I used to think it was like name dropping some old timey celebrity, and I recently realized it's just like a parson who is like a prep preacher, uh, and it's just meant to be the local, the local parson by the name of Brown. Parson Brown. He's a stand up guy, so

I hear. I've I've had some dealings with Parson Brown. I couldn't speak more highly of him, Uh, my favorite Christmas song? Since you didn't ask. I was going to ask Chuck. I was still dwelling on Parson Brown. Sorry is uh? I don't know. I like a lot of the you know, the Tom Tom Petty's Christmas song is great? What is I don't know this one? What's it called? Um? Tom Petty Christmas song? It is called Christmas all over Again? Of course I couldn't. I couldn't think of except so

many songs swirling my oh. I like that John Lennon one. So this is Christmas yeah something, and it's probably a little bit done, it's old. It's certainly better than the the Paul McCartney one Wonderful Christmas Time, which will make the waitresses. Christmas song is Emily's favorite, and it's a really good one. Maybe Christmas, maybe Christmas. I hope you have the what is it? How's it go? I don't

know this year. It's a it's a fun song. But Christmas all over Again by Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers is great. It's um at the very end, I mean, it's a good song because it's Tom Petty, but at the very end, as it's sort of fading out, Tom Petty and that great Gainesville, Florida. The accent of his goes. You know. For Christmas this year, I wanna something about a Ricking Backer guitar. A uh no, it was heys for not a Marshal amp. He asked for musical gear

and it's the cutest thing. In fact, I'm gonna look and see if over again. I bet you it doesn't show the end. Oh yeah, I want a new rick and Becker guitar, two Fender basement's a chuck Berry songbook xylophone, a xylophone. That's a nice twist. Oh my gosh, he needs two Fender basements. That's a lot. That's a lot of that's a lot of power. It's a lot of

a lot of amperage. So funny. But those basement apps, I think they were like built to be bass guitar amps, but then they just were like you know, people just love them for electric guitar. Yeah. I played through my vox for my guitar. And then in the band, you know, I kind of stock to the band room with gear so it would just live here. Uh And the dudes didn't have to bring over stuff, you know when they came. So for Eddie. I got a Fender twin silver face

that's just so goddamn loud. It's a very loud amnal Yeah. Yeah, I've got an Orange to twelve app that that has the potential to get quite loud, but I use it for recording mainly. I only play out very much these days, or having in a while, and I tend to turn it kind of low and just close my kit and make it kind of that way A lot of fun. Yeah, it's uh the vox. I just I didn't get the a c uh, I got the forty because as opposed to that, what is it a sixty? Now? Why am I?

I can't think of anything today? Nol It's Christmas other one with a single speaker, Yeah, A thirty. Yeah, that's the exactly. But there's there's a bigger one though. Yeah, there's the the double, which is you don't need that much in the basement first of all, and even when you play gigs, uh, you just you know you might get up. It sounds totally agreed, all right. Merry Christmas to my love Mike. This holiday has been hard due to the loss of loved ones. I've been an emotional mess and he's been stressed. A few of them might have been in the bullet but I'm doing my best and trying to do right by you. And you've been so kind and it's been so nice having your friendship and sending me a little trinkets and stuff. It always makes me feel like a million bucks. And I owe you a care package as well. I asked you some pointed questions about your favorite color and that was

not for nothing. So hopefully by now you've received that from from me as well. And if you haven't, well it's coming. I'm some slow. I'm a slow person, but I swear to God I value your our chats and your friendship very very much. And I hope you're having a lovely holiday. So it's like, you know, you don't want people to feel like un comfortable about just how they are. Uh. It's it's good to like have a snore discussion, and not just like

what you gotta do to get sleep everyone. Ruby crawls into bed with us now, starting about a year and a half ago, she started doing that in like the middle of the night. So sometimes she'll come in there and then we've got the dog and the cats on the bed and it gets a little crowded and she starts flopping around and smacking me in the face. So sometimes I will then go into her bedroom and sleep on her little, uh you know, five year old bed,

which is quite comfy. We all gotta get our sleep, everyone. Deb Sanders says, this Merry Christmas to all my fellow crushers. This year has been a ship show, but I've always found a laugh in humanity reading through these posts. I mostly lurk and read and listen. Uh, Deb, I'd like you speaking up. I like seeing your lovely face. You should comment more if you want. But I'm always appreciative

of everyone, and especially our fearless leader. I guess that's me who managed to turn a nationwide podcast into a tight little family. And how in the world did he manage that? Well? I didn't manage it, you guys managed It's true. I just started a Facebook page and you all said, all right, let's go now. There's something particularly special about this show and one of the reasons it's one of my favorite times doing these because there's always, you know, with the episodes that you do um where

you're talking to someone one on one. Those are obviously great too, but with this one, there is this inherent sense of like family and connectiveness that isn't always presence in and outside of just like a little segment here and there at the very end of an episode as an afterthought, and this whole show is kind of based on that, and it just really warms my heart. Also, I like hanging out with you a little bit too, Chuck. I'm not gonna lie. Hey me too, buddy. You have

made this year a lot better for me. The fact that we get to sit down and do this every week or every other week is something I always look forward to, say. Losing a pet is ninety nine point nine nine as bad. They stay with us for such short times, But they love so hard. It will get better. You will never forget,

you will learn to remember. That's really sweet. I don't think I've mentioned this on the on the show, but you know, Eden got a hamster um and it it just died. And I didn't realize this, but like that's what I know, bro, So I looked it up and I realized we just signed up for like a minimum, like a ticking time bomb of heartache, because a maximum hamster lifespan is like a year and a half or something.

It's it's two years, I think max for like a particular type of hamster and this one maybe a little more hardy. Yeah, well this one just yeah, it was just it was such a sweet little little guy and then it was just belly up. But uh as silver lining. It did convince me to like, okay, let's get an animal that will last a little honker and uh we got a cat, and I think you know, um, I've had some pet losses. Pet that I got from you actually lost in a sad fashion, maybe the black cat um.

And I had another cat with my roommate that was mainly his cat, and then I moved out and have not had a cat. But now welcome to the family. Chrom the tuxedo cat, which is my and Eden's cat alone, and she's just a delight and I really love her already. That's wonderful. I have a tuxedo leave honest, a tuxedo cat. Nice. All right, I'm gonna do a few more of these. I said I was gonna do two more, but now I see some of the old favorites and I don't want to like leave them out in the cold. Uh,
