Hello everyone, I'm a Nissa Ferrea and I'm Devin Simone and this is MTV's official challenge podcast Anissa. This episode we learned a lot. One of the key things, though, was you in Banana's Skincare Saturday. Do you care to explain? Please, man, please celebrate? What exactly what skincare Saturday? You know, nothing
says bonding like a face mask with a friend. And I think when Devin and Tory go to have their moment, which they pretended was not really a moment, but I saw on camera it actually as a moment, Johnny and I have nothing to do with it. It's like it's like when two friends are like, Yo, do you want me to tell you a secret? Sure, let's go out here and tell it. Like, what else do you do in that moment? You do a mask? Okay, when all else fails, face mask? I like that, Well, you gotta
take care of yourself. Did Johnny ever give you any indication that he's done them often before? Like, is Johnny had Johnny came with the remnants of a gel pedicure, you know what? And I finally took a the two the big toes off because yes, he had it. Since West painted his nails. Oh no, I'm lying. Somebody picked his gel colors. So I think one half was red when the other one was yellow or pink or something, and I picked. He had just let it stay on for eons. Wow, and you took it off for him?
You know that is Yeah? I don't know. You get bored. That's fair. I mean, no, junk man, I get it. I'm glad to see that you guys are having some wholesome moments happening in that house. And I love hearing these behind the scenes stories. I'm curious because we saw so many like masks. We saw explosions in this episode. We saw I feel like masterminding. In this episode. We saw Devin sort of being like a mastermind. We saw Amber calling out the mastermind like she wasn't trying to
manipulate people. I don't think, but she was. She was accurate in her assessments of what the moves Devin was making. We saw Jay thinking he was contributing. I don't know what was happening. And then we saw Nelson trying to keep up calling himself Spider Nellie t You know what's funny is Nelson gives himself nickname, but they always highlight his weakness. So he gave himself Scuba and nell Et, which highlighted that he wasn't the best swimmer, and then
him calling himself spider Man Nellyet. The issue with that is you just said that your connections connect to everyone in this house. That's called bad political gameplay. Like that's called not good in this game because now you're gonna get really messy. So that's not really the skill. Spider Man said, don't put my name in it. But do you think that Devin is indeed the next West when it comes to being a political maskmind, which is what your gel petty friend Banana said. I mean, I can
see where that could come from. I think the difference is Devin isn't recruiting anybody. He's working with the things that are there, right, So it's not like bringing in new people and making them promises, right, He's just kind of planning like little fires everywhere. Yeah yeah, so it's like a real time sort of right. But he's in a house that's flame retardant, you know what I mean, So it's like blowing up everybody else's shit and he's
doing it. I mean, you gotta hand it to him. Yeah, I mean, like I was going to be, and I think I'm in a tough position because his partner's my best friend, and I really was upset, like what are you guys doing? Like why aren't you guys ever in there with us? But I think that I caught on fairly quickly to knowing that, like my partner and I aren't going to be that way and make those kinds of promises. So if they're going to come out and do whatever they need to do for their pair, good
on them. If it works. Yeah, that's fair. And honestly, I think them not being put into me is darn good gameplay. I've said that before. You know, so far right and what we've seen we don't know hot ends, but like that's what we're going to need them too. I don't care how they play, just stay here because we're gonna need you at some point. Yeah, yeah, yeah,
I think that's very smart gameplay. I think it just now it seems like it's come to a point where people are starting to notice, whereas before they weren't noticing, so they were flying under the radar. Now so now they're gonna have to switch up their strategy a little bit. Yeah, speaking of strategy, and we get into it in today's interview, but some of y'all seem to have a strategy with the puzzle in today's challenge, and some of y'all did not seem to have a strategy. Nissa, how was that
for you? Man? I stood there screaming, just look at it. I don't know what and Johnny, Johnny will probably make fun of me to this day for it. But like, it's so hard to root on people while they're puzzling, especially with a puzzle you can't see oh yeah that yes, so there's zero things you can do. Yes, make eights, make it all match. I mean, the level of coaching that we did was so ridiculous and it just took forever. It was cold for us, so I know what's cold
for them? Yeah, it looked cold, and you guys looked by the end of it, like you guys aren't even yelling anymore, which I feel like is always the testament of when an elimination has gone too long, when people aren't even they're just like, yeah, you got it, yeah all right. Check. This is like definitely one of the hardest because it's hard to like hype yourself up for
a puzzle, whether you're the watcher or the player. I feel like, well, once it goes beyond about two minutes, it is right because initially, yeah, you think you're given it about. You know, you're like wrap the pace, move the pace or whatever like stupid thing you think is contributing, which is for puzzles, move the piece piece? What? No, what do I do? An I cheer? I actually try to be political about who I cheer for because people
take note. Of course, I just don't say anything, yeah exactly, I'll just be like, good job, but they don't know who I'm saying too. Um. But I know when you're up there in an elimination, which is only happened once where we were doing a puzzle and then they forfeited, But you don't you can't really hear so much is happening. Sometimes I feel like that you're not taking into account whatever cheers people are giving you at all. But I
actually wasn't referring to the elimination. I was referring to your performance in the daily But we can get to that in the interview. When I asked what was going on with that strategy, it was you guys doing the puzzle in the daily which did look hard. You know what it was? It's that you weren't getting exact shapes you were getting like I'll just take me for instance, that that bottom row which had this purple piece. There were two purple squares, but one was slightly angled. That's
the one I needed. It's those little tiny like centimeter differences, gotcha. That makes sure like your puzzle will fit or won't fit. Yea. So it wasn't that I didn't know. It's not only at thirty seconds. So by the time I took it off to put another one up, yeah, time's up. Yeah, that makes I didn't want it to be easy where anybody could just guess it. That makes sense. Okay, all right, you redeemed who can't redeem themselves this week? Who gets your time out of the week for foolishness? I mean,
I'm stuck, Oh here we go. I'm stuck between Nellie T calling himself Spider Nellie T because it's just because no and Fessie building the puzzle underneath where you were supposed to. And I wish they would have had a still of what it looked like. It was just pieces all over the place. I didn't know. I think you want to like push them up at the end of it all fit. So I'm gonna put Nellie and Fessi in time out together so they both can FESSI can help Nellie with new names and Nellie can help FESSI
with the puzzle pieces. Okay, I like it. And then who gets your gold Star of the week? You know what? I may have to give it to ne Reese? Why is that? Neverice hauled ass? And Neurice is pretty straightforward with her ship and I respect that and she just went for it like she and you can see is a great friend to Nellie in this is really supportive and because of her he has won two Dailies. Now. Yeah, so I'm gonna give her the gold star for maybe
being Nellie's magic this season. Yeah, it's definitely not his political skills. I'd say that my time out for this week has to be Nellie t also because I because because emphasizing his nicknames for a lack of a political game, Like you're calling yourself spider Man because your web touches everyone in the house, but it's actually not a good political strategy. Start um. So yes, so that also, it just seemed chaotic the way he did things. I don't love the way they did Like, I don't think it
was necessary even if it was true. I don't love how he handled telling Amber who's who's telling who? Seems very sincere and saying, hey, you're my top four, you know, like you've been in my top four. I'm not just saying this now like that's the case, and him rubbing salt in the wound by being like, oh, you're not even in my top four, like that was just would
you rather him have lied? No? But did she? She didn't ask that, like it's clear you're not in the top four because you just put them in the bottom four of the eliminated when he said it, you're just has already been made. He shouldn't ye about Nellie. Sometimes he speaks out of turn. Yeah, like you didn't need to. You could have just said I'm sorry, I'm playing a different game, Like you didn't need to rub it in in that, like I can't have more people because I
won't feel right the right. That was just not nickname for Nellie t mess because FESSI has messy. Yeah, we gotta work on that. We'll work on that for the next week and then my gold star. Actually we don't always agree, Innsa, but we do some of the time. And today it's also Neice because Nourice, she's just beautiful, Like she's just beautiful and looking beautiful and it's just like wow. But also the fact that she's killing it with endurance, like got this done. We know it's not
Nelly fully winning these challenges because we've seen him. It's definitely Nerees helping so too the Amber. I don't love it, but I rock with my girl Neurice and how she's killing it in the game and do it and then can show up at the bar looking like not a ten or twenty like after just kill that day, like girl just winning on all fronts, winning all fronts. And then I have to throw in a petty honorable mention to t J. It's not about his wardrobe this time,
I didn't notice it. But it is about the fact that when he congratulated Nelson and Neurse for winning, TJ says something along the lines of, you guys killed it, Neurice with the brains on the puzzle, Like didn't even attempt to give credit. It was just assumed that the puzzle. Yeah, so pay props to t J. Good job to Neurice Nelson. Oh, Nellie, I love my boy Nelson, but on this show he's just a mess. We'll have him on here one day
and we'll talk to him. We'll pick us pick his Spider and Nelly see see what webbs are in there and on what's going on? Yeah, all the cob web We're going to dust him out. Um before we get to Spider and nell Et though in a future time on this podcast, we actually have his arch nemesis, Chauncey Chauncey p Jordans some might say, on this episode today we get to talk to him to see what really went down, what his feelings are about this episode, and
a lot of the cross talk was happening. We also get into our girl, Nini Anise Ferrere, and her thoughts about the surprising conversations that were had, including being called a flip flopper. We're gonna address all of that here. People are going to speak their mind on this episode. It's a lot of fun. We also discussed relationships which aren't fully relevant, but you know, we had to get into it a little bit. So, yeah, it's a good episode.
So grab a snack, go do something, and stay here because coming up next, we're gonna have that interview with Chauncey pe Jordan. Not go grab a snacks, grab a snack, grab some food, stay here because we'll be right back. Well well, well, so excited to have this next guest on. I have so many questions for you, some that are Challenge related, some that aren't, but I'm still gonna ask anyway. Chauncey, Welcome to the Official Challenge Podcast. Sir, you and all
twelve of your abs. How are you guys doing today? We're great. How are you guys doing? We are all good, wonderful. I think he's the first person that's ever asked us how we were doing. That's true, he is. I will say something. Chauncey has manners. He's very kind. Thank you. I appreciate it. We don't have manners on this show those Chauncey, so be prepared. It's a wild ride. We're excited to have you. I've been a little fiery lately, so it's okay. Speaking of fire, we might we might
as well go right for it. Yeah, go right into it. Are you fiery? Because of these tweets because the Twitter fingers are insane this season. Yeah, no, no, um, I just you know, it's not just necessarily the Twitter and everything around that. It's more so things I've heard also, and it's like a lot of you know, just people talking about Amber talking about me. And Amber's my girlfriend, of course, so I'm gonna always have her back, and she's not into necessarily speaking about it right away or
anything of that nature. Me on the other hand, as I need to know that I am quiet. I don't really speaking a lot. I don't really say anything. I don't start problems. I don't try to start problems. You know, I'm not confrontational none of that. But if it comes down to it where it's like my name's brought up or Amber's names brought up, I will say something just because I feel there's neat to Can you give us some specific examples, give us, give us a call out,
and get give us a response. You can call me out if you'd like to. I'm gonna say, you know, I'm sorry, Yeah, definitely, Like I'm gonna say, like that was one point, you know, it needs to call it an Amber snake and at different time, Okay, I don't think snake was what I said. There might be some sneaky shit down the line, but but let me explain, teasing something out on this podcast is like kind of what we do. And to make it like one thing, I'll tell you for sure, I think you can finish.
I've never spoke anything about Amber's character as a human being. Now, how people play the game and how the how the house and the game make you. People feel very anxious in that house, and they probably wouldn't act the same way they would act while problem solving outside of it. It's a game. It makes everybody kind of squirrel. But I do like lead to say certain things to keep people kind of like, okay, all right, let's stay tuned.
Some shit might pop off. Yeah, of course everyone, And I understand like everybody has their own opinions, you know, so it's never like f them ever. I loved you in the house. You guys gave me so much user in and I had a whole red goatee. You guys help me so much and brings people together, It really does. But Johncey, what do you want to say as you're in the process of kind of, you know, making your statement or your voice around some of these you know,
tweets or call out. So this is your time to shine. What do you want to say and then we'll get into like the fun stuff. Don't worry, it's not all gonna be always like of course, but what do you want to say in defense of your girl? And what do you want to say just about yourself? I don't
know how. I gotta figure out how to put it exactly in where it's like for the people that have like said our names as far as I'm gonna say straight up, Nelson and Jay talking about me directly and everything of that nature, I just want to say, like I've never had any problems with them. I even told Jay before the season even started, which I even didn't
even know this is all what's coming on. I met Jay one day and um, I literally told him I looked up to him, I loved him a survivor and that, you know, like he was like a role model to me. So to you know, watch these episodes and then him call me the way and everything again opinions, which is perfectly fine, and then Nelson saying I'm popcorn muscles and all this all this nonsense whatever it's like you guys can't expect me to, you know, like respond back, Like
I'm going to respond back. And the one thing I hate is that when I do respond back, they call it cloud chasing, like if I didn't have follows beforehand, like I wasn't do my own thing beforehand, and like I do this on a regular I don't. I don't. I probably use Twitter once before any of this, you know. So it's like, um, it just doesn't make sense to me, and it's sucks to see. But at the end of the day, I'm gonna always if my name is brought up or Amber's name brought up, and I'm going to
defend it. The same thing with the reis And there said Amber's name at one point talking about how she wasn't running the rookies, when I meant it in a genuine way as far as her being a leader and a positive leader to rookies, to people that have that have are new to the game, and that some people look up to her. You know, I meant it in that type of way, and the restok it to a whole another negative, negative outlook or whatever, and just I don't know, just from there, it's like if you're gonna
say Amber's name in a negative way. You're out here protecting your girl. Absolutely yeah, and I appreciate you protecting your girl. And I mean one thing, and this is no shade to everybody else. Okay, it's a little bit of palm tree, but you know, the difference is every name you just mentioned, who you feel or who we've seen speak about Amber. The thing that's missing beside their name is a W and Amber has one. And hopefully we'll get a chance to talk to Amber about that too.
But you're doing what you're supposed to do in defending your girl, which I think is rightfully so, and I think anybody would want their significant other to do that, and you've done so in a, you know, relatively respectable way. But now I want to I want to switch gears. Aside from you defending your girl, you did so in a way that was very reminiscent of Michael B. Jordan
back when he was dating Lorie Harvey. And I saw some tweets online on Elon must Twitter because you know people are going crazy over there right now, including Elon, and straight out of nineteen seventy six tweeted, does anyone else think Chauncey looks like Michael B. Jordan, So I want to know, Chauncey, have you heard that before? And Anisa, I would have know what you think because you've seen the man up in person? So what do you think
I'm an up in person? Because you were both on the show, but Michael and then at the club and we had okay, we had a fake being each other's girlfriend or boyfriend because there were some crazy people up in there. Okay, well then the better. That's even better at asking. But you scared me for a second, he sad, like, oh, because yes, you said Iauny was like a brother. So then, since you've seen him both in person, do you think Chauncey looks like Michael B. Jordan? And then Chauncey, have
you heard this before? I mean I think that Chauncey has like more pillowy lips and a bigger build. But like, yes, from a distance, that could be like maybe brothers the like second cousins. Yeah, first cousins, first cousins, not second. But he's a beautiful man though, thank you I appreciate or him, thank you to him or you. Well, if if someone were to say, hey, Michael B. Jordan, you look like Chauncey. I think that would be a compliment, just like the opposite of that. Yeah, I don't think
either one is neat. Yeah, for sure, I personally don't think I look like him. But um, I've been getting it actually since I was like eighteen nineteen, so it's really years. Oh so oh yeah, sorry, but it's been a coach. It's been you guys can't see we're on video. So by the way, that the cat utest cat, cute cat. But yeah, I've been getting it for years. So I've been trying to like kind of step away from that and kind of just you know, get everyone to be
like really you. Yeah, it's gonna start calling you Chauncey p Jordan from now. I love that Chauncy P. Yes. I feel like, can't we at least let it ride for this episode Chauncey and then you can go back to Jordan. I love it. Thank called a Rassio poppy pict we did. It's a gift. No, we give you a nick name on this podcast. It's really like, it's me. I'll take it. So I want to take I want
to take the back to the beginning. Amber asks you, Hey, Chauncey, they're doing a show where we can bring on significant others and things. Would you go with me? What are your first thoughts? Was it an immediate yes? How did you feel? My first thought was like, are you willing to go again? Because I know she had tough seasons in the past, so I wanted to make sure that she was mentally ready to go ahead and do another season. And of course I'm like, I'm down, I'm ready to compete.
I haven't competed in years. But it's ultimately your decision, you know. And I was excited for I'm blessed every day for this opportunity still and I forever will be. And Amber literally said, I will do this just so you could get the opportunity to show yourself. Look at that love. Oh without her, I wouldn't have never had this opportunity. Forever blessed for it. So I can't thank her enough. How long have you guys been together? By the time you got the call, Chauncey, by time we
got the call. We so we got a call in February I think last year, checking if we will possibly be available. They didn't know it's necessarily the theme and everything, so around that time, it was only about what six seven was. So we just hit a year in August anniversary. Were you nervous at all? Once you said yes? Once
you guys agreed. Were you nervous because you see, I mean you've seen episodes before, right, I'm a guessing right, just how crazy and wild it can be and the stress it puts on an individual, let alone two people. Were you nervous at all about taking your relationship to the inside of that house, and if so, what in particular were you nervous about what element? I honestly wasn't
nervous at all about our relationship. I'm very comfortable and I have all faith and our relationship that will be strong enough to go within the worst problems and figure it out and come out better. So going into the house, there was no fear that we were going to have any problems. I think the only thing is communication. UM not really much a communicator, so I think that would have been the biggest problem, and we ended up communicating even better than what we do outside the house sometimes.
So and that's all me, that's it's all my fault for that, by the way, So, UM, I would just um, yeah, you know, I wasn't. I wasn't like scared at all. Well, I need to know if Amber was like, you know, Chauncey, I really want you to come with me. But it's like only heights. See, that's the thing I like. I I honestly didn't really like what heights. I didn't know I was really scared of heights until I was in this situation, like as a kid. As a kid, I
loved the roller coasters. As growing up, I was like, Okay, I don't really like planes. Planes just the thought of planes make me a little uncomfortable flying on a plane, but I know you gotta do it travel, so whatever. But like to actually be on the edge of a building that terrified the living, living hell out of me.
That instantly created anxiety, created build everything in my life, which I'm actually working on now, Like just as far as just work on the anxiety part of being afraid of heights and everything like that, I'm getting getting a little help for that. So it's like it was, it was just I don't know, I've never had like that much fear of heights until I was at the top of the building. You're not right, not like a window washer or like a construction worker. You're not working on skyscrape.
I would never do it either. I was like, this is not it, This is not it. It's really really not. But I'm sure that you were excited to come into this with her and knowing her experience and that she already won. Absolutely, I felt as as much as a gu confident coming in the game with her. I understood that she will have a target on her back. Of course, So in my head coming in, I'm just like, let's compete, let's do this, let's get ready to go through the worst.
Let's way. I'm already mentally prepared, like if we got to go in elimination, let's go do this thing and let's win. And it was weird because like after her second season, that's when we, you know, started dating and started actually getting in the groove of things. How did you guys connect and getting that groove Chauncey P. Jordan, By the way, the people listening that don't know what is your origin story? So the whole basically, we we've been friends for a little a while, a few few years.
So we've been friends, always sit in contact and everything, and we never met in person. Instagram friends Instagram friends. So you slid in her dmit a woman that knows what she like? Okay, clean, Yeah, I'm clean up because I don't want to get so you're gonna hear this and be pissed. So what is it called? She she was liking a few of my pictures, you know, call me and call me on a few of my pictures. I'm like, oh, shoot, okay, I don't know who this is.
But she looked good. So I was like, you know whatever, and I hit her up. I'm like, and my mindset always is just business. I'm always trying to improve work as far as YouTube and social media and everything like that because I love doing fitness and that's one of my of course things on social media. So when I seen her, I'm like, oh, she looked like she's in shape. Let me ask her she wanna, you know, do a cloud whatever? And it kind of just built that little
connection from there, the flirting start happened. You started getting a little closer, started being there for each other, and then one day she was able to come out to Boston. We met and been together ever since. I forgot you lived in Boston. Yeah not anymore, though, not anymore. I love it. So what would you say for all the aspiring challenge fans who watched this and see wonderful challengers like the Ambers or a Nissas Win. They're single on these shows and they think, I too want to date
someone as magnificent as that Chauncey. What tips would you give to any of our single listeners of what they can do to like? What was the thing that one over Queen Amber? I would say, just have patience, but most importantly, work on self love. I'd love for yourself before you can love anybody else, because that's gonna cause problems in the long run. If you don't have full self love for yourself, that's when you start getting to trust,
issues and everything of that nature. Amber and I again, we've been at a time where it wasn't the right time, But when we are able to actually start dating, she was perfectly. She had her self love for her. I had myself love for me. I feel like I was doing my thing, she was doing her thing, and I think that's one thing that really brought us together. And just be yourself overall, don't you know what I'm saying.
Don't try to put on an image or anything because that's also when I come back actually, you know, trying to put on an image for somebody like you also can't hide that when you're on the show, like you're four hours right and in the most like anxiety provoking environment, so like you're going to see the best side of
each other, all of the every side. And I think that's the house actually brought us closer because we already lived together before going in, but now we're in the house, no social media, no phones, so we're forced to talk and communicate and actually get to new each other a little bit more, and so it's more it's more intimate as far as at the setting. So I think it overall made us be like, yeah, we're you're the one
for me, basically from being in the house. What you're saying, I would like to go to the wedding whenever, Yes, I will, definitely. You know, it's in the It's in the word, Jordan. I love that so much. Chauncy p you said, Okay, like in the house, you get to see all sides of each other, right, because there's a lot going on, Like Nisa said, it's just wrestful environment, not a normal one for it by any struct of
the imagination. Do you think it's because you were seeing all sides of her that you were unable to see the colors on those puzzle cands when you were doing the daily challenges? That what it was? He was like, I just forgot was it because you guys were running holding hands together? Though, heyst it was cute and it was cute when you were like, wait can you run? And they were really cute. It was it was really cute.
We were you know, we were doing our things. But this was also the first time, of course, as everyone, I was like, first time ever and I have really like worked on a team like in this type of atmosphere scenarios. So it's like we're learning each other. So we're like, okay, I think I could do this part of the team. Yeah, you think you could do this, but we're trying to figure out, you know, not trying
to argue. So we're like, okay, I'll let you do this this uh, this task, I'll do the other task, and we'll see like, okay, we probably should have did it the other way around, Like for again, the memory, I should have never done the memory whatsoever. Amber should have done that. But we are color blind and I don't mean this facetiously, but she asked, and then they didn't give me answered. Okay, I just wouldn't because she looked answer. I asked her, asked her, like, why would
you ask that? Because that was really trying. But like I I think it's my ADHD honestly, because the minute I start running, colors and shapes started disappearing. So by the time we got to the board, it was like, I remember maybe one and we were just there. I remembered four. So yeah, so it was just it just uh no, I'm not color blind. Don't worry. People did worse. I mean, Festy didn't even build his board on was he even in this because I didn't see him? Not one?
And Mariah built there's below. I think it was fest you started it, I don't know, but build it below where you were supposed to. So they just up there. They didn't put it in the frame. How many laps did you guys have to do? Do you think like a lot? How many tricks? I know, I know it felt like a lot. It looked like a lot, but it was hard to see how far it was because you got because they were slicing in the difference. It was far enough to be annoying because you had to
go there, calm yourself and then try and book it back. Yeah. And I wasn't sprinting because that's just not me, Like I'm not built, Like, shut the fuck up. Did you think Chauncey that that Nelson had this Nelson and Nerese. No, No, I thought. I thought devinatory. Um, and that's just being honest, like just honest, like I then, no one knew what Nesee could do. Um. Nelson, he I thought he was gonna get tired out fast because he freaking sprinted right away. So I go, he has go. We didn't know he
said that much go exactly. And I didn't really know that until I actually saw it. So Um. Once they were like getting into pieces together and seeing them just pass us just keep going, I was like, okay, this is yeah, yeah, that's starry. To get real scary, you know, a lot of people got real scary after this. After these talks you had to talk with Jordan. But by looking at it, I feel like that conversation wasn't terrible. It was It wasn't a terrible conversation at all. Actually
was there more? Um? I was basically just saying to Jordan that Jay Michelle been making some stupid decisions. My opinion, my opinions, and so I'm like, because I you know, again, I'm not they're playing their games, so I don't know what their mindset is, but I'm like, they're not playing. I'm like, they're not really making this right, Like it
doesn't seem right to me. So I'm telling him, I'm like, if they ever win again, and the past times that they've thrown you in, I just want to let you know I have nothing to do with it, because people know, yeah, yeah, And I'm like, just so you know, so I'm like, I if they throw you in again, has nothing to do with me, And I just want you to know that in case you guys win, so you don't throw
this in. And I want to say because at that time, Jordan I were beds are right next to each other, so we built a good connection on a friendship and it was just like it was it was dope to have him in the room, so I was always talking to him. Even Amberon came into the room one day. We had like an hour long talk with Jordan just understanding who he is as a person, you know, and it was like, I trust this guy one hundred percent, so I'm not gonna ever say his name, and I'm
not gonna say a niece his name. Niece has been cool. I trust and Nisa. We've been cool throughout the season. I'm like, there's no reason for me to say their names. But I do know they know that we're working with James Schell, So I don't want there to be any
conflict because I see that the line is drawn. I thought it didn't want Amber and I to be in that problem that viewers don't that Like it's easy even as a viewer now and it having been so long ago since I was on the challenge, but I think something that's again it's people go into the house, sometimes with premate alliances, sometimes without right but there's an added dynamic that never really gets featured on the show, which is who you room with yause even if you have
a different alliance. Like I remember when I did Free Agents. As they started limiting relating people, they started shutting off parts of the house. They wanted us all in like one section of the house, so we had to move the people that were in like the far wing had to sort of move over and I ended up moving in basically the boys room. It was ct bananas Leroy. It was create a lot of snoring, a lot of
sweaty socks like for sure, and my pink snuggie. But it was really interesting because it became like a family in that room weirdly, so there was like this added even though there was no spoken alliance, kind of what you just said, chaunceyp there became this relationship to a degree, like dynamic, because you are You're spending a lot of time with this person otherwise and you usually as long as you're not fighting with each other, you oftentimes can
come out saying like, look, I kind of care about you too, you or I you know, like I respect you or have the relationship too, and then that ultimately affects the game absolutely. And I hated the fact that, um, because Jordan and Jay were both in my room. I hated the fact that I felt like I was somewhat
in the middle of it. And what was the name you guys even had a name for your we had our room was called the Cardinals because the room was like reddish pinkish orange, so we like the Cardinals, so I thought we you know, we had some ugoing, you know, I thought the brotherhood Brotherhood, we lost Turbo. Turbo was in the room, and then we lost Johnny. Johnny was in the room. So did it get really tense when we saw Jordan and Jay start getting into it in
the last you know, episode or two? Like did the energy shift for you as a co roommate. I personally like, I've seen them have conversations, but I never want to be in the middle of that at all, and anything to do with their conversation. No, I was like, I'm good, I'm good. I don't want to be here. Then Jay and Jordan though, like I've never really seen them in the room together once things start did like really getting
hot in the house. So, oh, this is getting good. Okay, we need to take a quick break, but we'll be right back after this. That interrogation was interesting and we see Amber sort of shut it down a thing where she's like I think we're done, you know, or like whatever, like this is there's nothing left to say, which I love. Was there anything else? And Chauncey p for those who
can't see, is applauding right now on video. When I said that Amber shut it down, was there anything else that happened during the interrogation that we didn't see any other behind the scenes that when and you too, Anissa, was there any behind the scenes in the interrogation room in this particular episode that we didn't open Niece's making that face? It was interesting to know that Veronica would
have saved you guys and not me. I was down there struggling, like, am I gonna save Nanni and Johnny? Or am I gonna say Derella Veronica? The whole episode gave me a oh really, Yeah, That's how I felt that if I could just sum up the whole episode, it would be interesting. It's exactly bad. And I didn't know Jordan and Nelson were so close, and Nelson said, had you know we're not coming late, Jordan would have
been Nelson's number one basic Yeah. But watching it back, I'm like, it was very easy for him to say Jordan and I his name. Who do you think he was really going after? Not who we saw obviously who ended up getting picked, but like, do you think that was his initial target? And then also do you think it was his plan or do you think it actually
was all devon? I think because I don't know because because of his uh alliance with Jay, I might think he was going for Dooran Nissa originally, and I think that's a bullshit. It makes me very angry to think that. But but I do think Devin and but they don't show. Devin is one of my closest friends. But I knew that he was pulling all of the political strings for sure when we were at the bar that night. I
even sat there. I don't even know if Chauncey was there with me and Jordan when we were talking, and I'm like, I don't. I think it's Devin that's doing a lot of this stuff. And you can see that Devin does have very politically savvy Yeah, yeah, we know that he's pretty good at those things. It's interesting though, watching because I look, I'm gonna say it, and I
may get some flak from listeners from this. I don't finally you and not me go ahead say I had the pleasure of meeting Amber when we did Aftermath, and I don't think she deserves all the hate she gets on the shows, and I really don't. I really don't. I told her that, and just watching still now this season, I still very much feel the same way. I don't think it's equal. No one's perfect on the show, but
I don't think it's I just don't. And it was interesting watching Devin and maybe this is just a testament to his current ability and skill to do this, but watching him sort of puppeteer a lot of people in the house and be psychologically savvy and being able to read people in situations and sort of play chests in that way, that is a gift and skill. One could say it comes with mini devions, you know that it's
just in general our school, he's good to that. But Himber was doing the same thing because she was not wrong in the thing she was seeing and observing and calling out like she wasn't wrong, and yet you know, Devin managed to turn it back on her right and try and like kind of blow it up in her face. But like Amber was not wrong and was one hundred percent spot on in the calling of yeah, what are your thoughts on that? She actually she never once called
Devin as snake ever. So it was funny how that started around because because so in the bar, I was just so surprised to see how like everything just started telephone in and just turned to something huge that happens in Yeah, but it was like everyone sees like Devone was at the time playing you know, a sneaky game. You know, you got too at a certain point. But it's like, I mean, he was, he was brilliant to make make things happen like that. So I give him,
give him. I mean, we stood in our rooms, like what is going on down there? I wasn't going to go because I was already in my pajamas and it's too cult for me. Was it really that loud that everybody could hear it outside of wind of Michelle? Yeah? Absolutely, screaming. Absolutely.
Did anyone sort of have Michelle's back and call her like or because it was clear that Devin was playing his you know, political manipulative kind of like game or moves or whatever, like, did people acknowledge that and just stay quiet about it? Were people really blinded by the fact that he was like gas lighting or did anyone voke like that? We didn't see verbalize hey leave Michelle alone or whatever? You know. I don't think it. Can anybody defend her? No, I think she was. Yeah, I
think I think it is. But the thing is is that and this is how I see it, and I think this is actually what's going on. And I mean I do think Amber gets gets hit and whatever. I think that once somebody and someone said on the episode, once you get like not a reputation, but people have an idea. It's easy for other people to attach because they need they need any reason they can, yeah to do whatever. So now there's a ship with Michelle, and even if Devan's yelling at her, people are going to
be like, oh, then they're going to question her integrity. Yeah, because anyway, or you know, with the moves this season at least, so yeah, absolutely. I just think that environment's easier to do such a thing. Yeah, you know, because you can't really turn anything off there. So there are a lot of things that were going on. I think you knew exactly what he was doing. And you know, listen, hats off to you if you can make some shit happen in that house and not come back to bite you.
Immediately as Nelson called you a flip flopper, you said that you were watching you were surprised at his ability. Yeah, you're make in that face. I want to know what are your thoughts on because he said that he said that to camp people are real bold because they didn't say they will not say it to my face. Flip flop is a sandal. So that's not me. But I think people and for years decades they've tried to do this is make me pick a side. I am a grown asque woman. I will go where I need to
go when I need to go there. I had one person that I've made a promise too in her name is Victoria Patricia Deal and that it's the only person. But we're not going to do is sit here and we've this web of lies and promise nineteen thousand people come to your side. I'm not a flip flop, that's one thing I'm not. I'm gonna do whatever I feel in that moment that's right for the game, to be honest. I don't think I've ever done anything directly. Okay, maybe
once to Nellie that's really affected him. When he asked me if I voted for him on Double Agents. I told him right to his face, yes I did. He said, thank you. I'm not gonna hold that against you. So for him to say that, it's very it's very interesting. But I don't take offense to it because it's just a fucking game. Yeah, and these are just a flip flop. It's just it's just a thing. And Nelly said it. So Chauncey, what are your thoughts about this being this
being your first season? Yeah, like the back and forth seeing it now, like watching this episode playback and seeing things that you didn't get to see in the house, how are you feeling It's like some some scenarios again, like going back to the bars, like I kind of knew, like I had a deep feeling deep down like certain stuff and certain talks were happening. So the fact that I'm we're able to watch it and see it like unravels Like, Okay, at least my mind was in the
right spot at the time, doesn't it. Yes, Like I'm not crazy seeing I was like, dude, I do it, So it was. It's just it's just I don't know, it's like very surreal, like to just watch it and like wow, like this in a way it could have been prevented if by this song differently, or anytime of that nature. But again, you don't know what the other
teams are thinking. So at the same time, watching this episode, I guess like this was for Amber's Ey's case, it is probably one of the best things that happened for us, because we could show that we could compete also and that we're able to actually like we deserve to be there too, because teams were looking at us like we were like the worst team or whatever because we wasn't winning,
which doesn't make no sense to me. But I want to go back to the bar for one second, Chauncey, when you and Amber were sitting at that table, and Amber is basically like, I know they're talking about us right now. Did you think or have a feeling in that moment like we may be direct vote? I felt like once once our name was on the board, I was like, Okay, there's a chance that we're going down just because it's like Nelson already showed us that we
can't really trust him or the rest. We can't really trust their decisions. It's like, how are we going to trust them again to keep their word? So watching them have their conversations, knowing that Devon is playing some type of part and everybody's thinking, we're like dang, I personally think like we might actually go down there because I don't see us being in a draw. But the only problem was I told Nelson when we were down in the elimination. I was like, you had two times two chances,
and it wasn't going at him. I wasn't trying to go at him or not enough that nature was telling him like, ye had two chances to tell us that you're gonna say our name. You could have told us before you put us on the board, and you could have told us in the bar when he's having the conversation that we was gonna be made right, but you
chose not to. So at that point it's like, Okay, now I can't trust you at all because when you look Amber and the eyes in the very first day and you tell my girlfriend that you are going to have our back one hundred percent, and then I go to you personally for a happy man to man and be like yo, because man, like from why I'm from Boston. If you're looking in in your eyes and I hope this is everywhere looking at Hoyes, you got to shake
on it. I understand this is the game. But if you shake on and be like, listen, I got your back, I got you, that's you know, That's what it is. So for him to look at me in the eyes and say that and then go about it differently and change it up twice. I'm like, Okay, you just not only you broke your problems once, but you did twice. And I don't trust you at all. Do you think because a lot of a lot of people have said this, I may I'm this was the last second decision, Like
I didn't make it until I came in here. No, I believe that absolutely, not absolutely, especially with everything that was going on in the house Nelson and like we haven't. I think I don't know, Like I personally didn't really see him the whole day um leading up to it, so I'm pretty sure he just didn't want to even conversate with us or tell us because he already had it planned. He just didn't want to say to us and let us know. So it's like, no, I don't believe, like, oh,
this is decision made. It was a very hard decision. You have your four, you have your alliances, you know who you're speaking to, you, you know what you're going to do regardless, you know. Do you think it fueled you to do better in this your first elimination? Yes, it pissed me off, but it wasn't It felt personal but not towards me, towards Amber, because I know how much Amber was telling me like, oh, I trust Nelson.
Nelson's my you know, He's one person that I could always make he always have my bag, I'll always have his back. I'm like, I don't know him. I've had conversations with Jay. I know Jay, but I don't know Nelson. But if you're saying this, I believe it. So when we're in the interrogation and seeing her crying like that's like she actually feels like terrible sad and feel betrayed, you know what I'm saying, Like she's not trying and play no games, Like she literally feels like you just
literally backs out there. So now when we're in elimination, I'm like, you do it again. After seeing that, I'm like, Okay, now I'm pissed off. And it's giving. I mean, it's cowardice, a little like stand tintoes down and whatever it is you decide you're up on the winning space. And I mean I never thought we'd see this moment or movement from Nellie t I mean, look from going from the below the bottom fifty four losses in a row to win it and now and now he's just negative term.
Now Nelliet has gotten drunk with power and it's just going wild in his decision making. Like he didn't have to go at Amber like that and be like when she's like, you're in my top four and he's like, yeah, you're not on that list, like that was just not yea necessary, it was. It was eye opening. It was eye opening though, because then now we're like, you know,
we understand, and that's I mean, just leave it. I guess that's just really that, you know, So I again, like I have no little hate towards or just understand. It's a games, a part of the game. So you're cool with Neli now, is that what you're saying. I can't say I'm cool with him. I don't you know. I'm gonna be honest. I don't really talk to too many people outside the game. But I just live in my little bubble. But do you talk to your about
your Twitter bubble? You've been in the Twitter boat. But like we said in the beginning, I've seen my see my name pop up, But um, I guess too. Yeah, oh Chauncey am I gonna have to go pull up Chauncey P on Twitter and see it kind of No, it's not on Twitter, it's also on Instagram. And Jay and Nelson had done a live together and I guess they wanted to talk about Chauncey Jordan and about Laura
about a few different people they discussed. Yeah, but it's you know, like again, I've never had any problems with them. I'm not the one to start beef or anything of that nature. I understand the game is a game, um, but once you do say my name, I'm going to respond back, so let them know. And it's it's crazy because like, you know, like I literally don't understand, like still why they're you know, saying this stuf or like trying to come at me or trying to say I'm
a cloud chaser when they said my name first. So it's like I'm confused, where this where those where where it's coming from. But I mean, I guess they have their own reasons. I want to make it makes sense, you know, I really want to make it make sense, and I can't. Yeah, yeah, yeah, because it definitely seems like there's a lot. But let's talk about a happy moment, which is you and your booth than you guys win yeah, and amazing. That is what what? Okay, before we get
because we're gonna get to the puzzle. Uh, being that you said you don't like heights how because that looks pretty tall? Like did you have any thoughts or feelings or concerns about that thing the crane? When they had me on the crane going up, I was like, okay, I don't even like me on the crane, But once I'm up there on that platform, I was like, I'm good, Like this is fine, Like I was. It wasn't as
you know, it wasn't high. But when they were putting me up on that crane to go up there to start, I was like, nah, Like what about your strategy? Did you got you an amber? Once you got up there? Did you at all discuss a strategy going through the little spider web thing? Our strategy was to have Amber go first, just so she could um let me know how it was, because I already know that yeahs through she killed it. He killed it. But knowing that she could go down faster, we were like, let's have you
go first. You do this, you test it out and come back up and then well you don't play from there. So she built a huge lead, and from that point on I was able to just take my time and kind of not rush and just make sure I didn't drop the puzzle piece on the way up or anything. And then I already knew Amber was a winner. Killing I think you have one in your backyard. You haven't told us about it, um, And I think Amber does this on the weekend. I know, I believe she might.
She might like go out on the weekend my coat to yoga, like goat yoga. I could see her doing that, getting like a macholazzo. I just want to go through this thing a bunch of times, real quick, right leisurely, just for fun. She kicks all the kids out of the McDonald's ball pin like that. Yeah, it was very similar to it. So it brought me back to like a childhood like you know, it's like, okay, it looks fun.
And honestly, that would be an elimination. I love watching to say what elimination would I be like, no, and what elimination? Really? I would say no to all of them, but that one actually looked pretty fun only either way down I would do it. And the puzzle, yeah, I would like them to pick me up with the crane every time and place me up like you. Oh, but because they talked about how for me it was a
challenge because she was shorter to like climb. How high do you guys think each of those layers like, did you feel like jump? I mean, Chauncey, you seem tall, but I'm not tall. I'm like five to eleven. Okay, I thought when I met him, right and I saw myself Chauncey, No, I'm like five, thought, Un, I'm like five eleven, six foot, so I'm not that. I'm not
that all advertising you're five eleven, Chauncey. My ID will be six foot next year, not next year with I'm gonna tell them, excuse me, I need to head in something from my height. I actually grew from last year. And no, you cannot measure me. This is what my doctor said. Yeah, I do have a behind the scenes things. So Chauncey and Amber are going up and down this thing and Amber loses something. Oh yeah, I'm surprised I didn't even show it. That's funny. So um Amber. So
when Amber puts a piece in her shirt, yeah remember that. Yep, he hit her necklace off and her necklace that I believe her grandmother gave it to her. I guess she had like the cross came off a bit. She had the necklace piece at the top. So when I went down my next one, I went down and I actually took time to look for it, and I picked it up, brought it back up, put in my pocket and make
sure that was good before we kept going. So what I took a little time down there too, like it was saying too, but I was like, if I see, I'm gonna make sure I grab it. So I make sure that I stopped and I grabbed it to make sure that she had it because I knew like how important it was to her. So I was like, I'm not gonna you know what I'm saying, Like, I understand this game is important, but that's something that it can't
be replaced. So I was like, I'm gonna make sure I actually you do get it, and luckily grabbed it and we continue and one So a romance. Not for
those listening who are currently in krusty situation ships. Look, this is real quick because you just A side note from Devin, a niece's friend and co hosted the Official Challenge podcast and Official Matchmaker You do not have to settle for the dusty person who won't even text you back, when there are men out there playing for a million dollars who will stop the clock and get the cross
for your necklace from your grandmama. I'm just saying you remember that the next time that person doesn't text you back, leaves you on red, put a TikTok story with somebody else. Remember you do not have to settle, because there are, in fact trying somebody who will find your God. But you know what wasn't you guys did not have a charm with that puzzle that they did not look at that Secnissa, I have so many, but when you're here you usually have them. So I just let you go.
I let you have your moments. That was a good one. Yeah, back to you, Johncey. Y'all sucked at that puzzle. What happened? Um? The puzzle was tough, like it was harder than of course, it created all eights, but it was harder than expected. Like we seeing we already like once we got to talk, we've seen that was eight. Yeah, but it was the
pieces putting them around. There was one piece in particular that had like it was at three, but it had two points in the middle, and that's what messed I'm pretty sure I messed up Derell too, because, um, we couldn't figure out where that one went because I've never even seen a shape like that ever. So we had to keep taking pieces down and like maneuvering them and
everything to figure out where that one three went. And luckily when we fixed it, we only had like that small piece left to put right down at the bottom. So how long did it take? Because you guys were making it seem like it's forever? So how I think they told us we was up there for an hour and what thirty were doing the puzzle or does that use the run? Just a puzzle, just a puzzle, just a puzzle. So the whole thing probably took The whole thing probably took about an hour and fifty because going
up and down was pretty fast. But as far as the puzzle, puzzle was up there for an hour and thirty minutes. Wow, And you gotta know it's difficult because going up and down, I'm like, okay, well, you know, Veronica might be at a small disadvantage because she's shorter and from the audience, like you see like, oh, it's a one, it's a two, it's a three, it's six, it's a nine, it's a whatever. How is it making eights? Like we couldn't help anybody but them going up and down.
I'm like, oh, for sure, like you and Amber would have had it. Yeah, and we were like, it can't be that simple. So that they give you the hardest puzzle known to man known to the challenge, it definitely had to be one of the hardest. Wow, it was tough. It was tough. Nactually, growing up, I love puzzles, so I was like, which is a lot lot fact love puzzles, So I was like, yeah, yeah, you guys gonna listening. But um so I was trying to I'm just like,
we can't figure this out. So I think the biggest thing was for Amber and I have to just communicate, but only one of us work on it at a time, because we caught ourselves both trying to work on it and it was not working. So we would let Amber go she couldn't figure it out, a few times I would go, which of course took longer time. But once we figure out that one piece in particular, everything else made sense. Have you guys worked on your puzzle skills.
Since have you done a puzzle together? Um? Not after that, but before we did a lot of tenegrams. We worked on math. You know Amber's math mainly, but know she's she had this calculus so that's all. That's a real thing, but face, but we worked on we worked on her math. My math isn't the best to you there, so I can't talk, but um, yeah, we did a lot of puzzles and stuff before, so I felt confident in the fact that we were doing a puzzle. Yeah, that the
puzzle and the challenge was a way. It was tough, but I don't know, Well, I'm proud of you guys for making that happen. Did it feel well? I guess it may not have had the same emotional impact on you. But did Amber share with you anything after you know, the elimination was over. You guys got back to the house around her feelings about going up against her mentor Darrell. Yeah, after after winning was a bitter sweet Um for me too though, because of course Darrell doesn't really talk too
much game. But just knowing the fact that he mentored Amber through basically lay her first season. I look up to him. Also, you know, I'm learning from Amber during the game, so I'm also learning from his game too. So it was a bittersweet because of course we want
to win, but Darrell has been nothing. But we know that we'll have each other back one hundred ten percent at that and the fact that we had to go up against him, it sucked to you know, I felt bad also for trying to win, but I understand that's a part of the game, and yeah, that's just what it was. So it sucked to see They want to want to see him go, but that's a part of it. I need to know. How do you feel now you win your first elimination ever, you win it with your girlfriend.
You're coming back into the game, are you like, now I'm targeting people or you know? Or do we go back to the drawing board? Are we going to find a new alliance? Are we what are we going to do? Well? Every night Amber and I were on the drawing board because we were technically playing our own game, so we She was allowing me to play my own game, which was crazy because I was still learning. So she understood that. So every night we'll meet up and we'll just have
conversations about what's going on in the house. So it was it was cool that we were able to get through that elimination everything. I think the only thing on my mind was like, all right, I want to make sure Neese and Nelson go home. I was like, they just did us dirty. Twice. I was like, I was like, I'm just happy to be here. I'm blessed. I this is a blessing, the fact that I was able to get through elimination. So I know that we could be
here longer. I just know as soon as I get back in the house and if I get the chance to win, Neurice and Nelson are going to be my main every single time. And at that moment, or at this moment, I'm like, I don't know Amber is gonna be okay with that, but that's what I want for my game. So putting these and Nellie t I'm black. The man got drunk with power and now he's got all the folks coming after him. Well, we don't want
your girlfriend Amber coming after you. And so since this is the challenge writer Dies, we have a little game we like to play where we are going to quiz you to just really make sure that you are a ride for our girl Amber. So we have three questions for you about Amber, and you should know them because not only is she your rid or die, but she she's your girl, so she's gonna come for you like you plan on coming for Nelson if you don't get
these right, No pressure, all pressure. Oh no. First question, Chaunce, Oh gosh. In this challenge, you have to memorize colors. What's Amber's favorite color? Green? Okay, that's one point for CHAUNCP number two? Who did Amber win Double Agents with c? T? All right? Okay? Third and final question, Michelle says Amber is like a noodle on this elimination. What is Amber's favorite pasta shape? M pasta ape? I don't know. I don't know many names of posta shapes, but I was
I can't. I kind of just go to the storm and store and if it looked good, I'm gonna buy it. So her favorite type of Posta dishes like ramen. I mean that's about it. I don't really. Oh well, you get two points and and you got one hundred points for the interviews. Yeah, you did, you did a drake? How was it for you? Did you have fun? It
was not this interview is dope. I definitely had fun. Um.
