Be a disciple and follow Him.
The shed blood of Jesus Christ is the power by which each Christian walks day by day.
Thoughts of my great-grandfather come to my mind each time I sing this song. His story of coming to Jesus was one in which ask Jesus to hear his cry and call. For him, he was sitting on a wagon in the barn when he knew his hour of decision had come. Stinking Creek in Knox County Ky at Mills, Ky will always be home. Shannon and I sing duet on this hymn.
Sung at many a funeral and tragic hour. It is well with my soul is more than a hymn. It is a personal statement of Christian faith.
Music of my childhood and that of my father too. His favorite hymn. Dedicated to James Ernest Mills Sr.
Another great old hymn, “What a day that will be”. I’ve heard many a shout of praise during the singing of this hymn in the country churches that sit in the Hill of southeastern Kentucky. One of my favorites.
Shannon Bunch playing the piano and singing verses with me as we sing together a great hymn from the old red hymnal. A song sung in all our old mountain churches.
Dedicated to my mother, Bernadine Mills, on this Mother’s Day 2018. Training up a child in the way they should go is a fundamental discipline to parenting. I salute my mother for her training and teaching me the Christian Faith. The song comes from the musical vault of a collection of hymns and solo’s from my experience and walk of faith. Shannon Bunch not only is playing the piano but providing harmony for the recording.
Not sure where your strength comes from but it is faith that provides me all I need. This recording was discovered in the music vault of unpublished songs of our personal testimony. It is our prayer you will discover through faith courage for whatever days you are facing.
From the music archives this recording was discovered. Me singing one of the very first songs from my music ministry days with my dear friend Shannon Bunch on the piano. There is nothing like making music together with Shannon and nothing like singing my personal thanks to God for touching my life.
The Temple had been in a remodeling phase for 46 years and it still wasn’t complete. The Jews totally misunderstood what Jesus was talking about when He said “destroy the temple and in 3 days I’ll build it again”. They could not imagine such...especially since they had been rebuilding the past 46 years. A MISUNDERSTANDING totally. Yet while some people were totally confused by the words of Jesus, still others believed. We must be careful when listening to Jesus to make sure we don’t add our pers...
Hypocrisy is one subject that is easy to talk about, especially when we are pointing out that others are hypocrites. How fried Chicken becomes a part of the conversation is one that will require you to listen to the message and find out.

Jesus was asked about taxes in Matthew 22:15-22 and his response was give to the government that which is required and give unto God what is His. The question we are left asking is what does God require?

The Bible in Matthew 21:33-46 tells is a parable Jesus shared about a landowner who had rented out his fields for planting. The story leads to Jesus talking about a cornerstone that the builders rejected. You and I have a choice. We can pray to join God in His work or He has the option to take away the harvest because of our lack of production.
So a question was asked of Jesus and He decided to only answer their question if they would answer His. Then he shared the Parable of Two Sons. One son said no to the fathers request. The other son said yes. Which son would you say was a good son? The answer is not complicated, but it is challenging. What happens when we say NO to Jesus? What happens when we say YES? The answer can be complicated but not so complicated if the words NO or YES are a combination of words and action....

Here are two questions: Did anyone on earth teach Jesus anything? Did Jesus ever change His mind? This message will be a teacher and we are her students. Troubling passages of scripture still must be addressed so we can 'learn'. Challenging situations we will face in life and our response might very well need to be that we change our position. Let's look to Jesus for our lesson and answer the first two questions.
Yes, weeds are mentioned in the Bible. Learn God's plan and our life experiences as we plant, grow and harvest.
What understanding must we have to be a positive follower of Jesus in order to keep pushing on. Understanding the people we will meet as we tell others about Jesus is a must so we don't become discouraged.
