Thoughts of my great-grandfather come to my mind each time I sing this song. His story of coming to Jesus was one in which ask Jesus to hear his cry and call. For him, he was sitting on a wagon in the barn when he knew his hour of decision had come. Stinking Creek in Knox County Ky at Mills, Ky will always be home. Shannon and I sing duet on this hymn.

So a question was asked of Jesus and He decided to only answer their question if they would answer His. Then he shared the Parable of Two Sons. One son said no to the fathers request. The other son said yes. Which son would you say was a good son? The answer is not complicated, but it is challenging. What happens when we say NO to Jesus? What happens when we say YES? The answer can be complicated but not so complicated if the words NO or YES are a combination of words and action....

Funeral Joseph T Ledford

'Joe Tom' Ledford was a friend to many, a husband to Gail, a father to his sons Dane and Mark. His grandchildren loved him and on September 10, 2017 his family, friends and church gathered to celebrate his life. This service was held at the First Presbyterian Church of Harlan during the 10:45am regular Sunday worship hour. The church choir provided special music and church pastor, Rev Tim H Mills presided over the service.
