In this special episode of Native Opinion, we simulcasted the Mark Charles presidential campaign's online virtual convention. This convention had two purposes. First, the campaign is working on getting Mark's name on the ballot in the state of Washington. To do that, they need to collect 1,000 signatures during a convention, and due to COVID-19, the state of Washington only allows that convention held virtually.
The campaign is asking registered voters in the state of Washington to register on its website to demonstrate their attendance. They will also collect signatures on a petition to get Mark's name on the ballot.
The second purpose of this convention is to rally our supporters throughout the country, and our campaign is thrilled to announce my running mate at this convention! With the announcement of Mark's VP, the door is now open for the campaign to begin the process of filing to be a write-in candidate in 36-38 states. We also need to get their names on the ballot in 3-5 states, thus ensuring that people in 41 states, including DC, will have the option to vote for our ticket in the General Election on November 3.
