Terrorist of Love w/ Josh Martinez

It was a long episode, but I felt like it wasn't so long to where I was like, Okay, right, is it over? I felt like, oh, you're I'm here, I'm here. Oh, I'm here, I'm here. I stay focused in the episode the entire time. They gave us some good stuff. Although I would like to have a conversation with TJ because where were all of these twists and turns when I was playing a game like I would have loved these extra Mario Luigi lives to be able to come back into the game like hello, that's fair.

I could have used though. Those that's those are those are the questions to ask? That is one hundred percent true because they're getting time after time to come back. So only did they get to come back in the house, they now get to compete again to automatically go back into the game, right because they're doing and an instant sort of like almost like two eliminations by having the three teams go against each other one gets to stay and then doing another one competition that we'll see again

next week. A lot was going on. You know, I liked the daily I don't love that it wasn't a cumulative timed event, which we'll talk about in time Out and gold Stars Day. Let's start with you, though, Who is your gold Star of the week and why y'all know me? I'm always rooting for the little engine that could because I think I'm the little engine that could, and so Harassio did it for me um this this episode.

Definitely he was a little engine that could because going into that elimination, baby, all of I would have been broke, broke as a joke with a hope, because all of my money was on Jordan, Okay, and he came out and he just fucked that's all he did. Yeah, And you know what he did. He beat Jordan at his own game, like we'll talk a little later. How I bring up the elimination with Jordan and Josh, how he was mental instead of strength. That's exactly what had Rosie

at the time. He psyched him out, baked him out. I mean hood too. He did that really really well, who's your time out of the week? Fasty don't take it personally, Okay, I appreciate you as a human being, but baby, I was not a fan of how you hit that light switch when Mariah came back. Because listen, when he thought he was out of the game, it was darkness. Okay, like his whole world came to a stop.

But as soon as she walked through and TJ let them know, Okay, gonna be with your partner, then it's us. We're back together. It's this is the Drake voice. Yep, I'm not a fan. I'm not a fan. That's fair. That's fair for my gold stars. I have to say, there, you know a couple honorable mentions, you know, one of them being surprisingly bananas and glasses. I thought he looked really cute and glasses, So I'm just gonna put that out yet, that was great. Devin and his rap name

Young Dagger, thought that was also loved that moment. Loved you know, props too, Fessie, because I thought he would be one to really struggle on the daily because he's so tall and because he has big feet and the pole is so small and so just navigating that it's more surface area that he has to cover, like that

makes it harder. But he killed it, and as we find out in today's interview, sounds like twice when he both times that he killed it, and we know TJ said it was his time alone that made his team win. So I'm gonna have to say my gold star almost goes to Fessie, but really it's gonna go to Harassio because the grace with which he won and that fabulous hair. He looked great doing it. I know I'm not the super visual, but really, I mean, you know, call it

is what it is. But but we see him win, and we see him do so in the opposite way that Sarah Lacina did it for the Challenge USA. You know, Sarah wins like you know, drawing chicken bones and cutting necks and all of that, and Harassio is just like, yeah, kat one and coming back He's doing doing it with such Grace. I don't know how he's doing it and managing to keep his cool. And then for my timeouts of the week, you know, there are a couple other

honorable mentions. I don't love the way Jordan was treating Tory still, Like, I just don't love the way that he kind of talks to her. Not a huge fan of that. Also, don't love that Johnny compared Harassio to a venereal disease um and is you know when he said that Harassi was like herpes and just won't go away, like, you know, side eyed that a little bit, but ultimately I'd say my timeout goes to and we love him.

Here on the podcast, Chauncey p Jordan the fact that he just quit like that and was just like Nope, I'm not even gonna try, Like I I just can't, you know. And I saw Amber run back to when they got put back into the Pairents. She's like, I'm glad to be with my baby, and I'm thinking, but are you really though? Is your partner just I you know, I get it, but like he really just out of everybody up there, was the only one that was like, I'm not even gonna try and and that part I

don't love. So I'm sorry, CHAUNCYP. We still love you, but yo behind needs to go sit in time out. Also, I have a lot of questions for Tory. When is she coming back, Questions for Tory about what's happening come home, how she feels, what's going on. When Jordan got eliminated, I thought maybe Tory can get some peace, and she got about thirty seconds of it and came right on back in the house. So a lot going on, but

Yes, I'm so excited that you decided to come and hang out with us. Man. This season has been chaotic. It's been kayodic on social media and on the actual show. Have you been seeing things on social media that's like you? Oh, I mean every

day every Wednesday? I think. Honestly, I keep up with the show mainly on social media. Have really good friends on it that obviously keep me up to speed and have totally kind of what went down. But I haven't really watched. I watched a few episodes here in there, but it is a little hard for me to get into. I'm not gonna lie, but yeah, I keep up with I mean, I can't detach myself. I have people that are like family on there, so yes, So why is

it hard for you to watch it? Josh? Well, I'm gonna let you start this day because I still have so many questions to be answered. Um, but I don't know. I think at first it was pretty hard. You know. I've been so I've been part of the show for a few years and I've done five straight seasons, so for me to not be on and the way it all went down and kind of just like threw me off.

But now with the time that went by, it's probably the best thing that happened for me, because mentally, I feel like I needed to detach a little bit, you know. So let's rewind for those listeners who aren't in the Twitter streets or in Day's neighborhood, since she is the mayor of Twitter. For what's going on you, Day, alleged, you know, mentioned you guys were going to be right or dies. There's rumors you guys were going to be on this season. There are rumors of you know, one

or both of you backing out. Can you just clear up walk us through what really happened. Were you actually supposed to be on the season and then ultimately and this is for both of you, m Josh, you just said you kind of are happy that it worked out the way that it did day I'd like to know if you feel that same way or if you wish you guys could have been on this season. You want

to go first, No, I'll let you go. Okay, So first of all, Josh, you went on a podcast and said I backed out, and that's not what happened at all. I didn't back out of the season. I was not medically cleared. Now, those of you who know, I have been battling with fibroids since I had my daughter, and so this particular time, it was really really bad and I didn't get medically clear to be able to do the show from my main doctor, not MTV is doctor, my doctor. I wasn't medically clearer to go and so

I couldn't do it this time. But I did not back out. I was more than ready to go. Okay, And yes, we were one hundred percent confirmed to be Righted Eyes this season. Yes, okay, so that's yeah, that's okay. So that's my I'm sorry, I love you, that is true. My only thing will with that whole situation was I we were flying out. We got our boarding not our boarding passes, but we got told we were flying out Saturday. I didn't find out you were not clear till that Tuesday.

I think it was Tuesday morning. So I was packed, everything was packed. I was ready to go. And then they call me and they're like, hey, um, Davon can't make it on. Can your sisters still get confirmed to go on the show? And I said what? So they literally that night blew out my sister after they originally wanted my sister and I said no, and I entertained it for a little bit and I was like, you know what, I can't do the show. I can't put my family on it. And what did your sister say

about it? Did she want to do it? Yeah? Maybe it was game made. It was down. This is the thing. This would have been my sixties season and I was going, I was going in. I haven't made a final, I hadn't won, Like my intention is solely to just go in there and win. Now, Like that's where my mind's at, and maybe is good. But she's not athletically bailed and mentally she's I mean if I'm an emotional wreck eighties like times ten, So yeah, maybe agree to that or

would she look at you? Okay, she would agree. Okay, let's tell the truth. Maybe it's absolutely drop dead gorgeous. I want those people there calls all over her, That's what it was, Okay, gorgeous, And it's like, y'all are not about how did you making this call for her?

Because I feel like, you know, uh, that's a big decision and I totally get why you would feel that way, and like Day said, you probably didn't want you know, them them boys in the house all over, But that's also a big decision for someone else's life too, So like, how did your sister feel about you making that call of not wanting her to come on? Well, I mean, daven can kind of speak on the two shrees. Met my family and we're all we all love her to death.

But I think my family, like my life back home is so peaceful, my my sister lives a really good life. And for me, it was more of like I've struggled, like not to get all deep and stuff, but I struggled really bad with our men. Yeah, I've struggled with my mental health really bad from just dealing with not the show to say, but kind of the hate and the aftermath that comes with being on the show. And for me, that was the biggest decision. I was like, I cannot. My sister's a model and she you know,

she's been doing this since she was thirteen. I was like, God forbid, you know, they already fucking I get so much shit online and I can do with it. I'm at the point where I'm numb and I accepted and I don't care anymore. But like, I wouldn't want to bring my family into it, and then they have to deal with that, and I kind of see it a little bit with Kenny and Casey, so so I was kind of like, you know what, like this is my world,

this is my life. You didn't sign up for this, So I, in a sense, it was me protecting her. Do I wish do I wish it would have gone that route. No. But then when production called me after I turned that down, production calls me to like, hey, what do you think about Davon she pitched you. I was like, wait what, I didn't even know if she was doing this show. I was like, yeah, I literally I was scrack. Maybe forget her. That's it. It was like early I want to say it was early eight.

I think it was even March. Still, it was early. It was really early on into the casting process and I was like done, I'm sold. I don't need to say anything more. M They're like sending a two minute video on like guys, Dave onto my partner. So we were locked. Ye from the very we were pretty much locked from the very start. And yeah, and then it just it didn't happen, which sucks. But I think for me I would have. I think me and Davon would have done really well. Man. I think we would have

been really good socially Game one. She's a based and I think we would have done. I think we would have made the final. Honestly, you know what, I'm gonna be very honest. I believe you are a staple on this show, but I also agree with you you needed a break. Do you need a break for many reasons. For one, for you, I feel like you and just everything about you, you needed a break and you needed to reset and restart. But also because I do be

in these Twitter streets. Okay, Yes, people have started to see that the show needs you. They've recognized your absence and like, dang, if Josh was here, at least we would get this. If Josh was here, we get that. If Josh was here, he would have brought this. So people have noticed what the show was like without you, you know what I mean, a lot of people aren't really happy about it. So that's good. You gave people an opportunity to miss you, you know, and to grow

up that facial hair because it's looking good. But it's looking good, Josh, kind of little deck swag going on. It's good, like you know, yeah, for when you do come back. So does this mean, then, Josh and you day okay, that we came on to seeing either of you on a future season of the Challenge. Davon cough cough, Davon, Yeah, take this one away. I'm gonna let you handle that question. Um, I think you guys can find me right here on the podcast that that was not the question and we're

not gonna let it ride. And just for you guys who don't know our listeners, Davon said to me, what was this like two years ago? We were in La? Uh huh? And for those who don't know, I am a matchmaker. That is actually my normal and real and I was speaking at the Black Love Summit in La and day she did, she did, and it was wonderful having there and I was like, day, are you gonna go back? Like she was like, girl, I'm never doing

that again. I'm not doing it. And I was like really, She's like nope, And then here we come here and that she was gonna be ride er dies with Josh and a mind you. She and I have keptain Texas whole time, and she's over here like inching her way towards. So I want to know, with Davon, is there a good chance we will see you within the next couple of seasons back on the challenge and don't like and

see your face right now. I also want to point out that if everything is, if I would have gotten here, I wouldn't be on the podcast, so we wouldn't have been down before. While you're gone, keep your seat at the table for when you come back, just like we do with Tori and Anissa. Now, Davon, yes or no? Question, Can them folks because they you know, they want to see Now you're just teasing your creup. Can your folks expect to see you at some point in the next

few seasons back on the Challenge? Yes or no? I mean, we don't know what God has in store for my life. I also I like to add to that, and I think you know, Davon can admit there's not one season that goes by that I don't call Davon and I'm like, did you say yes? Every signs I sign my contract, I'm like, send me a photo of you signing your contracts, Like, no, not doing it started, don't you guys become so close?

Like for those who don't know, obviously you guys both have the Big Brother background and the Challenge background, But how did you two become so close? It was Big Brother. Um, he won his season and I came. I came to his finale and then I came on stage. I just hugged him and I just held him so tight, and it was just like this instant connection. And then we went to Vegas and that was like that was it.

We went to Vegas, and the bond was just ridiculous from that point on, Like nobody will tell me anything about him like that one of my brother He's been learning about Josh and Vegas. Dave. Josh is a quiet Okay. We had no we had a really we had a really good time. But day has always been like family. I don't even think Dave knows the story. I honestly give a lot of credit to even my TV, like Big Brother was because of Dave on like I so

I don't. I tried out for her original season season seventeen, and I was the semi finalists and I didn't get on, and I was yeah, and I was obsessed with the show. I mean, I was a huge fan. And I watched her that summer and instantly my family that was like our family show. We don't really watch to be a big brother survivor. That's like my dad's thing. And I remember watching Davon and it was Davon and Victor for me. Victor was on that season also, and they just gave

me hope. I was like, you know what, like, God, damn, I connected with this guy, connected with this guy so much. I was like they were such like I was just rooting for them, like I was a fan. I was a fan first. I was a fan of Dave first, and then you know, and then I get to meet her, and when I got off of the show, I didn't have well, I see her, and then they gave me kind of like all right, I'm gonna go for this one more time. And then two years later, I get on my season and I win, but I get off

of the show. I didn't have much a lump support, and Davon was always somebody like, hey, if you need anything, I know it's tough, you can call me, and I was getting shipped by a lot of big brother alm so for her to like extend that olive branch and just show that love, and I was like, damn it. And I was a fan of you. I was like, I fucking love this girl. Um and then I come

out to the challenge and she takes me in. So I was like, dude, it's always been nothing but love and someone that I look at like family, and like I owe her so much. As she doesn't know that, you know. That's what I was going to bring up

a lot of people who don't know. But you are the reason me and Amanda are friends, Amanda Garcia, you are the sole reason that her and I are friends because remember when you came back on War of the World, because she became your partner and she was my enemy, Like my whole goal that season was to take her

out as easily and as quickly as possible day. But when she became your partner, I was like, damn, I got a protector because she was her brother, Like I have no choice, but yeah, I was very protective of you that season, and everybody had it. And so it was just like when they when we were talking about writer Dies, I was like, duh, who else? Yeah, No, I agree, I completely agree. Oh you guys. Um, speaking of writer Dies, let's talk a little bit about this episode. Yeah,

a lot happened. I mean, I'm not gonna lie. I don't know about y'all, but it felt like it was the longest day and challenge history in this episode. Like a lot was happening and he just kept going and going. There was a lot, and I'm glad that we got to see a lot, but it felt I know, if it felt like a long day for us watching it, it had to feel like for the people that were actually competing. Yeah. Uh, Josh, what did you think about the Daily? Um? The Nightly? Right? It was good? Listen.

I Like I said, I haven't really watched the season, but I'm so hooked just watching this episode that i think I'm gonna go back and just bench watched the whole thing because it was so good. U such a great episode, And honestly, it was so much that I kind of forgot. Okay, Josh, you know what I was rooting for you when they were walking on the beach, they were at night Okay, we listen. I'm just invested in. I'm not gonna lie to you. I'm that last elimination,

but we'll get to that anyways. Um, the beam. That's why I love the show, and that's one of the reasons why I'm going to come back, because of that adrenaline junkie ship where you're faced with your fear and you have no escape but to fucking face it, like you cannot chu and just not do it much. I can't. I'm sorry. I'd rather I'd rather die. I'm sorry. Oh but man, my respect just went down below the floor.

I care if you shit the bed. I don't care if you bed or if you have a horrible fucking round, but at least give it a try. Um, And that's what the challenge is about. You get me, You're gonna where where? Like what other show are you standing on the side of a fucking building going down the front like? So this is the opportunity for you to challenge yourself, um, and kind of put yourself to the test and face

your fear. So, I mean, I'm not gonna shit on the guy, but yeah, it was kind of lame to see that, but you know, at least give it a go. He didn't even try at all. And I didn't love that the team didn't really get penalized for that, especially since the other team anyway was at a seat disadvantage with like fewer players, you know, arguably not as strong players. Um,

I didn't love that. You know, if they had done something where it was like cumulative time, then you know, we're like, if one player doesn't do it, then that's automatically three minutes added to your total time of how long it took her something, and not a kind of yeah, so that it kind of balanced out for the other team. But I didn't love that he just kind of got like a eye roll and then nothing else happened to him.

And I kind of feel, you know, yeah, not like our prison system, which is messed up in a lot of ways, but at the very least he shouldn't been able to vote, you know, like you commit a felon that you can't. But like, I don't know, they were just I felt like, he really, she's not season it'll come back or a future episode did it'll come back to bite him because people aren't going to forget that. But I just really didn't like that he was able to be like no, not really going to do it

and then faced no repercussions at all. Like, I agree, I agree, Josh, how do you think we would have done? I know it wasn't with your ride or die, but if it were, how do you think we would have done on that daily? Well, you've done you're good. You're good at things. I think you're kind of the same way. Like we would have been scared shitless, but we would have done it. You know, have coordination though, Well, we would have had it so scared. This is the thing.

I'm like, this show has completely canny curse on here. Yeah, yes, that's completely fucked up my mind. Like I am driven by fear now, I'm like, I'm scared of it. There's no like I went. I went um, you know, like I went skydiving. I was like, can we go higher? I was like, this is fucking nuting, Like I'm so driven by being scared of shit. But I do love heights, So I think we would have done good. The ballots part probably would have sh but uh, I don't know.

I think we would have done all right. I just want to point out there I want to heights challenge and I want to blindfold it. Get a girl agree. I agree, I remember that. Okay, yeah, I mean I don't think. But the elements here that were interesting is it wasn't just heights. I'm with you two. I love a good heights challenge, Like the higher, the better I'm

off were it. And I like seeing people get scared because it usually means those that aren't scared having advantage right to a degree because you're not tripping up of it. So I always love that when people are like, oh my god, heights or oh my god, water, I'm like, yes, yeah, but uh where it's endurance, I'm like, oh, hell, but the big Like, I was surprised that Bessie did so well because with the beam being so narrow and small and those little round things they had to like dance along.

I feel like a disadvantage just having big just being tall, right, you have more to balance having big feet, right, because you're you're balancing with someone else's feet, so you need to like make room for them to be able to

stand on the board or whatever with him. Yeah. Yeah, I was really shocked that Bessie killed it like that because I thought they would probably struggle the most because again, trying to fit both feet on the thing at the same time, Were you guys surprised by that or who would you who would you have guessed at the beginning of that, Josh, I know you don't even remember the daily, but just picking people who were competing, why would you

have thought would have probably won that one? Um, honestly, I thought Jordan's good, crafty, and he's good at all these type of ships, like he's built for these type of challengers. But um, you know, Fessie is one of my really good friends. But I think with him looking like leaving the friendship beside, this guy has proven time after time what a great fucking competitor he is. Like you know, people people say, oh, headbangers, that's the only thing.

He's gone into every style of headbangers this game has to offer, and he's won them. And now he does a balance thing. A little backstory because he did kind of tell me this. He's like, you need to watch the next episode. He had the two fastest times, So he had the fastest time with Kasey and then he had the fastest time with Tory. Yeah, but he had the two fastest times and you would be shocked because you got Johnny. I mean Johnny's a seven time. He's

seen this ship a million times. You would think, yeah, but he doesn't give me like balance and agility vibes. He gives me a lot of vibes. But I don't know if that's the one he bought. I think john was pretty good at that type of stuff. Uh, FESSI with Casey just because I felt like the equilibrium of it all, Yeah, that's what. Yeah. Crazy, but he picked her up like a baby and said right part like he took said come on. So that was definitely good to watch, Josh. I love that you mentioned how Fessi

is your friend out here in these Twitter streets. I just want to address something. Okay, streets, you, Tory, Casey, Fessie, Nannie Now, I think Devin and I think Anissa now are all considered the vacation Alliance. I want you to talk to me about the Vacation Alliance. But I also want you to tell me because I've watched you on these seasons with these group of people, and I want to know where you think you stand in the pecking order of that alliance. Okay, So that's a really really

good question. I think it all stems you know what I don't know if they're going to agree to this or not, but I do feel like I'm gonna get for once, I'm gonna give myself credit and a pat on the back. I think that we did a season together. I can't remember. I think it was no no double agents. We all hated each other. The next I had gone on a trip with Anissa, Devin and Tory. And what people don't really see is that game aside on a

personal level, we live together. We get to know each other so good and we know that dynamic, and they have been nothing but supportive and honestly just fucking the best kind of friends to me, like just checking in on my mental health, making sure that I'm good. Am

I in the house, having my back? So I think I was kind of the glue with the stem between Casey and Bessie and that whole other, you know, with Devin and Tori and Anissa, because there was trust issues, you know, there was this big like can we trust Devon? Can we trust Tory? So that's why it's kind of funny for me to see the dynamic of me not being in the picture on this season. I was like, Okay, I'm kind of seeing how they and I see that

they are pretty tight. But I think that I was kind of the one that was like, listen, we can trust them in a game format. On a personal level, we all vibe so well. We all have such a good friendship, and we're kind of like a family. So I think that people, you know, even though there's this whole game aside, I spend so I spend more time with these people than I do with my own family that I see once a year in Jersey, you know. So it's kind of crazy that you build these strong

bonds in the pecking order. I think I wouldn't get picked. I think that they would all look out and I think be like, let's put dash aside. I know what, I genuinely do believe that, and I think that's what makes it hard for me in the game. I take this. When I'm in the game, it becomes my reality, and that becomes my world, and these relationships feel so much

more intense. So it's kind of nice taking one season off and not to be honest with you, Okay, so before we go any further, we need to take a quick break. We'll be right back after this. I wanted to add ask you I feel like on these shows, and I'm not going to speak for everybody, but a good portion of people that I've talked to, including myself,

not that I talked to myself, but I've experienced this. Okay, there's always this one moment on a show that we've been on, whether it was a competition or just whatever the case may be, that it's kind of like cringe, like damn. If I could take that back, I would, If I could redo that, I would. Let's just talk competition only, right, what challenge or whether daily or elimination?

Do you wish you can get a redo? On my first, very first, literally my premiere episode my rookie season, I think that that was the most you know, I come up in my season, I'm the winner, big brother. I can tell by the producers there was this excitement. Or that's just me being in my own head being gassed on myself, but I can tell there was like, you know, they're like, all right, we want to see what this kid's got and I go home the first fucking try.

I think there were people I was so bad and you were I think everyone was rooting for me, and you know, I'm not to make excuses but getting leaked, the anxiety, the build up, the sleep deprivation, like there was my mind was fried. Like my brain was fried. You could have thrown like eight times nine and I wouldn't feel bad. And I put this pressure on me, but I think, yeah, I can just scratch that off of my little challenge history. That would be it. My

first time. I thought you were gonna say the elimination between you and Jordan, because that was mental. He mentally fit you. He did, he did, But you know why I don't. And this is the thing. I always get shited on for that elimination, But honestly, Jordan is Jordan, and Jordan, you know, that elimination went on for an over an hour and thirty minutes. That was the longest

elimination I've ever been a part of. Physically, my body gave out, But you know, I grew so much respect for him, and at that point we had become such good friends in the game, like it was kind of it was us against the cult, if you want to say, um so, that's that's really the season that made me grow so much respect in love for Jordan, and like, no, the guy's a champ, He's a three time four time champ. So it's like, um, you know, if I could have gone out to anybody, it would have been that now

there would have been a regular touch of war. I wouldn't have lost. But you put a two hundred and thirty pound man on a plane, it's gonna be tough, exactly. So it just wasn't in the cards for me. But no, not that one at all. Um. If anything, you know, I grew a lot more respect to the guy. And speaking of like a psych out watching today's elimination, I mean they were kind of multiple in a way. Yes, when we saw that it was going to be Harassio and Jordan, who would you have put your money on

at the start, and be honest, both of you? Jordan Jordan. I I felt Jordan, but I don't know. There was a moment like before they even started that I kind of was like, like, Jordan is tough and by no means what I ever want to seem an elimination. But I thought, you know, Poppisito or whatever we were called already forgot the nickname. We have hot bad daddy. Yes, Um, I thought that there was a chance that he would

pull it out. I think I still feel like people are still sleeping on Harassio, who now has the Tide record for most elimination wins in a single season. He up there with legendary people, I mean, and he's still doing it with a smile on his face. And dare I say he looks better every time? I don't know, I don't know WHI just like winners or what. But he looks even sexier every time than he does it. And yet like people still keep underestimating him and put it.

Oh for sure, because even Bessy said, oh, I see you now now they should have seen him before seven episodes ago. If you guys are in the house and competing as Rider dies, do you think you would have an Obviously it's we're just like kind of guessing because

you know we're sitting back and watching. But do you think that you two as a team probably would have aligned with Olivia Harassio or like had them on your side, or do you think you would have kind of gone with we're seeing what we're seeing a lot of the Vets do, which is target Harassio. What do you think

would have been each of you all strategy? I'll let you answer that, Josh, because these are for some reason, I feel like we would have been a part of I would have been somehow a part of the vacation alliance. I don't know how this would have played out. I think that would have been gone because you would have had your ties. But I had strong relationships going in. But besides that, I met Olivia and Arassio when we were in Argentina while I was waiting for Davon to

poot that flight I was. I was in sequester with them and I got told I was an alternate, so they were also alternatives. Yeah, So we were in a hotel I want to say for probably over a week, and I got to meet Olivia and I remember just having a thirty minute conversation with this and I was like, if you make it on the show, you're gonna be come a regular. I was like, we hit it off, we vibed, and who Roster Just Roster is just such a genuine dude. Like I'm a very I'm I'm like

a walking m path. I don't know, it's weird. I like feel energy. I feel like I know when I meet a good person, and that guy's are really good dude. So to see the success that he's having I cannot be happier for him. Um, I feel like he's so deserving of it. But also, the guy's a great fucking athlete. He is so good. Yeah, yeah, he is so good. So it's it's it's translating, And I'm really excited for his future on the show. And I know that him and him and Olivia are going to be regular, so

it'll be back again. This won't be the last time, and I'm just excited to see what else he's gonna bring to the table. Because he's on the way to a final on his rookie season. Yeah, so lucky. But also he fucking earned it, so I'm excited for him. I mean, only some of the best make it to a final that was on the way to answer without answering that was great out answering you, thank you. Day we will get Josh back to that and only some of the best rookies making to a final on their

rookie season. Cough cough. Um now, yes, So do you think you guys would have been targeting and day you didn't answer, y'all would been targeting. You would have been targeting Harassi. Yeah, yeah, targeting for sure, Poor Harassio that's so wrong, just because not anything against them, just because my relationships at that point, I was so, you know, I have strong friendships. I can't I'm not gonna go against my friends against you know, somebody that I wouldn't.

Guys be concerned, Like, I'm just surprised that, like the way they spoke about earlier in the season, some of these people who had shown less so far. I mean, hell, Bananas has shown less so far. Now. I know he has seven rings to his name. I get it, he's the Ariana Grande of the challenge, but I feel like he's shown less than Harassio and the way people speak about like, oh, you know Bananas and sort of fear

him versus ROSSI, who has shown every time. Now, regardless of who you put down here and what do you put at me, I'm gonna bring the house down, you know. Like I'm surprised people aren't starting the shift and be like, all right, let me before it's too late, at least readjust and find some room. I don't know, and my travel bag for Harassio so he can join this vacation alliance or in they can't get him out. But that's what I'm saying like bring him, so bring him in

because you keep going. At some point, Harassi is gonna wake up. He hasn't. It doesn't seem like yet or maybe because he hasn't been in a position of really winning, but at some point he's gonna wake up and be like, all right, I'm firing shots back, you know what I mean? Like you guys, keep what do you want to say to day? I see it, like you know, and I totally agree with you, But I think it's like a rookie thing. I think you're a rookie season, you have

a stain. There's a stain on it. No matter how great you are, there's still a stain on you, and we can't be attached to that staying. We watched him do the same thing with Cam on her rookie season. It wasn't until she started to come back and come back and come back, you know, on other seasons that people were like, Okay, now we want to align, you know what I mean? And I think that's the same thing that's gonna happen with him. He's he has a

stain right now because it's his rookie season. But once he comes back, it's like I have to have him with me. I believe that. I agree, And I also want to say it's easy to focus on the vacation alignes because you know they've been on the path. We've been on the past few seasons kind of doing that game. But this has been the game since the challenge started, Like you know, it's always target the rookies. I mean

West is this is why West right. I think his rookie season he won five eliminations, is because he kept getting that treatment. It's been done since the past. This is not a news but not always. It's not a new thing, but it's not done always. That's not always well. Also with also with a dynamic, with the dynamic of

the game. If it's set up like that, where like you have numbers that you're aligned with and you know you have a few, you have a rookie rookie team, it's it's pretty, it's an easy vote, and you don't you know, you don't get your hands dirty. Is it the best to watch? No, But when you're playing for a million dollars and I'm not aligned with you, guess what then you're getting thing. Even with being aligned with him,

I've watched enemies come together and get the rookies out. Yeah, we're talking about like spies, lies and allies and double agents. Though that rookie stuff isn't as they start to infuse the show with more people, I feel like going in with that mentality every time is going to bite you in the ass because we have some rookies like Harrassio and in spise, lies and allies like like an Emmy who were coming in and showing like they're better than some of the old heads, and he'd be why, or

like an Amber who won on her rookie seat, you know. Like, like y'all, I don't think it's smart to go in the world is evolving. The game is evolving too, and while there's benefits of having these big alliances, I think it's important not to get too comfortable there right because and give you guys first move advantage. I'm just trying to strategize with y'all for win both of you, including

you day go back into the challenge house. You know, so when you guys go in and there are new rookies, if you see someone win in a couple eliminations are strong, maybe branch out and open up that arm. Because the same way josh See's day as a ride or die right because Day welcomed him in like right when he big brother and dadda dah. You guys could like have an advantage and have this like super team behind you of strong rook. He's not the dumb ones that are

making out and sleep with everybody else. I'm not talking about that early, but I might be, but the really strong one and that could like give you guys an advantage. I'm just that's just I think I completely agree, and I think off of that. For me personally, I have to like vibe with you and see that you're somebody

that I can trust in the game. I guess over time you've proved that to me, and then or you show me that, and then I'm the type of person where I'm so loyall fucking I'll have your back and I'll try to do this all that I can for you. But I think you know, when you have friendships that are strong, it is a little hard. But yeah, I think I mean and ROSSI is doing that. You see the friendship that he has built, how close he's gotten with Jordan. You see how everybody kind of likes him

in the house. But I think I think when he comes back for his future season, I think he cemented in he has he's gonna have strong allies that are gonna want to help him and have his back. Um, for sure, yeah I have to because I had Alissa in the hot seat about it. But Tori is also one of your really good friends. Right, how do you feel about this entire Jordan and Tory situation? Dude, it's fucking I'm not I'm gonna be honest with you. It's hard to watch. So a little backstory. You know, Tory

lives in Miami. She's one of my really good friends. She's been somebody that has always been in my corner and I feel like I'm indebted to, you know, always. I feel like I owe her so much on a personal level. She has helped me so much as a man, as a friend. She's just a really, really good friend. So I love the girl to death, but it is really hard. She had no idea. She was completely blindsided

when she saw Jordan on the cast. I remember when we were training, we were doing yoga, doing berries, fucking running, doing CrossFit. I was like, well, she's like, Josh, are going so hard to take a break and I kept throwing scenarios. I was like, well, I'm gonna go get ct I'm gonna go against Jordan, so I'm training it to go against trath Alon. She's like, he's not gonna be on the show. He's not coming back. I was like, I mean, you never know, So she had no idea Jordan.

I remember Jordan was in Mexico with one of my good friends. We were flying out the next morning. He was partying in Mexico. I think Jordan got the call a few days before we were already flying out, so I don't think he even knew. So just imagine both of them kind of I mean, he knew Tory was on, but Tory being blindsided to then have to deal with your ex fiance. I fought my best friend on the show, and that felt heavy. Imagine your ex fiance like coming

on the show. You you haven't talked in so much time, and this is being a camera in your face, and you're being faced with not only playing a game with this guy, but then all your emotions and everything. It's hard to watch. I feel for her, and I'm empathetic to both of them because it is really sat and knowing both of them so well, not to get too deep into their story. They're such good fucking people. Besides what all you guys see like, they have such good hearts.

So I know that they fight hard and they love hard, and that shit is real. So I think with me, I would not I would have stayed the fuck away from and be like, Yo, this is y'all, y'all fight, I'm sorry, I'm not touching it. That interrogation scene was hard. Yeah, that was a really hard moment. Did you guys expect her to say, like before they actually did the nominations when they were down in the zone, did you think that she was gonna say Jordan's name? What did either

of you? Yes? It would have been great TV. Great great TV for sure, great TV. I agree, um, But honestly, knowing her heart, I don't think she would. I mean you kind of see it in the episode. They both they're fighting, they're arguing all this stuff, but then they go into confessionals and they're like, I still have love for you, like you know, I love you so much. Love there there is because the opposite of love isn't hate, it's indifference. So like when you stop loving someone is

when you genuinely just don't care. You know, when you get to that place with an X that you're like, I don't know what they're doing. I don't I don't care what the like. Yeah, that's that's when there's the love is gone. But when you really get fired up, like Jordan the same, he tries to like, I feel like have a level pretend to show like a level head, but he gets I feel like when he's triggered, it comes out in anger. When she's trigger that comes out

sometimes in anger but also sometimes in tears. And um, yeah, they both clearly love each other very much. Now it seems like a toxic gass love for those listening. Don't let that be. There is a relationship. He says to her, you are a terrorist of love. We got to have a definition of a terrorist talking about holding it hot. I'm like, I don't know that botanic a definition of a terrorist, But okay, it was funny what he called their tear Like I've thought about that multiple times since

that episode. You know what, and and and Toy would have been in the right if she would have made the move. She had all the justifications to be like, all right, well you kind of fucked up my game, the last one with my friends. So here, see, Josh, this is why you get into toxic stuff too. And really I would one. I would have held that one. I love. She did right, she did the right thing,

She did the right thing. If she doesn't she didn't have a tight bond with Harassio, like it'd be different, and like, obviously she's best to us with Devin, so she's not gonna Devin. And like if she didn't have a tight, tight, tight bond with Harassio, then Davon shaking her head, Davon, would you've done something toxic too? Because I know Davon gets mad because I haven't put her in the database yet for matching. But see, it's those

topic thoughts. Devin, you're going in, You're going in. Say what you said in the group chat about people coming back? Go ahead, I said a lot, So which one are

you talking about? You can tell a lot. No, when you were like the Jordan comment, when you were like when they bring them back. Do you not even remember I said, oh, Jordan's not gone. No, you said, oh, Jordan got eliminated, and production we gotta come up with something today. Jordan was gone for fifteen seconds and they were like, no, no, that was so good. Although I don't tell me if you guys felt this way, So like, I love the twist. I love that, like I loved.

One of the best episodes I feel like in recent memory was the first time we saw the elimination and then TJ called the player back, you know, when everybody was gone and be like you're not out of the game, like still jaw dropping moment, and there's a lot of builds up for yes, when the rest of the players find out that their partners are still there. And so I love the tjts sort of like, hey, you can't play without a partner, and you know, people thought they

were going home. But I don't know if it's because of like the people who did get eliminated or some thing. I don't know, But when they came back, I didn't feel quite as like inspired as I thought I would have. I was like, oh, okay, but I felt it for Anissa her face yeah rightless like she lit up like Christmas, Thanksgiving, turkey ham, all of it. She lived up. Oh yeah, I even think it looked like she was about to start crying. Yeah, I did, you know what I mean, like,

I'm back in I'm back in the game, right right. Yeah, So I really I felt it for her, Fessy, I just kind of was annoyed. But now all of a sudden, it's like, oh, we're back and we and we and we. Oh you speak French now, because at first it was I, I, me and I. You know what. So I have so much opinions on the Maria. I don't know. I don't know where to start. I just don't know. I literally saw Mariah two days ago and I kind of told her like I was like, I'm really not fucking with you,

Like you're not that I'm not working with her. I think Maria is a cool girl, but I'm gonna be honest with you. As some as an outsider watching the situation and then also knowing the dynamic being around these people hanging out in Orlando, it just it just you know, it's for me, the first thing that throws me off. It's like it's really corny when you're doing podcasts and you're tweeting and you're saying all this stuff about Fest. Listen Fest doesn't have the best rap. He gets some

stuff in situations. I get it. It's easy to hate the guy. Um, but dude, you you already know what he goes through to then kind of add to that, you can have your experience and you can have you know what you went through. And I know that he did fuck up. And I haven't really watched the show, but I know that he answer. He did say some stuff that is a little messed up, sucked up, right,

So I get that. But also Mariah, you know, I've seen a couple of tweets where she said a couple of things here and there and did Johnny's podcast, and I just think it's corny to me, like this guy gave you an opportunity. We would not know who Mariah is. I don't care. I don't care, and I'll say it gladly. He wouldn't. You would not have And I'm and I love you guys, but you know you wouldn't have had this opportunity. You know, he kind of put like a check in your in your pocket. And also it's like,

how if he dogged and he did do wrong. Okay, you are entitled to feel how you feel, but then to go on the internet and do all of this stuff. Listen, I'm not a fan of running on Twitter and doing all of that. You know, you guys have this daveon runs Twitter, So listen, I go to myself, thank you very much, And that's why I was doing. Arguably is defending like Josh, I get that Bessie's your friend. And by the way, please know that this is not the hate Bessie train. I of course I have no hate

towards Bessie. I think he's fun guy would have ever, you know, like I think he's toxic in any sort of romantic way, and I care, but like I have, I have love for fat. This is so, this is this is not a I've described it before and doing the aftermaths and stuff. I see you all even though we're all the same age in a weird way, almost like my children. So it's like I don't have a favorite versus not. It's more like I'll hold your feet to the fire if I think you do something affed up.

But it doesn't mean And for those who keep dming me saying I hate Michelle and Jay that's the same thing applies to him. I have loved for Michelle. I think she's wonderful of metterm person. But I'll hold your feet to the fire if I think you're doing something

and had him yes, yeah, knows how he feel. But yeah, Josh, he really dogged Maria out and like, fine, we get he brought her on as a partner, but she earned her place that far and like helped him get far, and he not, from what we could see, he was really using it and being sort of mean to her. And then from what we heard and how she by the way in the podcast, she's asked questions, so she's just answering it. And so it's not like she came

on being like, let me tell you how I hate. It, was like, hey, what happened in the house, what you know? Why did X, Y and Z? And so then she shared her experience. Bessie did her wrong as hell, And just like Harry and Megan, I too would assigned U Netflix deal and or gone on bananas in the inficial podcast and told my side of the story because Bessie was wrong. And this is how you know he's wrong, Josh,

because he was talking a bunch of smack. I think anytime someone talks smack behind your back, they better be able to back it up and say it to your face. And he talked so much smack with you. When she walked on back as his partner in this episode, he was like, hey, oh my gosh, and it's like you are not keeping the same energy that you had ye when she left and everything else right, and I made her it didn't matter, but he needed her right. And

I told Fes this. I haven't watched on a show, so I don't know what the guy's saying in its confessionals. I don't know what. I don't know. For me, it's just this is how I'm wired and I get a lot of ship for it, and I don't care. That's why I am. I am so loyal. I'm loyal to a fault and I get a lot of ship for that. But I look at it like this, you gave me this opportunity. You now, this is your experience as well.

You're entitled to her opinion. She could speak her mind, but you know, to kind of like block the guy on social media and do all this stuff. And you know, maybe she did that for her mental health and and and and that's fine, and that's fine, But I know Mariah. You don't know you guys are meeting Mariah. I know Mariah, and I know the situation. And I think that they were hooking up for a while. They were and she said, yeah, yeah, like I'm gonna be honest with you, they hooked up.

Yeah they were there, they were they hooked up. Yeah, they were hooking up for a while. So and every time I saw Maria, it's never it was never an issue, is a great time. It was always a good vibe and it was always good energy and just seemed like there's like even when I heard Mariah was his um partner, I was like, dude, you're gonna do so good. Like

I'm so excited for she deserves this. I'm just the type of person where it's like, I listen, Polly dogged me every single time, not to mention the guy, but dogged me every single time. And I still think about the good moments that I had with Todd. That's just why I am as a person. But Josh, when you, when you hold when you, I understand being loyal. My mother's like this too, and this is where she and

I different. I understand being really loyal to someone and always honoring the role you feel they played in your success, right, and always keeping space for that and honoring that. However, I think it can be because we were talking about like mental health and preserving it. I think this old school mentality of being loyal to a fault can be a negatively negative on your mental health because it's it

is conditioning you not to set boundaries. But also as a friend, if you want to be a good friend of Fessie or if Day wants to be a good friend to you, if you don't ever hold your friends accountable because you know you will ride or die. Though, But if you're like, Nope, I'm still right. This person dogs this person, this person dogs me, but I'm still right. I'm still right. I'm a still ride, then you're actually doing them possibly a disservice because your actions are whether

regardless what you say, your actions are condoning. They're bad behavior of other people. Rather than saying, look best, we get it. You guys aren't together anymore. You didn't owe her X Y and Z. But she's still a person and she still is playing her part and coming in trying to contribute as a teammate or a partner or whatever. So like, the least you can do is treat her as a person rather than this manipulation thing like that. I agree and listen. I mean, you guys saw it

last season. Me and Press get into it all the time. We have We have agreements and disagreements all the time. And you know, his history with dating is a mess. And I don't have to be the one to say that, but um, I think from somebody that knows both of them personally. I know Mariah before she got on the show. I build a really fresh Bessie for me is like a brother. That's how I look at him. And I'm the first one to call him out on his shit. I just see it as in, like, you don't have to.

You are entitled to your experience, You're entitled to speak your mind and do all this stuff. But Mariah, for me, just you know, I don't know, I don't It's just not I don't feel like I'm dealing with the same person that I knew before she got on the show. That's just how I feel in your situation. And that's just in and I'm gonna leave it at that. I think Josh lives by the family code, which is you check your family in private, not public. I think that's

where it's sad like. And if I could pull up messages with Bess, you'll see I'm living probably hold his feet to the fire behind closed doors, you know what I mean. I think it's one of those situations. And I mean I don't trust Josh's recollection of dms though, because I do have the DMS from our conversation Josh and July twenty ninth. I did say I'm in Miami for a few weeks, forgot you up here, Let's catch up, and you're like August first, so that's like two weeks

later you were like hey, which is fine. I was still there for the two weeks I was in New York, Joshua, I was in New York. You disappeared, You're not. It's all right, Josh. I'll remember that when I see when I'm back in Miami. Match you have my number two, and I see a fine girl. I'm gonna be like Josh with that would be a perfect match. and you said that in the group. I'm not I'm gonna I expected more from I didn't think Casey was gonna struggle as bad. I'm gonna be honest with you, it was really hard to watch that. Um, But it wasn't so much case it was Kenny, and I think

that that's um. And I love and I love Kenny and I love them, but I I feel like, you know, they're sho tough and it's not it's you know a lot of people aren't built for it, and and yeah, you know, and over time you become so competitive that t J could throw anything like all right, I'm gonna give it everything that I got. You don't quit me

fight it out. But um, I think it's it's really it was really sad because I know Kenny personally and I think the guy's great, but it just like this whole I think now he could walk away from him and be like, all right, case I know what you're going into is not fucking you know exactly. There's this new level of respect for the game for sure. I feel like the thing that Casey doesn't always get credit for is her tenacity. Like Casey comes across as someone who does not will like get it done by any

means necessary, over like die trying. And so when there are these hard things. I don't ever under estimate anything because Casey will literally like fight to the death in whatever way that she needs you. Yeah, Like she's just so mentally trying away. And I agree with you, Josh that Kenny is a lovely guy. But some people are just built with that almost like stubbornness and tenacity. That's why a bunch of challengers keep coming back time after time.

And you know, even I know I say I will never do a challenge again, which I never nothing won't, but there is a piece that that of I think what gets built into a challenger word is that to that like you you just don't quit, like always you quit. Yeah. Yeah, So I think Casey doesn't get enough credit for that

because she's just she's that time's ten. I think I think also what as watching it as a friend, I was struggling with, I'm not I'm gonna be honest with that was on the verge of like fucking tears because I know Casey and I know how competitive she is, and I know how bad she goes into these games and it's like I'm getting to the final and there's nothing, there's no wavering that, there's just this laser focus and like to see her for the first time kind of

struggle but it's out of her control. That shit or like literally broke my heart because I was like, I know she's trying, but she has her brother, Like, what is she gonna do? Curse all her brother. I would have probably done that to Mabie. I would have literally

forcing it up. So so like for her to just have this like soft side of like, all right, Kenny, we gave it everything that we got here just trying her hardest, but also like knowing her and knowing her mindset and who she is as a person in the competitiveness, I'm like, it was so hard to watch that and then going up against her friends. I'm like, that's it's tough in itself. Yeah, yeah, yeah, Okay, we need to take a quick break. Don't go anywhere, y'all. We'll be

We don't really know what it is yet. Do you guys have bets on who you think is coming back in

the house or what the elimination's gonna be. Um, I don't know, But what I do know is looking at Casey's face after she lost, it was almost like defeat, you know what I mean. I don't know what's been shown, but I think mentally, I think Casey really struggled on this season, and I think it was really hard having her brother in that environment. And that's another reason why I'm so thankful maybe wasn't on, because I think that took such a h You're worried about yourself, you're worried about your relationship, and then you got your brother like she has your girlfriend, and that

is draining. I just see this different side of her, where like she just teems overwhelmed and kind of like exhausted with the situation. So I couldn't agree more with Demon, And it looks like she was kind of not checked out. She's not gonna stop, but a little like okay, like it wasn't It's not the Casey we're used to seeing, whereas enjoyed, enjoyed its like I just got a second life. You're gonna have to kill me before you drag me out of the side, you know. Yeah, um so yeah,

I do agree. I would love to see Casey back in the game, But I agree with dev I think that she's a little out of it going into it. Yeah, I I it's amazing, like at this point we like, yeah, I'm like that. We said that, and that's why they would have um not survived as writer dies. Nobody was touching us. You guys would have been a tough team

and a fun one to watch. Like you really, as much as I love working with you day and being here in the podcast, I would love watching you and Josh as a team, especially too, because Josh is the impath, Davon is the opposite. telling me. So I think I genuinely think we would have done so well, but who knows. We got future seasons. I don't think we're going anywhere, So fingers cross. Guys, Wait wait can I can?
