level.

Speaker 4

Deshaun Watson last year was struggling to keep like high end like like Amari Cooper and a second piece of float week to week. Judy's probably third at best behind in Djoku as well. So yeah, someone else could.

Speaker 1

Have him in order to have a Jerry Judy resurgence. Have we had a Jerry Judy surgeence?

Speaker 5

No problem, that's the problem.

Speaker 3

You knows.

Speaker 1

I'm looking like a couple of years ago and didn't had nine hundred and seventy two yards and six touchdowns sixty seven catches. That has been his best season by far, not what you would have expected for him for a guy who was taking fifteenth overall. Yeah, you know, he has not had a thousand yard season. He has not had seventy catches in a year. We are still waiting for the Jerry Judy that everybody I thought we would see coming out of Alabama. It hasn't happened. But I'm

sort of with the rest of these guys. I don't know that there's I don't know that I have big expectations for him on a team where he's going to be maybe at best, the third option in the passing game. Romo Dunze says he's absolutely chasing Pooka. Nakua's a rookie receiving record. Look, I think it's fun. I think it's

a cool thing to say. I know they were teammates for a year or two at the University of Washington, but lakwan all homerishness aside about Pooka, it just doesn't feel like the offense in Chicago's set up for this thing to happen.

Speaker 5

Right, No, absolutely not. I mean the way Pula was able to do what he was able to do because Cooper Cup wasn't there. So it's kind of like there wasn't another veteran piece that can actually generate some targets. I mean, Dounza has to worry about DJ Moore and Keenan Allen, Like, I don't know if that's going to be possible. I mean, hey, shoot for the stars and moons, but I don't really see it, Widow Dunza, to be honest.

Speaker 1

Yeah, I mean Mike is is oduon say the number two target in Chicago. I mean the DJ more seems like the number one is Odune say number two for you.

Speaker 2

No, I think he's number three. I think Keenan Allen.

Speaker 4

Look, I know, Keenan Allen's getting up there in age and the falloff happens pretty quickly in football. But he posted metric wise one of his best seasons ever last season, so I think he could still play at a high level. I think he'll execute really well out of the slot, but in two wide receiver sets, I don't see them pulling either of those two guys. So my response to this was gonna be like when did Moore and Keenan get hurt? Because that's the only way I think gets

the opportunity. I think he has the talent to do, so.

Speaker 2

I just don't think he's gonna get all the opportunity.

Speaker 1

Yeah, very crowd It's very crowded there in Chicago. And I think I think the world of Caleb Williams. I think the sky is the limit for Caleb Williams. I keep saying this though that I think in year one, if Williams throws for thirty five thirty seven hundred yards, I think that's a really good year. That's not enough for Romo Dunes to come close to that record, Whereas he's.

Speaker 5

Not going to break the Bear record or four thousand in.

Speaker 1

The first year.

Speaker 3

I got it.

Speaker 1

I think you, I think you will get there.

Speaker 3

You know that he gets there.

Speaker 5

In year one, like y're one one.

Speaker 3

I don't think.

Speaker 1

I don't think that's a bad thing if he doesn't get there in year one, right, Like, I think that's I think, I think that's okay.

Speaker 5

I think Bears fans are kind of like.

Speaker 3

Oh no, no, they're expecting it.

Speaker 5

They're expecting I think it happens forty one. I'm gonna go forty one.

Speaker 1

That I don't know, has anybody asked Adam Rank because I'm sure he's putting it around like forty five, forty seven.

Speaker 5

Oh, it's probably like five thousand yards first year.

Speaker 2

They're going straight to they're skipping over four. They're going just straight to first five thousand passing.

Speaker 3

Yeah, that's there, you go, that's it. Yeah.

Speaker 1

I have not I have not asked what Adam Rank's projections are for Caleb Boy.

Speaker 2

Sure and Tie. I can guarantee you that.

Speaker 3

I am sure. It is absolutely to the moon.

Speaker 1

Speaking of projections, Rye Bread wants to know, how do you guys put together your rankings. I want to draft by rankings this year, but don't know a good way to go about it. I personally am a tears guy tears person as opposed to just going like you a

one through thirty or whatever. It is just because I think when you do number numerical rankings sometimes you sort of get fixated on a player, whereas if it's a tiers sort of thing, you're like, okay, so I missed out on you know, Sam Laporta, but another guy, you know, Travis Kelcey is right there, or Trey McBride is right there. Whatever. I think you can sort of at least for me, it gives me a little bit more flexibility in my

thinking when I when I figure out Tears Florida. I don't know if you have a specific way you go about it.

Speaker 2

Yeah, I like to put the guys who are going to do well first and then uh.

Speaker 4

No, I do it just like I do it Tears, and I do it by how I would draft players. I don't do like I think this guy's gonna finish ahead of this guy because there's a lot I take chances in my rankings because that's how I would draft, because I'm targeting upside and stuff.

Speaker 2

So we talked about.

Speaker 4

A lot of these safe players that I'm always like, this guy's gonna I guarantee you if he's gonna finish higher than I rank him. And I know that, but I will take all of these players ahead of him because I think this person has much more upside and could change the dynamic of my team.

Speaker 2

So that's how I rank.

Speaker 4

I truly do it like I'm drafting and not like I'm ranking for like a grade at the end of the year.

Speaker 3

How do you do it?

Speaker 5

Look on say, the same way, Tears are way better. I feel like that's the way where you can use as a cheat sheet, hey, cheat sheet for your draft so I feel as though, like tears, you will always like have the guys in a bunch of where you're okay with instead of doing like one through like seventy players Like I don't. I don't feel as that that's gonna be helpful for you.

Speaker 1

Got a ton of questions in the chat. Appreciate you guys showing up in this one. Let's this one go from Devin. Can we expect the same Josh Jacobs in Green Bay that we saw in Vegas? LaQuan h.

Speaker 5

I think you will see somewhat similar workload. I don't know if he'll be executed the way where he got, you know, as much as work because you have more Sean Lloyd there and they're already like sending little seeds that they want to get him involved to kind of give Jacobs a win. But ultimately he still will be Josh Jacob's backfield. I just don't think we're gonna see Josh Jacobs like RB one numbers that we saw over there in Vegas.

Speaker 1

All right, let's see this one. I'll give this to you, Florio. If somebody wanted to do a stack with CJ. Stroud, which wide receiver should they take Nico Collins.

Speaker 2

In my opinion, I.

Speaker 4

Think that he brings the They paid him, so he's gonna bring that volume, I still believe. But he has the explosiveness in the field stretching ability where I'm not sure if Steph Diggs has that anymore. But then you could also pair him with Tank Dell, who goes a couple of rounds later. You kind of got to choose the first one, but Tank Dell also being the cheapest, puts him in play as well. Diggs is the one that I want the least of this trio.

Speaker 1

Yeah, it's funny though, I think I in a best ball just I think I took get Diggs just because of actually both of the best balls at Redraft Leaue because of where he fell. I was like, okay, well right here, he's like, you know, my second wide receiver. I feel okay with that, and I went heavy wide receiver. Paul wants to off t Higgins is traded. Are we drafting Burton or I never get this name right, Yoshivus. I think that's how you say it. I never I never did that one, right.

Speaker 5

Uh yeah, I think that's how I pronounced it too. But we got to go Burton here, man, We're all excited about Burton.

Speaker 3

Whether or not to Higgins traded.

Speaker 1

I'm drafting Burton because I think there's a role for him in this offense. We've seen three wide receivers be able to succeed with a healthy Joe Burrow. Burton's talent has never been in doubt, and so as long as he's on the field, I think there's a big opportunity for him there. So if Higgins gets traded, then it's definitely Burton. But even with Higgins there, I'm I'm down with Jermaine Burton this year. Sks Enjoyer on the topic

of the do we like Swift more this year? He kind of petered out in the back half of twenty twenty three. How you feeling about DeAndre Swift?

Speaker 5

Look on, I'm feeling good about DeAndre Swift just based on having our expectations that he's going to be an RB two, an RB three, Like we're not drafting him anymore to be our RB ones on our rosters anymore, so you can't really get burned by him. But I think he has a role back there, you know, over there in Chicago where he could play the little dump off.

He could still be involved in the passing game, Like I feel the most comfortable this year draft in DeAndre Swift just with my expectations in order.

Speaker 1

Uh, I guess the upside for DeAndre Swift floyo this year is that the tush push is not in play in Chicago where it was in Philadelphia last year.

Speaker 2

Yeah, he could get more goal on opportunities potentially.

Speaker 4

I feel like he's being adequately ranked. Where he's going is like a low end RB two because the trade off is the Bears offense might not be as good as the Eagles offense were last year. And I still think I think he'll be on the field a little bit more consistently. I think he could potentially get more targets in Chicago than he was in Philly.

Speaker 2

But my fear is if he does hit, like struggle a little bit or stumble out the gate.

Speaker 4

They had two backup running backs that I think they at least feel comfortable with that could potentially eat into some workload.

Speaker 1

Uh. Real quick for you guys, Milik Neighbors or Marvin Harrison, which one you take in?

Speaker 5

Ooh, Marvin Harrison, Marvin Harrison, Yeah, I mean yeah, between two of them, Marvin Harrison.

Speaker 2

I had him as my wide receiver eight. That might be crazy to some.

Speaker 3

I don't.

Speaker 1

I mean, considering where he's going in drafts, I don't think that is completely crazy. Maybe it might be a touch than a lot of people, but I don't think it's like way out of bounds. I like the quarterback.

Speaker 5

I got wide receiver twelve in my rankings. Yeah, twelve right now for me could move QB.

Speaker 1

Situation is better for him than it is for from leak neighbors in New York. Uh.

Speaker 3

How do you feel about Joe Mixon and Zach Moss Florida?

Speaker 2

Mixon?

Speaker 4

I like at where he's going right now because I don't think a whole lot like I know, he's changed teams and stuff, but I still think he's gonna dominate volume there for the Texans, And I nick CJ. Shall being such a good downfield thrower is going to help open up a lot of running lanes for him.

Speaker 3

Uh.

Speaker 2

And maybe he doesn't get as many targets as he did from.

Speaker 4

Joe Burrow, but he's going later than ever and I still think he is a shot worth taking where he's going right now. And then Zach Moss is a good value in my opinion, because I think he's gonna be the heavy side of the platoon there with Chase Brown, where Brown might get some of the more valuable passing down situations, but moscun gets sprinkled in there. I think m also be the goal line runner, and he's gonna be, in my opinion, the lead back on what could be

one of the best offenses in football. If Joe Burrow stays healthy and you're getting him as an RB three right now.

Speaker 1

Look on any interest in either Damian Pierce or Chase Brown or I guess the better question is which one is more interesting to you.

Speaker 5

Probably Chase Brown. I think Damian Pierce will find his mold and his gel on the special teams. I mean, it's kind of been hinted that, you know, the last couple of seasons, but I feel as though that Joe Mixon can still carry that workload where he won't need that much of a breather, and like you said, Mix is not going to be involved as much in the bass game maybe so like he'll be able to run between the tackles right outside, it'd be more useful there.

I just would rather take my chance with Chase Brown, because honestly, I don't think Zach Moss is ready to actually perform at a high levels like he did in Indye with that old line. Because the Bengals old line has been shaky the last couple of seasons, and we saw Mixing get it out of the mud like he was able to get a thousand yards. We're probably the worst old line there. I don't know if Zach Moss is ready for that type of life right now with that old line.

Speaker 1

It's funny because I'm not drafting Damian Pierce, but I have a feeling that I could change my tune when we get to August. Just yeah, who knows what happens, right with the the workload and the role that they have for him there behind Joe Mixon. But I could see I think of is fine. I think he landed in a really good spot for him. I think that was the best possible scenario if he wasn't going to be in Cincinnati. But I also am not sold that

they're just completely washing their hands of Damian Pierce. They're just gonna make him a special teams guy.

Speaker 4

Like.

Speaker 1

And I'm saying I'm drafting him as a depth guy, right, Like, I'm not counting on big things from him, but I could probably talk myself into drafting him a few times, especially in Best Ball when we get closer to the start of the season.

Speaker 2

I just keep hoping he changes teams.

Speaker 3

Yeah, put him on the Chargers of the Cowboys please, which, by the way, Gus Edwards is hurt.

Speaker 1

Apparently it's not serious, but it is worth, you know, talking about.

Speaker 5

That's all I'm gonna say.

Speaker 3

Man, I know, man, I like him.

Speaker 1

I like him, but I'm not if we get to if we get to again early August and they were talking about him still being hurt, then like maybe i can jump more on that, but I'm still not out on Gusts completely.

Speaker 3

Hazel Nutte says, I like New York and June. How about you?

Speaker 1

How about New York in July? You guys, being from the Tri State area, have you ever have won or both of you ever been to the Hot Dog eating contest in person?

Speaker 4

No, No Island many times, but never on the fourth of July.

Speaker 1

It does seem like a thing that like, if I'm a local, I would absolutely hate doing like it feels like like I would that would be a touristy thing. I would totally stay away from that if I lived out.

Speaker 3

There's the New Year's Eve Ball, Like, yeah, no.

Speaker 4

Actual person who lives in New York goes anywhere New York Times Square that day.

Speaker 1

Yeah no, I get that completely. But anyway, the big story out of this, Joey chuss Nut, who is from my hometown of Leo, California, has been banned from this year's Nathan's Hot Dog eating contest because he apparently agreed to represent the vegan brand Impossible Foods instead of Nathan's. He put out a statement basically saying that he doesn't have a contract with either Nathan's or Major League Eating. Basically, this is him trying to get a sponsorship deal. I

don't know this. This feels like if like I don't know Patrick Mahomes got banned from the Super Bowl because he didn't add for like artificial turf or something.

Speaker 2

I mean, certain athletes are bigger than their sports. Joey Chestnut is one of them.

Speaker 1

Joey chest Nut is bigger than the sport. I like, I think they're gonna bring him back. God Like after this year, when like the winning person eats like twelve hot dogs, right, they'll be like, oh, we should.

Speaker 3

Probably bring Joey back, Like.

Speaker 2

This is not did you see what he's doing instead?

Speaker 3

Yes, him at Kobayashi.

Speaker 1

It's like a one on one on Netflix September second, which, as a friend of mine pointed out, like it would have been much more of a flex if they just moved this to July fourth.

Speaker 4

They really should have, because I think Netflix would outdraw the actual hot dog eating contest you've got.

Speaker 1

I mean it would, you know, it'd be the goat. It'd be like a a a home run hitting contest between like you know, Shohy and Barry Bonds, right, Like it would like why wouldn't you put this up against like the other thing that now has zero star power?

Speaker 5

Yeah, feels like the rock for his stone cold. Like how epic this battle is, Like how they're serving it up like this is like peak like rivery here, I mean they are.

Speaker 1

Let's not forget like the reason Kobyashi hasn't been in the contest for years is because like at some point, Joey Chestnut just blew past him.

Speaker 2

Yeah, he's Joey chest Stunts to go. But Marcus, it was one of the weeks you were out.

Speaker 4

We actually spoke about Kobeyashi on cheat sheet because he no longer feels hungry because he had to train his brain out to feel full. So he apparently went three full days once before he realized like, hey, I need to eat food or I'm not going to live, and like, maybe we shouldn't be.

Speaker 2

Making this guy stuff himself full of hot dogs.

Speaker 1

I mean I entertained yes for you know, in real, actual human purposes, Like you know, competitive eating is probably not anything we should cheer on. It's also a thing that pretty much only happened in America, right, Like we're like the only country that just like we may a sport.

Speaker 3

We're like gorgeoussel so we can laugh right exactly.

Speaker 1

Of course before we get done, like we're getting close to the end, Like we can't go through this whole episode without our Florio Film Festival. I believe, Susane. Do we have music for this? God Dyla minus one. I've been, I've been. I've been hyping this movie see you guys for months. I know, Lakwan you saw it in the theater. I wasn't lucky enough to see it in the theater. It's finally on Netflix. Floria you got to experience it

for the first time. You are a Godzilla guy. I give the floor to you on your thoughts on Godzilla minus one.

Speaker 2

Uh.

Speaker 1

I love the movie.

Speaker 4

This is what a Godzilla movie should be like in the American version of Godzilla, like we trained him to fight with us, and like, no, that would He's the monster, he's the bad guy. And that's what I loved about this is that, like it's purely based on like we need to stop this thing before he just destroys us, and.

Speaker 2

Like, yeah, the armies, like it's your problem, guys. That seems pretty realistic. I really enjoyed it.

Speaker 3

It.

Speaker 4

It's cool too because at certain parts you're like I'm just watching the the life of a young family, and then you're like, oh no, wait, there's this thing under the water that is just gonna come at some point.

Speaker 2

The only thing I didn't love was the very end.

Speaker 4

They were a little fast and the furious on us and uh and brought someone back from the dead. But besides that, I thought it was almost a flawless movie.

Speaker 2

The only thing I'll say is at.

Speaker 4

The very end when they're you know, like the planes and the boats and everything is shooting at Godzilla.

Speaker 2

I was rooting for Godzilla because I'm like, he.

Speaker 1

Didn't act.

Speaker 2

And now we're killing him for in his world, Like come on.

Speaker 1

So I will say this Godzilla is apps is actually terrifying, like actually terrifying, like the ones in the American movies. The best description I've heard is like the the the legendary picture of the Monster Verse movies. It's like it's like watching a kid smash his toys together and just like kick over buildings or whatever. Like this one. The first time you see Godzilla, right at the very beginning of the movie when he like is on the island

and stuff like that was legitimately terrifying. When he's like kicking things over, stomping on people, like eating people, like people, it just was it was like this one was actually scary because you got a sense of like how how big he is in scale, like human Like it's one thing where like Goddilla and the other movies like sleeping in the Roman Coliseum and you're like, ah, that's kind

of funny, that's cute. Like this is one like he's rampaging through Tokyo and picking up subway cars and like this is freaking terrifying.

Speaker 2

Battleship throw them like it's nothing.

Speaker 1

Yeah, yeah, this is absolutely.

Speaker 5

Terrified, And I just love the balance of it.

Speaker 1

They set it up for a you know at the end question mark, you know there, it is kind of it.

Speaker 5

They can't get lower than minus one.

Speaker 1

I was with an extra Inmmy Matthew Broderick Godilla from nineteen ninety eight. I saw that one because funny story, my college roommate was an intern doing some of the the CGI on that on that movie where he would go to his interne cool He go to his internship and like he would be there all day and he come home like, so, like, Gary, what were you working on? He's like, Oh, I make rain. Like there's like a you know scenes where it's raining. He's like, yeah, a

lot of the rain is cgi'ed. I was working on rain today. I'm like, all right, yeah.

Speaker 3

You know.

Speaker 1

The other funny part about that is I he was from the Bronx. They did a they did the premiere for the movie at Madison Square Garden. He wanted to take his brother to the premiere, but in order to do that, he had to actually book a second airplane trip from Los Angeles to New York. So He asked me if I wanted to just get a free trip to New York. He's like, I can't take it to the movie premiere, but I can get you a free

trip to New York. I'm like, hell yeah. So I got a seat on the plane, I got to fly out to New York. I got you know that, we stayed in the hotel. It was great. That same week I was there, I went to Yankee Stadium, the only time I've been to Yankee. This was the old Yankee Stadium. Went to the Yankee Stadium, and that was the day David Wells through a perfect game for the Yankees against the Minister Hungover. Yes, so yeah, that's that's my that's

my my connection to that. Otherwise kind of terrible nineteen ninety eight god Zilla movie. Yeah, yeah, anyway, I don't know if we have not picked a movie for next week ahead.

Speaker 4

I was just saying last The great thing too about the movie I thought was not just that it didn't center around Godzilla.

Speaker 2

Like it, but the shots. It was a beautifully shot movie. Just sound like it was.

Speaker 4

I understand why you told me not to watch in the phone now and to watch on the TV, like there was numerous times where like Cali would jump up because I had it so loud, but like it adds so much to me.

Speaker 1

It absolutely does, and just honestly, like you get the build up of the monster and everything, and like finally when it shows up in Tokyo and you get the Godzilla music theme for the first time, like it's it's on par with Captain America finally saying Avengers A symbol after oh, after twenty movies, he finally gives you the full Avengers A symbol and it's like an earned moment.

And it's the same thing in Godzilla Minus one, like like when you really see Godzilla in his full glory, out of the water, full size, stomping through downtown Tokyo, like I got chills for real. So yeah, yeah Cinema by the way, Hazel that says was there for one of the rain days. They also used the rain coming up from spray pipes on the roof Hydrauls. I would assume there was like some real rain there, like I would hope, like, but I know that my.

Speaker 3

Roommate was enhancing the rain.

Speaker 1

I guess.

Speaker 5

It's in the size of it drops if you will.

Speaker 1

Yeah, I don't know. If you've I don't know if you guys have ever seen it. It's the one with Ferris Bueller in it.

Speaker 2

It's not I don't think I have seen that one.

Speaker 1

I mean it might be. I'm sure it's streaming somewhere Netflix Prime. I don't know if if to be yeah, I mean, if you really want to go see it, Like it was not very good. We stay through the whole movie and watch because we want to see our friend's name show up in the credits at the end. But that was nice. We do not have a movie for next week. I don't know if you guys have

a suggestion. If anybody in the chat has a suggestion for a movie that we should watch and talk about on this show, you can drop them here, you can drop them on social media. We can uh, we'll figure out something to watch for next week for another episode of a Florial Film Festival.

Speaker 4

So I don't think it's gonna top this one. This one should have beat Oppenheimer for Movie of the Year.

Speaker 1

I mean, it was that good. It was the best movie I saw last year. And as people pointed out on the internet, it actually works as a sequel to Oppenheimer, Like you know, away you get, you get you know, you get the creation of the atomic bomb, the dropping of the atomic bomb, and in the aftermath, which is a giant aquatic lizard showing up.

Speaker 3

And destroying destroying a major Asian city.

Speaker 1

So yeah, whatever, uh, anyway, we will figure out something to watch for next week. We'll put it up on social media. Maybe we'll put up a poll if we got two or three. I know you said your grandma had some some options for us, right.

Speaker 5

Yes, you know. She's a nineties action fanatic. And it's kind of crazy because I'm like, why didn't I ask you from the beginning, like you were the library, like all those movies I watched as a kid, or from her, like the Chuck Norris is the the John Claude Van Damn movies, like all the bad movies, like Time Cop, Like, yeah, that's from her.

Speaker 1

I will watch The Big Lebowski every day of the week if you ask me to, Like you've never seen it.

Speaker 5

Oh, never seen it? That might be it might that might be it?

Speaker 3

All right then, thanks, Hazel.

Speaker 1

And I think I think I think we may be watching the Dude and his Misadventures throughout Southern California. I think that's it because I can always I can watch The Big Lebowski every day of the week.

Speaker 3

So maybe that's it. Maybe we'll do that one.

Speaker 1

We'll put out it. We'll put out a pole. We've got a couple of options to see what people vote for. So I think that's a good spot. We went a little long, but but it was fun, it was worthwhile. We answered a lot of questions. We appreciate you. That was buzzing in the chat as always appreciate you commenting like subscribe, tell two friends, to tell two friends. Thanks to Susie for putting us up and getting us on off and running.

Speaker 3

Florial Enjoy San Diego. Thank you show. It's gonna be like seventy.

Speaker 1

Two degrees every single day, so because that's what it always is in San Diego.

Speaker 2

It's beautiful right now, always, always.

Speaker 1

Always great, and that's why they call themselves America's finest city. I don't know if I fully agree, but while you're down there, go to Hodads and get a burger. It's a good time anyway. That'll do it for this edition of the cheat sheet. For Florio for the quad and Marcus, thank you for hanging out with us. Enjoy the weekend, everybody. We'll talk to you again soon.
